"All right, RAIDERS gather 'round" Rizzit called, letting the Regulars maintain the perimeter. The RAIDERS gathered and Rizzit began "Alright, we cant get the regulars in here until the turbo laser batteries are down, but we also need to hold this docking bay, so this is what we're gonna do. . ."  and Rizzit explained his ingenious plan in great detail.

Sniping101, FlyingKnight, JR and two regulars marched down the hall headed for the Turbo laser generators. They met minimal resistance, it seemed the station didn't have much of a garrison, and what it did have was just blaster fodder for people like the RAIDERS trio here.

"Give me a bearing on that thing again" Snipes asked Fly

"Its about 3 meters northwest" Flying said pointing down the hall and too their right.

Snipes signaled the five to move on towards it, using a leap frog style tactic to get around the corner, Snipes expected to see a door, but there wasn't a door of another 6 or so meters.

"What's our bearing?" Snipes asked exasperatedly.

"We should be right on top of it"Flying said what ever expression he had was concealed behind his bone white helmet.

"Alright, back up, we've done this before" Snipes motioned for the others to move back.

Once they had done so he removed the cutting torch from his belt and flipped it on, his built in goggles automatically adjusting to the right shade. The started the cut at about the middle of the hallway and widened it out to about the same size as the hall, about 1.5 meters, he then extended the hole down about 2 meters.

"You," Snipes pointed to the regulars before the finishing the cuts at all four corners "Stay here, defend our hole" they simply nodded and took up defensive positions on either side of the hole.

Snipes removed a grenade and duct taped it to the top of the square he was about to cut out. Then as he made the final three cuts and the square bent down on the one corner Snipes simultaneously pulled the grenade pin and cut the metal. Snipes dodged away, the blaster bolts had started coming threw as soon as the metal bent down, but after a few seconds and an explosion that rocked the corridor they stopped completely.

Snipes jumped down first, E-11 drawn, just to land on the floor completely untouched, without even the suggestion of blaster fire, he surveyed the room, and all he saw was what had been about 3 rebels, Snipes wasn't sure if there had been more or less, they where in too many pieces to tell for sure.

"It's safe, you can come down now" Snipes said into his comlink, razzing his fellow squadies a little.

Twin thuds behind him said the two had landed safely.

"Fly you think this is gonna work?" Snipes asked as FlyingKnight moved over to a control panel that had been away from the explosion, Snipes improvised shaping was to blame.

"Probably, depends on the encryption they have here, the projectors, it depends on a lot" Flying said hooking up his datapad to the control board.

Snipes just grumbled and walked over to the door, he locked it using the all too tested, tried and true method of blasting the lock.

Several minutes passed, most of it consisted of Snipes and JR sitting around waiting for FlyingKnight to finish slicing the terminal. The next few minutes where FK getting the terminal set up for their use.

"Show time!" Flying told the two, stepping up and setting his data pad down.

Snipes and JR ran over next to Fly and the three spent several minutes running in place, shooting at the wall and standing at guard, Snipes just hoped it worked. But the time finished, taking only about 5 more minutes total.

"All right, you sure it'll double our image?"Snipes asked skeptically.

"Ya, I'm sure, just give me a sec. . .Ah done, let's get outa here" Flying said

Snipes motioned to JR and they took off down the hall, after several seconds they met up with six more stormtroopers who appeared to be just standing around, that changed quickly though as they swung around and began filling the closest wall with blaster bolts.

" All right it worked" Snipes admitted to the smirk Flying was hiding behind his ever-frowning helmet. "Now let's take down those generators."

The troops marched down the hall, periodically stopping when a stupid rebel came to close, and only long enough to fill him with blaster holes. The twists, turns, ups and downs where innumerable, but finally they got to the same floor as the turbo laser generators. They began getting close, within 10 meters, when a squad of rebel solders came around the corner blasters blazing, Snipes took a bolt in the leg before he got behind a small support for cover, he didn't see how the others faired. He turned quickly out and bulls eyed a rebel, but that was all he could get off before the blots targeted his way, a thermal detonator took care of most of them, but just as Snipes was moving from the support he heard the marching of another squad. This was going to be an interesting encounter; the RAIDERs had training and armor, the rebels? A snowballs Chance in hell.

"All teams are in sir."

Fury began to breathe regularly again.  The plumes of vented atmosphere on each defense station could have signaled a successful entry or a squad being crushed against a shield. Sure, some of the landings were off target, but not enough to hamper the mission.

Once one of the platforms could be captured, it could turn its guns against its neighboring platforms.  With still hostile Golans between them, the three - if taken intact - could rend the defensive perimeter of Mooja into so much debris.

"Captain, move us in closer and at a position that best defends the Merciless.  Order the 411th Engineering Battalion ready to go in with their fighting escort.  Alert Colonel Timms that the 508th will be tasked to reinforce our stormtroopers at the earliest convenience.  I want those platforms taken mostly intact. This will be our most forward position and anything we can take from the New Republic is something we don't have to drag in from Tadath or Abrae."

The captain grimaced, before responding.  "As ordered General." Fury really should have taken an add out on SithBeast.com for a new captain.  This one was obvious unhappy in his position.

(OOC. sorry its so short, its my first story post )

Kami rolled over, her head exploding in white-hot pain.
While she had managed to avoid the impact of the grenade, she'd also managed to put a reasonable sized dent in her head when she'd hit the table she was attempting to shelter behind.

Gritting her teeth, Kami forced herself to her knees and threw herself the rest of the way behind the table, blaster bolts pinging around her. Bringing her now tarnished blaster rifle up to her shoulder Kami risked a glance over the top of her table and swore as another blaster shot whistled past her head.

This was soooo not good.....

Argon lowered his flamethrower.  From the sound of what Kuroishi was saying, he was likely to try another frontal assault like the type that he was now infamous for.  That meant that he would definitely need some serious cover fire, charging down a hallway was a bit different from charging through underbrush to close with the enemy.

Slipping off down a side passage, Argon made his way around, sticking to areas where the lights were out, or ducking from room to room.  Luckily, areas that weren't directly under fire were lightly crewed due to the combat situation, and the patrols didn't seem to be too worried, this far away from the main force of the Wraiths.

It took five minutes before he could see the enemy flank, they were still exchanging fire with the Wraiths, and there were now considerably more of them.  Argon was approaching from a side passage, perpendicular to the one where the Wraiths were.  Ducking into a nearby room, he grabbed everything that would move with the amount of force he applied to it, and started piling them in the hallway.  Very soon, he had a neat little fire shield up, that should protect him long enough to get things done.

Taking out his two pistols, Argon let out a massive Whiphid battlecry, shaking the walls and making the very air itself feel as if it were alive and beating itself against anything it could find.  If Kuroishi heard that, he would know what it meant.  Argon opened fire.

He didn't pause to actually take aim, but picked general directions and poured fire into them.  He was far more worried about the return fire, he needed to know when to be fully behind the shield and when it was safe to keep going.  Then a dark shape entered from the side of the hallway and Argon ducked behind his shield.  Now that Kuroishi was in the fight, there was no way he could keep up his spray of fire.  He checked the power packs on his pistols, both were down to less than five shots.  Quickly replacing them with full packs, Argon drew his Rykk blades.  He had bought them about a year ago at the Imperial Center Store, and had never regretted it, these blades made perfect weapons for anything he'd had to do so far.

Easily leaping over his barricade, Argon charged into the fight...

(OOC: great first post Kami...that was perfect)

Afyon dove away from the grenade but the force of the explosion threw him sideways against one of the walls.  Afyon felt a searing pain in his left shoulder momentarily from the impact.  He smung his rifle up and began firing at a cluster of enemy forces that he could barely see through the thick smoke.  It looked as though the soldiers had thrown a pair of smoke grenades as well in order to create further confusion.

Afyon unclipped one of his grenades and lobbed it over a row of computers towards wear the squad had originally seen the soldiers ambush them from.  As he lobbed it, shots raced by him from all directions, the squad seemed to be completely surrounded.  "God dammit, serves me right for not following proper tactics."  Afyon muttered as he ejected the cartridge from his rifle and slammed a fresh one in.

For a moment, Afyon held his position, behind a small cluster of computers on the left side of the room.  From here, he could spot two of his troopers on the other side of the room.  Both of their positions were taking a pounding.  Afyon could also see another imperial trooper lying down behind a table about fifty meters to his right.  He looked around the right hand side of the cluster and was rewarded with a burst of fire narrowly missing his head.  Afyon knew their only hope was to group up and punch a hole into the enemy resistence.  He unclipped the second of his three concussion grenades and gave it a short lob on the right hand side of the cluster.  He got into a crouching position, gun tightly in his hands as he waited the agonising seconds for the grenade to fly through the air, land and explode.  The explosion rocked the computers he was behind and the second he heard it, he jump on his feet and ran across to the trooper, strafing the room as ran.  When he was within ten meters, he dove and slid into the trooper.  Across the room, Afyon could hear the painful screams of several soldiers whom he and others had injured.

Afyon rested the barrel of his rifle on the top of the table and began to fire it like a machine gun for a minute.  Through the clearing smoke he saw two more soldiers fall and heard screams from a couple others.  Once the cartridge was empty, Afyon looked down at the trooper who hadn't moved since he arrived.  Afyon could see that it was Kami who was lying there, her helmet appeared scorched and dented, mostly likely from a piece of shrapnel or part of one of the computers which had been destroyed in the initial ambush.  Afyon took off his helmet, coughing a couple of times as he inhaled the smoke.  He wiped his hand across his forehead to stop the sweat, which was pouring off of his head, from getting in his eyes.  He slapped another cartridge into his rifle before further examining what kind of injury Kami had taken.  Afyon took another look over the top of the table, he saw that Rema had managed to establish a position with Kain and Niko.  The three of them were beginning to be a direct threat to the ambush.  The room had been completely destroyed from the grenades and thousands of shots fired and he could see at least twenty enemy soldiers lying dead in the middle.  That being said, there must have been at least another fifty in fighting condition in the one corridor he could see from his position.  Afyon ducked as the firing began again in his direction.  After counting three, Afyon looked back over again and gunned down three soldiers before taking cover.  This was shaping up to be a long battle.

(OOC: Sorry to cut it short, had to go)

Kuroishi for once was lacking inspiration for a prfound religous statement before releasing the entrails of a rather unfortunate soldier.

A quick spray of fire from his rifle and a few swings with his vibro katana and the path was clear for Stonefish and Argon to join him in the fire control center but that would only last a moment.

Right on que Argon and Fish were in the control room with him.

"Next stage is to at least take the guns off line if not make them do our bidding.  Fish you and Argon take care of that I'll hold here and make sure we can get back out."  Kuroishi ordered.

As Kuroishi had predicted the actual defenders in the control center appeared light but now it seemed the entire security force of the station was now moving in on thier position.

"You two better hurry we're not going to be able hold them here long."  Kuroishi said as he started trading fire with the security forces using the doorway for cover.

Kuroishi knew that without reinforcements nothing they could do would amount to a whole lot.  Then an idea hit him and he knew just the person to call to pull it off.

"Kuroishi to Daishi I need a strafing run across the upper starboard side of the Golan I am transmiting from, think you can handle that?"  Kuroishi commed.

"Give me a moment, I got a couple A-Wings that think they are allowed to shoot at me."  Daishi answered back.

A few moments later and the station's lights flickered and power conduits exploded.  Daishi had done the job.  The damage would at least slow down the security forces as they would not be able to use the lift system.

"Damn it these things are inacurate" TK muttered as fired a couple more round towards the enemies' direction."Gunny, I don't think we can hold on like this" TK informed Afyon.
"No, we're outnumbering them 100 to 1" Afyon sarcastically replied as he fired off some more shots.

The enemy started to come in larger numbers and taking position in the opposite corridor. Firing rounds in an organised pattern.

"Crap, these people are a lot more organised then that search team we ambushed!" Rema shouted.
"How the hell are we going to get out of here Gunny?" TK asked.
"Urgh, Kami how are you in pain?" Afyon asked.
"Slightly, shouldn't hinder me though" Kami replied.

I have no other choice but to take a different route, these people are just too many in numbers for us to punch a hole through Afyon thought to himself as the squad was fired upon.

"Kain, Kami and Rema start moving backwards we'll give you some cover fire, we'll start a leap frog manouver" Afyon ordered.
"Aye Sergeant" Rema replied.

The three slowly retreated backwards moving from cover to cover while the rest of the squad open fires in an attempt to take the attention away from them. The enemy, thinking that this was to be a prelude to a full scale charge stayed behind their cover giving the three a perfect chance to retreat.

"Damn carbine, why do you have to be so inaccurate! I haven't hit a single man during this mission!" TK complained as he starts to slow down to take aim.

Kami retreated swiftly, Rema close by her right shoulder and Kain just a step behind. As the trio reached the doorway where they had entered the tech room Rema signaled and they dropped into a crouch. Positioning herself with the others so that the doorway gave her cover from enemy fire, Kami brought up her rifle and readied herself for some straight shooting. 'Which will be damn difficult with this headache'

She watched as Afron, practically aglow with the backlight of all the fire heading in the Dragoons direction glanced back, and seeing them in position signaled for the rest of the squadron to pull back. Kami tightened her jaw, aware that her vision was become blurry. Now was not the time to shoot one of her teammates.

Afron, Niko and TK all simultaneously stopped firing, brought down their rifles and began to sprint towards the doorway. And almost immediately, the Rebels reacted.

Around twenty soldiers rose from their position behind the table while their comrades continued to fire erratically in the direction of the Dragoons. Forcing herself not to flinch with the sudden onslaught of blaster fire Kami focused on Afron, Niko and TK, who almost seemed to be running in slow-mo towards her. The Rebel soldiers who had moved up from behind the table were now in an almost perfect position to shoot them down from behind. Kami felt a grim smile lift the corners of her mouth, 'but in doing so they've placed themselves in the perfect position to be killed.'

Kami aimed, focusing on a particularly stupid trooper who had placed himself at the forefront of the group and shot him twice in the chest. She aimed again, and took down another trooper while fire from Rema and Kain knocked down three more. A rebel shouted, his voice barely recognizable over the noise of blaster fire, and the exposed troopers dropped back behind their tables just as the other Dragoons threw themselves into the relative protection of the doorway.

TK,  who had landed partly sprawled across Kami sucked in a loud breath and made to get back to his feet, 'Well, that was fun.'
"Move!" Afron broke into a run, taking point as the squad hastened to put distance between themselves and the enemy infested room. "We'll have to find another way around."

Kami glanced nervously behind her shoulder as the Dragoons rounded a corner "They're not going to be far behind." To her surprise Niko, who was running just in front of her let out laugh, "No, but there are going to be a lot less of them left to chase us." As if on cue, three muffled thumps sounded from the direction of the computer room. Despite the situation Kami felt herself smiling for the first time since she'd joined the Vast Empire. She was finally doing something...after all these months of waiting...she was finally fighting and killing Rebels....
"You guys are nasty." She replied, aware that sounds of an angry persuit were emerging from behind them.
Niko glanced over at her, and she could almost imagine the grin hidden behind his helmet, "Its in the job description."

[OOC: Time to misuse and abuse Marine Armor.  /OOC]

"Everyone inside the control center that includes you regulars."  Kuroishi barked into his comm.

As Kuroishi gave cover fire one by one Wraith and thier regular army reinforcements charged across the halway into the gunnery control center for the starboard side.

"Argon make another exit on the south side of the room.  Stonefish keep working on those guns.  Everyone else prepare to meet me at junction T-29."  Kuroishi shouted back into the gunnery control center.

"Weightlessness, vaccum, these things do not bother a tue marine."  Kuroishi muttered an old training mantra.

Darting out from the doorway he slammed the close button on the door panel and dove across the hallway. The streams of reinforcements had slown down.  Now all he had to do was make things a little more difficult for thier pursuers and confound them as to which way Wraith was actually going.  If he read the blue prints right the new doorway he told Argon to make would put them in a position to flank what remained of the security forces on site, problem was Kuroishi just had to keep thier attnetion all by himself while they did it and it may well cause gravity to go down and with the hull breach from thier entry point the air was getting a little thin as many of the emergency bulk heads had to be disabled to allow both Wraith and the security forces to move around and with the current fighting conditions no one could spare a tech to go in and fix it.

"Time for some of my legendary precision."  Kuroishi said to himself as he steadied the blaster rifle and began changing from supression fire to a randomly timed sniper shot.

The sounds of the station had suddenly changed.  Stonefish had either turned the guns off or he was waiting for a more oportune moment to turn them on thier former rebel masters.

"Kuroishi to command starboard side of objective is no longer a threat.  Moving on to port side."  Kuroishi spoke calmy into his comm unit.

Things were about to become interesting.

[OOC: This is kinda in the middle of Kuroishi's post above]

Gunfire whizzed and rattled in the doorways of the small control room as Stonefish sweated over the keyboard of the main computer. The system was just not letting him in, and Army High Command had not been kind enough to issue a magic box-o-tricks on this trip.

"I'm out of ammo over here!" shouted Argon as he drew his Rykk blades and disembowelled a green-skinned NR trooper in a spray of blue blood.

Stonefish called as he tossed his blaster carbine over. Argon smoothly sheathed one of the blades and caught the carbine in one hand.

"What do you expect me to do with this toy?" he shouted back, slashing at another humanoid trooper.

"Don't bother me with trivia, I'm trying to work here!"

Suddenly, Stonefish remember the weakness in the CoruComm security system they used on these stations. The system used an encryption route that could not cope with standard character codes greater than 127, so the logon script could be broken by entering punctuation marks in the password field. Stonefish tapped in a random sequence of hashes, exclamation marks, and stars and hit the return key.

The screen went black, and a cursor started blinking in the top corner of the screen.

"All right, I'm in!" he yelled.

"Hurry up, will ya, these guys are starting to bore me." Kuroishi called back.

Stonefish accessed the gun control system, and reprogrammed the IFF files to identify NR craft as targets, and to ignore any VE signals in the area, at least for the guns this console controlled. He then called up the internal sensors, to see what was going on in the area.

"Okay, the guns on this console are belong to us," Stonefish called over the crack of blaster fire.

"Lock down that console, and let's move! It's starting to get crowded around here!" ordered Kuroishi.

"One sec, I just saw something."

Stonefish scrolled up the output that had just flashed past, and saw the security doors control. A schematic of the station flashed up, with the locations of the vacuum-seal security doors highlighted. Stonefish tapped a few keys, and clangs reverberated around the corridors as heavy gauge durasteel doors hammered down at specific junctions. The sounds of gunfire reduced dramatically.

"What did you do?" asked Argon, "I was having fun there."

"I shut the vacuum doors along most of the route between here and the port control room. We should have a pretty clear run to it now."

Stonefish tapped in a few more commands, and pulled up a 16,384 bit random number which he used to encrypt the entire terminal.

"Okay, unless some genius brings an R5 in here, that should stay locked until we can get control of the whole station. Let's go."

[OOC: Well, looks like we have a comm tech for the moment, I guess I'll take the medic spot, it kinda goes with the idea of a scout...]

"All right," said Kuroishi, "you heard the man.  Argon, take point.  Mandor, you've got rear guard.  Everyone else, let's move!"

Argon slipped forward, sheathing his Rykk blades and bringing his pistols out again.  Luckily he'd been able to get some ammo for them by scrounging some of the dead Rebels.

As he moved, he checked each blast door; Fish may have closed them, but as the Wraiths had proven, that wasn't always an unpassable obstacle.

About a third of the way down, he came upon what he'd been expecting.

"Da...  Kuroishi," he said, "We've got Rebels trying to blow down a blast door here, watch it when you walk by.  Number 2V84-I98G."

"Understood," came the reply, "we'll be on the lookout."

As he sped around another corner, a shot flashing past his left shoulder let him know he wasn't quite alone in this passageway.

He immediately dropped to one knee and sprayed fire at the inside corner of the hallway and blast door.

As he stood, he looked down at the unfortunate corpse of a former Rebel trooper, now nothing more than a charred mass of fur and flesh.

He tried to imagine what it would be like being a single trooper on a station, suddenly trapped in a long hallway with dozens of enemies advancing on him.

Shaking his head to clear it of the thought, he moved on, he was almost halfway there...

Despite the efforts the squad made to advance further without being thrown into yet another round of shoot and don't be shoot, it was an inevitable reality the group faced in the scenario. They wound their way through corridors and rounded corners, but there always seemed to be an out of place run ahead and behind them.

The Dragoons neared another large room, with an approximate fifty enemies at first sight. Afyon and Rema seemed to have similar strategies in hand, as the signals they were using to delegate silent orders coincided. From what Niko understood, the orders involved getting in one way, blasting a way through, and getting out of the door on the far right of the room. With a nod of acknowledgement, the squad walked through the fresh hold and started firing.

They broke off into pairs, he and TK were stuck together. They took centre of the room. More likely to be hit, but they were also able to hit more easily. The enemies set themselves in sparse groups, and the squad was able to take a third of them out while they were in a scramble. Nonetheless, it was a group not to be underestimated.

TK and Niko were being shot at the most, and despite how they felt about it, being the bait worked out nicely. The other Dragoons quickly downed the numbers, and not a moment too soon, as another file of enemies came through the targeted exit.

"How many more do you think there are?" he called over to Rema.

"I don't know, but we won't be getting through that way anytime soon," he yelled back.

"Through here, come on!" Afyon ordered well rushing his squad through another door.

"Another long way? Great..." Kami said as she ran through.

Mandor stayed low, watching Wraith's back. He walked with his back to Stonefish, training his guns on every door that they walked by. As they walked past the seventh door in the coridor, Mandor heard a low grinding sound.

With a high pitched squeel, a door cracked open about 2 feet. Mandor watched as a round device rolled into the middle of the hall. Just as he realized what it was he yelled "Get Down!", and a blast burned his eyes like a hundred suns.

He laid on the ground, and rolled to the left, trying to avoid the firefight he couldnt see, but could hear slightly. He heard Kuroishi shouting commands, and hundreds of blaster bolts.

"Watch the flank!, Get down, Cover Man..or"He heard.

As his vision began to clear, he heard the blaster bolts begin to slow.

"Two left!" Fish yelled.

As his vision came back to him, he pulled one of his O-6 officer's pistoles, and fired 2 shots at the remaining rebels. He hit the rodian in the chin, and the other blaster bolt skimmed his ear.

"Okay, All clear, Get Mando up" Kuroishi said to the Wraiths.

Stonefish helped Mandor to his feet and said sarcasticly "You know, your not supposed to look at flash bangs..."

"Uhh, thanks mate" Mandor replied sheepishly.

Mandor put his pistole away, and equiped his E-11/C carbine.

"Ill take lead again, Fish you take rear now, Lets give Mando some time to get his senses back" Kuroishi said

They proceded down the corridor, twords the next objective on the Odin

[OOC: Little long, but i got bored.]

"Where are all the people coming from?" Rema yelled through clamped teeth as the squad grinded to a halt. They had reached another large room that seemed to be a repair station for computers. Only twelve forms scrambled about the room as the Dragoons pushed in. Rema caught the sight of eight humans and four Sullustan's. Moving into the room first, Rema, Kain and Kami made a semi-circle formation covering the area. Quickly, they moved forward dispatching the unlucky repairmen that tried to escape. Obviously they didnt think the invading soldiers would have made it this far. Unprepared fools.

Ducking down behind a bank of computers, Rema turned back and signaled for the rest of the squad to come forward. Peaking out above the terminal, Rema watched for any sign of movement. He quickly chanced a look with the infrared mode of his helmet. He instantaneously located the remaining seven repairmen huddled together behind a rather large set of computer banks. Pointing to the location, Rema's fireteam moved out. Afyon and TK provided cover while Niko watched the back door.

Closing on the rebel's position, Rema motioned for Kami and Kain to each take a side of the bank, and moved to fire on his mark. Reaching the edge of the computer bank, Rema let go a slew of laser fire into the banks at the same time Kami and Kain flew around the sides. The repairmen jumped from their hiding locations taking numerous shots in the back. Still pointing their guns at the smoldering bodies, the rest of Dark Dragoons moved up to them.

"Good job Corporal, your fireteam did well." Afyon said as he passed Rema.

"Unfortunately sirs, we might have a problem." Kain called. He was crouching down where the repairmen had been sitting. A datapad had been jury-rigged to the terminals and seemed to have been transmitting something before Rema shot into the terminal. "Looks like we are going to be having some company real soon."

"We need stall them. Kain and Niko give me a hand over here. Im going to try and barricade this door to give us some time." Afyon said moving to the door they came through. Niko, Afyon and Kain began pushing things quickly up toward the now closed door when Rema heard a thumping sound coming from the corridor he was guarding. He opened a Com. Channel to Afyon but before he could make a peep, three tall hairy white beasts with huge tusks came charging down the hall carrying huge vibroblades.

"What the hell are those?" TK said from behind Rema.

"I dont know but..." was all Rema got out before a loud screech came from the creatures and the three Dragoons opened fire. The first wave of fire slammed into the leading creature but it kept coming. Finally the creature collapsed before their feet, but it was too late. The other two had gotten to them. Stumbling back, Rema continued to fire as one of the creatures smashed its arm into him flinging him away. Skidding into the wall Rema laid there dazed, as black spots clouded his vision. He saw one of the creatures bring its sword down onto TK's communications set and push him to the ground. Kami continued firing as the creature that smashed into Rema charged her. Before it could reach here however, a hail of blaster fire sliced into the creature bringing it down. A similar fate met the other white beast as Afyon, Niko and Kain came running toward them.

Slowly picking himself up, Rema wobbled over to the rest of the squad. Afyon and Kami were examining the bodies while Kain, and Niko were watching the hall the beasts had come from.

"What the hell are those things Gunny?" Kami was saying as Rema approached.

"Whiphids." Afyon replied bluntly. "Must have been on the planet getting agricultural supplies or something. I assume when we jumped into the system they joined up arms with the New Republic."

"We got another problem Gunny." TK said walking up to them. "Looks like that creature smashed the Omni system. This thing is going to need some repairs."

Rema knew under his helmet Afyon must have been giving a long sigh. The last 30 minutes for the squad had been hell and it wasnt getting better. Rema had guessed that they were close to the main command center. Hopefully soon this would be over.

"Alright, lets move out." Afyon said taking point with Niko. TK strolled behind them carrying the remains of the communications system. Bringing up the rear were Kami and Kain followed by Rema. Stopping by the door, Rema reached down and played with the doors controls. It slammed shut and Rema hoped it would buy them some more time.

Still a little shaken by the Whipid attack, Kami forced herself to swallow and focus as she followed TK out of the computer repair room. Her headache was beginning to make things difficult, with her vision becoming progressively worse by the minute. Those computers must have been made from solid steel, she thought bitterly as the Dragoons followed the dark hallway leading from the repair room.

With a start Kami realized that the squad had halted, and that she must have missed the signal because she was the last to stop. Kain gently tapped her arm, "Are you alright?" he whispered, seemingly aware of the silence which had filled the air since they'd left the repair room. Kami hesitated for the briefest of moments, and then nodded.
Apparently satisfied with Kami's answer, Kain looked towards Afyon and Rema who were in silent discussion at the front of the group. The Dragoons had reached a T-junction, and judging by the sheer size of the corridor they had come out onto, they'd found a path to the command center.

Kami watched as Rema glanced quickly in both directions of the corridor, no doubt with his infrared on to search for life forms. He motioned with two thumbs up and Afron signaled for the squad to move out and to the right. Niko and Afyon took point, Rema dropping back to take the rear again with Kain, leaving Kami and TK to form up the middle which while in her current condition, Kami didn't mind at all.

The main hallway was easily as wide as at least two people lying foot to foot, probably so grav-sleds could be pushed back and forth to the tech and supply rooms which were dotted along the corridor. Painfully aware at the risky position that the Dragoons were now in, with numerous doorways capable of hiding an ambush surrounding them; Kami constantly scanned the floor and walls ahead of her, straining her ears in an effort to pick up any sound of movement apart from the soft footsteps of her teammates.

After the squad had progressed around 200 meters without any signs of life, and just when Kami was beginning to think that this mission had not been so desperate... large, steel grey blast doors came into sight at the end of the hallway...along with steel grey barricades and swarms of enemy soldiers.

The squad froze mid-step.

They were now positioned directly in the sights of at least 30 Rebels. But by some hand of whatever god or goddess of luck, their attention was firmly focused towards the right of the hallway. Forcing herself to let out the breath which had become caught in her throat, Kami realized that Rema and Kain were moving slowly and soundlessly backwards in an attempt not to draw attention to their position. She watched out of the corner of her eye as Rema fiddled with a door on the left side of the hallway, causing it to slide backwards with the smallest of squeaks. Kami tensed, but felt a wave of relief when the Rebels didn't react. Rema and Kain slipped inside the door and looked pointedly towards the rest of the squad. Kami glanced over at TK, and they both began to copy the duo's maneuver, moving slowly backwards and into the doorway. A few seconds later Afyon and Niko entered the room, the door sliding shut behind them.

Glancing about the small storage room in which they were now cramped Afyon let out a deep breath, "Ok, we're going to need reinforcements."

"Oh, stop it,i'll do it" Snipes said raising his hands in exasperation.

    "I can. . ." Flying started

"defend the door" Snipes finished stepping over to the Turbo Laser generator and kneeling by a 4 inch tube filled with wires, he needed to take down the lasers then be able to bring them back online, FK didnt have the training for it and Snipes did, he would've normaly let FK fool with it anyway, but this needed to be done fast.

He grabbed a vibroblade from a dead rebel rodian and switched it on to make sure it worked, then he used it to cut the thick pipe in half, then cut another peice about an inch down just to make sure the electricity didnt jump. there where more effective ways of doing it, but Snipes knew this would be considerably quicker.

"Great Snipes, how ya gonna put it back together now?" Flying asked sarcasticaly.

Snipes just took off his pack and began removing several rolls of wireing and a small electronic device of his own making. he cut off more of the pipe, but none of the wire, then stripped off the many wires and spliced new ones in.

"what is that?" FK asked motioning to Snipes electronic device.

"oh, just a little thing i rigged up on the dominion i just connect the wires in here like so" Snipes said stuffing several wires in small slots on the electronic device "then i do that on the other end. . .and whala! all i need to do is flip this switch and the whole turbo laser system comes back on line."
    "
you realy did your homework" Flying said, sounding slightly amazed.

"ya, thanks,"Snipes said quickly pulling up his comlink, he switched it on "Luetenant, this is the sergeant, we finished, all ready, down here,"

"Good work boys" Rizzit crackled over the com "we've been seeing signs of your good work over here, i'd advise you keep your daughter close"

    "right Luey"

    "your daughter?" FK asked

"this baby here" Snipes said motioning to the generator and mocking hurt.

"you guys work this out while i was out of the room or something?"

"heh heh" Snipes chuckled "you could put it that way, i imagine whatever room you where in was no where near VE space though"

"ah, i. . " Flying broke off as the thud of boots echoed down the hall

the three RAIDERs dashed into the antichamber to the generator room, wich was no more that a 8 by 12 room that had held a three chairs a long table and a system terminal. now the terminal was in pieces, occasionaly spewing a few sparks in protest, the table was knocked over, facing the door, wich was locked using Snipes favorite method of blasting the lock. the chairs where all knocke down and the remains of two dead rebels where stacked infront of the door to trip the unwary, the third trooper was dead in the generator room.

"i still think thats sick and wrong" FlyingKnight said as he knelt down behind the table with the other three.

there was no need to ask what he ment, it was obviously the dead rebel pile Snipes had started "it works"

Snipes heard the door groan in protest and raise up about three inches. Snipes readyed himself, this was a E-11/H job and so he shouldered it, folding out the stock in the oh so rarely done style of somebody going for maximum control. the door gave a shake and a shudder and moved anouther tree inches up, Snipes set a few grenades down by his feet for easy access. The door gave a larger shudder and this time smoothly opened all the way, Snipes, JR and FlyingKnight opened fire, Snipes E-11/H sometimes ripping holes threw rebels the size of his head. the tide of rebels slimmed though and begand to severly slacken, they must have decided to go discuss strategy, that or they coulding get threw the pile of dead and wounded in the door.
"check you ammo" Snipes said softly
"im good" Flying replyed pushing a new pack into his E-11
"so am i" JR came, still keeping a watch on the door. "they're coming again!" He hefted his blaster and opened fire
Fallowed quickly by Snipes and FlyingKnight, Snipes took a few shots in his upper arms and chest, but the armor too the brunt and the leftover just burnt.
it was only a few second though before Snipes heard a rattle and thunk behind him in the generato room. and he rann back to investigate. what he saw surprised him, but it was a one meter by one meter whole in his ceiliing, and a rope coming down.
"guys we have a problem! Fall back!  fall back!" Snipes yelled opening fire on the hole."and lock the door behind you!"

(OOC: Kami, it's Afyon not Afron /OOC)

"Oh that's just great..." TK grunted as he realised that there was no ammunition left in the carbine.
"Gunny, what's the plan? We definately need re-inforcement of somekind" Rema asked,

Afyon looked around the room and started to tap on the surrounding walls....

"Hmm, this part seems to be hollow...TK try and check that computer over there and see whether or not there's a way to get through this." Afyon ordered.
"What's the ammunition status everyone?" Rema asked.

"I've only got one more for my pistol, out of rifle..." TK replied as he started to press different buttons.
"I'm starting to get low, I have two rifle and 3 pistol" Afyon replied.
"Same status as the gunny" Niko replied.
"Well, I have five rifle but i only took two pistol" Kain replied.
"How about you Kami?" Rema asked.

Kami was sitting on the floor looking almost lifeless, seeing this Afyon quickly took her helm off to make it easier for her to breathe.

"Kami, are you alright?" Rema asked.
"urgh, I'll be fine..." She hesitantly replied.

With the light thud, the hollow wall opened up leading into a different path.

"I got it!" TK informed.

With the lift system down the trip had been long for Wraith but it was probably safer.  With Stonefish's override on the doors it had managed to prove rather uneventful yet at times unsettling.

Kuroishi figured that the rebels knew that the main approach paths would be from the port arc.  They weren't stupid and they could see where the fleet was positioned.  So on the toher side of these last few doors would be one heck of a fire fight.

"Allright we can't stay here for too long and on the other side of these last few doors is almost certainly a few killing fields so keep to cover and take your shots carefully.  Argon the door if you would please."  Kuroishi gathered the squad.

As the squad took cover Argon placed the explosives and found his own cover then triggered them.

A quick hail of blaster fire filled the coridore.  Carefully Kuroishi peked around the bend, it wasn't nearly as bad as he had expected but it was still a killing field for anyone dumb enough not to find cover.

Kuroishi placed his rifle on his weapons pack and took his sniper rifle.  Carefully taking aim Kuroishi began to make n impact on the prepared positions.  A truely maccob painting of blood now covered the walls.  190 rounds left.

With the flame of Argon taking out the closer positions it was now feasable to advance into the next coridor.

"Allright  Argon, Fish, Yuy.  You three first.  I'll get the e-web on the right side then you move."  Kuroishi said as he reloaded.

A quick succession of three shots eliminated the e-web crew and made the e-web non-functional.  As the three men moved Kuroishi waited for his line of fire to open up and he repeated the process against the other e-web.  The few soldiers left died in either a bath of flame or under a hail of fire.

Switching back to his blaster rifle Kuroishi took the time to stop and gather a few blaster clips.

"The next one will not be so easy.  Take cover and make sure no one sneaks up behind us while I see if I can find a way around this last killing field."  Kuroishi said as he heard sounds of heavy equipment being dragged into position through the blast doors.

So far they had gotten lucky.  Only a few minor flesh wounds all around and no incidents of friendly fire.  This next obsticale could easily prove deadly.  The last position didn't have the time to fully cover thier prepared positions and thus were easy prey for Kuroishi's expert shooting and Argon's flame thrower.  This time it sounded like they were prepared in every snse of the word.  Yet just beyond them was the port side gunnery control center.

"Allright looks like if we go through this wall instead of through that door we can at least attack them from the side instead of directly in front.  Far less suicidle."  Kuroshi said as he drew his vibro katana once more and activated it.

The blade became white hot in a moment and thrust it into the wall and began to make a new door.  In a couple moments it was done.

the troopers had a new path to thier target and Kurioshi lead the way.  As he got to the section parralel to the killing field the noise of heavy machinery could be clearly heard working on metal.

"Everyone to cover."  Kuroishi shouted as a large section of the wall came down.

Kuroishi watched as Lukas Yuy took a hit and went down right next to him.  He was still alive but he'd probably be in a bacta tank for days maybe even a week.

Draging Lukas Yuy behind cover Kuroishi was watching more of the wall come down.

"Grenades, all of them that you got now."  Kuroishi barked.

Tossing his own frag grenades into the mass of confined rebel troopers he could see they had prepared thier positions well.

"For a lightening strike on the port gunnery control center this situation is sure a hell bogging down.  Time to do something about it."  Kuroishi said as he tossed his smoke grenades.

As the coridor began to fill with thick white smoke the fire from the rebel positions became sporadic.

Leaving cover Kuroishi charged toward the positions.

With vibro katana in his left hand and double barrled blaster rifle in his right hand he appeared in the midst of a rather eclectic collection of species defending a rather well made bunker but Kuroishi didn't care they all died the same.

Sprays of red, green, and blue blood flew through the air in the microsecond before the wounds became cardirised by the heat of the vibro katana.

The smoke was now so thick no one could see more then five feet.  Wraith was now free to advance.

"Bring the pain."  Kuroishi said as he advanced to the next bunker.

Wraith and thier regulars scrambled in and instead of a messy blaster fight it became a messy knock down drag out fight.  Argon and Kuroishi had significant advantages from thier greater strength and agility the rest of the squad and the regulars would be duking it out on much more even terms though.

"I'm going for the computer, everyone else hold down the fort."  Kuroishi said as he opened the door to the control center.

Heavier with defenders but no where for them to hide Kuroishi was thankfull his armor was specificly designed to be as protective as posible against blaster fire since he didn't have anywhere to hide either.

Standing there silhouted against the smoke rolling in like a fog he knew this would be a perfect time for one of his psuedo religous psychological warfare lines.

"i have come unto you to bring the only gifts that I can give, an eternity of suffering and death."  Kuroishi said as he began firing on the defenders.

Blasters pelted off his armor and defenders dropped.  In a matter of moments the room was cleared with Kuroishi gunmanship and rapid fire capabilities of his double barreled blaster rifle.

Now for the trick he saw Stonefish use on the other computer.

"Wraith to command port side guns are now under our control.  Holding position until reinforcements arrive."  Kuroishi commed.

Wraith squad pilled into the gunnery control center with Argon carrying Lukas Yuy.

"We'll have a couple minutes until all hell breaks loose but hopefully by then the rebels will be too busy repelling the main boarding forces to worry about us too much.  What happened to the regulars?"  Kuroishi said as he looked over his battered and bruised squad.

"They got the bright idea that they could take on a couple wookies by themselves.  We're still finding pieces of them."  Stonefish answered.

"Well let's get this place ready for a siege then."  Kuroishi replied.

(OOC: Hmm, I should have made this post last night after we planned out our next move.  Ill try and work with this secret passage...I just wonder about the realism aspect of it but I think we can work with it.  Call it an old garbage chute that was covered up when the room was converted to storage or something.)

Afyon looked into the small dark passageway that TK had opened.  The dark passage smelt old and dusty and he could smell what seemed like old rotting garbage.  After shining a light into the passage and sniffing again, Afyon turned to the squad with a frown. "Unfortunately this seems to be an old garbage chute and not some sort of secret passage.  Most likely it was covered up when this room was made a storage room, must have been something else before."  He said as he looked at his squad.  For the most part the appear to be in relatively good shape despite the heavy fighting.  Several of them had scorch marks on their armor and Kami's helmet was badly dented.

"That being said, I think I have an idea." Afyon said after a moment of thought.  "The only people who can move at ease through the station currently are rebels, so why not try and grab a couple of their uniforms.  That would give us at least a few minutes of free passage before theyfigure it out.  In fact..."  Afyon paused in thought.  "The rebels we get the uniforms from, we can put them in this old chute so they won't be discovered.  Once we get the uniforms, we will make our way to the main fire control center for this level of the platform and disable the guns.  From there we'll improvise a plan to disable the next two layers."  He finished.

"Gunny, there are six regulars who landed, can they be of any use to us?" Rema asked.

"Actually yes they can, TK, radio them and tell them to begin an assualt at the area where they are.  With any luck, the rebels will think its us over there and we will be able to sneak out of here and find a place to get a couple of rebel uniforms.  One other thing, do not shoot the rebels you want the uniforms from, bloodied uniforms are a dead give away.  Use flashbangs, then knock them unconscious with the butt of your carbines.  We will kill them once we have brought their bodies back to this storage room so that we dont leave a blood trail anywhere."  Afyon added.

TK-112 got out his radio and quickly relayed the orders to the six regulars who had been hiding once they had landed, waiting for further orders.  About a minute later, the squad could here shouting outside the storage room and the sounds of running feet as several of the soldiers ran down the hall.

"Alright its working, try and find a room close to here with rebels in it, I am sure there will be something of importance close by.  Rema and I will take any officer's uniforms we find and then the squad will head to the fire control posing as a team sent to defend it.  Ill give you this signal-" Afyon made a hand motion, "when we open fire on the men inside fire control.  We must do our best to ambush and kill them all so word doesn't get out about the fact that imperial soldiers are wearing rebel uniforms.  Which reminds me of one other thing, we will store our gear behind some of the equipment here and take rebel weapons in order to avoid arrousing suspicion.  Any questions?"  Afyon asked as he looked around at his squad members.  They shook their heads.  "Alright prepare to move out."

Stonefish examined the room, and the immediate surroundings. It was fairly Spartan, a few desks, a couple of chairs and some computer terminals. The grim soldier took a look at the terminals more closely, examining the functions of each one.

"Hey, this terminal controls some internal defence systems," he said.

"Great," responded Kuroishi, "Think you can get them on our side?"

"I can try, but I've got some other toys to play with."

"Okay, what have you got in mind?"

[OOC: Cue A-Team music]

Stonefish pulled his pack from his back and rummaged around inside. He passed out a few spare power packs to each member of the squad, as they seemed to be running low on ammunition. Rummaging deeper, he grabbed out half a dozen small, shaped remote charges, and detonators, along with a pair of handheld welding/cutting tools.

"Well, I am a combat engineer after all," he said grinning, "I'm just standing in as comm tech."

Kuroishi pulled out his datapad and consulted the station schematics.

"Okay, we've got too many entry points at the moment. We need to reduce them to as small a number as possible. So we should reinforce these doors here, and here," he pointed to a number of doors which Stonefish had dropped from the other terminal, "We've got plenty of desks here, and I'm sure we can scavenge some from the adjacent rooms."

"I'm on it," said Mandor and Argon simultaneously.

Stonefish passed the pair one of the two welding torches.

"And then, we can block off this corridor with some of the computer equipment," continued Kuroishi, "That means they can only come at us through these two intersections."

"And if I mine those corridors, and I can rig some of the internal security," put in Stonefish.

"Outstanding," concluded Kuroishi, "Now all we need is a deck of cards."

The squad quickly split off, with Argon and Mandor cutting up and transporting desks through to the doors, and Kuroishi moving the computer equipment while Stonefish set up the mines in the corridor. They knew they didn't have much time before trouble started coming. They needed to be prepared for a fight.

JR and FK ran back into the antichamber.  JR tried to close the door again but thanks to the shot it wouldn't budge. "Hey Snipes, we got a problem, get back here." JR said, and got behimd the table with FK.  Snipes looked towards them and seeing that the door wasn't budging he quickly pulled the pins off two grenades and tossed them up through the hole.  He then ran towards the anti-chamber and dove behind the desk just as the grenades went off, shaking the whole room.  The three RAIDERS could hear thuds from the floor above and saw a few dead rebels fall through the hole.

"Great," JR said, "Now what?"

Just then Sniping came up with a plan.  "Hey FK, got any idea what's above us?" He asked.

"Uhh, I'm pretty sure its a storage room." He replied, "but I don't see why that's import..."  Just then blaster blots started coming from the control room.  JR and FK started to shoot at the rebels as Sniping was telling them the plan.

"On the count of three, you two are going to move close this door with this table." He told them, "after I've welded it, I will cut a hole in the roof and we will use the chairs to climb up into the storage room.  We will then attack the rebels hopefully catching them by surprise.  Alright ONE...TWO...THREE"

With that JR and FK picked up the door and blocked the door.  Snipes ran over and welded it to the wall.  He then cut a hole in the roof and the three RAIDERS climbed into the room above.  They then opened the door and charged forward into the unknown.

The control room may have been a bit spartan, but the next room over was a gold mine of tables and chairs and other large pieces of furniture.

Quickly grabbing a table, Argon cut it neatly in half with the welding supplies and moved the pieces to the next room, handing them and the welding supplies to Mandor who proceeded to start blocking off one of the doors.

Five chairs and another table later, there were only two entrances and exits to and from the room, not counting the window which they hoped not to exit through.

Outside, they could see the silent and feiry spectacle of hundreds of starfighters and dozens of capital ships clashing in the beautiful dark of space.

As he watched, a flare came from his right, one of the guns of the station firing, striking out into space and ending in a small flash.

"Aaaaand...  done," said Kuroishi.

Argon looked back outside, the flashes of light from the station had stopped, hopefully that would mean some regulars as reinforcements soon.

"Argon," said Kuroishi, "how's the ammo for your flame rifle?"

"I've got enough left for a bit," said Argon, "why?"

"I want you to take the rear door," said Kuroishi, "our setup is off angle for it, so the only way we can take fire is if they come through.  I want you to make sure they don't."

"No problem," said Argon, "are we going to set up an E-web for the other one?"

"Good point," said Kuroishi, looking instinctively out the door through which the massive guns sat, now crewless, "drag one of them in here and set it up."

"Got it," said Argon, already moving.

Soon the Rebels would be here, and try as the Wraiths might, the enemy might get through.

But they would pay dearly if they did...

The remaining computer terminals hummed ominously in the control room as the standing members of Wraith squad waited somewhat impatiently for the action to begin. As Stonefish sat sweating over the computer terminal again, the humming seemed to be getting louder in volume. The hum became a bass drone in the mind of the greying veteran, driving out all thought of the task at hand.

"Did you hear that?" asked Argon.

"What?" Stonefish snapped back to reality.

"I though I heard a tapping noise down this corridor."

Stonefish made one last attempt to break the much tighter security around the internal defence systems. The New Republic network administrator had obviously started upgrading the systems on the station, but not finished the job before the Vast Empire forces arrived. Suddenly, the screen lit up with sensor readouts and camera and turret locations.

"I've got it," Stonefish said in disbelief, "security cameras, defence turrets, atmospheric control, everything."

Stonefish pulled up the internal sensor displays for the area that Wraith were trying valiantly to hold. Blue blips began to appear against the green of the corridor schematic.

"Hostiles coming in from the starboard side corridor," Stonefish reported, "I count at least thirty from here."

"Can you slow them down at all?" asked Kuroishi, "I'm not sure we could handle that all at once."

"Hang on."

Stonefish called up another screen, and tapped a few buttons. A security camera view appeared on the wallscreen behind the console. It showed a large number of uniformed troopers of varying species and genders advancing cautiously down the starboard approach to this control room, carbines held ready, scanning the corridor ahead.

"Watch this," said Stonefish grinning a little under his grey beard.

The imperial warrior tapped a few keys on the console, and the lead trooper on the screen held up a fist to signal the advancing troops to halt. Almost as one, the stopped and crouched in various alcoves and hatchways along the corridor.

"Watch what?" asked Mandor.

"This," replied Stonefish.

At three points along the corridor, swivel-guns dropped from the ceiling and began firing on the republic soldiers. Stonefish could see panic registering on a couple of faces as they scrambled away from the guns, some colliding with others as they tried to move away. A small number started firing on the guns themselves, but were quickly targetted and shot down where they stood. Smoke began to fill the corridor.

"Good enough?" asked the grey-haired imperial.

"Should be," replied the Wraith squad leader.

The smoke began to clear, and Stonefish quickly counted up the bodies.

"We got nineteen out of the thirty-six that were approaching that way, but the guns depleted their power packs by almost eighty percent, and with the main turbolasers firing, they'll take a while to charge up again."

"Well, at least they'll think twice before coming that way again."

Stonefish pulled the view back on the schematic again, and noticed some other signals coming from the port approach.

"More coming the other way! They've shut down the defences in that side!" called Stonefish.

A low mechanical voice came over the Golan's intercom system.

"All squads, report to the main turret power generators. Repeat, all squads report to the main turret power generators."

Sergeant Aaron T. Ebbs felt a few faint thuds reverberate through the Golan's steel walls. He threw a worried glance at the commading officer of this mission

First Lieutenant Rizzit Blackheart threw the look back in his face as if saying Do you doubt my troopers? Ebbs nodded and tightened the grip on his E-11.

The docking bay wasn't huge compared to what was on the Dominion, but it was large enough to house 3 pairs of X-Wing fighters and a few old and outdated Y-wings. There was also a troop transport and an battered YT-2300 freighter occupying most of the space.

Recalling what he knew of the Correlian freighters, mostly drawn from holodramas about the wretched Han Solo and his YT-1300 freighter the Millenium Falcon, Ebbs tried to come up with a way to use the old bird. He didnt like waiting, and holding this dociking bay was beyond boring. Now with the call for all troops to go after the Raiders and 2 members of his squad who were taking out the turbolasers, he figure they would see minimal action.

In fact He pondered, We havent been engaged for over 15 minutes He didn't believe that they were invisible to the NR holocams, but it almost appeared that way. What was worse than the waiting, was knowing that two of his veteran squad members, his ASL Sergeant Leo Karp and  Corporal Dimsar Yuman were down having all the fun.

Fighting back a yawn, another muffled explosion reached their ears, and he heard the nearby Turbolaser batteries power down.

A voice came crackling over Rizzit's com unit. "Sir, thi.....Sni.....lasers.....abled....pin....don't.....rendez...boarding..."

"Snipes." Rizzit replied, "Repeat that last transmission. Snipes?"

The sound of blasterfire, digitized by the comlink was all that came over, followed by loud cursing and Snipes hollering out orders.

"SNIPES REPEAT THAT TRANSMISSION. OVER." Rizzit barked into the com.

"Sorry Lieutenant." his voice came clear over the com, the static somehow gone. "We have taken down the turbolaser power supply and will hold here since we are pinned down." A muffled explosion followed by a "woot" that sounded like JR came over the com. "After the boarding we will rendezvous with you at the security center. Just look for the big hole in the floor. Snipes out."

Shaking his head, Rizzit deactivated the comlink.

"Squall, get me a link to General Fury on this frequency. Hurry." The newest memeber of the much revered Raiders squad came up and took the com package from his commander. "Ebbs, I want you to take your men and get down to that security center and hold it until we can get there once our backup arrives. Change your comm to channel seven-four-two. I'll contact you once the calvary has arrived."

"Roger that Lieutenant," Ebbs replied saluting the officer. He knew Rizzit only by reputation, never having had the pleasure of working under his command. However  his reputation did him little justice for his competency as a leader, and his charisma washed over the troops, inspiring them to go to their limits.

Checking his power levels, he prepped the remaining three memebers of his squad to head out. Once they all checked out he set his jaw, squared his shoulders and barked "MOVE OUT."

Rizzit watched as the squad of regulars doubletimed out of the docking bay. They're probably going to their deaths. Rizzit morbidly thought, But that Ebbs seems competent enough. Who knows. Maybe they'll surprise me.

Without some help soon everything Wraith had accomplished would be for nothing, perhaps it was time to call in another strafing run.  Now to figure out where.  Last time they were in a position that they would not be in any danger from a hull breach, this time however there was far greater danger if Daishi couldn't put his shots smack on the money.

Sure the two of them were crack shots with rifles and pistols but behind the controls of a starfighter a lot of the feel and precision of shooting accurately was lost.

Either the rebels had started communications jamming or there was some other hold up keeping reinforcements as Kuroishi hadn't recieved any sort of respose from any one other then Daishi.

Then an idea hit him, if the rebels were going to take the time to disable thier own systems why not help them along in the process?

"Kuroishi to Daishi.  Request a ion only run on section A-1.  Repeat ions only.  Do you copy?"  Kuroishi commed.

"Yeah I read you.  I'll get on it as soon as possible."  Daishi's voice broke through the static.

At least some of the frequencies were still clear at least.

Kuroishi watched and waited as more lights began to flicker as the station came under fire once more.

Kuroishi was gambling that having Daishi run another strafe would slow the rebles down even more without hampering thier ability to hold out.

Glad that her vision was beginning to clear, but irritated that violent nausea had replaced it, Kami, who was positioned closest to the storage door, looked at the other members of her squad to check that they were ready. She'd considered that they might have to break up to find the Rebels they would need for uniforms, as it was unlikely that they would be able to take down Dragoon sized group without attracting too much attention.
As the door slid slowly back Kami checked the proximity of the Rebels in the corridor. While the command center still boasted a sizable defense force, the majority of those blockading the surrounding hallways had disappeared. It seems like the other stromies are doing a good job of making a mess...

Stepping out into the corridor, her E-11 held at ready, Kami moved into a jog, heading back along the corridor and away from the command center, the soft footfalls of the Dragoons close behind her. She passed a few storage rooms then continued past the corridor the Dragoons had entered the main corridor from. Reaching up and flipping on her infrared Kami continued forwards, searching for signs of life. Spotting two red blurs in the distance, Kami slowed then stopped, and turned back to her squad. Raising her hand she motioned with two fingers then pointed along the corridor and to the left. Receiving a nod of confirmation from Afyon, Kami slid her E-11 over her shoulder and pulled one of her flashbangs free. With TK at her side, she moved up and around a corner of the corridor, coming to a halt outside the doorway in which the two Rebels were located. Pulling the pin out of flashbang Kami counted to three and stepped into the room.

Two Rebels, off-duty soldiers judging from the disgruntled appearence of their uniforms, glanced up from a clip board they had been examining, irritation marring their features.

Kami grinned and threw the flashbang at their feet.

The soldiers yelped, stumbling back from the intense light as TK and Kami leapt forwards, their helmets filtering out the effects of the flashbang.
Kami charged the disorientated Bothan male, jumping over a pile of papers and slamming her elbow into his temple. The soldier let out a grunt of surprise and went down in a heap.
Kami spun, bringing the butt of her carbine up, only to find TK standing over the unconscious form of the female soldier. Kami dropped down into a crouch and examined the woman's uniform, "Dammit," Kami snarled,  "she had to be fat..." She heard a muffled laugh from TK's direction, "She'll have to do."

Seeing a flash of white in the doorway Kami looked back up to see Rema. He pointed further down the corridor then disappeared, the rest of the squad following close on his heels.
Kami, resigning herself to the fact that she had to lug this woman back to the storage room, clamped her arms under the soldier's shoulders and pulled her back towards the doorway. TK slung the bothan easily over his shoulder and walked up next to her, "Want me to lead?" Kami sighed and stumbled to the side, letting him move past.

They made their way back to the storage room without  incident, and changed swiftly into the enemies colors. With TK's help, Kami pinned the soldiers garb back so it fitted her reasonably well.  Immensely glad to be rid of her charred helmet Kami pulled her dark hair into a braid and pushed her bangs from her eyes, "How do I look?"
TK looked her up and down, "Like a Rebel."

A  soft shuffle from behind them announced the arrival of the rest of the squad, who were each carrying a limp Rebel in one hand and their weapons in the other. Afyon and Rema dumped two officer's near the chute and helped Kain and Niko pull the bodies of two Rebel soldiers the rest of the way into the room.
"No problems gunny?" Kami asked as the squad began to shed helmets. Afyon shook his head, "No, but I have a feeling this is about to become, if possible, even more interesting."

The results of the strafing run had been acceptable.  Sure Wraith lost the automated defenses on the starboard approach but in a couple more minutes the rebel techs would have disabled them anyway.  In exchange there was no way to open the vaccum doors or the security blast doors without negating thier purpose and that would severly slow down the rebel security forces as some sections on the starboard side of the station were now becoming a vaccum.  At least they still had local internal sensors.

The thirty or so security troops that had been making good progress before were now at a crawl.  Though slowed they would still get here and be more then Wraith could likely handle.

The reinforcements would hopefully arrive soon.  Until then Wraith would just have to hold thier position.  Where they were they could defend and had a limited number of access points that wouldn't get the rebels gunned down in a few seconds.

Kuroishi did a quick count of how many security forces they had taken out versues men no longer able to fight for whatever reason.  Twenty maybe thirty security foces and ten to fifteen crewers for the loss of the three regulars and Lukas Yuy.  Under current circumstances that would have to do for now.

Kuroishi checked the display in the corner of his eye to see the rebels were almost in position.

"Here they come.  No point in conserving ammo.  If we make it out of this alive there will be plenty to take from the enemy.  If we don't make it out alive then we won't be any more ammo ever.  Or getting captured would also rather reduce our ammunition needs as well."  Kuroishi rambled as he readied his double barrled blaster rifle.

The rebels announced thier attack with a barrage of suppressive fire.  Against anyone but the hardened soldiers of Wraith squad the tactic would have kept most squads from returning accurate fire and making the advance deadly.  This day they would pay heavily.

The security forces were no fools and appeared to have a combination of expierience and good leadership as they made excelent use of what cover was available from Wraith squad's return fire.

Then suddenly hails of blaster fire errupted from the flank of the advancing security forces.  Under the intense cross fire they never had a chance.

For one of the few times in his life Kuroishi was glad to see a squad of regulars moving down the hallway.

"Sir.  We have secured the landing bay and our forces are moving throughout the station.  We will hold here.  The general regrets not being able to have someone answer your comm signals but he wants me to remind you of something he says you should know well:  War is organized chaos."  The regular squad leader briefed Kuroishi.

"Allright squad let's gather what we can use from the rebels then let's find a nice quiet place to take a few minutes and relax, it may well be the last chance we will have to take a break before either being ordered to assist the regulars or shipped planetside."  Kuroishi said as he gathered blaster packs.

The fighting would continue without them but right now they had to get Lukas to a real medic and take a break.

Kuroishi suddenly got the feeling he never should have gotten out of bed in the morning as the squad relaxed.

Opening the door to the docking bay, Ebbs peeked around the corner. Holding up one hand in a closed fist, he signaled his squad to hold. Once he was positive the hallway was clear and no NR troops were lying in ambush, he opened his fist and waved his troops forward.

Repeating these steps at every corner, Ebbs silently envied the shock troopers abilities to rush reckelessly into battle and come out without a scratch. The legendary exploits of the Vast Empire's elite troops sometimes caused him to lose respect for his regulars. He once tried to be a shocktrooper, but didnt make it through the basic training.

After a few minutes of checking corners and watching their backs, the small squad reached the access hatch that one of the Raiders, Sniping something or other had cut through the floor with a cutting torch.

"I'd love to know where he got one of those." One of the troopers said.

Ebbs shot him a look that would melt duracete. "No unneccessary chatter Private. Do y ou want to give away our position?"

SIlence was his answer. Thats how he liked it too. SOme squads were relaxed,. letting the soldiers chatter amongst themselves.Supposed relax them, ease the tension. Ebbs scoffed at this idea. It also left them unfocused, And an unfocusedc squad is a dead one.

Peeking into the security center, Ebbs saw nothing but darkness. Pulling out the comlink Rizzit had given him, he opened the channel.

"Rizzit this is Ebbs, I'm at the security center and about to secure the area."

"Good job Ebbs." came the Lieutenants reply. "Proceed with securing the center, regulars wil be here in under 10 minutes."

"Roger that, Ebbs out." Closing the link, he tcuked the comlink away in his belt, then drew his E-11.

"OK guys, standard entry, I'm first, then Jason, Reinat, and Simms. As soon as you touch down, spread formation. Jason and Simms secure the door. Reniat you watch this hole. I'll acces the main security system and try to  cut off support for the troops holding down the Raiders. WE only have to hold until the rest of the troops arrive, so defend yourselves at all costs, and dont worry about ammo. Now lets move."

E-11 in one hand, Ebbs cracked a glow rod in his other, and leapt into the hole. He hit the ground rolling and swept the darkness with his glow rod, and choked on the vomit that rose to his throat.

Body parts were strewn about the room. There was nothing that even resembled a body intact. EMPORER'S BACK BONES!!

"Everything ok down there sarge?" a voice floated from above.

"Yeah, get down here quickly." he whispered hoarsely in return.

Finally getting his stomach under control, he heard the rest of his squad touch down. They spread out to theior designated assignments. Remebering his own, Ebbs located the security console and switched on the holocams.

"Could this get any worse?" He said, surprised that the words actually came out. A full squad of NR heavy troops were marching on their position.

"SIMMS!!! SECURE THAT DOOR. BARACADE IT, CLOSE IT LOCK IT I DONT CARE. WE'VE GOT COMPANY!!" His disciplined squad sprang into action. The door swtich had been blasted through, so locking it was out of the question. Tippin gove rht desk and two tables that were in the room (luckily made of steel), the squad built a barrade in the doorway.

The distant pounding of heavy troops grew closer, the soudn of which reminded Ebbs of a distant thunderstorm, or the war drums of some primitive race.

Suddenly their barracde exploded, sending shards of steel throughout the room. Ebbs felt the shrapnel tear through his body, and watched in horror as Simms and Jason were torn to shreads, their lifeless bodies collapsing to the floor.

With the last of his strength, Ebbs pulled the comlink out.

"Rizzit*cough*cough*...this is Ebbs, we couldn't.....hold....I'm sorry."

Death came to him, and suddenly Ebbs no longer wished he was a shock trooper, he just simply wished he was.

"JR, FK, get down here, i'm going to patch this hole!" Snipes said motioning for them to get down. Snipes was knelt down behind a hastily constructed baraked of metal off the walls, he was lucky the walls had had permacrete behind them or it wouldn't have worked.

FK came flying down, fallowed quickly by JR "Watch the door" Snipes said simply they obeyed, and Snipes stepped up

on the barricade and took the remains of what had been the ceiling, he had cut it into several strips, he welded those

across the hole and set up a specially designed claymore mine that recognized stormtrooper armor, so it wouldn't obliterate the RAIDERS should they need to come that way.

"Snipes, what now?" JR asked curiously

"We wait" Snipes responded leaning up against the wall.

"Wont they get threw one of those before they get here?" Flying asked competently

"We have blasters don't we?" Snipes asked with a smile that hid behind his ever frowning helmet.

The squad chuckled for a second. it was tense, here in a small room, waiting for the enemy, running low on ammo, battered, beat and blaster burned, but it was what Snipes lived for, the tension, the thrill of the kill, it was what let him know he was alive, and he would mourn the day when he could do it no longer, he looked at the other RAIDERS, they didn't

appear outwardly tense, but Snipes knew them better, a shift of JRs hand on his blaster, the seemingly unblinking stare of
FlyingKnight.

Snipes laughed, if for no other reason than to relieve the tension. The two others looked at him quizzically and he shook his head. "This kinda reminds me of Bilbringi, remember that? That was a good mission"

"Heh, ya the one where you got stabbed" Flying asked

"Hey! That was in the back, against a Nohgri, there was nothing I could do about it!" Snipes retaliated

"Ha-ha, that's what they all say!" JR joked, and the RAIDERS went off into a cycle of story telling and joking.

". . . and then, out of now where here comes Mara. . ."JR broke off mid laugh as Snipes pointed at the door, it was beginning to glow orange.

"I guess they decided not to mess with opening something we can just close again" Snipes said jumping to a kneeling

position behind the makeshift barricade

"Well, at least we know where they are" Flying said, checking his blaster pack. "Gotta look on the bright side, Snipes"

"meh!" the door was getting hotter, turning white, he could see the metal running blaster fire could be heard from the other side, he assumed they where trying to shoot in the door. "Get ready guys, soon their going to try and blow the door in, sending white hot shrapnel flying at us."

"How do you know?" Flying asked

"Because it's what I could do" Snipes said with a smile Flying couldn't see." and if they don't, well then all we have to do is open fire, but I'm guessing they'd lead with a grenade anyway, probably HE"

    "So what do we do?"

Snipes removed a smoke grenade from his belt and pulled the pin, and then he tossed it at the door.

"Ahh!" Flying said, realization thick in his voice "we can see, but they can't, so when they blindly toss a grenade in here we slip out and give them a mouth full of blaster"

"Err . . . ya, that'd work, I didn't really have a plan, I was hoping one of you would come up with something"

    "Ha! Snipes you beggar"

"DUCK!" Snipes heard a faint click from the other side of the door that sounded slightly like the clunk of a grenade against the door.

Snipes was glad he had yelled, for seconds later (after everyone was safely behind the barricades) an explosion sounded fallowed by the sound of metal whizzing into the walls or on white armor, however it was just a second and the RAIDERS where up quickly and moving around the walls of the room, Snipes could see about 5-8 rebels come in and two more on guard duty. Snipes motioned to Fly who was on the other wall, and they both jumped out of the room and quickly dispatched the guards with a burst of E-11 fire. But the blaster fire only alerted the others, so Snipes and FK released a nowhere near controlled blast in and Snipes could here JR doing the same from the other side of the wall.
