Raiders sat in the HQ, getting ready to depart. Then a voice commed in,   "Attention Dominion task force, this is Seargent Major Demi Wraith. I want you all to get to the Dominion as soon as possible. The Captain of your VSD will send information down to you as a pick up point. You MUST be there. That is all." Snake came up to Otto and Shadow, who were sitting next to Jedi. He ordered them to go round up the rest of Raiders. The rest of the Dominion task force would group up just out side the HQ, and wait for the Dominion's shuttles. The shuttles landed at 18 hundred hours. Only an hour after DW made his announcment. The shuttles lifted off and headed for the orbit, where they would dock with the Dominion. All of the task force were aboard three ships except for about a dozen troops, posted to defend the HQ. Dark Dragoons, Iron Hourse, and Raiders, all led by Demi Wraith. They landed on the VSD and flew into hyperspace for Lotaith. And met no opposition, until they reached the Lotaith system.

-------------- Captial World - Government Plaza -------------- General Matok waited patiently as his contingent waited was held inside the government plaza. The enterance was completely detroyed, litering the area with concrete chunks, sparking wires and glass panes. Burnt wrecks of tank droids and walkers were now combat barriers as each side fired hand-held blasters and projectiles. Fighters passed overhead on gunning patrols, carefully trying to avoid the groups of Vast Empire anti-air troops that held the roof tops of the surrounding skyscrapers. Matok and a few of his officers barracading themselves behind a table as they fired on packets of troops inside the main hallway. An entire tank droid was flaming on one side of the wall as torn ceiling tiles and sparks covered its perimeter. It was sheer havoc. Bodied or more descriptive, parts of bodies lay in wastes around multiple wreck sites and battle scared areas of the hall. A few combat clothed, heavily armoured Vast Empire riot troopers rushed in, covered in thick black armour and grey riot gear, heavy repeaters in hand. A few hald riot shields, blocking mass amounts of laser fire from Matoks attackers.  The entire republic group opened fire, taking out the first line of riot troops, others quickly placed their shields forward, batons in the air as they charged, smashing enemy skulls with their increased strength from the suits mechanical implants. The fighting was brutal, especially when mines and granades were interduced but after a handheld projectile was fired, the Vast Empire riot troops were victorious. They helped Matok to his feet as well as his officers. Matok saluted the squad leader as a smile climbed his face. "Hurry." said one trooper, "more will soon be here, re need to get to the main level at once." and with that, they were off. ------------------------------- OOC : sry i havent posted in a while due to unforseen circumstances

Argon Viper took aim at one of the drivers through his sniper scope. Beside him, Ramon Stonefish did the same. Each of the four vehicles carried a crew of five, and with Maul and Myrrdin targeting one each with a missle launcher, that meant ten men had to be sniped before they could get a report off. Argon lined up his target and pressed gently on the trigger. As his weapon whispered, Fish's weapon followed suit, eliminating the driver of the other vehicle. Slightly behind and above them, Maul and Myrrdin loosed their missles, destroying the other two vehicles and their crews entirely. The remaining eight men stood for a few seconds, costing four of them their lives, and then began a dead rush for the comms inside the vehicles. None made it. "All right squad,"said Argon, standing up and walking toward the massive artillery vehicles,"we're going to make command very happy..." [OOC: Fury, you guessed correctly.]

Cool....thanks Argon. Fury debated the current course of action.  Forward advances had been fairly gruesome to this point.  Apparently, Intel - trying to atone for previous screw-ups - had discovered that instead of a couple of floundering regiments ahead of the VE thrust, there were two brigades lying in wait.  This was backed by visual records of assembly areas.  Basically, there was no way they would be making a breakthrough here...though they were dug in quite nicely. Meanwhile, the FES had apparently come to the same conclusion and had fortified their lines.  General Matok had already moved into the city with a quick strike team, dropping into the rubble from airspeeders and repulsorlifts and making huge headway into securing the capital plaza.  This would provide some breathing room for the beleaugered command staff and it's defenders. Hopefully Captain Cosmic could work with the FES to route the town center clear of enemy and begin some semblance of a command post.  It would eventually take Fury out of a field job but it was a good thing for the overall campaign. Until then, without any hopes of mass advance, it might be time to go head hunting.  Fury grabbed a datapad, starting jotting notes and went looking for people and supplies.

Cosmic received a message that his new objective was to rendezvous with General Matok of the Force Elite Soldiers, and assist him in liberating the Central Plaza.  However, things weren't going to be as easy as they were on Tadath.  The enemy forces here were superior in number, and the FES and Cosmic would have to slowly make their way in. Cosmic was transported two miles away from General Matok's forces so as to not let any enemy snipers have any shot at the VEA Captain. Cosmic watched as the shuttle quickly ascended and headed back to the VEA military forces. Cosmic hopped onto a speeder that was purposely left for him to use to get to the FES forces. Cosmic was stopped by some FES troopers.  They checked him, and then they let him go through.  Cosmic nodded and hopped off the speeder.  He then found his way to a nearby hovertank where General Matok was discussing strategy tactics and plans to an officer. Cosmic walked up to General Matok, who then turned to face Cosmic. Cosmic saluted to the General, and was acknowledged by a returned salute. "Good day, General." Said Cosmic. General Matok nodded. "Yes. Excellent day.  I feel that we will win the Central Plaza soon, and have the Rebels flushed out of here." Cosmic smiled. "Well, I believe you have a job for me?" General Matok smiled. "I see you're the kind who likes to get right to the point.  I like that." General Matok motioned for Cosmic to follow him. Cosmic was lead to a small wooden table with a map of the terrain and symbols for Rebel positions. "I'm going to assign four of our best snipists." Said the General. Cosmic nodded. "There's a small Rebel outpost near the Plaza.  It's holding our forces back.  Even though they are small in size, their weaponry is huge.  They have heavy, heavy artillary.  I need you to kill the officers in charge, and try to destroy their communications radios.  We'll deal with the artillary by sending some heavy troops your way.  Try to do your job fast so as to not let the enemy call for reinforcements." Cosmic nodded. "Another day's work." Said Cosmic with a smile. General Matok chuckled and nodded. "Well, you prepare yourself. I'll get the snipists." Cosmic nodded. Cosmic was wearing camoflaged suit.  His lightsaber was hooked on his hilt, and ready for it's duty...

Stonefish watched Myrrdin and Maul drive the artillery units off toward the main LZ. He hoped that they got through all right. Meanwhile, Viper was talking to him. "Intel suggests that we have roughly two brigades between us and the main LZ to the north. A brigade to the south of us. Mountains to the east, and the main battleground near the city to the west," he said, "Got any ideas?" "Yeah," said Stonefish, "Let's go back to the shuttle." "Why?" "I got something that may be handy." The pair of them jumped on swoops they had been riding double with the recruits and shot back to the shuttle still parked at their drop point. When they got back, Stonefish got off his swoop and started rubbing his hands together. He walked into the bay and activated the cargo crane. A large, swept-wing fighter craft was lowered out on to the rough ground. "I say that I do some scouting in this," said Stonefish, "while you do the same on your swoop." "Okay," said Viper dubiously. Stonefish climbed into the atmospheric fighter and began prelaunch checks. He was glad that they had found a nice flat patch of ground to land on, gave him a decent runway. The engines whined as they warmed up and the console inside came alive. He put flight helmet on his head and checked the comm unit. "See you soon," he said to Viper as the canopy closed over him. The repulsorlifts kicked in and the fighter floated above the ground, drifting slowly in the stiff breeze, and bending the grass flat underneath. As Stonefish powered the engines the whine increased to a roar as the afterburner lit and with a trail of smoke and flame, the V-Wing shot into the air. Viper watched as the craft wobbled a little and banked off the west, doubtless off to survey the city. He kicked the swoop into gear and headed south after locking the shuttle back up. Stonefish watched from the cockpit as Viper angled away to the south. He turned his attention back to what was ahead of him. Dropping to an altitude of fifty feet, he pushed the fighter to max speed and switched on his nose-mount camera. The display in the cockpit lit up with a live feed. He saw the foothills of the mountains give way to the plains around the city. Up ahead, he saw columns of smoke rising, and clouds of dust lifted by tanks and APCs. He angled in to give them a pass. A few more intelligent troopers unslung blaster rifles and took a few potshots as he passed, but their shots went wide and they were flung to the ground by air pressure as he passed at around eight hundred kilometres an hour. He approached the city and his display registered an IFF query from a VE source. He saw the rebel fighters over the city firing down on the troops there amongst the rubble, occasionally one would veer too near to an anti-aircraft battery and would go up in a ball of flame. "Come in, unknown fighter, this is Captain Cosmic, do you read," said a familiar voice over the comm. "Roger, Cosmic, this is Stonefish here, just taking my V-Wing out for a spin, taking in a few sights, stand by for burst transmission," he replied. "Roger that, standing by." Stonefish flipped the switch on his camera control setting it to transmit the video buffer. "Thanks, Fish," said Cosmic, "I'm sure the Intel boys will do something with this." Just then, a sudden impact rocked the fighter. Stonefish checked his displays and saw a rebel speeder on his tail. Dropping lower, in amongst the ruins of the buildings, Stonefish sought to shake him off, he swung around a corner, and cut the engines. The fighter went ballistic until around ten feet from the ground when the repulsorlift kept him off the ground. The rebel fighter went overhead, and Stonefish powered the engines up and almost bounced up behind the rebel fighter. The speeder lay square in his sights, Stonefish squeezed the trigger and energy lanced out from the twin blaster cannon mounted under the wings of the fighter. They hit the engines of the speeder in front, and they went out, leaving the speeder with all the aerodynamics of a steel brick. Stonefish pulled up out of the concrete canyon and checked his scanners. "Cos, I'm gonna do the same for the guys up by the LZ so they know what they're against." "Roger, good luck man."

Taking the speeder bike with him, Argon headed off toward the nearest of the brigade command centers. The path he chose had little resistance, and more than a few corpses marked his path. But those were trifling details next to his target. Before he left, he had programmed the comm on the shuttle to rebroadcast his personal comm's transmissions to Fury and Cos, they would want to hear about this. Within an hour, he was on the outskirts of the command center. There, he made some last minute modifications to his speeder bike, and went off to a cliff with a nice overview of the center. Killing the two guards who were there, he set up his sniper rifle and remote control unit, he was ready to start. He pressed the forward button on the controller and picked up his rifle. Down below him, the speeder shot out of the woods and through the doors of the base as the sentry on duty dropped without his head. He steared the speeder around a corner, and took out a man standing near the armory. Then, he put a shot into the armory at the point where explosives would be stored, detonating the building and anything around it. Pressing the controls one more time, he aimed the speeder at his original target, the main command building. It slammed into the building at over 400 kph, compressing the feul tanks to the point of combustion. But that was nothing compared to what followed. The shaped charge mounted on it exploded when it registered no more forward momentum. The charge exploded on a completely horizontal plane, ripping through the base within seconds and reducing it to a fiery inferno. The upper levels of the command building, lacking a bottom story, hung for a moment, and then crashed to the ground, each floor getting smashed flat by the sheer momentum it had. As Argon watched, every other building in the base repeated the pattern. "Argon to VE,"he said into his comm,"the 2nd brigade's command center is gone.  Feel free to take advantage of that." "Argon this is Fury,"came the response,"say again?  I'm not sure I heard you right..." "You heard me,"said Argon, starting back toward the DK shuttle,"the former command center is now a real version of hell.  Enjoy..."

Raziel smiled and breathed easily as the shuttle dropped down from the scythe towards the planet. He drew one if his knives and checked the blade, carefully. He had re-sharpened them all on the way here, but was always checking to make sure the mono-molecular edge stayed in-tact.     Raziel was calm and happy for once, this was the first drop he had made in the last month that would be calm. All the others had been at break-kneck speeds, or had involved ejecting in a pod at 200 feet above ground.     Raziel rubbed a hand accross his face, he didn't like the amount of hair that had built up across his face in the last few months of war. Oh well, it didn't affect him really. He had however cut his hair, albeit badly, on the journey. His hair could get in the way.     "the arrow-23's strapped down?" Raziel asked. He was referring to the two new shuttles they had been granted, each one was modified for speed and stealth. Each came with a laser turret and a mounted concussion grenade launcher. Raziel had had some camouflaged webbing applied so that they could be hidden easily. He hoped they could use them to ambush convoys and such.     Raziel nodded back to Agent as he signalled that all was well. Raziel smiled and sat back down in his chair. He had little time now to relax, soon he would be back in battle. And at the city on anobis being chased by a whole city of soldiers he needed some relaxation. Not that Tadath had been much nicer, and now apparantly the situation on Lolaith was not a nice and neat one at all.     "Wraiths, this is pilot. We have inoming missile. Strap down."     Raziels hopes of a smooth ride were shattered. Oh well he should have expected it really. He and the rest of the wriaths strapped their weapons down and locked themselves into their seats.     Raziel was glad to see that his squad were still wearing thr combat knives and emergency belts he had gotten them.     Raziel didn;t care much about that a second later when something rocked the ship. Then something else hit them and the lights went out.     "This is pilot, we've been hit, but we'll be ok"     Raziel was not particularly convinced by the lurching movements and discouraging sounds from the shuttle, but he managed a brief smile to his men.     "not like this" he pleaded under his breath. If he died it would be on the ground. Then again he would be on the ground, just in a kind of flattened out manor.     Raziel's shoulders were almost dislocated as the shuttle seemed to be thrown back out of the atmosphere.     "What the hell just happened?" Raziel asked, fearing another missile.     The speaker crackled, then a door slid open and the pilot entered their sealed compartment.     "We've touched down, you'd better be off."     The doors dropped down and the two arrow23's slid out of the ship. When the squad turned and regarded the damage to the shuttle, they saw how lucky they had been. Raziel praised the pilot greatly and offered him a lift to army HQ. The pilot declined, saying he would get someone else to come down and pick him up.     The Arrow-23's spead across the terrain at half speed, still enough to make Raziel wince. Agent was flying this one, whilst Dragoon was piloting the other. Kiption had control of the second shuttles weapons, whilst Arkanian was manning the guns on the 1'st one.     The shuttles carried on at their hieght of 4m above the ground, raziel decided that if they ever got caught out these things could speed out of combat quick stylee.     "Fury this is Raziel, Wraiths are on the ground. We're on the arrows, what do you want doing?" OOC: c'mon wraiths. Kip, Dragoon, arkanian, sniper, dez, i'd like you all posting on this one pls

The Dominion and its escorts exited hyperspace and back to real space, they had reach Lotaith space finally.  A large naval battle was taking place, the entire VEN fleet was fighting the enemy fleet.  Enemy and VEN fighters were engaged in intense dogfights.  Looks like the two fleets were evenly matched, just then two of the enemy's Lancer Frigates was just blown up by a flight of TIE Bombers; looks like the VEN has the upperhand... for now. Sirens went off through out the whole VSD, naval and army personnel were scrambling from place to place,  the Dominion was under attack by starfighters.  DW rallied all the troopers and got them heading towards the docking bay. The captain on the Dominion barked out orders.  The TIE Droids were launced immeadiately to engage enemy starfighters coming towards them, the Interloper-class Escort Frigates were given orders to engaging the Corellian Corvettes.  Within the Dominion's docking bay, naval personnel and droids were moving back and forth, ships were being prepped for lauch; it was pandemonium.  Stormtroopers were hastily boarding Stormtrooper Transports, while the Assualt Transports were being quickly loaded with the Repulsortanks, Armored Attack Tanks, Siege Vehicles, Hovertanks, Military Speeder Bikes, AT-PTs, AT-STs, AT-AAs, and AT-ATs that were taken from the Imperial Center. The captain hailed Riel Fury on the Devastator and requested for fighter escorts for the transports.  Riel had very little flights that he can spare, he needed every starfighter in batltle.  Riel looked at the battle screen, he saw that flight one from Aegis is the closet flight to the Dominion.  Riel gave out new orders to Kain's flight, to escort the transports. The Dominion launched the transports one by one, soon all ten transports were lauched and on their way to Lotaith  Flight one met up with the transports. "Incoming, we've got some of Z-95s coming towards us from 7 o' clock and a few R-41s from 4 o' clock, and T-Wings coming from 2 o' clock." "Roger that, Lonewolf.  Ossry and Twin, you guys will engage those Z-95s. Lonewolf you'll get the R-41s and I'll handle the T-Wings.  Alright guys lets do it!"  The four starfighters broke off and veered towards their targets.  Good luck guys. DW sent out the message to the pilots telepathically through the Force. "Hey army grunts listen up, this is your pilot speaking.  We'll be landing on Lotaith ETA four minutes, so get yourselves strapped in and brace yourselves, we gonna be entering the atmosphere in a minute or two."  The troopers in the Stormtrooper Transports braced for the violent shaking as they entered the atmosphere.  A minute later all the transports entering the atmosphere of Lotaith landed on the planet.  All the troopers stormed out the transports, the equipment from the Assualt Transports were being unloaded quickly. Within minutes all the equipment had been unloaded and all the troops awaited their orders.  "Alright troops listen up, our first priority is to gather more information on enemy troop location and strength.  There should be Partisan groups about 10 klicks southwest from our current locations, they should be able to help us.  Alright troopers get your stuff ready, we'll be moving soon."   ----------------------- Sergeant Major Duran "Demi Wraith" Driscoll PC/SGM Demi Wraith/2SQD/1PLT/1COM/1BAT/1RGT/VEA/VE [ES:2] [EW:1]

The arrow's made all speed to argon and had him out of the area in minutes. None of them noticed the scouting party that they had almost come into contact with.     "Hi there argon, been having fun?" Raziel asked, smiling.     "Mostly yeah, but there's just so many of these damn rebels."     "Oh well, if you have a look at the map fury sent round i think we can cause some problems for them."     "yep?"     "Well on Fury's first map at the most southern point their lines are fairly thinly spread infront of their artillery, i figure if we can break through somewhere along the lines we can hit the enemy artillery and then o into hiding."     "Sounds fair enough, we might go with you i'll think about it" argon replied, obviously not commiting himself or his squad.     "Remeber the convoy on Tadath, well i recon that these Arrows are perfect for setting up an ambush. We can hide them at a roadside, strike quickly and get out of there before anyone can stop us. If we can halt their supply trains their lines will crumble fairly quickly, wither that or they'll be forced to divert men to stop us." Raziel had spent some time thinking about this, if the landing VE troops were to cause any serious threat they would have to break through quickly, not fall into the territorial trench warefare that was currenty coing on, after all they were STORMtroopers.     After a whole week of probing raids and scouting Raziel had guessed the line's weakest point.     "Ok Fish has got us some info on the ways the convoy's are heading out from the convoy so we have some idea of where to go when we break through."     "You sure we can get through here?" Agent asked.     Raziel smiled: "Yep but we're gonna need those whisper rifles we have now. We're gonna spend a few hours shooting anyone who sticks their head out of that trench or tries to take a c**p, when they're shook up enough we'll try and break through at full speed."     In minutes the whole squad were set up, keeping a perfectly distance from the trench. All taking aim and preparing to start shooting anything that moved. OOC: sorry i didn't have long to post

OOC:  Let's see if my browser dies THIS time. With the current battlefield pretty static, Fury had decided to do some scouting. The enemy pushes at the VE/FES lines had gone nowhere for days.  General Matok had taken an expeditionary team into the capital to expand the ground the High Council's guard had kept intact.  Captain Cosmic had shuttled in to help with that.  With the Corps now landing somewhere to the northeast, that took a lot of the pressure off of his troops, especially with Argon's disruptive attack of a brigade HQ in the middle of what essentially enemy territory.  More troops meant more freedom of movement, and he wasn't about to let that opportunity pass by. It had taken two days, most of them running along a dry creek bed or through rotting fields of tallgrain, but he and a mixed platoon of talented troops - some veterans, some recent volunteers - had made it through to the other side of the enemy front.  Now split into various three to four man teams, they had joined up with some of the partisans that had held the highlands to the southeast of the capital and were scouting the area out, looking for potential targets of opportunity and generally hoping to do anything they could to slow the enemy down. This had been going on for three days now and the work was very hard, but fruitful. Fury had to admit he was having fun, even though he spent most of the evenings on his datapad, trying to keep up with all the comm messages that came from an organized military force now on the same planet he was.  Normally all he had received were updates from Demi Wraith; now every squad leader and scouting mission in the Corps was providing him with updates nearly on the hour.  This was their duty and he was glad for the professionalism and order, but he really had wanted to leave admin work back on the other side of the front lines. Sellars, the old farmer who had been their lead scout over the past few days came up to him once his reports and messages were sent.  Without the visor he had on to work with his datapad in the dark, he wouldn't have seen him. The man barely ever slept it seemed.  "Just finished a perimeter check, sir.  We are clear to at least a kilometer away.  I thought you'd like to know before you headed off to sleep," he whispered, on his way to a cold cup of coffeine. Fury thought a moment on how the partisans had learned their trade - most likely against the VE when they were the invaders.  More importantly, he kept returning to the thought of what the leadership would do about a heavily armed, highly trained population once the war was over.  Without any solutions to either question, he went to sleep. A couple of hours later, Mister Sellars awoke them quietly, passed each of them a cold cup of coffeine and a ration bar, and they departed.  This close to the mountains, the weather was cold and humid.  Fury stopped a couple times to silently sneeze into his sleeve.  The terrain here was treacherous.  Every path was blockaded by fallen trees and netting, traps against any walkers or speeders the enemy might try to venture in with.  Beyond that were broken areas of crushed trees, the results of enemy artillery going after what they initially thought was a large enemy force.  They met up with a team of partisans, including one, a large man named Rogsin, who Fury remembered as one of the many capital policemen who had gone out to get citizen militas formed early in the captain.  "Captain Rogsin," Fury said as he took the man's hand. "Lieutenant, actually" the man added. "You need to get out more.  You all got promoted while you were gone.  Can't say you'll appreciate why though.  What's new?" "You're about half a klick from the front line, though Sellars prolly told you that.  We're the droid disabler team. Every day, the enemy puts out remotes, maybe a scout or a series of probe droids.  So, every day, we come out, find them, destroy them, gut them for parts, and head back to see what we can use from the circuit boards." He hefted a bag of clattering components, with a large Mandroxan diasabler slung over the other shoulder. "Seems we're stopping you from an entertaining day.  Good luck Major," he added as he walked off with his team. "Guess he missed that promotion too," one of his team muttered as they walked in the other direction.  Fury chuckled and moved along with them. In time, they came across an operations center.  Some guards patrolled the perimeter with the forest, but for the most part were bored and inattentive.  He had been told that the partisans - other than attacking the droids - had done nothing more than watch the enemy in the past couple of weeks.  Even the occasional sniper was now relentlessly hunted by fighters and artillery now that the enemy was here in strength. However, no one was looking for four men crawling through the early morning mists and mud towards the center of the camp.  Sellars, looking like a person of authority, stepped up to a shadowy guard, knocked him cold, and took the man's uniform tunic.  In the fog, any figure was a potential friend or enemy and the guard chose wrong. Since most of the rear element soldiers were mercenaries or irregulars of all shapes and forms, it wasn't too hard to get by with walking through the camp - as long as they had a rank cylinder and a passcode to work with.  Sellars had already palmed the cylinder.  Upon dragging the man behind a couple of unpowered cargo trucks, he discovered the password in short time.  Stepping out from behind the vehicle he looked at Fury, "Don't worry about him, he won't be talking to anyone." Sellars, like many of the partisans he had met, had lost his home and family to the enemy invasion.  There was no love lost between him and their adversaries.  Fury had no real authority over the man, so he decided to do his job his way and let the scout deal with his grief and need for vengeance as he saw fit. Knowing a little about ion drives, Fury headed over to the impromptu starport...basically some quickly poured permacrete and a few shuttles.  With a visit to a barracks, they all had rank cylinders and almost 45 minutes with which to set up utter mayhem.  No one in particular noticed as he went into one of the cargo shuttles and rewired the safeties around ion capacitors.  Basically, once the ship lifted off, an energy cascade would feed the drives with more energy than they could handle at low thrust.  This would leave the pilot with two options; either go to maximum velocity and get torn apart by the atmosphere, or kill the engines and crash, which would damage the shuttle if not kill the crew outright - repulsors or no. He couldn't do anything to the repulsorlifts themselves without it being obvious that something was amiss.  He managed to repeat the task on another shuttle, before attracting the attention of a mechanic.  Taking that as a cue, he left the tarmac and headed over to the mess hall where he found Sellars adding a biological agent to the officer's morning pastries, still cooling on a baker's rack.  Technically, it was murder - but it was not mass murder - which was something Fury could live with.  In that regard, one of his troopers was adding another concoction to the camp's water supply, in the tanks themselves.  Since all water was filtered carefully on any world, no one would think to check an already filtered tank until half the camp was experiencing the dysentary they would soon get. Looking over at the motor pool, he saw one of his men leave the parts shed.  If all had went well, he would have set up more than a few detonators to take out spares for all the speeders, swoops, track, wheeled, and walker vehicles in this area.  They would have liked to have worked the same magic on the armory, but figured the security there to be a bit tighter.  The last man was busy creating a breach on the far side of the camp, hoping to through off pursuit. Fury started off towards the regrouping area - back where they had taken the guard.  Once there, he noticed no one was checking the place out, other than two of his men.  Sellars eventually arrived with a grim smile on his face.  The last of his soldiers came around a moment later, making sure he wasn't followed and giving a thumbs up as to his role in creating a diversion.  With morning coming, the fog was beginning to lift.  Not waiting for the blast from the far side of the camp, they crossed back into the woods, moments later hearing a few muffled blasts.  It would be fun to stay around and watch events unfold, but not entirely safe.  The team melting into the trees on a circuitous route back to their camp.

Argon returned to the base and considered Raz' plan. However, that would have to wait until Fish and the newbies were back, and that wouldn't happen too soon. He entered in a request to be sent to Fury: 1 platoon of regulars 1 heavy weapon per squad 4 landing ships 4 fire support ships 400 cuncussion missles 5 launchers per ship 8 laser cannons per ship full weaponry and equipment for the platoon Argon wasn't just a psychotic terrorist, the Fallen Angels had once commanded the Army of the Intruder Wing, and Argon remembered what he had learned there. He had a plan... [OOC: Fury, aprove or deny my request please  ]

After a break at the main LZ and a chat with Demi Wraith over what he had ahead of him, Fish was back in his V-Wing and heading back to the capital. It was time to see if he could reduce the odds a little. It was unlikely he was going to gain air superiority with a single atmospheric fighter, but from the reports coming down from orbit, they weren't likely to get any help from the Navy any time soon. He hit the perimeter at mach 2 and spotted half a dozen craft looping around the city dropping proton bombs at odd intervals. Every now and then a missile would shoot up on a smoke trail, and more often than not explode when it hit a chaff-ball. The rubble was increasing now, and there were less buildings still standing. Perhaps that was the goal of the bombers - to reduce the cover in the city for when the main push arrived. If it arrived. He zeroed in on one of the enemy and brought the targetting data up on one of the CFDs in the cockpit. A modified V-Wing. They had sacrificed a little speed and aerodynamic performance to add bomb pods under the wings. It was about half a klick from him, and it hadn't noticed yet. About three seconds later, he was a few feet from it, applying the air-brake liberally. Stonefish tracked and lead his target a little and opened up with his laser cannon. It went down nicely. He turned his attention to the other fighter-bombers over the city. Five, he counted. Turning in on the first one, it tried to lead him between two of the taller standing buildings left in the city, in a repeat of his earlier trick, it banked right and dropped. Stonefish pulled up and over the top of the building, leaving him on a high angle of attack, with the target's cockpit square in his sights. The guy didn't even look up, he was too busy looking behind to see Stonefish pop out between the buildings. Right up until he got vapourised. OOC: I'll do a bit more later.

Cosmic took a deep breath as he and the other four snipists were hiding behind a large bunch of bushes.  The were right beside the small squad of heavy artillary.  It was pretty amazing that they weren't spotted. Cosmic looked at the snipists' weapons.  Their sniper rifles were specially designed to be literally silent went fired.  Interesting... Cosmic saw several sergeant majors walking around the tanks, and four lieutenants giving orders to the two sergeant majors.  One of the lieutenants had a map in his hands. Cosmic turned to the snipists. "We take out the lieutenants first." Whispered Cosmic. Cosmic brought out his lightsaber and peered through the bushes at the officers. "I'll go behind their crates of ammo over there and try to make a distraction.  You guys start firing when ready.  If all goes planned, they should all have their backs to you." The snipists nodded. Cosmic quickly used the Force to gain amazing speed, while his body was ducked down. He quickly stopped and hid behind the ammo crates. Cosmic peered through the little crack and saw that he was right by the four lieutenants.  Their pistols were in their hilts, but the two sergeant majors had rifles. Cosmic slowly did a crouch-walk away from the lieutenants and towards the heavy repeater guns.  Cosmic looked around on the ground and found a small rock, about as big as his fist.  He quickly picked it up and threw it away from himself, and into the bushes. The rock it a tree, and the soldiers quickly grapped their weapons started to slowly walk towards the trees.  The Rebel troopers started running towards cover and aiming at where the sound was located.  The snipists knew that this was there diversion.  They quickly fired on the officers with their silent rifles.  The lieutenants fell to the ground.  The troops and sergeant majors looked at their dead officers.  They looked around, but they didn't see anyone. Suddenly, one of the sergeant majors yelled, "Snipers!  Activate the infra red sensors!" Cosmic knew that this was his cue.  He quickly got behind a heavy repeater and started firing on the remaining troopers.  Cosmic saw the trooper fall to the ground, and there weren't too many troopers because this was apparantly a heavy artillary squad.  Cosmic shot down the sergeant major who was running to the infra red sensor.  He then started shooting down more and more corporals and privates.  Once that was done, he knew that the snipists would kill the remaining sergeant majors, and they did. As soon as the last sergeant major fell, the snipers out from their hiding position and towards Cosmic.  Cosmic quickly got on top of a heavy-hover-tank and opened up the hatch.  Fortunately, no one had manned the tanks yet....or so he thought.  Apparantly, there was one trooper who had managed to get into one tank.  The tank quickly turned around and fired at the snipists and Cosmic. Cosmic saw this and quickly used Force Speed to shove the snipists 15 feet away.  The impact left Cosmic in the lines of the missile though...He quickly ducked down, and saw the missile blow right passed him.  His eyes filled with terror as the missile hit the ammo crates and made a huge explosion. Cosmic was thrown 20 feet away from the blast because of the explosion.  During this time, the snipists had run over to the tank and taken out the last trooper. They quickly ran over to Cosmic, who was lying on the ground.  He was bleeding all over.  The lead snipist quickly activated the portable commlink system. "Medic! Medic! We've got a man down!  We need immediate assistance!!  We've also taken control of the artillary squad!" Yelled the snipist.  Cosmic was on the ground, unconcious.  His clothes were torn.  The snipist tried to help him here by taking off the remnants of his shirt.  One snipist watched Cosmic, one snipist was on the lookout for more Rebels, and the two other snipists were looking for bacta, or any medkits... Approximately ten minutes later, a group of medics were running towards the fallen body of Captain Cosmic of the Vast Empire Army. They quickly applied bacta to his wounds. One medic looked at the other with a worried look. "We've got to get him to the medtent.  Many metal particles have punctured his skin. We've got to move him stat!!" Yelled the medic. Cosmic was placed on a Medspeeder and was quickly heading towards the FES medtent. Four FES troops had escorted the medics, and were now heading back with them.  The snipists were also given a ride back to the FES force.

OK Argon, I approve of some of your requests but not all of them...and here's why.  And this is for everyone really. Air cover is one thing the enemy has plenty of.  We can't go zipping around in executive shuttles all day long.  When the enemy came, they brought a lot of equipment.  Lotaith, being a primarily civilian planet, was pretty much overrun.  Barring a couple fleets of shuttles and airspeeders, what you guys brought down in your ships is about all we have. That said, we have a few air defense zones you can operate in.  Basically in the southwest where the VE militia and FES are and to the northeast where most of you are setting up shop.  Everything else is pretty much a free fire zone for the enemy.  Since they'll likely get shot down over our primary zones, I assume their pilots are bored and will hunt down anything not their own. So....that said, I like what Wraiths are doing travelling quickly in repulsorcraft.  They don't get high enough to be airborne targets and they are too fast for nearly all tanks and walkers.  Truthfully, I should have thought of that before I took a walk in the woods. This is not an attack on anyone in person or even much of a lecture.  I've talked with quite a few people about this on IRC from time to time.  Lotaith is basically us, the gear we have on us, and the ability to take things away from the enemy before we can really get to work. That means taking out artillery, assassinating leadership, giving the enemy a case of the runs...anything to reduce their ability to lord over the battlefield. So, Argon, here's the deal.  You can have two assault shuttles from Scythe and Dominion, three quick but lightly armed airspeeders, and a platoon of regulars outfitted however you want them.  If available, you can call on up to six TIE Droid fighters for air support.  These however will get chewed up in a dogfight should it get too heated.  What we have tons of are personal weapons are ground vehicles.  Use them well.  As for the assault shuttles, they are pretty well armed and very durable.  If you need more than this, pop me an email about the outline (and only an outline, this sounds interesting) of what you plan to do.

OOC : AHH Im sry i posted late again :S ---------------------- CAPTIAL STRUCTURE ---------------------- Matok was escorted quickly to an awaiting hoover craft. As the riot troops and his officers discussed the situation, Matok found the situation more delighting and less nerve raking. He fumbled with the datapad, trying to press keys with bandaged fingers. He had been badly burned from the assault on the plaza and his left arm seemed abit limp. He held the pain in, focusing on the task that had to be done. The regrouping of his forces. As the speeder past by the wreckage and dodged light fire from troops, it made it to the city limits, along a few hills until it was stopped by a security group. Matok looked up at the AT-ST, AT-PT and the hand full of stormtroopers at the checkpoint and smiled. He handed his identification and was followed by quick salutes from the men. The riot troops rushed the speeder past the checkpoint and to the command hub, a few prefab shelters, a food compressor and a barrack with a few light turrets and a piece of anti-aircraft altilery were all that was the base. To the left of the base, before the prefabed wall were a group of ATATs, atleast 4 dozen and a group of MTATs and 4 UH1s, most being refueled, battle scarred from air strikes and small burns on their armour. Suddenly a group of patrols came to the landed speeder. "Sir, welcome back to the camp," Matok gave a light smile then the officer continued. "This is all that we could salvage from the Recon." Matok was puzzled. "Recon Task Force? as in Mole!?!" A trooper nodded. Mole stumbled abit in his speach as he stood up. Then a green uniformed man approached the troops from behind. One steped away as the man came closer. "General More what a pleasant surprise!" said an overjoiced Matok as he hugged his friend. "I didnt expect you to be here." Mole smiled as he lead the General towards the prehab command center. "Legacy," said Mole quietly, "It all boils down to the same mission at the right timing." Their escort troops followed them inside and the massive blastdoors locked tight. Matok was back where he belonged. In combat.

Argon Viper and the regulars suited up, Argon in his massive Whiphid battle armor. They boarded the Assault shuttles, two squads to a shuttle. One of the camps was less than 50 kilometers from the front lines, and contained an entire battalion. They dropped swiftly, the assault shuttles pulling in and dropping them off within a minute while their heavy laser cannons strafed the base. The troops had been told exactly what to do, and the four heavy weapons were quickly set up. As return fire finally started to happen, the heavy weapons fire returned it, and it was suppressed. The platoon moved forward, taking ground swiftly as the enemy troops fought for a grip on the situation in the dead of night. Small groups were quickly isolated and eliminated, and the remaining soldiers were quickly surrounded. Ten minutes later, Argon figured they had about two companies of strength left, and they were being hammered from all sides by powerful squad support weaponry and pricked by the lesser blaster rifles. A white flag went up behind enemy lines, but Argon had no way to carry prisoners away from the battlefield. He aimed and shot away the white flag. The enemies must have understood, because their fighting suddenly became more desperate. They charged the well defended positions the VE regulars had set up in, and were massacred wholesale. Twenty minutes later, it was all over. The Vast Empire had lost eighteen men, two squads worth. But it was well worth the cost, they had just eliminated an entire battalion. The shuttles returned to pick them up, and Argon radioed in. "Fury, this is Argon,"he said, knowing it would be recorded and given to Fury,"thanks for granting the request, we just knocked out a battalion.  If you want to know the details, ask and I'll file a report.  Just be advised that they had comm access the entire time, so it probably won't work again." Argon turned off the comm and boarded the shuttle. They lifted off and headed back home...

Vast Empire and FES troops were moving into position below the dogfight above the city, aiming to put up an ak-ak umbrella and force the bombers away from the city itself. Stonefish was flying desperately trying to avoid getting shot down by the four fighters tailing him. He was hoping that the anti-aircraft fire would start soon, and that he could use the distraction to get away from his pursuers. The fire started sporadically, but eventually began to home in on Stonefish's pursuers. They decided to play a different game. One of them kicked in the after burners, and shot ahead of Stonefish, who was concentrating so much on the rear that he didn't notice until almost too late. He banked left, and the rebel fighter went with him. They were herding him out, and with one behind throwing vollies of laser fire, and one to either side, and one, he assumed, below him since it wasn't anywhere else, and he was feeling too pessimistic to think it had been shot down. They had him. He was going out over what used to be the suburbs of the city and out into enemy held territory. Stonefish thought rapidly. Then, he hit the afterburners and aimed the V-Wing straight up. The fighter behind him pulled his nose up and fired, and the swept-wing fighter rocked, the control stick slamming Stonefish's hand about as it tried to go a different direction, but he held it firm and pointed the craft at orbit. At about 20km altitude, a warning light flashed in the cockpit. The rebel fighters hadn't the punch to get to this alitiude, so it wasn't them. He checked the display, as he saw the horizon begin to creep back into his peripheral vision. The engines had stalled. Using brute force, he pulled the fighter around so he wasn't falling straight back down again, and one hand on the stick, he began to flip swtiches getting the engine ready for a restart. The altimeter rocketed down, and the engine wouldn't restart. The ground loomed ahead of him. At a thousand feet, Stonefish gave up on restarting the engines and started wrestling with the stick two-handed, trying to level off enough that he could attempt a controlled crash-landing. At five hundred, he had the angle, and started cranking the landing gear down. With the engine out, there was no power to the repulsorlift. At one hundred feet, Stonefish started praying. The grassy plains below whipped past, further out than any map he had memorised of the planet. Copses of trees passed in a flash as he cranked the airbrake open.  The plains below slowed in their rapid transition from ahead to behind, and Stonefish began to think that he would make it. He could now pick out bushes on the ground, and see how uneven a surface he had picked, but there was no chance to retract the landing gear now, he was going in. The rear of the fighter hit the ground first, and Stonefish hit the pin to fire the explosive bolts and release the parachute brake. A tree stump hit the port gear, and the V-Wing dropped to port. With the extra friction, it began spinning round and nothing Stonefish could do would stop it. The V-Wing flipped over, and began to tumble. Then everything went white for Stonefish, then black.

OOC: only time for another short post, i'm going to email the squad. none of them are posting atm...then again not many people are...this story has simply dragged on for too long     In an hour one unfortunate soldier stepped out of the trench and walked a few metres from the trench. Agent decided to have the pleasure of the shot.     "Don't kill him, aim for the stomach, give him a painful death" Raziel's tone made some of his squad look at him strangely but he merely smiled.     "The rest of you take aim, trust me. Agent...now"     Following his last words came a click and a thud. A bullet wistled the half mile to the trench. Raziel watched as the soldier, trousers around his ankles, fell to thr ground screaming in agony.     "Agent, that wasn't his stomach."     The sergeant merely looked his way and raised an eyebrow.     "Ready your weapons," raziel warned as he carried on watching.     A group of enemy soldiers obviously distressed rushed to aid their fallen commrad. Raziel actually laughed at them as they grabbed the fallen and heavily bleeding men and dragged him towards the safety of the trench.     Only when they weren't a metre from the trench did he give the order. The men all dropped dead or dying in a second, some if them, including the men with no pants on fell back into the trench.     A few minutes later a brave soldier tried to throw a dead body out of the trench, he got 3 bullets in his head for his troubles.     Raziel could picture the scene now, in the trench there would be a group od dead bodies, they may even have been able to clean them up. Near the trench were 2 men still dying, screaming in agony. Some of the rest of the     Raziel knw that this ploy really needed a good week or two to work properly, but a day would unsettle them enough.     After 10 hours of almost complete stillness the squad was beginning to get restless. Raziel knew they would have to move soon, none of them were trained snipers so couldn't stay in the same place for up to weeks on end. Raziel had never learned to snipe, but as an assassin he had learnt similar skills.     "Ok, Agent, dragoon. Carefully and quietly go and get the speeders, stay low. if they see us now we're in trouble. Everyone, pull back."     In minutes they were fully the Arrow's were fully primed and ready to go. Epic had quickly taken over the laser turret of the first speeder, whilst arkanian still had control of the seconds weapons systems.     "Dragoon keep your shuttle behind ours when i pull left, you pull right." Agent shouted out to Dragoon.     "Ok, you all ready? lets do this then"     The speeders started off, in a second they were racing down the noll wraiths had been hidden behind towards the trench.     The enemy, already weary of the day and not too sure of their position were not happy when they had a troop filled land-speeder heading their way.     Epic opened fire, the first shuttle spewing out heavy laser blasts and the odd concussion grenade. The trench was enough to protect the rebel's from the laser turret at least, but the odd concussion grenade got into the trnech and they were forced to keep their heads down.     When squad leaders finally got the rebels to stick their heads up and start firing Agent pulled the forst arrow left and the second came out from close behind it. Now facing two speeder, each now only a hundred metres away the rebels got back into cover as Raziel had hoped.     So far none of them had raziel any anti-mech weapons and raziel wanted it to stay that way. He finished off with the large silver object Agent had put together for him. It was roughly cubic, being about a foot in width. It had many wires protruding from it and a black front panel that raziel keyed something into.     The Arrow's fired a single last burst at the enemy trench then diverted all power to engines, the rest of the squad's carried on firing their rifles. As the Speeders jumped the trench Raziel perfectly timed dropping his bomb. As soon as it hit the ground it detonated.     An explosion turned the areas where they had crossed the trench into more of a crater and the force explosion channeled down the trench annihalating everything a hundred metres down the trench in both directions.     What was more interesting was the EM pulse that the explosion generated. Everything in a mile shut down and only the 400Kmph speed of the arrows kept them safe.     All the rocket launchers that were now trained on the fleeing land-speeders suddenly shut down and left the wraiths free to escape, even the enemies comms were shut down giving the wraiths even more time to escape.     Raziel smiled as they sped off towards the appointed ambush position many miles away from the battle scene. OOC: pls say some of my squad are still reading this

Clouds skidded by overhead, as though blown by some wind, though Stonefish felt none on his face. The grass lay nearly flat over, and he could see trees just out of the corner of his eye being blown and tossed around. Of the V-Wing there was no sign, and Stonefish could not feel any injuries on his body which seemed slightly odd given the way the fighter had landed. He lay on the grass of some vast plain as grey stormclouds passed in front of his eyes. Wind howled across the plain though he could feel none of it. Gathering his courage, he clambered to his feet and looked around. This wasn't Lotaith. This wasn't any planet he had ever been to that he remembered. Voices carried on the wind. Voices he knew, and voices he didn't. "Get down, Narm! Get down!" cried the ghostly voice of Master. Arbitrage spoke a whispered greeting to the general of the Planetary Operations Division. "We meet at last, Inceptor," said a voice he barely remembered. Memories remembered and forgotten. Ghostly figures in Imperial, Rebel and Gaussian crusader uniforms did battle across the field as he watched. He felt someone walk up behind him, and turned dropping into a combat stance. A mirror image, almost, if himself stared back wearing an Imperial uniform. Again, he felt a presence behind him. He turned to see himself in a Rebel pilot's uniform. He stepped back as more and more mirrors of himself stood up. Stormtrooper dress uniform, rebel pilot, imperial pilot, imperial general, admiral's whites, rough clothes, anything he could remember being. Finally, a small boy walked up to him and tugged at his hand. "So you're what we've become?" asked the boy. Stonefish looked down at him. He could have been at home on a hundred worlds, slightly frayed clothes in gray and blue. Some kind of device clipped to his belt, presumably a personal music player or something. "Who are you?" asked Stonefish. "I'm you, silly. I'm what you've forgotten." Stonefish looked up. The ghostly battle had faded along with all of the images of himself. All that remained was Stonefish and the boy. "You're me? Before Carida?" asked Stonefish. "I told you that. By the way, your name isn't Ramon." "It isn't?" "No, you got the Stonefish part right, though." "So what is my real name then?" The boy whispered something in Stonefish's ear, and his eyes widened. "That's my name, that is my name. I never would have guessed." The boy just laughed gleefully and ran around Stonefish. "What planet do I come from then?" "Not telling you any more, not till you fall on the floor. Then you'll remember everything, and I'll be you again." The boy ran around faster and faster, chanting the simple rhyme over and over. Stonefish tried to follow the boy as he ran around, but the boy soon became a blur. As Stonefish tried to follow him, he could almost see the boy running around him gleefully smiling, but he couldn't hear the rhyme. That had quickened up to a buzz in Stonefish's ears which got louder as the boy passed in front, and died off again. It almost sounded like a warning buzzer. Warning. The world went black again, and the pain kicked in. Stonefish groaned as he opened his eye. The other wouldn't open, something must have hit it in the crash. He scanned around the cockpit looking, and surprised he was still in the cockpit. He could see the fire warning light with accompanying buzzer flashing. He stretched out his hand painfully, and hit the switch which activated the fire suppression system. The warning died, and the world went black again.

Argon returned to some bad news, they had tracked Fish's V-wing through a pretty bad stall. The track wasn't complete, so they only had a general idea of where he might have crashed, but that was enough for Argon. He stopped just long enough to pick up a few weapons, explosives, and pieces of medical equipment before he was out the door. He checked out a transport, hoping they wouldn't look too closely at the reason. They didn't. It was an old atmospheric transport, with a top speed of 250 kph and all the maneuverability of a rock. But it had a bed in the back, and he would need that if Fish was wounded. He fired it up just as the deck officer noted the discrepancy on the transport request form. He saw the man running after him shouting at him to stop just as he punched up the drives, at least it had good accelleration. He checked the map and looked in the direction Fish was supposed to be in. Most of the area was already under the control of the VE AA batteries, but not that direction... He aimed his craft toward it, leveled off at about ten meters and punched the throttle back up to full. He made it about three quarters of the way before being accosted by the Rebel fighters. The first shots were off the mark, and must have come from long range, but they caught up quickly. He tried out a new tactic, he flew over their camps in an attempt to pursuade them not to fire. It worked, as long as he stayed over their camps, but he had a plan for that. At the end of the camps, there was a massive cave system, it seemed big enough to accomodate his vehicle, but not their fighters. He took it, and half an hour of intense flying later, he was out. Fish's estimated landing site was only a half a kilometer off, and the real one was marked by a plume of smoke. He landed as close as he could, and was out before the entire ship had shut down. For three kilometers, there was a trail indicating that Fish's landing had been a violent one. The ship was nearly totalled, barely recognizable as a V-wing, and seemed to have done acrobatics through the entire trip on the ground. He found Fish in the cockpit, and quickly carried him to the hovercraft. He set him down in the bed and hooked him up to the medical equipment. Then, he headed outside to create a perimeter. It was almost dark, but Fish was in no condition to be moved. They would have to wait a while...

Cosmic awoke and found himself in a semi-large tent.  A medtent, he guessed. He slowly got up, but was quickly pressed back down to the bed by a soldier in white clothes. "Please be still.  We still have several Bacta treatments to give to you before you are up and around again." Said the young man. "What happened?" Asked Cosmic, suddenly bewildered and had just a slight touch of memory loss, probably from the shock. "You were very close to being dead, that's what happened.  You were near some ammunitions crates just as a missile blew it up.  You were hurled about 20 feet away from the crates with many punctures in your skin from the metal.  So far the Bacta is being a lifesaver.  It's helping you with the pain." Cosmic nodded, now starting to remember what happened. "What about the four snipists I was with?" Asked Cosmic. THe doctor smiled. "They're safe, thanks to you.  You managed to get them far enough away from the blast to protect them.  They're fine and on active duty." Cosmic nodded, relieved.  "Well, isn't this a blowoff.  First battle with the FES and I nearly blow my head off." Said Cosmic, chuckling a bit. The doctor smiled again as he applied some more bacta onto Cosmic's legs and stomach. ============ Three Days Later ============ Cosmic walked out from the Medtent, fully healed now.  He thanked the doctor who had aided him, and he immediately went to the Command Tent. Cosmic spotted the officer in charge and asked where General Matok was.  He said that the General was in battle at the moment. Cosmic nodded and walked out of the tent and towards the heavy artillary. Cosmic met up with an engineer and nodded. "Are you Captain Cosmic?" Asked the engineer. Cosmic nodded, while looking at some familiar heavy artillary. "Thanks to you, these babies are in our hands now.  Pretty good firepower.  However, you did have to shed some blood for them, eh?" Cosmic nodded again. "You have to do that with everything."  Replied Cosmic. The engineer chuckled. Cosmic looked at the heavy artillary once again then walked back to the command tent.

Slowly, as though swimming up from deep water, Stonefish returned to consciousness. He felt the straps across him as he awoke, and the discomfort of medical monitors stuck to his arm. He felt a bed underneath him, and cracked an eye to look around and saw the shuttle interior. He saw the large form of Argon Viper enter through the hatch. "You're awake," he said, "good. I was hoping you weren't dead." Stonefish mumbled something. "Can you stand?" asked Viper. A visible effort was made to get up, and after a minute or so, Stonefish was sitting on the side of the medical trolley. He got to his feet and wobbled around a little, finding his balance. Leaning up against the wall, he stood rubbing his eyes. "Yes," he said, "But I don't think I'll be running any marathons for a while." "Right, well strap in then, we're gonna have a rough ride getting out of here." "Not another one," groaned Stonefish, walking over to the cockpit, he sat down in the copilot's chair, while Viper squeezed into the pilot's. He fired up the engines and spun the shuttle around and shot off along the ground and back toward the cave system. OOC:  And I was just starting to have fun with it.  You guys sure are spoil sports about this.  Actually I see your point as there are only four or five people still posting on this.  Granted, IOC was a lot of more active, but you new guys are tired of hearing about that I suppose. Another four days in the forests had resulted in two more camp strikes and a raid on a fueling convoy towards the front lines.  Sellars had led them on a strike on a hospital complex, which was both unsettling and gruesome.  Fury decided to keep track of this individual once the war was over.  He had passed that crucial plateau that made man more killer than soldier.  For now, he was glad they were both working for the same goal; but any man who could shoot wounded, bed-ridden soldiers in the face with a flechette pistol was not one who would function well in normal society. Eventually, they were a victim of their own success, which they found as an attempted raid on a supply convoy became a parade of enemy repulsorcraft.  Luckily, the team stayed in a patch of tall grass and aborted the raid.  Fury passed along the regroup order and they walked back to the initial entry point.  While his team had taken no losses, only 13 troopers met up with them, either parts of teams that were attacked, in some cases no members at all but news of their demise.  Of the platoon that had come with him, a total of 42 successful raids, 14 aborts, multiple attacks, and only two unbattered teams.  A total of two squads capable of making it back to the line with them, a few wounded being tended to by partisan mended, essentially out of the fight.  The troops took the day to rest up, eat warm food and get the latest intel from the lines.  With the enemy now defending it's flanks and rear more intently, probing raids from the VE/FES lines had been successful in routing and destroying enemy detachments.  News from the central zone showed disorganized from the Dread Knights efforts.  The majority of WildCard Platoon was moving to attack the regiments holding them back. The best news, however, came from the small regional comnets as small transmitters hidden in barns and office buildings relayed news from across the planet.  In the past few weeks, most of the member stations of Patriot Net had fallen from the airwaves after reporting the horror of conquest and occupation, often broadcasting their own discovery and destruction.  Now, the remaining "stations" were reporting the enemy leaving their villages, heading towards the battle lines. Granted this was a mixed bag.  More troops to an already numerically superior enemy wasn't pleasant, but the same enemy would have to find new ways to feed itself as most of the outlying units were only used for pillaging supplies.  The enemy was going to have to move fast against the Vast Empire if they were to conquer the hungry that a long campaign would inflict on them. In short, he had to get back behind the lines, work on both stronger defenses and an effective strike or two at the enemy.   ----------------------- XO/LTC Fury/VEA/TADATH/VE [PoC][SotE:HC][SotE:VEA][IOC] Company Commander Shopkeeper - Imperial Center

OOC:  If I mess this up, just tell me, and I'll edit anything I need to.  ------------------------ Dragoon was laying against the cold ground as the raid poured down with his sniper rifle trained on one of the trenches.  According to the orders the Wraiths had, now that they had crossed the lines, they were to perform little raiding runs and things of the like.  Well, as per usual, Raz sent Kip and Dragoon together to kill a Colonel that was the head of one of the Batallions.  Perfect job for Dragoon.  He liked killing people. Kip was laying maybe twenty yards for him.  They were set up about a half a click from the barracks, but the colonel seemed rather loathe to show his face.  Dragoon couldn't blame him.  It's been cold and wet for about 14 hours now, which is how long Kip and he had been out here. Kip radioed him, "Did you see that girl the other day?  I mean, I hate the rebels, but they do have some pretty women with them." Dragoon chuckled a bit.  "Yeah, I saw her...I think she was a man." "What?!" Kip whispered fiercely into the comlink.  "You're not serious, are you?" "I might be," he replied.  "Those Rebels do some freaky experiments.  Tell ya what, if we capture her, I'll let you get her holonet tranceiver code." "Sure thing, bud."  Things were silent for a while after that.  A few mid-level officers walked in an out, but no one worth shooting. Dragoon put on a breathing mask so his breath wouldn't show, and instructed Kiption to do the same.  It was getting late, and very cold.  Grabbing his night vision goggles, he told Kip to get a few hours of shut eye.  Then, he'd get some of his own.  The activity of the prefab barracks was bustling.  They seemed to be preparing for a major offensive of some sort.  Well, maybe a well placed shot would end that, or at least delay it.  Time was against the Vast Empire right now, so any that could be given to them would only help.

Demi Wraith gave DD and Raiders their orders, sending most to secure the outposts near the enemy lines. Each member was assigned to a walker. In Raiders, Otto and Snake were both in ESPO 101’s, Shadow was given an AT-ST and the choice of who to take with him, he chose Nomar. Jedi and Cloud were also assigned an AT-ST. Grizzley and D-13 were given AT-PTs. Two pairs were sent to each of the eight out posts, Jedi, Cloud, Snake, and Otto were sent to the two outposts closest to the enemy, about 100 km distance between the two. It was only 150 km to the outpost, but with in a few km, the terrain became very rocky, and some what hard to navigate in. But they managed, Jedi and Otto worked out the safest way through, using the Force. Otto didn’t always like using the Force as a tool, but when he had to he did. He believed that the Force was not a tool for him to use, that he was a tool for the Force to use, in any manner necessary, the Dark Side just happened to be the side that the Force chose to use him for. The long and dangerous trek wore out a few of the walker pilots, but that’s why they were paired, so that the other could take over if necessary. The pilots of the one manned walkers, such as Otto and Snake, were given one man walkers for the terrain, because they were known to be able to handle long periods of labor. Which they could.     An hour or so later, they split up to each reach their single outposts. About 20 minutes later Otto and Snake reached the farthest outpost, and to their dismay, there were a small amount of Rebel forces, staked out just around the compound of the outpost. Snake commed Demi Wraith, telling him the bad news. Fortunatly, this was the only out post, that had been reached yet, that had Rebel troops.     “That’s good to hear sir.” spoke up Otto, who was listening in on Snake and DW’s comm conversation, as he should.   “Otto, is that you?” asked DW “Yessir” he replied     “Didn’t realize that you were tapped in,” said DW “that’s good to know.” “Sir, who are the one group that haven’t called in yet?” asked Snake     “That would be, lemme check my pad....” muffled Demi  “Here it is, Nomar and Shadow haven’t checked in yet, but this is understandable, they were sent to the outpost furthest from the dropsite, but only third closest to the enemy.”   “Hmmm, I hope they check in soon.” said Otto, obviously worried aout his friend Shadow. He and Shadow had become good friends, Otto was really the only member of Raiders that Shadow could talk to, for he was a very self kept person. From the time that Otto was a mear corporal, he had tryed to befriend Shadow, it was hard to understand why, but he did any ways. He and Shadow had been through alot together, the most memberable was being overrun by Rebel forces on the planet they had just flown from, ironic actually, jumping from the frying pan, into the fire. The Rebel forces on Lotaith seemed to have tripled the amount on Tadath. Otto couldn’t understand why either, this was the Dark Jedi home world, how could this have happened. He was semi assured of victory by the fact that the VEs long time ally, FES was fighting along side them, making the attack from both sides, overwhelming the forces so that they couldn’t send all their forces to one side, with out being attacked from behind.       “Snake, I’m sending Jedi and Cloud to assist you,” said Demi Wraith after he had taken a few minutes to think of a stradegy against this surprising threat “once we hear from Shadow and Nomar, they will report to your position, try and stay out of site of the Rebels”         Then, as if cued by bad luck, a blaster bolt flew from the camp, striking the ground just infront of Snakes ESPO.   “Looks like Jedi and Nomar might want to hurry up alittle bit DW,” said Snake “we’ve been seen.”
