Where ya been Raigen? Ah well, doesn't matter.
OK. The plan for the next week is going to revolve around a competition Jaden and I came up with. Your goal will be to do as much VE related stuff as you can...Posting, reports, IRC, wiki, whatever you can find to do.
The contest will officialy start tonight (Friday) at Midnight, so feel free to report saturday with all the activities you've done during that day. Posts already made will still count towards the total score, so don't worry about that.
Scoring:
Reports - +1 point
Posts (Story)- +2 points
IRC - +0.5 point per day
Wiki update - +1 point (once per week)
ORW3 Gaming - +0.1 point per game (Must have a screenshot of the end screen for proof)
Meeting Attendance - +2 points
Missed report (anything later then Sunday is counted as 'missed') - -2 points, plus what was in your report will only be counted to your total for 50% of the actual value. Assuming you don't have a valid reason of course (compute ban, vacation, other type of leave)
Of course, with any good contest there eneds to be a reward. This will consist of:
3rd: 50k ICs
2nd: 100k ICs and a Promotion
1st: 150k ICs, a promotion, and a Merit Cross 2nd Class Medal.
So look at it this way, you don't have to participate in this...It's totaly optional. But you've also got nothing to lose and a decent amount of things you could gain. If enough activity is shown, I might even have to suggest or offer more rewards to the people involved.
And to start this contest/competition off, we need a name for it. I'll offer a 15k IC reward to whoever comes up with the name I end up using...This will count towards your 'score' for the competition, so go aead and enter as many names as you'd like to.
The competition will be over at the end of march or the end of the story, whichever comes first.

I forgot to mention in the other post that neither me nor Jaden will be eligable to win this competition. it will be amoung everyone else (unless we have less then three participants)

I wouldn't see a problem with going into the naming part of the contest and doing things like ORW3, attending the meetings- all that good stuff. Writing on the story may not make total sense: definitely talk to Art and Jaden.
And when he say's wiki- I presume that means any of the possible wiki activities- updating your profile, completing a story brief for the Naval missions or possibly doing some work on your Squadron Wiki Page. -----------------------

Well, after a bit of thought, I've decided to remove the ORW3 fromt he competition, or severly lower it's points. This is to help keep things fair, as I know that not everyone can play these games/owns them/has good enough internet.
I'll make up my mind when i can think straight tomorrow.
This by no means means for you to quit participating in the ORW...I've heard that there may be incentives offered for it as well. -----------------------

They will be Pirate Preybirds, and they will engage us. There will be approximatly 12 of them (feel free to go a bit higher, but no lower than 12) and I don't want to see more than 1 fighter killed off per post.
I figure that something alot of us needs to work on is the fact that our pilots are all unbelievably skilled and can eliminate a squadron within a very very short time, each pilot getting 2 or 3 kills.
So we're gunna work on that. Concentrate more on you're manuevers rather than the grusome deaths you can cause the enemy. -----------------------

I'd like to let you folks know that you've received a new member, callsign Evil_Clown (she didn't seem to mind when I called her Eve, though more generous names could probably be fashioned), and I tell ya she's pretty decent. You'll note on the roster I put her in as Nazgul 12, switching one of the NPCs into Flight 1: meaning only three positions are currently unfilled by members. Furthermore, I removed Scaridian Mork and placed him in reserves, at least until we can get a good idea of whether or not he'll be back and returning to a reasonable level of activity. Jaden has access to the comnet and can move members at his discretion.
In the meantime, welcome Eve and update her on the story- I'm not sure if she'll be up to reading all of it, so anyone who can create a good synopsis? Maybe Tomas can take care of that though. Guess what folks- you have three flight leads that will be reporting this week along with a whole lot of members... Keep rockin'. -----------------------

Good to see you guys are working hard.
Another update in my RL life, work is now running smoothly, so I should be able to be on more. I'm working 4 nights a week, which leaves me like....3 to be on, so I should be here to help out with things.
