Got my next post up.  I'm going after one of the Imperial Remnant Lancer frigates, though it will be another post or two before I actually destroy it.  Also, I have thrown in some references to the rest of taskforce Aurek, such as the Monarch and Nightshrike squadron, just to give the post some sense of continuity.  Hope thats okay!

Great work so far, everyone. I'd like to see some more coordination and communication here in the discussion, though. We did a great job of that pre-mission, but haven't kept it up.

So, everyone please take a few moments to get a rough idea about your next couple of posts and choose an objective for yourself. Unit leaders should choose and post a specific objective for their unit (i.e. ______ Squadron is attacking/destroying enemy ship/squadron ______.). This doesn't need to be long term, but choose the next major thing you want to accomplish, then aim your next several posts at getting to that goal. That way you're doing more than just killing a fighter in each post without a sense of where you are and what impact you're having in the larger scheme of things.

If you need help figuring out what your objective should be, post here saying so. I or another officer will be very happy to assist and to give suggestions.

Hi, Fishhead!  I'm terribly sorry to have left you guessing... I'm not accustomed to having PCs aboard my little ship. 

I have a post in the works now; should be up ASAP (possibly as late as tomorrow around noon, if I can't put the finishing touches on before then).  That should make things more explicit, but even with what I've posted so far, I hope it's clear that Trykon appears to be working closely with the VENI operative working at the Comm position on the Defiance's bridge.  He's working so closely, in fact, that he seems to almost be following the Lieutenant's orders more than his own patterns or common sense.  You have no more information, in-story, than those observations, so feel free to speculate/judge him.  In the coming minutes of the battle, I imagine the Defiance's ignoble retreat will raise quite a few eyebrows - it doesn't make much sense, and looks very unimpressive, for us to run before battle is really fully joined, tailed by little skiprays.  OOC, I can tell you I'm working with Grey and VENI to accommodate a plot arc they wanted to work into this story, so my character has some secret orders he's following.  Stay tuned for my next post, and hopefully it'll give you more to work off of.

NS short term goal - kill some bombers and stay alive when dealing with their escorts. Long term goal is filled with awesomeness and will be revealed at a later time.

For the record a single Carrack can likely blow a Warden up in a single salvo most probably. A couple of bombers could do the same in a few more attacks...

I know. You also said chase and not destroy so there'd really be no problem with just doing that. I only mentioned the above in light of such actions being fairly pointless in the end - you can't harm them enough to really hurt, they however can blow you up as soon as you start annoying them. Lose-lose scenario right there. It would make sense I suppose if you really wanted to do crazy stuff though...

@Amacuse: Do choose an objective that's reasonable and tactically viable. Craziness is fun every so often, but it shouldn't be the rule. From an OOC standpoint, Drac can't afford Amacuse doing that either. Coordinating the battle's chaotic enough for him already without rogue SCAPs pulling stunts.
