Hey guys...sorry about my lack of activity. Been trying to collaborate with Cali on our portion of the story. We've both had a hectic week/weekend. The mother of the kids I'm helping care for threw her back out, so I've had to shoulder the majority of the work while she heals from that. Hey thank you ma'am. I have already Complete a wiki page that I will build off of as my career grows here in the VEN. I am gald that a new story will be starting soon to give me the chance to be active. Also I am very skilled in computer graphics and I am very intrest in talking to the commander about making graphics for the Squadron. Hello Kyrios, Welcome to Viper Squadron. I'm Ibram Tyrol, your commanding officer. Just a quick note... I know you've been placed as 1-4, however I'm actually going to have you moved to 3-3 (Viper 11), just to even up the flgihts a bit. That doesn't mean you can't do joint things with Calad or anyone else - the flight dynamic isn't as important in my squadron since it is always in flux (people leaving, people joining). You'll in bjorkfird's flight, so every week you must report to her and myself. As Tinker mentioned, we're going to be starting a new story soon. Tommorow, with any luck, so you'll be able to join in then. In the mean time, feel free to jump into any personal stories that you've been invited to, or start your own. It's essential you practive your writing skills and develop your character. Apart from that, I would like you get on IRC if you can. There are tutorials scattered about the forum as to how to log on, but if you're stuck, just let us know. When you get on IRC, we'll talk about graphics and the like. =====================SQUADRON ANNOUNCEMENT===================== May 27th, 2009All right boys and girls, we have a new story up - Shades of GreyThis story will mark the first in a series of stories that will take Viper squadron to new places, new scenerios and un-explored regions of morality and what is 'right'. (In theory.) Traditionally, the Navy has not teneded to indulge in the 'darker' side of things, unlike our ground-based cousins over in the army. Since the squadron is under going a 're-branding' (forgive me Jap, for using marketing terms), I felt it would be an interesting area to explore both in terms of character development, and diversity in stories. Should at any time you feel uncomfortable with anything, please let me know, and I can either help you through it or adapt the story. Obviously, since this a family friendly place, I'm not going to go beyond PG-13, but that disclaimer is there anyway. Squadron Re-BrandingThis will be done through an ad hoc competition. Only members of the squadron can participate, and there will be a number of areas that one can enter for: Motto - The squadron's tagline or phrase that defines them. This motto should reflect the new direction we are going in, be serious (:P), and not too long. Logo - This should be a square graphic that will be our new 'emblem'. Banner - May or may not be linked to the logo. This will be a larger, longer graphic that will contain either the logo, the motto, both or neither, but will have the words 'Viper Squadron'. Again, think of what our new theme is going to be. Note: Try to avoid snakes or anything obvious connected to the word 'Viper', and make sure you don't do anything that is in use by Nazgul, e.g. reapers. **ALL ENTRIES TO BE SUBMITTED TO ME VIA PM** The winning entries will be displayed here, and prizes will be given out. The only judge you have to please is me.

Ok - new mission.
I will open up the story again later today. There will be the usual round of C/D, however I promise it won't last as long as in the previous story.
I will post the squadron briefing post within the next few days, and at the weekend I'll move us on towards our base of operations - Badejoz space station in the Typhus system.
In the mean time, just get used to the changes, get to know the new people... please, no reffering to the fact that there's something off about this mission, or that I'm hiding something - you won't know any of that yet.
Once I get my PC up and running, I will start posting up maps and other supporting media for you. If you wish to do any background information, feel free to ask me, as there's nothing concrete written down about the eastern territories.
The true nature of the mission will be revealed as we go along, so don't worry about being kept in the dark for too long.

That's a good point actually - a reminder of the procedure.
You send your reports into your flight leader, and myself every Friday (Or Saturday).
It used to be that you would send in a report to the XO as well, but I cut out that section for conveniance sake, and we don't have an XO right now anyway.
Calad, Kyrios, I want to see some posts up from you two sometime soon please - I did go to extra effort to get a new story done ASAP so you two wouldn't hang around.
