Raigen, how long you plan on sticking around? Thought you had to go on leave until may at like the middle of october.

I'm coming back. I've informed SHaz and Dar where I was. I didn't mention to them why I have been gone the past few days, though they probably figured it out. Basically, I had surgery last Friday and have been recovering ever since. I am still in recovery, so I probably won't be too active until the end of the week and such. Sorry for not being here to be active guys. On a side note, any of you ever had Sinus surgery? It's hell.

Whoa- scratch that command by Jaden- we're going to enter the new folks into the story.  Trevor, you've received the results from the SA and you've been granted your MCPO rank

Flight One Plot:

Amason, one of our newest friends, shows up because he was called in as an impartial judge that wouldn't make court marshalling a decent commander dramatic, and could keep things cool with the captain of this ship.  He shows up, unfortunetly, in the middle of this battle and unless he wants to get blown away, has to fight alongside us.  Jaden, throughout all of this, is going to give him hints that Shazam is a great guy and it was only wise for him to do what he did and that none of this is his fault for going through enemy territory.  In the meantime, Shazam is kind of brushing it off and just trying to keep the group alive as they take on this cluster of fighters and incessant gunships. 

Together they work out a plan to take the missiles launched by the X-wings out in front of the Faseo- head on   Now, they're dummy missiles so they shouldn't lock on to any of us as we approach, but it is possible that they could change director if one of them actually targetted the Strike Cruiser- and "blowing up hurts..."  After we've done that, that is dealt with as many missiles from the first wave as possible, we're going to jump into the dogfight with the X-wings to keep them from making another run and scattering thier forces.  Furthermore, Darius and his group need to do what they can to fend off the remaining A-wings on thier own while further help arrives.  That's where Cail is going to come in: direct her to exit the hanger right into the middle of the fray- the As are basically smothering the Faseo so its not a question of how long it'll take her to get into the battle- its just a battle.  Either way, Dar needs to establish how he's going to help take out some of these fighters.

Group Goal:  One volley of torpedos should be enough to scare us stupid- unfortunetly the damage is done and some of our systems are going haywiring, momentarilly sending us on a path toward Messari.  Once in atmosphere, we are pursued by the gunships and what few enemy fighters remain.  As was noted earlier, whisps of white gas that are highly flammable linger in the atmosphere- this is the mining potential of the planet.  When we stumble through one of these clouds, the engine's heated exhaust and constant cannon fire ignite one of the sets, setting off a ring of fire that would envelope the pursuing gunboats. 

What happens from here?  Unfortunetly we lose- the Faseo can't stand up to an MC40 and live to tell about it.  Since the MC40 was staying back so far, we're clear to jump to hyperspace once we get control of the Faseo. 

Objectives  I still need a report on plot or side story that Flights Two and Three can use in this story.  I'd like a report from FLs as soon as possible- and do be creative.  Feel free to take some liberties here   Enjoy!  Also, Dar- you'll want to get in contact with Cail right away to make sure she understands what's going on and is aware of the new orders.  See if you can't get her on IRC or MSN to work something out.

I'd like to offer a suggestion if I may, concerning the latest fiction, and others.  I've noticed some spelling and gramatical errors, words left out, etc... Not alot, but some nonetheless.    I'm by no means saying that I'm perfect myself, but I wanted to share a proof reading method that I've been using for years, on everything from fictions to resume's to college term papers.  It's very simple, and most never give it any thought, but it's highly effective. 

Read your post/story backwards.  Start at the bottom, and read the last sentence, then the one before that, etc...  You don't actually read each sentence backwards, you just reverse the order of the sentences within the paragraph.  It also helps to read out loud, even if it you do it quietly.

Instead of reading each sentence as part of a larger group or paragraph, where they all seem to run together as part of the story, you read each one like it is a stand alone sentence, which seems to bring out the details and errors with a bit less effort than reading the paragraph/story from top to bottom.

I hope this makes sense.    Also, please keep in mind that I'm not criticizing anyone.  I make errors like everyone else, but this method helps me drastically cut down on the number of errors I leave in sentences/paragraphs.
