You see, LucasArts wants this movie to happen, but they see this as a way to save money. Since they didn't higher [i]anyone[/i] who is part of this movie, they get to save their money. But since they have ownership of everything Star Wars, it's kind of illegal to make money from the movie.

Well, if you look at the website, die hard fan look alikes do. They even hired some of LucasArt's road crew actors: the guy who plays Chewie for them at conventions will be playing Chewie. Of course, he has to be in his own costume because he dan't wear anything owned by LucaArts.

Mm, continuing on with off topic, I prefer the original trilogy with its block models and toy starships as opposed to the mass CGI of the new trilogy. The recent movies have sort of gone overboard with effects.

Could be worse.  We could go back to making Batman movies with molded plastic nipples.  Honestly, nipples! What the hell kind of fetish did the director have where he felt the need to go to his costume director and said "Yes, make sure you include little plastic nipples to the costumes."  And then the costumes disappear after shooting and end up in his personal collection somewhere.  Creeeeeepy.

It's strange though, because I'm planning to go into movie making, and yet when I see some of the stuff done, I'm worried about what's going through the minds of these people.  There was a discussion between Brian Singer and the costume director during the making of Superman Returns regarding the crotch.  They didn't want the actor to appear too well endowed, so instead they had to pad the thing.  This had to be brought to the attention of the director!

To be honest I'm worried about this, because here we've gone from talking about Star Wars to the costumes in superhero movies.  We are all going to Hell aren't we?  I figure we are.  I'm going to go see if SR is playing anywhere. 

Right, like the wookiee having no pants.

The thing I hated most about Revenge of the Sith was that they were too lazy to make costumes for the clones. Instead, they animated the bodies and put real heads on them. I noticed a part in the movie where a clone with no helmet has its actor's head float right off!

I prefure the original movies....Awesome effects, no blinding CGI, and no whiny ass Anikin :P

And I`m pretty damn proud that this new movie is being shot and produced out of, get this, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Students at NAIT if I remember correctly.

To respond to you, RK, the part is when they are on that planet, which I don't remember the name lol. It's the one where Obi-Wan is riding the giant lizard.

Just before the Emperor gives the code to the clones, there is a short scene with a lot of soldiers on the ground. A few of them have no helmets and if you look close, a clone on the right has his head float a bit off his animated body.

That's about as close to a description as I can get lol.

What really makes me laugh is the technology. In episodes 1-3 they have all these shiny ships which look really powerful and fast (and pretty).

And then in episodes 4-6, they all look old and dull.

What happeend to the shipd esigners in the star wars world?

In a way, Mykill, we're somewhat doing that already. Our timeline currently places us in the Thrawn Era, approximately 10-12 years after the events of RotJ. Our current campaign is to head deeper into the Core and retake Coruscant (more progress on this in Chapter 9).

Although it would've been pretty sweet if Lucas went so far into the movies as to let us see the Yuuzhan Vong invasion.
