This is just me checking in to see how things are going. I shall be back from my dad's tommorow, thus ending my period of semi-leave.
We'll continue to roll with the story Tinker and Bjork have laid out for us, before moving onto the 'Endgame' portion of Shades of Grey.

Just wanted to outline our upcoming mission.
The official line is that we're on a escort run to rendezvous with a convoy of miners and inform them of their situation. We're a told that they're being led to believe that there is an outside threat in the system and in order to maintain their safety they need to pay for the presence of pirates who are protecting their colony.
The pirates are placing them in this state of alert in order to ensure their help is needed and dry the colony of credits and resources. They have jammed all communication so by us smuggling some of miners off the planet we're be able to reveal the true intent of the pirates presence.
This is of course not the case.
There are no pirates. The pirate force we will encounter is the local mining militia - a left over from their separatist leanings. We're not interested in opening eyes instead we are to hijack the transport which is due to be carrying important resources and by doing so provoke a response from a militia. If we can stir the planet into disarray then we can justify the Vast Empire's presence in order to stabilize and bring order to it.
None of us except our squadron leader, Ibram know of the missions true intent. Though you're allowed to be skeptical of it but save revelations until we're in flight.
Now we'll be required to do some dirty stuff once the mission is underway - but we'll make sure that everyone is correctly prompted during flight so everyone is on the right page.
So feel free to post about your flight preparations - meet the new guys etc.
Either myself, Ibram or Tinker will get the mission started in the next couple of days.
So until then - fly true.

The next morning Zala awoke to hearing an alarm going and a message over the intercom telling all pilots to suit up and stand by at level one battlestations. Meanwhile inside the joint operations room onboard the battlestation the leaders of all the starfighter squadrons were talking about how they were going to handle the currrent situation of an enemy fleet station just of the port side of the battlestation Zala and his wingmates were on. In the meantime Zala and his comrads were talking about how long the whole battlestation was going to be at level one battlestations.
Once the conversation was over between Zala and his wingmates all personel were then ordered to remain on standby until the situation with the enemy fleet still closing in on the battlestation was resolved. Then it just happened to be that the enemy fleet was pulling away from the battlestation probably because they had a mixup of orders or th were just being cowards. Once the enemy fleet had retreated all of the personel onboard the battle station that Zala was currently stationed at were finally given the order to stand down from level one battlestations.
After the scare of being at level one battlestation was finally over all personel onboard the battlestation all thought at once that it was time to go and eat breakfast. The menu for the day was tontong stew which suprisingly tasted quite good for being freezer burnt. After breakfast was over everyone went back to doing their assigned taskes of fixing anything that was broken onboard the station and keeping watch for the enemy from all around them until it was time for the days shift to be over and everyone could go back to their quarters to get some sleep.

The main thing you guys should focus on in your next post is to react to the breifing, did you get a bad feeling? Do you believe everything that was said? Whatever, just react. You should have time to do one activity before the 'morning' which is when we will launch and get into some trouble no doubt.
If you need clairification on the mission itself, PM me or Cali or Ibram and just ask.
But like I said for now, react to the briefing, find something to do (cantina, hanger, card game, gym, simulator, talk or just sleep ) and get ready to head towards the hanger and shove off very soon.
