EDIT: Wait..yeah, now i'm beginning to wonder why there arehornets as well. Eve, would you please stop bringing in other things? There are Y-wings for a reason...
This story isn't designed to be some huge space conflict, but just a minor skirmish to keep Nazgul as a group from getting bored during some down-time.
The fact that from the looks of things you killed off most of the NPCs wasn't to great either.
I'm going to kindly ask you to edit your post, as the need for bringing in hornets isn't there. Although it may look like we're just kinda taking the story with a 'seat of the pants approach', it really does have a storyline that i'm trying to follow. Sadly, that's surprisingly difficult when having to deal with curveball after curveball.

Alright....bad news and good news, which do you guys prefer first?
Guess I'll go with the bad news...
From things building up in the past during RL for me, I've decided that I don't have as much time, or willpower to run things or be as excited as I used to for the VE.
I mean yeah, back when I was 12, things were all good to go and this place was where I spent every blink of my extra time. Gaming, Writing, RPGing.
I really can't say anything else except for the fact that I'm leaving Nazgul Squadron permanently. I'm taking this resignation for various reasons, which I am not at liberty to discuss, but its just all about problems I'm having in my adolescense.
Seriously guys, towards everyone in the VE, I've had a great time commanding and writing, but right now isn't the time for me to be here, and I don't want to hold you guys up from using what amazing imaginations you have. I've had a great time, and I hope that I'll be able to come back to a Squadron one day and have that eagerness that I still search for.
For the good news(or Kinda good news)....I'm staying with the VE, because there is some partial attachment there, and I'm sure a lot of you know that. I'm not sure exactly what I'll be doing around here, but I'll be involved in some way, don't worry about that.

Now for the other section of all of this. I'm excited to see the amount of activity we're having, and I'm even more excited to see that everybody managed to send in a report (everyone who's been active lately.)
Just a few notes:
-Evil, don't forgt to send reports to me as well as Tomas. I'm not to worried about it this weekend, so no worries, but just for future reference.
-We've been fairly active this week, and I'm glad for that, but I wonder if we can maybe even bump it up a notch for this next week? The story is out of the boring stuff and into some exciting parts, so we can start to have some exciting posts. Feel free to leave your post as a cliffhanger and let someone else pick up on it. We've found that this can make for some exciting stories. If you end your post during a climatic part, it makes people want to post and finish it off.

I'd like to point out that we've killed off quite a few y-wings already, and i had been looking at using this story as a way to lessen the amount of kills that people get per post.
So i'm thinking maybe we need to cut back on that a little bit, as well as remembering that we are dealing with aces/super aces who arn't going to nessicarily be easy to take out. -----------------------

Maybe they shouldn't be taken out at all? In WW2, 5 kills earned you the rank of 'Ace.' I think we can't really adhere to that, but we should control ourselves a bit. If you're going up against an ace squadron, perhaps you should employ other means to destroy them. -----------------------

Shaz - the goal is to kill maybe 6 of 15 before they realize that they'll suffer more losses then they are willing to allow and they decide to flee.
Raigen - I think it was your latest post (unless you've posted since) and you killed two..one with cannon fire and one by flying him into his own mines. -----------------------

That old interceptor was icky. Got myself a new one, thanks to Cosmic.
Anyways, I'm glad to see activity on the story. I think I'll get a post in today in an attempt to control the out-of-controlness that's happening. A story that was supposed to be a dogfight in asteroids has turned into a full blown ship-to-ship confrontation.
My upcoming post may just bring an end to this battle, seeing as I didn't expect it to get quite as large as it is. I want everyone to have fun and be creative and enjoy their writing, but I've also got to have a little control over the chaos that is Nazgul Squadron.

An asteroid is knocked loose by a combination of a mine and a missile and runs into one of the ships, causing the ship to malfunction and crash into the field. Taking out about three azures and leaving us to deal with the y's ourselvs. -----------------------

Well, Everyone has been asking me if I have gotten around to selecting an XO yet. I'd been holding off not only due to the slight inactivity of experianced members, but also due to the abundance of inexperianced members. (no offence all)
Anyways, It would seem that my new XO has managed to free up a bit of time in her private life and allowed herself to put a little time back into the VE.
I'd like everyone to give a warm welcome to Jen Knight/Aletheia, Nazgul's new/old XO  .
