Hi, hi, actually have a spare bit of time.
This is just an personal introduction for Aeos, as well as to shed some light for the Navy members on her life. Shaz, not sure exactly what you wanted answered in that question, but I tried to answer it

The lines of recruits standing in front of the Naval Academy seemed intimidating by the sheer discipline they portrayed in perfect alignment. Each one in the same attire, equal to one another as strangers and recruits. Except the young female who stood in the front row, to the far left end of the it. Her attire immediately brought the Army to mind, and indeed that is where she stemmed from.

Aeos saluted as the recruits were dismissed and they all scattered away from each other like a nest of ants broken apart of or a sack of marbles dropped from the hands. She  glanced timidly around, slightly awkward and very much aware of how much she differed from the usual Crewman.

Suddenly a collection of fingers clamped themselves across her face, covering her eyes. Unfortunately the owner of those eyes failed to realize that his sister could recognize his scent as well his large hands from anywhere in the galaxy.

"Radge, down boy,"
Sighing dejectedly at how easily his baby sister recognized him, he did as Aeos ordered.
Aeos spun around to face her brother. They haven't seen other in the physical universe for almost two years. They talked often to each other, and would see each other on their holograms, but it still wasn't the same as seeing each other now.

"I missed you,"  she simply said, her arms hanging limply at her side. Radge grinned lopsidedly and grabbed her by her shoulders before pulling her close to him.

"Imagine my surprise when I heard from the Commander that the special case was you, I'm your escort, guide, and whatever you want to call it,"
Aeos pulled away to study her brother up close.

In his early teen years, he came off somewhat lanky and tall, but since he joined the Navy he has grown quite sideways. She would call him almost burly, but luckily he hasn't reached that state of form yet or else he wouldn't fit into his cockpit. His usually unruly black hair has given way to a neat militaristic cut, but his sky blue eyes still had that same cocky spirit.

It seems the Navy has done away with his lax fashion of dressing, because his uniform appeared neat and ironed, with all the right buttons in place. The few medals he had spoke of bravery and courage, while the rank insignia showed of his dedication and loyalty towards the Vast Empire.

Radge was also studying his sibling, but where Aeos found her self pleased, he found himself slightly shocked.  Why did he never notice these changes when they spoke and viewed each other on the Holograms?

She was born with dark blond hair, but in the past few months it seems to have given way to brown, and he could actually call his sister a brunette. Her azure eyes, also sky blue was so much more intense then he remembered them from back home, so much more focused, alarmed, and pained.  Her rosy cheeks were pale, and he remembered her being much more chubby in stature.

He noticed the two medals pinned at her chest, and the not-so-aspiring rank insignia. A few months ago, she was a Squad Leader, moving fast and quickly through the ranks, but something happened.

"You never really told me, why they demoted you," his eyes narrowed as Aeos sighed.
"It was a lousy mistake, let's not talk about it," she replied softly letting her gaze fall to the neatly tiled floors. Radge gripped her chin softly with his one hand and redirected her gaze back to his.

"What are you really doing here Aeos?"

Aeos started out in the Army as Private, but she quickly made her way through the Rank scale, and eventually ended up as a Senior Sergeant Squad Leader. She was demoted to Sergeant, and stripped of a two medals. According to her Enlistment History, it was because of a weak display of  leadership in a mission that failed under her guidance. She breeched the Code of Conduct when she assaulted one her troopers. Reason, still unknown.

Since those particular events she was transferred from one squad to the other, before resigning herself to the role of an Advisor, something that was out of character for her. It is a dull job, filled with paperwork mostly because her superior officers are a bit scared of what would happened if they assigned her to something serious, which brought her Army Career to an staggering halt.

When she questioned their motives, she was answered, that it was due to her being under qualified. Now, Aeos is doing everything she can to meet up with their specifications.

Why would a character, presuming that your character is also in the higher echelons and out of active duty, be required or allowed to take Naval fighter training?

*It never hurts to learn something new, especially something as radical as flying.

*She has the time on her hands to actually do something like this.

*She wants to assist the Navy if they are need of fighters due her semi-active status in the Army.

*At the moment Aeos is specializing in Heavy Weapons for the Army, and the ability to fly fighter craft would at times prove to be a good Fire Support tactic giving whoever is needing it a good advantage.

*In personal stories, it is an drag to rely on a NPC Pilot

*The Naval Academy would be able to give her a good basic layout of all fighter crafts as well as other flying crafts.

*Aeos is interested in all working systems of the Vast Empire, despite hating it.
And despite hating the Empire, Aeos is hoping to become an Elite Server of valuable assets for the Vast Empire.

I'm just glad you are here. You know my condition and I am trying to post as much as possible before I have to go for chemo on the 21st. But I have a solution to that this time. they always have an open computer at the end of the hall unless some nurse is trying to use it silently. I'm going to tell them that I have to check in every day or nite while I am there. Iv'e gotten to know them pretty well so I should be cool.

Still, we can use all the good people we can get. Your profile was great. I personally hope you get assigned to the Kaph. But, I don't make those decisions. Once again, I'm glad you have decided to rejoin the Navy Gemini. Guess I'll see you in the VEN.

Barrel roll.
In order to avoid flying to fast into enemy fire while overtaking it, the barrel roll is administrated or the other way round to make the enemy over shoot you. By plunging the nose of your craft and spiralling it on the axis before pulling up and then repeat the process while moving in a forward position.

Disadvantages: Its easily predictable since its such a simple manoeuvre to administrate. Because of its simplicity many fighters might make the mistake of overestimating it and could risk losing control of their craft.
Advantages: Easy way to make your enemy overshoot.

Spiral dive
When trying to shake an off an enemy administrate the Spiral dive when he moves to the side of your tail, plunge your craft down sharply which for a second causes him to overshoot and lose his target. Administrate a barrel roll as you plunge down but be careful not to stay to long in the roll as the enemy might quickly regain his target. End the dive by pulling up sharply while reducing speed, which could land you on your enemy's tail.
Disadvantages: If your craft does not possess a good manoeuvrability, it will not be capable of administrating the sharp pitches and turns.
Advantages: Easy way to turn the tides of an battle by means of making your enemy overshoot or 'over gain' your position thus landing in your fire line.

Technically- the proficiencies could just as easily apply to her.  In the army you have 'specialties'- so you're bound to be very good at something. That makes sense.  Furthermore, you're on the ground so having some background in the other forms of ground combat are necessary.  However, just because these people know of them and are capable does not make them good at it.  She's going to be far, far better at her specialty than any of those other skills- that's just kind of how it works.  Thus, the main idea of the proficiencies, making comparisons between skills so that that they could be further referenced with other characters, is still at work.  Really, if she feels that the proficiencies don't apply as she would like or at least not as far- then I've left it up to her discretion to allocate her points as she desires.  My main hope was that she didn't go crazy and call herself in expert in every single one.  I'd say she's been more than modest

Now that you've done these- would you like to show us a little RP with Aeos, maybe set the stage for her entry into a squadron?  I'm going to say that putting you in Nazgul is pretty definite, for now, but based on numbers and what not- that could change.  As soon as the next story gets up, you're going to be joining a group.  So- taking a little time to make yourself comfortable with this transition for Aeos might be good.  Lemme know if you had other ideas, but otherwise- get at it
