Why is Fleet School closed, Echelon?

So, Maroy, your thing actually looks great! I'll officially make you a TO as soon as I have Roster Access. Welcome aboard!

We know the Roster is a mess.  It'll be cleaned up good and proper at the end of this first Act of Counterpunch.  Try not to worry about it too much.

Friendly heads-up: there's a new recruit in the Academy, and a couple who need to be goaded into posting, or else removed from training.

Now you will witness the firepower of this fully armed and operational Naval Academy!

On a more serious note, I'm touched by the confidence the CNT has placed in me, and I won't let you guys down. It's an honour to be part of the Naval Academy, and an even greater honour to be given this responsibility.

Watch this space, people, I've got some exciting ideas that I'll be bringing to the fore shortly!

As XNT I hereby decree that everyone is to keep referring to me as a consultant if VENA affiliation is absolutely required in your posts. Other than that I suppose I'll follow my own consultation and hire someone to clean the place up...

BEHOLD, a gift from the former XNT!

If you check the Certifications wiki pages, you will notice that every single tier and cert now has a ribbon just for it. Long neglected ones such as Engineering now have a ribbon, and ones badly in need of an update have gotten one.

That's 18 ribbons total, people. Try and earn 'em all!

Greetings minions!

It is I, your beloved CNT, that come to you now with the following major announcement...

1. First I'd like to do a simple check to see who's still around and in what capacity. If you're part of VENA as a trainer, consultant or whatever other function then post here by the end of next week. Failure to do so will remove you from whatever position you may currently be holding.

2. If you're not part of VENA now, but either were in the past or simply want to join and help out, then again feel free to submit your intention in this very thread. You get a chance to become a trainer and help form others upon joining... as well as using that experience to later form deeper bonds with them. You can try to be a friendly selfless mentor or on the contrary a badass strict instructor or anything in between - the choice is yours!

3. Under the leadership of former CNT Hades and in some cases even before that, VENA began a list of programs that are currently in various degrees of completion. My intention is to follow up on as many of them as possible and help come up with a few useful and potentially revolutionary reforms for both this sub branch but also the entire division where applicable. In short - big changes are a'coming! So stay tuned for those...

4. The former CNT already was thoughtful enough to start a VENA suggestion box - a different thread that you'll find stickied if you just hit the back button. If you have any ideas that may improve VENA or VEN then post them there going in as much details as you possibly can. This is your shot to make a real contribution to the club and I should point out that any and all such contributions will be considered over time, especially when you're ready to make that big step from enlisted crewman or pilot to fully fledged Naval officer.

5. In case you don't already know, a TO's job currently consists of guiding and instructing new members as well as grading certs and skills for existing members. A few more rights and responsibilities may be assigned to the role in the immediate future. Just keep in mind that with great power comes great responsibility - I've totally not hijacked that quote to fit my own agenda here

6. For the time being the position of XNT will remain vacant. At least until I figure out who's most worthy of stepping up and grabbing it. I absolutely and positively will not in any way be influenced by any amount of booze you will deem fit to send my way as tokens of your appreciation and admiration...

7. So long as I'll hold this position, the CNT IC will remain an anonymous individual. I may or may not in time come up with a fitting NPC to take over the role, seeing how this isn't exactly a pressing concern given all the other projects piling around this place. Suffice to say that until that situation changes, it would be safer and generally easier to just avoid referring to the CNT in story. If you absolutely must then go ahead and use the general "Chief of Naval Training" title or something along those lines.

8. More items may be added in time but for the time being at least the above seven should suffice.

Alright, now that you've finished reading through all that go ahead and return to whatever it was you were doing or were about to start doing and remember to have a fun and productive day whilst part of VEN & VENA!
