Story Briefing

Ok everyone, the story has now been moved on to the next phase. Well done to everyone who has been participatin so far.

With Badajoz Station secured, and the odds now being more even against the pirate strike force, the squadrons now have to start safe guarding the civilain ships.

Typhus (the planet Badajoz orbits) is the main hub for the Eastern Territories, and at the end of a major inter-VE hyperspace lane. As such, it has a lot of merchant traffice going through it any one time.

When the Pirate fleet emerged, several squadrons of fighter craft and small boarding ships started attacking these vessels, which caused the space equivelent of a traffice jam.

Our jobs is to enter this area and defeat any pirate forces we may find. Due to the fact that alot of ships have either been destroyed or disbaled, there's alot of floating debris here. Think of it as fighting in an asteroid fields, except the asteroids are ships.

Things to expect:

* Enemy fighters will be flying in and amongst this field, either lying in wait or trying to hunt down any ship that might still be active.

* Enemy boarding craft, either en route to a striken vessel or already attached.

* The merchant vesssels themselves: These people will be in a huge panic. Some will still be working, and so will also be trying to navigate the 'field', others may even have limited weapon capabilities, but since they're being beset on all sides, they may end up firing at you too.

Ignore the fight between the captial ships, and ignore what may or may not be happening elsewhere. This bit is to kept purely within the shipping lanes. No fancy stuff please (unless you seek my permission first.).

As Ibram says keep it tight in the shipping lanes - more dancing and prancing than trying to get a firm lock on anything hostile.

This is a good chance to work together in your respective flights and reflect that in your writing.
