(Damn browser crash when doing checking out reference info. Didn't feel like writing this all over again last night.)

Alright, here's the deal.  Judging by recent storylines and conversations, many of you know the movies, the games, and not much else about Star Wars. Which is fine, we don't expect you all to be fully submerged in the culture, but it does make certain things harder.

One of those is continuity and in knowing how events affect our storylines and vice versa.  Seeing as we're now looking to veer off of the established continuity a bit, let me bring you up to speed on what has gone on so we can work with an around it.

First off, the Battle of Endor. Established chronologies put this at 4 years after the Battle of Yavin (or 4 ABY to use the terminology in play). Here are the high and low points of the battle.

After the loss of Grand Admiral Teshik's star destroyer, Captain Pellaeon of the Chimaera sounds a general retreat and regroup for the fleet. This decision, and the loss of the Emperor, leads to various rifts and the creation of the following factions:

- Admiral Harrsk, takes one Endor task force to the Deep Core to secure the Imperial safeworlds

- Admiral Teradoc creates his own piece of the Empire in the Mid-Rim

- Admiral Gaen Drommel takes over his sector, in command of the SSD Guardian

- Grand Moff Ardus Kaine, who succeeded Tarkin, creates the Pentastar Alignment, nominally in the Outer Rim

- "Superior General" Delvardus claims much of the Rimma Trade Route

- Grand Admirals Grunger and Pitta both claim the Corellian sector

- Admiral Zsinj takes over the Quelli sector

- Sate Pestage -  and increasingly Ysanne Isard - rule much of the remaining Empire from Coruscant

- Truce at Bakura campaign pitting a combined Rebellion/Imperial fleet against the Ssi-ruuvi

5 ABY

- Central Committee of Grand Moffs moves against Isard. Internal struggles and NR efforts derail the plot.

6 ABY

- Grand Admiral Syn killed at Kashyyyk. Grand Admirals Grunger and Pitta kill each other in infighting in Corellian system.

6.5-7 ABY

- Coruscant falls to the New Republic, Isard unleashes the anti-alien Krytos Plague

7 ABY

- Bacta War; Isard, driven from Coruscant, takes over the bacta supply at Thyferra. NR eventually defeats her and believes her dead

8 ABY

Warlord Zsinj preys on NR fears and sends brainwashed aliens to key NR leaders to disrupt multicultural make of NR. Escapes after NR invades his territories. Is eventually killed over Dathomir.

8.5 ABY

The loss of Zsinj creates a land grab by Imperial leaders Admiral Rogriss and Warlord Teradoc, who both quickly lose their gains to the New Republic. Both NR and Imperial fleets are diminished by years of constant fighting.

9 ABY

Advent of Thrawn. Most loyalist Imperial have thrown in with the Grand Admiral. Warlords such as Admiral Krennel and Grand Moff Kaine are left out of the reconstituted Empire.

To date, Thrawn has had the following campaigns

- Battle of Obroa-skai
- Raid on Nkllon
- Katana Fleet; Thrawn captures just slightly more than half the fleet of ships.

This leaves him weaker than official chronology states. NR agents, including Solo, Skywalker, and Calrissian slave 80 ships and send them into a sun to avoid their being captured by Thrawn. Of the original 200, he retains 104, the New Republic capture 15, rather than the 184 he officially captured. One Dreadnaught destroys a Thrawn star destroyer.

This is where we are to date. Thrawn is forcing the NR into retreat on many fronts, but his resources are stretched.  Without additional Imperial backing, he will not be able to advance.

Upcoming are the Seige of Coruscant and the confrontation at Wayland.

The warlords, marginalized, are currently sitting out the campaign. Admiral Krennel's Ciutric Hegemony has rebulit from earlier setbacks. The Deep Core warlords, including Harsrk and Delvardus are not currently committed to the campaign. Isard remains unaccounted for. There is a lot of Empire left to string together, if they can stop shooting at each other long enough to do so.

That said, there are likely a few roads we are not taking. I imagine, from talks with Talon, that the Dark Empire timeline won't occur in our's. No cloned emperors, or clones of said clone. No Kevin J. Anderson superweapons of the week or Hutt superlasers.  Some of these things are just plain impractical if nothing else.

We, the VE, are on the fringes of space with a nice finger of conquests heading Coreward. We have NR in front of us, warlords on one side, pirates and Thrawnist Imps on the other. Our trade lanes are preyed on by pirates and rogue Imperials.

We have a lot of independent worlds for the taking and some NR conquests to make. We can also fight a couple Imperial factions if the story requires it.

Squad leaders, I will post in the next couple days concerning my thoughts on planets and campaigns you may wish to run either with your squad or with others.  That way, you can help advance the Corps plot without just having random chance encounters.

Part of the problem lies in figuring out how much info to give new troopers. I'd rather have them figure out how to work in a squad, then develop their knowledge base down the line.

There's a happy medium somewhere, we just have to find it.

very good maybe it might be worth mentioning outbound flight seeing as there are a few refrences in the books.

The only thing I imagine we will be keeping from the Daala series is the establishment of the Jedi Temple on Yavin and the reconstruction of the Jedi Order. But that falls solely under the discretion of Talon, since all things Force related are his jurisdiction. Nothing else really important happened during that series.

Which mean Raigen was born at the beginning of 6BBY. Which means Raigen could never have been enlslaved at stars end. Ill have to fix that. Also, Raigen started traveling the galaxy during the destruction of the death star and  That means his father was of the first Imperial Pilots after the clonewars.... sweet....heritage. We are the second generation of Tie Pilots!

We're somewhat hostile to Thrawn, more of hostile/neutral.

As for planets, I most would be neutral, unless they are directly within the New Republic, or we have taken recent military action against them.  At least that's my guess.

Find Moorja and look towards the core. I dunno exactly what planets have been taken, but as Snipes said, that's where our "finger" is.
