Okay, as you guys can obviously see, the story is going to end in a few posts. I'm writing my post right now. I just wanted to say a few things.
The loss of lancer is sad, but we must go on. I myself started my career in lancer - I new a noob then, and I've learned alot. We've had a good run, but now we're needed to help the others. I feel upset about this, as I'm sure you all do. But we don't need to hate eachother, because this anger will achieve nothing. Instead, we should enjoy these last moments, and be happy we had the times that we did. So go forwards, stay active, and be proud, knowing that you were chosen to do this great thing -----------------------

Garret, quit whining, this isn't the end of the world and this isn't the first squad to close its doors, maybe if you work hard sometime you'll be able to have lancer reopened. One of the squads had to go, volunteering is much better than being axed. Slick made the tough decision and volunteered his squad, do you realize that its entirely possible he won't have the opportunity to lead another squad for a long time and that this is and was the first squad he lead, don't think the decision came easy, i doubt that he was any less attached to this squad than any of you, possibly moreso. And having your squad disbanded is one of the better ways to leave it, some people get kicked out of thier first squad by people they thought were thier friends. You'll find new homes and who knows you may like being in one of the older more eccentric squads.

Just for clarification, I'm not mad at anyone, I'm not trying to start fights, I'm just disappointed in Slick's decision. I've taken everything into consideration, I've talked with people about it, and I've seen different options.
Snipes, I obviously feel bad for everyone's loss here, but if Slick wanted to stay a SL that badly he shouldn't have volunteered us.
Oh, and I think being kicked out would have been better. At least that way I wouldn't be so inclined to stay. Again, I'll accept this, but I don't agree with it. -----------------------

Seems I should say something, but I'm not that great at speeches...
First off I wanted to address Garet. I perfectly understand why you're upset, and I hold nothing against you for it. If you harbor ill feelings towards me then that is your right. It was not an easy decision, and one I hated to make. A squad was needed to help out the Army, as you all knew. After a long period of debate I decided that it should be us. We all have our great strengths, and with those we can help out the Army. That might not mean much to you, but it fills me with pride. At heart you're a Lancer, and this will always be your home, as Wraith is to me. All I can say is that I made the decision I thought best, and if you resent me for that... then that's fine. I understand.
As for the rest of the squad. It's hard for me to do this. You all were the first one's I ever commanded, and it has been a great experience. I hold feelings for each, and every one of you. I know you all on a personal basis, and I hate to see us go our seperate ways. I made the hardest decision I ever have as your squad leader, but I think I made the best one. I stick by my decision. I hope that you all still consider my a friend, comrade, and commander. That's all I have. I thank you, and here is my finish.

Slick, I was never mad at you, just at your decision/whatever reasoning you had behind it. It takes courage to make a call like that, and even though some people don't like it one bit, you still made it. For that, I can't disrespect you: in fact, if I was an SL I wouldn't even be able to make that call. You saw the greater good out of it rather than the lesser.
Just wanted to let you know, there aren't any bad feelings towards any one coming out of this.
Oh, and Slick, do you think you could post on the Competition (at least for the Lancers) so we could get things going? It would be a big help.

I guess it was a possibility from the start that someone would have to make a sacrifice. Over-all I think that it will be Lancer Squadron that prevails in the understanding of life, and it will instill a lesson that will always be reminded within us all.
It saddens me that I was unfortunate to be here during Lancers Glory. -----------------------
