oh hey, everybody... I should have a post up sometime today, if not then tomorrow.  Sorry it's taking me like a week to write and stuff... family has been getting sick left and right, and now I'm sickish (a bit), so... also trying to balance work in there somewhere, as well as the random HS football game.

Post should be done tonight or tomorrow morning.  Also... you learn what I accomplished while I was gone (albeit, a distorted version), a little bit about the relationship between Cayden and his father, and... some disturbing facts about some people.

So... long freaking nightmare gonna reveal a lot... it might be around 4000 words.  I'm going to try and make the mission-relevant parts about 1000-1500 words, so it covers just about everything, from me stepping on the shuttle - me losing my mind because of one nightmare - arriving in-system - making our way to the Cerulean, and shooting a few fighters down along the way - and docking with the ship and assuming command.

Also, as promised... out of insanity, another squirrel shall be born.

If your side-storyline is going to be that extensive, Amacuse, please make it a separate CD story. As quickly as this story is moving it's already hard enough for people to keep up without having to sort through that much that isn't relevant to the job at hand.

During a mission the main focus of anyone's character should remain the mission at hand, not CD issues. After all, that is exactly why we have CD stories.

Everyone make careful note of the contents of this post. I need to clear up some issues and clarify where things stand at the moment in regard to the story.

First, the content of two posts has been struck out of the story: the latter 2/3 of Bernie's last post on Page 1 of the story and all of Echelon's post directly after it. Bernies was unaware that his post contradicted orders and the plotline of the story, and Ech was unaware that Bernie's post was incorrect. Neither are being punished or reprimanded, but the mistake is being corrected.

Below is the current overall status of our main units and what they're doing at the moment. All posts should fall within the scope of your unit's task:

Taskforce Aurek: Engaging the Imperial Remnant forces. Drac will arrive on the Warrior soon and will begin engagement with the enemy's main capital ships. In the interim all other members of Aurek should be engaging smaller IR ships.

Taskforce Besh: Engaging the New Republic forces. The Fearless is about to come into range to engage the NR's main capital ships. Trykon's Defiance has been co-opted by VENI agents. Other characters may react to that and comment on it, but are to take no similar action without direct orders to do so. All other members of Besh are to be engaging smaller NR ships.

Shipyard: Defending itself against fighter incursions, for the most part. Available for NPC posting.

IR/NR Fleets: Split between attacking us and attacking each other. Available for NPC posting.

For Fleet Command members: Remember! If you're not at least the XO of your ship, you cannot decide what that ship's main engagement will be. Instead, concentrate on using communications, gunnery, etc, etc to engage smaller ships escorting the main enemy capital ships. JBOs and BOs posting as NPC ship XOs is now disallowed unless your SCAP gives orders otherwise.

In short: Impact the battle how you can from where you can! If everyone was supposed to be making XO level decisions, I would have made all of you XOs! Since I didn't, it should now be clear that you need to operate at the level to which you've been assigned. I know it's tempting to do something big and bold, but ask yourself if what you want to do is realistic for your character. If it isn't, find something that is and do that.

A special note on behalf of Captain Grey: VENI calls on who they want to, when they want to. Do not have your character initiate interaction with them unless they're already directly present and affecting your character. Basically, don't bother with VENI unless I or Grey involve you with them.

I'll have a post up by tonight, but no later than tomorrow night. I liked your asteroid NPC post, Drac, and felt it added something new and unfamiliar.

I'll try to get creative with something in my post. Between Deep's idea and the possibility of posting as a crewman of a decimated ship, this post should be at least the size of my other posts, if not larger.

I might make a post soonish... depends on whether or not I decide to think outside the box or not with that Lancer...

Also... what am I going to do with that shuttle once I get everyone off it?  Hmmm... let's wait and find out what I have planned for it, shall we?

So... What happens to the asterioid? Does it blow up? Does it crash into a ship, or the yards? Can I ram it?
