For the rest of us it is of course reports today - so don't forget.
Also waiting to see those new here get a story post up - any doubts about how to do this just give me a shout. Otherwise we should be up to speed as to what is going on.
We can't have a story without participants. It doesn't have to be an essay - 500 words or so about your reaction to the briefing, being on the spacestation, drinking, fighting, sleeping, tinkering with your fighter that sort of thing. Introduce your character to the rest the squadron.
Other than that keep up the good work Vipes.
It's good to have a fullboard of pilots so things can really hot up now.

Hi Vipes.
Got my post up in the end. The mission is kind of started - I wanted to leave it to our returning commanding officer to get things underway but we should all know what to expect.
Just a note to my wing: Skorge I set up our little disagreement, and Stormrider I hope you're ok with the conversation I had us have. Jolinar I hope you're doing ok.
Other than that it's a case of suiting up and shipping out.

I'm doing ok, but things are still chaos here. I left my job at the craft store in favor of one I start paid training for Monday...the new one is full time hours and once my classes are done, I'll be getting $3 more than what I was getting at the craft store. The classes will be from 4 pm to 1 am, and my shift will be from 3:30 pm to midnight Wed through Sun. Once I've gotten settled into my own place I'll be able set up a regular posting schedule. Still don't have a whole lot of downtime atm...most of what I get is snatched during kids' naps and whatnot. FM/SCRW Jolinar/Viper 10/Phoenix Wing/mSSD Atrus/1st Fleet/VEN/VE (=*AE*=)[MC:1]

All right vipes. I'll be working a post for the end of the week which will have us rendezvousing with the convoy. By all means feel free to put a post up dealing with us making are way there. Remember though we're flying low and quiet to avoid detection but its in nice twisty ol' canyons.
So I'd challenge someone to write an exhilarating post about our twist and turns through the canyon. Nice and thrilling please ^_^
Also I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Tinker for all her hard work as flight leader and wish her well. She's still with us in spirit and we'll treat her character with respect until she's able to get back to us, which hopefully will be sooner rather than later ^_-
She's been a tremendous force here in Viper and hopefully we can maintain the atmosphere and attitude she brought to our humble squadron.
Until then, any questions I'm here to field them and of course that means there's a promotion up for grabs so nows the time to impress the higher ranks ^_-

a twist in the story that involves the death of a large portion of the squadron isn't unheard of, quite common actually. after all, it is what we do to the enemies.  To have it done to our side would actually make the stories much more realistic and balanced. the hard part is coming up with the surroundings to make a feasible situation.
i haven't had the opportunity to catch up with viper's current story. But if you'd like, i can help give some possible scenarios provided that someone gives me a summary of the story. -(William the Conquerer)-
