(OOC: Jack, weren't you being pulled in by that tractor beam?  Whatever....(OOC)

Laguna slammed his throttle full, tailing one of the y-wings, as he heard Jacks voice calling them in.  He put a few shots into the Y-wing, disabling its shields.

"Jack, I'll finish off this Y-wing, don't wait up for me," said Laguna

"Make it quick," called back Jack.  "We need to escort Beta."

Laguna fishtailed his interceptor, spinning to the right as the Y-wing tried to out-run him.  The bomber was much slower than his, giving him the advantage of catching up quickly.  The bomber was just an open target, trying to make its run for the Overlord.  Laguna fired 5 more blasts, damaging the Y-wings hull heavily.  The Y-wing broke hard to the left, trying to evade Laguna once more.  Laguna laughed to himself.  What kind of pilots did they have?  You put someone like that in one of their bombers, that deathtrap, and they are dead when the likes of us come up against him.  Laguna let off 3 more bolts, ripping throught the rectangular cockpit of the long bomber.  Seconds later, the Y-wing was in pieces, and the pilots life ended.

Laguna turned his direction to where his flight was, protecting our bombers who were on their run.  The throttle whirred even more as the speed of the tie interceptor came to its peak of speed.  Laguna spotted his flight flying behind the group of bombers, watching over them.  A group of X-wings came out of the corner of his eyes.

"Guys, Your Six!" Laguna yelled

Right, Shazam thought to himself, a wave of relief flooding through him; Jack seemed to be in pretty okay condition as well, so he wouldn't have to drop out to get a new ship.

"Guys!  Your Six!" Laguna shouted through the com in haste.

"Guys, break!" Shazam said as an array of fire burst into the darkness, flashes of red covered the side of Page, the little radar in the center bleeping ecstatically, dots suddenly covered the little monitor.  Jack barrelled left while Shazam went right, Owoemana and Dirk suddenly formed into a pair and Judith on Laguna's side, the group seemed to really like jumping into the wingman formation...

Three X-wings, full shields, full after-burners had been heading at them from about a klick away so the radar didn't have much time to pick it up.  The trio passed in between the now split, but regrouping squadron of Nazgul.  Shazam suddenly spiralled back into firing range of the X-wings, not to fire, but to pursue.

What amazed Shazam was the amount of fighter activity in this single battle, maybe one of the largest Shazam had seen in open space.  He hadn't taken notice before, but not only were the fighters attacking, but so were the actual cruisers that dispatched the fighters.  The mon-calamari seemed to be picking up speed and was heading their way, no doubt going to engange one of the bombed imperial frigates.  Shazam only looked around for about two seconds before he almost had a collision with a spiralling Tie fighter, the solar panels completly gone and the wings in quick flickering flames that died the moment they were created.  Jack managed to find his way behind Shazam and pushed the throttle to full while Dirk and Owoemana raced to find a better angle to engage them at.

Shazam was only at about seventy-five percent throttle, keeping a watchful eye on the X-wings, and attempting to figure out where Laguna and Judith went to.  The X-wings started to run though and Shazam decided to push the throttle, he hated that...  Hit and run techniques were frowned upon in the Rebellion, he thought...  Oh well, we'll give them what they des...

"Nazgul Squadron, missle breaks!  Move, move!" a voice said urgently.  Everyone broke off from thier targets danced around in space as the blue haloed missles flew around, following each of them.  Good lord, Shazam thought, where did those even come from?  Shazam switched the thrusters around with one hand, attempting to pull up as hard as possible without running into the upcoming ship.  Enemy Ship!  Shazam rolled at full afterburner, his ship at a slight angle and almost out of control; the cannons of the enemy craft came alive with blue bolts shattering the silent eternity.  Shazam gasped for breath as he attempted to regain control of his craft and dodge whatever fire was coming at him.

"Missle Alert!" warned the computer system in a callous tone, so insensitive to his multitasking...  Shazam finally managed to straighten out his ship and had both hands back on the controls after diverting some more energy to the engines and to the front shields; if he got hit from the back, it would be by the missle and it would be pretty devestating, so might as well protect from the onboard cannons that would fire mercelessly at him if they had the chance.

Shazam s-curved indignatly, still approaching the enemy ship, not sure what it was because he wasn't really trying to figure out, mostly just looking down at the display which showed the path of the missle which was following him so relentlessly.  Without even realizing it though, he was upon the opponet craft, just above the surface of the top, a couple of cannons firing at him, but to no avail, just a little too fast for them, oh yes, he should pride himself on that, he thought to himself continuing to swerve like a drunk to keep some slack on the missle.  My goodness, this thing just doesn't give he thought, dodging inbetween some towers that rose up about seven feet off the face of the ship.  Although it had only taken a few moments to cross the entirety of the ship, it seemed like an eternity full of absolutly imparitive decisions.

Jack was watching from above, flying a pretty steady course, having avoided his missle by running it into the side of the same enemy freighter Shazam was scurrying around.  Sparks were filling the area of nothingness with dazzle, colorful explosions continued to go off as the oxygen was sucked out along with a few members of the ship who were sittin the room holding some supplies.  Shazam suddenly dived under the edge of the ship, reaching the bottom and reversing his direction so that the missle flew harmlessly by, straight ahead.  The throttle was back at one-hundred percent, and Shazam couldn't help but think that he was abusing his ship although it had really never been used in a serious battle, it was in fine condition.

The blue missle seemed to have lost its target and instead switched targets, some kind of smart missle, Shazam thought to himself.  "Nazgul Squadron, report in!"  he shouted quickly into the com, pursing the missle as it changed course to one of the stardestroyers.  The blazing blue light rolled and juked in and out of the way of ships or random debris that seemed to be floating everywhere now.  A half an hour and there had probably already been around two hundred deaths; the Ties weren't taking as many casualties because they were able to gain control of thier attacking opponet.  Never the less, within the many bridges of the Vast Empire Navy, lights that represented the various flights and fighters currently presenting themselves to pure devestation that was war, were going out several at a time.

Finally managing to catch up to the missle as it began to slow down to maintain accuracy in hitting its target, Shazam made sure to keep a little distance before letting off a round of fire that came in precise contact with the missle just before it reached the underbelly shield generator of a nearby stardestroyer.

More fighters!  Shazam pulled up and stopped himself upside down to face two incoming X-wings, one met the combined force of Page's cannons hitting it full in the shieldless front end.  "Where are you guys?"  he said as shrapnel rained from above...

(OOC: I like this (:OOC)

Laguna twisted and turned as the blue proton torpedoe stayed on his tail like a nerf on bait.  Laguna sacrificed everything except his lasers into his engines, and gained a litte more speed.

"This is Nazgul 2-3, reporting in.  This missle is not letting off very easily!"

"Bring it around to me, I'll try and shoot it down," said Shazam.

"Alright"

Laguna whipped his fighter around in a new direction, towards his squadron commander Shazam's fighter, which he identified as Page.  The fighter was red, and looked nothing like an imperial fighter, something that was customized to its full limites.  The fighter flew in circles, waiting for Laguna to bring his fighter around.  The missle felt like it was gaining on Laguna, so he tried his best to keep it off of him.

As he was bringing the fighter around in an arc, an x-wing came in, adjacent to his fighter.  Laguna could actually see the pilot.  He was grinning through his orange/yellowish shield.  Laguna slowed his throttle down, inch by inch on the throttle meter.  The missle was catching up faster than Laguna thought.  The x-wing stayed on its path, right beside the x-wing on his right side.  The x-wing slowed down to stay on course with Laguna.  Just as the missle was about to catch up to his interceptor, Laguna slammed his throttle forward, and shot forward.  He turned to the right, just after passing the nose of the modified snubfighter.  The missle collided with the side of the x-wing, ripping the whole left side off of the fighter.  The pilot was sucked into the space, and immediately frozen.  He was held in by the resperator that was attached to his flight suit.  The x-wing continued its course, heading straight for the large cruiser, the interdictor.  Laguna looked back over, just as the x-wing smashed into the hull of the interdictor, hindering its shield power.  Laguna checked his targeting computer.  The interdictor had no shields.  Guess our torpedoes really cut into that cruiser

Laguna looked over his shoulder, and TIE bomber group beta firing their torpedos at the cruiser.  The missle crawled towards the massive cruiser slowly, and finally collided with it.  The numbers slowly decreased on the screen infront of him, and the whole interdictor started to explode.  Combustion was seen all the way across the large deck of the cruiser.  After the explosions stopped, silence could be heard throughout space.  It kind of hurt Laguna's ears, the silence.  It was broke by a massive explosion fron the cruiser as it seperated in two.  A shockwave shook Laguna's fighter.

Laguna brough his fighter around closer to the now destroyed interdictor.  He spotted rebel staff floating around in space, and a few fighters that didn't have the chance to make it out of the hanger.  His peice was broke by the turbo-lazer fire from the Mon Calamari that was defending the Interdictor.  Laguna tried to break from the fire, but was boxed in by a group of A-wings.  He tried increasing his throttle, but it was being cut down as his systems were failing.  He guided his fighter towards the defending Mon Calamari.

Shazam and Jack came out of nowhere, providing cover fire for Laguna.  The A-wings scrambled, and seperated from their attack on Laguna's fighter.  Laguna pulled the fighter to the right, away from the Mon Calamari's turbo-lasers.  He slammed his throttle gauge all the way forward, but nothing happened....

Jack was busy covering Laguna when a voice from his past haunted him. "Jack, don't let you feelings for your fellow squadronmates and family get in the way of a mission," Jack's dad had told him via comlink. "If they do, the mission is doomed."

Those were the last words that Zaxdis Nebulax ever said to his first son.

He pushed the engines so that an escaping A-Wing would soon be in his sight. But before he could fire, a small enemy blimp appeared behind him. "Blast it," Jack said. "X-Wing, straight on my tail."

Shazam's voice broke through to him. "Jack, you need help with that X-Wing?"

"No thanks," Jack said. "I'll have some fun with it. I've upgraded my fighter for a tricky flight patern that I learned back at the Space Academy."

With a flick of a switch, Jack's TIE Aggressor lost all its power.

"Jack!" Dirk yelled in Basic. "What's wrong?"

Before he could reply, his comm shut off. As the A-Wing rounded off to strike Nebulax along with the X-Wing behind him, Jack waited. "Three, two, one..." Jack counted to himself as the engines roared to life as the craft shot upward. The enemy fighters, who had shot at Nebulax a split-second before he shot up, had shot each other. The A-Wing's double-lasers and the X-Wing's quad-lasers shot into each other's cockpits. Not one of them would live to tell that tale.

"Jack, nice one!" Owoemana yelled.

"Yeah, way to go!" Judith said.

"Nazgul Squadron, form up in formation," Shazam's voice began. "It's time we blow some large cruisers up."

While Nazgul was busy destoying the two Interdictors, Kaph moved in on the third cruiser. Lead Will, Flight 2 flew straight twards the target.

"What you guys say we go and take out that cruiser off to the right of the other two? It doesn't seem to be doing anything but sending more and more flighters to help the other two. Lets go take it out, and give Nazgul a hand."

"Sure. Whatever you say, boss." The cruiser was doing nothing indeed. It doesn't even seem to be moving much. and neither is it joining the battle between Nazgul and the other two Rebel cruisers. Seems to be a bit odd. "Alright, Kaph 2, We're going to make an attack run on the cruiser that is to the right of the other two cruisers."

"x-wings and y-wings straight ahead." Will said calmly. "Let break into teams.Earth, and Stormz, get into formation of two, and i'll join Kam to form two teams. Split when i tell you to, not yet."

The four TIEs flew directly at the incoming fighters, until they almost went into range. "Break!" Will said excitedly. and did a barrle row to the right and below with Kam, and then flew up, did a small u-turn and slid into positon behind the group of 3 y-wings. Will's ship was a bit quicker than Kam's interceptor, so right when he lined up with the y-wing on the right, he fired a series of shots into the back of the enemy's engine, which exploded instantly. The other two saw that they were no longer the attcking ones, tried to loose the TIEs on their tails by trying to out excellerate them while manuvering the  ships left and right trying to avoid anymore shots from the TIEs. after a while of unsuceesful dedges, they tried to split in two different directions, but found Will coming up along side the ship on the right. The rebel found that there was no way out to the right, slowly cut his trottle a little and made a sharp turn to the left, his wings barely missing the other y-wing. But he never made it out from behind his friend, for Kam had lined up with the y-wing on the left, linked his cannons, and fired 5 shots that went twards the enemy fighter. The unexpected turn from the y-wing had caught Kam off-guard. the shots instead of contacting with his target, had hit the turing y-wing right in the mid-ship. The explosion over heated the remaining y-wing's engine, and it too exploded into a fireball.

"Mayday! Mayday!" came through the intercom as Will and Kam saw two ships rolling twards them. The w-wing was having sparks coming out of its engine, and the Interceptor didn't seem to be damged. Appearently, the x-wing was shot, and went out of control, hitting a corner of Earth's side with its wing-tip, taking Earth along with him on a course twards Will and Kam, like a pair of dice being rolled on a table.

"Earth, dont panic! You're fine. All you have to do is gain control of your ship by trying to stop the rolling and fly in a straight line." Will commanded Earth while trying to line up a shot at the incoming x-wing. Once the targeting computer glowed green, he pulled on the stick hard after shooting a series of bolts at it. The shots ripped through the cockpit and two wings sending the ship rolling even more, while its pilot was sucked out from the ship and was instantly frozen.

"Good shot Will, lets go give the other two of your flight members some hand. Earth seems to be getting control over his ship as well." Kam said to Will after a while. "Earth, do you copy?"

"Yea, I'm fine now, thanks for taking that x-wing out for me. I didn't see who it was, but thanks. Now i dont have to deal with it after i get control of my ship back." Earth answered, now barly rolling, but a far distance away from the others.

"No throttle," said Laguna.  "I need to get out of here, quick."

"We'll cover you while you think of something to do," said Shazam."

Laguna searched around in his fighter.  He remembered back to his basic training, and many simulation flights that he flew before he was accepted into the Vast Empire.  He specifically remembered the section about re-wiring his systems.

"Shaz, this might take some time, so I'll need you guys to cover me.  If you can't, just leave.  I still have my weapons system.  I'm going to attempt to re-wire my engines sytem, and see if I can get this interceptor moving again, all I need is a little energy...."

Laguna slipped out of his seat into the compartment where the engine panels were.  The space was so small that it was difficult for Laguna to squeeze into the small area, and located his engine panel.  It was fried.  The panel had to be cracked open, as it was melted to the inside of the fighter.  Laguna took out his metal-cutting device, and started to slice away at the panel.

After opening the panel, he ripped out every wire he could find.  The manual that he carried with him only gave a basic wiring display for re-wiring your engines system, because it was a very rare occaison.  He pulled out his wiring kit that he got in his pilot pack.  He switched the vibroblade over to another mechanism to start sottering the wires together.

Jack started to lead Nazgul's Two Flight toward a squadron (or at least, what was left of a squadron) of X-Wings guarding a MC-80a. Jack was familiar with the design and weak spots of the MC-80, so he decided it was best to use its one weak spot - a small engine charger just above and behind the main engines.

"Two Flight, form up with me. We're heading for a weak spot behind the cruiser," Jack said.

"What about those X-Wings?" Jack heard a voice ask. He couldn't tell who had said that, because the trasmission was gurgled by the sound of the MC-80a's engines.

"Okay guys," Jack began, "Take out the X-Wings first, but maintain comm silence. We'll go in quietly behind the cruiser and then blast its engines after the X-Wings are gone."

Jack heard an almost silent "Yes" from everyone before a volley of green-white lasers shot out from the TIEs to the X-Wings. When the X-Wings were so close that Jack could see an astromech droid, apparently hit by laser fire, hanging out of the fighter's droid socket. Orange-yellow sparks flew out of its inactive dome before evaporating. A split second later, the pilot ejected that same craft and burned up in the Mon Calamari cruiser's engines.

"Okay guys," Jack began, "X-Wings are evacuating. Prepare to concentrate all fire on the MC-80's engines. Light them up good."

"Yeah!" the flight members shouted in unison.

Jack and the other fighters of Nazgul Two Flight brightly lit up the enemy cruiser's engines.

Jack patched his comm over to Shazam's fighter. "Shazam, this is Jack."

"What do you need, Jack?" Shazam asked.

"I think we should signal the Devastator. Get them to fire their turbolasers at the MC-80's engines. We'll wound them before they flee," Jack said.

Every time Laguna twisted the wires together, he was scorched by the electrical current running through them.  The wires didn't seem to go together very easily.  Laguna kept wiring as much as he could, checking his target computer for enemies.

As Laguna was wiring the last two wires together, he heard the sound of the rest of Flight 2 giving cheers.  He creeped over and looked out the cockpit.  They were riding right on the engines of the MC-80.  X-wings were fleeing from the area, and TIE groups were intercepting them.

Shazam's fighter flew in a circular motion around Laguna's, waiting until he was done with repairs.  Laguna placed the last two wires together.  Nothing was happening.  He went up to his HUD.  Engines were coming to life!  They had ascended to 10%, and were rising.

"Shazam, I'm done.  Forming on your wing."

"You re-wired that whole circuit board already?" asked Shazam

"I paid attention in Basic." said Laguna

The aerodynamically perfect fighter came to life, and lunged forward.  Laguna sat in his cushiony seat, and grabbed his stick.  He turned hard left, coming up on Shazam's tail.  Laguna spotted a trio of A-wing heading towards Jack's flight.

"Jack!  A-wings, 6-o'clock!" Laguna cried

"Acknowledged.  You two try to keep them off our six, we are making our run at the engines while the devestator aids us with turbolaser fire."

Shazam's speed increased steadily as Laguna stayed behind him.  The A-wings were flying in an arc, coming around to take them by surprise.  Shazam and Laguna placed themselves in the arc, attempting to meet them on their course of attack.

A barrage of red fire bombarded into Shazam's fighter.  X-wings were coming from behind.  Shazam and Laguna split off into seperate directions.

"Where did they come from?" asked Laguna

"Chaos..." was all that Shazam said.

Chip made a quick duck down, barrel-rolled to his left, and made straight back for the Overlord. Damn, the X-wing was still following. He yanked the controls, pulling a vertical u-turn as sharply as he could. Dang, still being tailed. He feinted left, then yanked right and turned back to the Overlord again. Wasn't too much farther. The capital ships were moving closer to each other, soon they'd be within turbolaser range of each other. Dang, he had to get to cover or this guy was gonna tear him apart!

"Kaph 3-1 to nearby Alpha flight. Anyway you can get this guy off of me?"

"Roger that. Alpha third inbound." The three TIE fighters came about on approach 40 degrees to Chip's right. The X-wing reacted as soon as he saw it. Turning slightly, the rebel fired a missle at the lead TIE and switched straight to lasers. The lead broke upward immediately, but the missile stayed on target. The two flight members tried to follow, but the one on the right caught several bolts to the underside and side struts. In a moment nothing was left but wreckage. The lead evaded well, but not well enough.

Chip cursed. At least the X-wing was gone. Stupid sucker was fairly good. The last member of the Alpha flight formed up on Chip's right. Well, at least now he had a flight member.

"Guys! Give me a hand! I'm taking on two x-wings!" Stormz yelled desperatly.

"Coming. Hold on there Stormz." Will replied as he increased throttle to max, and switched most of his power to front defelctor shield. "Bring them twoards us, we'll take care of them. Earth, have you gotton your ship under control yet?!"

"Aalllmmmooost. Yes! Alright I'm on my way back." Came back Earth's reply with statics at first from such long range, then more clearly as he sped twards Stormz with full speed.

But just before the x-wings were within range of Will's fighter, they split in two directions, hoping that the TIE's shots would hit the target they were after. But Will did't fire, He knew they were up to something if they flew in such a straight line as they followed the interceptor. So, instead of firing a series of shots twards Stormz, he fired two missils from his TIE, which took up their targets and sped after the now runing x-wings.

The x-wings crossed path several times, hoping that the missils would hit each other, but these missils were smart, one simply went above or below the other when they were about to collide.

As the x-wings fled, Will reformed his flight and took chase after the x-wings. Once they were within range, he linked his shots and fired, hitting the R2-unit on the ship on the right. Earth's shot however wasn't as accurate, he aimed for the engine of the left x-wing, but hitting the wings of the one on the right, turning the x-wing into a torpedo as it fell twards the surface of the cruiser that he came out of. The missil however continued to follow its target until it too collided with the Corellian Corvette, making a huge explosion.

"Let's finish off this guy, and his cruiser along with it!" Will said to the others. Linking his cannons, Will pulled on the triger as green laser flashed in front of him and contacted the shield of the x-wing and the engine, sending it exploding as the debries fell. He then reprogramed the target of the missil as it flew twards the bridge of the Corvette. sending the whole ship exploding into a fireball.

"Nice shot Will, I can see the explosion all the way over here." Chip said to Will. "That missil was quiet smart."

"Thanks, i did a few things to it before we left hyperspace that allowed me to change targets even after it was launched."

Jack and the rest of Two Flight had really damaged the MC-80a's engines, with help from the Devastator. Most of the engines, offline, of course, showed sparks flying out into the void of space. The battle was turning to an Imperial victory.

One Interdictor was down and destroyed; the other one smashed with its gravity wells at 20%. If the destroyers could make it out of the dying cruiser's reach, they could escape into hyperspace. But Jack thought otherwise.

"Two Flight," Jack began, "Our mission is almost complete. A few fighters left and a scattered bulk cruiser here and there. Good job, men."

"Thanks," Laguna said.

"Nazgul Squadron," Shazam's voice began, "Nice job. Kaph Squadron also did pretty good, too. The Navy's unbeatable. Let's clean up this scene."

"Uh," Dirk began, "My sensors show Kaph Squadron under attack. Plus, I've got what looks like about four more enemy cruisers here. Mon Calamari class with support ships."

"Dirk, are you sure? My sensors show those other cruisers, but-" Jack tried to finish, but before he could, he registered four more enemy cruisers, along with a dozen support ships before they winked out.

Suddenly, Shazam's voice boomed out. "Nazgul Squadron, another enemy fleet arriving from hyperspace. They're jamming our sensors! Battle stations everyone!!"

(Hope you guys don't mind this, thought it would be more fun with more cruisers and fighters.)

(Thankyou man, I was ganna say, TAKE YOUR TIME, you were movin pretty fast...)

Laguna was still sticking to his wing as a series of ships suddenly appeared from distant space to the surrounding area.  Right, we need to take those out before they launch thier fighters, push them back or something.  The core frigates started putting some distance inbetween the new arrival and themselves.

Did they have enough fire power to take these guys down, he wondered, because it really looked like they would need some support by just looking at the ratio of men and shere power.  Lets do it, he thought.

"Be careful man, stay on my wing and do go any farther than seven feet from it, or I will almost guarentee you instant death awaits..."  Shazam said, slightly more intense than usual.  More than once, people had been flying casually next to him when on raids and suddenly erupted into a fireball because they started drifting away, right well nestling themselves into the pocket which any turrent could throw a massive blow to.  Laguna breathed hestitanetly, but said nothing, he needed not because he'd already formed up on Shazam's wing real close.

"This is ganna take a little bit considering how quick the passes will be, push up that throttle to full by the way, I'll match your speed..."  Laguna sped up slightly and Shazam made way just ahead of him and pulled the throttle back to make sure Laguna wouldn't have to fend for himself.

"Here we go, try to keep your body covered by the wing as we pass..." Shazam said, curving Page into a ball of flying terror, oh yes, this probably looked scary to someone on the receiving end, he figured.

The two fighters headed traight towards the engine from a ninety degree angle, then pulled left before reaching the engines, not to close so the pull wouldn't be so close...  Keeping just under the curve on which all the turrets sat so comfortably, quietly targeting everyone from a hundred klicks away, awaiting the target that they would say 'I shot it down'...  Well, the target had arrived, but with full cover and a free shot.  Shazam released a full ride of bolts into the sternom of the little bulk cruiser, Laguna following suite like cowboys herding up a stray animal.  Four or five full blast so quickly blew Shazam's mind at how fast they had managed to pull those triggers in a couple of seconds time...  Those were three second burst from Laguna, not such a bad pilot after all chuckled Shazam.

The past the craft, made a sharp curve right, a very steep turn, almost ran into the enemy ship itself.  They now approached the ship from the opposite side and going the opposite way; as they were making thier turn the ship had managed to roll so the two imperials made perfect targets to the unpacified turret gunners.  Shazam simply componsated as his wingman did by barreling low, allowing them to drop below the turrets line of vision and allowing for a strik in the exact same area they had just hit.  Shazam couldn't see the shields bleed, but he knew they were suffering pretty good from intense speed firing, especially the two fighters firing together.  Such close timing allowed for little shield regeneration; not so good for the bulk cruiser tactical officers who had counted on thier gunners to take out the supposebly 'municipal threat' that two bolt firing imperial fighters normally permitted to a ship of size like the rebel ship before them.  OH yes, he thought, the rebels liked to understimate, thats why they were always surprised when they were attacked...

The area of the shields that were supposed to be covering the ship with an inpenetribal blanket were instead prooving to light like wool and disappeared after another pass.  They wouldn't destory the ship, but leave it gunless, and engineless...  That way the could come back for them and ask them questions...  Maybe they'd get medals, Shazam thought Laguna might be thinking.

Shazam curved in for yet another assault on the cruiser to be surprised with a sudden volley of turret fire from a nearby cruiser, forcing him to dive low, Laguna had verted to the side to avoid the enemy fire of which Shazam had warned and which he was now the center of.  Yes, the master has become the learner, he thought as he barreled in between the two ships, the two enclosing freighters were hitting eachother repeately, and the one of which the two imperials had been so elequently attacking, disturbed as it already was, seemed to be completely oblivious they were being fired upon by thier own craft; the sending craft continued to fire like a blind man playing hop-skotch...

Shazam, being so manuverable and flexible in his fighter as he was, managed to escape his almost doomed fate without a scratch.  Man I'm good, he thought, this was just before yet another, much much larger ship that appeared to have just jumped in beside them, blocked his path, tractor beam targetting the litttle mischevious cretin who had accompinied the red barron attacking one of thier buddies.  Shazam noticed Laguna with no control over his ship, sitting defensless.  That sucks, first time out and already being pulled into a tractor beam, we normally wait untill the second battle where you have more credit...  Oh well...

"Laguna, fire already!"  he shouted through the com.  Laguna now resumed a friged madness he must have had earlier, because he was now firing missles and cannons into the enemy hanger bay while being pulled in with extreme control.  Everyone in the hanger bay scattered as the it became pitch black with fires exploding and scorching nearby pedistrians of the ship, one half of the hanger bay suddenly lost its holdings and dropped over the tractor beam, was sucked in and instantly parylized the poor rebel built machine.  The beam did not lose power but simply lost control, throwing things in the surrounding area all around, metalic objects peircing throught the hanger walls and one even hitting the room which held the hanger bay so safetly.  The life support and force holding in the oxygen and keeping people from being sucked into space, suddenly disappeard and held no baring on those within the hanger bay or objects sitting innocently.

Laguna had barreled out as his ship resumed control of itself, Shazam made a pass with a few quick shots into the main compartment holding fighter and hanger staff.  The two imperials rode out into the sunset which was currently more more rebellion cruisers which were currently spewing out enemy craft of all sorts as well as bording parties to take control of the lovely ships that were boldy running to protect themselves...  Right.  Lovely, Shazam imagined as several men and women in colorful clothing were pulled into the dead of space, quite absurdly considering how secure they felt only seconds before...

(Blind man playing hop-skotch, this is one my more figuitive post, lol...)

The TIE bomber next to Chip tore apart as a missle impacted with the right support strut. Chip yanked left, trying to keep on the tail of the A-wing he was chasing. Damned A-wings, so freaking hard to kill. And those stupid shields! It didn't take long to knowck them out, but they recharged faster than anything. He got so few opportunities to fire that he'd linked all his cannons to maximize the impact when he did get that rare shot in.

Most of the VE pilots had concentrated on the Y-wings and X-wings, and so most of those were gone. But now Kaph was tangling with the squadron of A's, with remnants of Alpha and Beta giving occasional helping hands. They'd moved as close to the Devastator as possible, so the turbolasers could give extra fire support. But stray lasers didn't distinguish between friend and foe, so it was almost as dangerous for the TIE's as well.

Chip fired. Gah, missed again. The stupid thing was just too manuverable. Chip had one TIE from Alpha on his wing, all with his new flight member Dag Splason. "Dag, take Alpha 3-3 and break wide left. See if he watches you too more than me. Maybe I can sneak a shot in then."

"Got ya." They broke left, and the A-wing went right. Chip cut a slightly harder right, lined up, and waited for the reb to pass through his sights.

Bingo! Two shots burned a small hole in the shields, just enough for one more bolt to cantact with the right wingtip. The reb, suprised by the jolt, froze a second and a half. Chip fired again, this time one of his bolts entered the right engine exaughst while the other hit the engine casing. The right engine exploded, tearing the wing off and sending the A-wing hurtling into space with no flight control.

Heh. Unless the sucker was saved by one of his buddies, he'd last a few hours until his life support ran out. A horrifyingly slow death. Chip loved it. Served the stupid freak right. And as far as Chip was concerned, every rebel scumbag deserved to die similiar slow, horrifying deaths. Terrorist scumbags. "Good job. Form back on me and lets get the next one."

Laguna snug his interceptor up to the next of Shazam's as they were making their run on a group of A-wings who looked to be targeting the Overlord.

"Shazam, those Correlian 'Vettes are still lingering around, we should get beta to make a few runs before they catch on."

Shazam though for a moment, then keyed his radio, "Beta looks like they have enough going on for them right now.  I suggest we take these A-wings, then see what we can do with those 'Vettes.

"Alright." replied Laguna

The two fighters flew side by side, identical except for the fact that they were different fighters, but Shazam came out as more of a leader.  Laguna followed Shazam's every movement as they formed on the leader of the trio of A-wings.

"Engaging," Shazam called through the radio

"I got your six" replied Laguna

Shazam shot at the leader first, splitting apart the group of of A-wings from their attack.  The two in the back formed up, and the leader kept on the attack run.  Shazam tailed the leader, and Laguna was left with the choice of following, or chasing one of the A-wings the split off from the leader.

"Shaz, you take that leader, I'm gonna tail one of these A-wings and try to get the other,"

"Alright, but if you get in trouble, let me know," Shazam's voice said through the com.

The distance between the two imperial pilots gained, leaving them apart from eachother.  Laguna tailed the A-wing that was closest to him.  The A-wing jerked in and out of Laguna's firing pattern, barely taking hits to the shields.  Every time Laguna got a hit in, the shields would regenerate faster than he could get the next shot off.

Finally, Laguna got a good hit in under the belly of the A-wing.  The engines were dis-engaged for a moment, which gave Laguna the chance to strike.  An explosion could be heard from far off, which was probably Shazam taking out his A-wing.  Laguna swung around at the disabled fighter, and unloaded an attacking into it's engines.  The metallic shielding around the fighter started to seperate with every laser blow, and part flew off as it exploded.  The pilot e-jected out of the A-wing just before it exploded, but was wrapped around the neck by his resperator, choking him, and freezing him.

"1 A-wing down," said Laguna

"Mines down too, where did the other one go?" Shazam asked.

Just as he finished his sentance, Laguna's fighter was shaken by a barrage of laser bolts, peirceing through the hull.  Laguna quickly engaged his life-support systems as the cold from the space was leaking in.

"Loosing air pressure, life systems on-line," said Laguna.  "I have to get out of this deathtrap."

"Hold on...," Shazam said.  "One of the newly arrived MC-80's looks like it is coming your way to pick you up.  Just hold on a little longer.

"My radio is cutting out," Laguna said.  "I'll try my best, but tell everyone not to attack that ship, and get my ass off there before this thing hypers out.  I dont wanna be a rebel prisoner"

"Do my best," Shazam said, just as Laguna's radio cut out.  Laguna panicked, looked out his cockpit window.  He saw Shazam's fighter tailing the A-wing that had attacking him, then spotted the Mon Calamari getting closer.  A few seconds later, a green beam of light shown down on him.  His fighter started pulling in the direction towards the hanger.

"How many times do I have to be picked up by one of these damned things!" Laguna yelled.

He looked around his cockpit.  Things were being sucked out through the holes in his fighter.  A piece of paper came over one of the holes, and was sucked right out.  There goes my manual.  He pulled out his E-11/H rifle, and prepared for the boarding parties to enter.  His fighter was lifted into the rebel hanger, and he could see the soldiers awaiting to board, and capture his fighter.

As soon as one of the soldiers popped open the hatch, he was met with the bolts from Laguna's blaster, and was propelled over the fighter down onto the metal floor under him.  A group of soldiers piled into the cockpit of the interceptor.  Laguna made an attempt to attack, but there was no use.  He was lifted out of the fighter, and slammed down on the ground.  One of the officers walked up to Laguna, and ripped of his helmet.  Laguna's long hair emergerged from the helmet as the officer disconnected the life support systems, and the respirator.  He tossed them aside, and the two more soldiers brought Laguna to his knees.

The officer stared at Laguna for a moment, then smashed his fist into Laguna's face.  Blood dripped from Laguna's nose.  Thats broken.  The blood dripped down Laguna's throat, and he coughed up one of the clots onto the ground.

"Imperials...not so bad(in the bad way)after all.  Looks like you won't be returning to the rest of your fleet.

"Thats what you think," Laguna said, and was met by a kick to the sternum, knocking the air out of his body.  Laguna gasped for air, but couldn't find any.  He slowly started to black out, and then his vision went blurry.

Kaminari had mostly been following Will's lead throughout the entire fight; doing well in simulators was one thing, but you couldn't actually die in those. After having survived the first few runs, however, Kaminari's confidence was building, and after narrowly avoiding another fireball he set out in search of his own target.
Soon, he had some luck. He spotted a flight of Vast Empire Interceptors going head-to-head with a group of A-Wings; Nazgul Squadron, it looked like. Kaminari watched the engagement, seeing the three A-Wings vanish into molecular clouds and watching the one Interceptor get tractored into the MC-80's fighter bay. The other Navy fighters scrambled, and Kaminari followed them.
An alarm sounded, and Kaminari threw his flight stick to the side just in time to avoid getting hit by an X-Wing's fire. Kami dropped his throttle to 1/3 and pulled into a tight loop, dropping on to the X-Wing's rear as it flew past. He flicked his cannons over to dual-fire and squeezed the trigger, pounding on the X's rear shields. The Rebel tried to evade, but the X-Wing was no match for the more maneuverable Interceptor. Kaminari increased his speed, and a minute later, the X-Wing's reactor overloaded as Kaminari's lasers slammed into the back of the craft. Kaminari pulled up and waggled his fighter slightly in a victory gesture, then pulled around to look for another mark.

(Short post, yeah, but this is his first combat. XD)

(Good job, man)

Shazam put his star viper 'Page' into passive mode so he could support the cockpit a little better while he tried to weave his way to the ship which so promptly took Laguna.  Why they were so hell-bent on picking up people during a battle instead of sending out more fighters, Shazam couldn't be sure.  Arrogance?  To much assurance in ones self or allies' abilities, who knew, but it wasn't going to be so easy for them to take a valuable member of the Vast Empire Navy's newest squadron!  They had a reputation to uphold, or at least re-create, so Shazam would check it out.

Page flew silently thought the blazes of battle which seemed to be taking place everywhere, in front or around Shazam, but not right at him, which made him look like the most untouchable object in the area.  Shazam managed to get a bit closer to the MC-80; it was of course, a pretty ship with all kinds of bulges all over the place, probably rooms they decided to add in halfway thought the process, Shazam though.  Anyways, there were quite a few guns on it, a nice little hanger bay and some innocent looking fighters circling around it; always good to leave someone to guard the base.  They broke the rules of engagement, no guarding!  Oh well, we'll see about that in a couple of minutes, lemme just see this bay, Shazam continued on in his mind.

Unfortunately, this random occurrence where Shazam focused on looking for something often times made him very unaware of others, such as an entire flight of A-wings streaking through the quiet and bleak blackness; they really began to dominate around the area apparently, because very few were being shot down and they continued to evade attackers and lead to imperial fatalities in the Tie area.

Now, as sleek and cool as Shazam looked in his super-duper Black Sun crafted fighter that their own ruler used for himself, it did have one minor fallback.  This of course, was the amount of power it took to run the maneuverable fighter, so much was taken up by the small propulsions coming from the claw like wingtips, so...  Run out of the battery that runs the ship, and your basically the bull's-eye for a turret gunner on a ship like, oh, an MC-80.

Anyways, Shazam was still surveying the hanger bay when a series of alert bleeps went off, making the pilot jump a little, he also noticed that he was about to be fired upon by a group of A-wings that would probably take him down in his sitting position pretty quickly.  Pushing the throttle to full immediately, Shazam pulled into a strong loop for the A-wings to follow him in, unfortunately that is also an advantage for the A-wing which Shazam decided not to consider before deciding upon his maneuver...

The rebels instantly broke off, one still trailing Shazam, two others breaking to Page's sides, and the last one changed direction so he could try and meet him; there really wasn't anywhere to go because all the cruisers continued to enclose, trying to get within firing range of each other.

Seeing his textbook mistake, Nazgul 1-1 attempted to slip sideways, out of the trap so expertly done by the rebels who had always hoped for someone to do it...  Yea, well, we'll see about that...

As Shazam began to slide in-between the now collapsing formation Shazam made a triumphant cry that blocked out the quick beep of his data pad he had put inside for the exact reason of warning him if something happened that wouldn't show in the specs aboard the ship, well, they would, but Shazam most certainly wouldn't notice.

He managed to get ahead of the intercepting A-wing just in time, the rest of his wing collapsing back around him, now firing systematically.  Shazam barreled in and out of the fire pretty easily, but decided to head around the MC-80 of which Laguna had just found himself trapped, this way he could get a better look at what he would be dealing with while giving himself a little bit of a wearing down to the pursuing rebels.

The chaos erupting around him was suddenly upon him though, and a fellow tie fighter engulfed in self-consuming flame smashed into the shield wall encasing the MC-80 styled rebellion cruiser; Shazam of course was still looking straight ahead instead of looking at his near depleted power supply.  The explosion in front of him forced him to jump around the flames, but also acted as his best chance to escape the clutches of his close pursuers.  However, as he made his way around the quick bubble of flames, his little engine attached to the wings of his craft suddenly went silent.  Shazam lost mobility instantly, his engines that were pushing one-hundred percent throttle now went to the power of thirty percent, and just barely.  Shazam glanced down at the data pad sitting on side of his control panel, which was now flashing blue and white.  It showed the engines decline at seven percent power every second and his life support would go out a few seconds after that.  Not good, gotta get somewhere now, Shazam thought hastily.  Directly in his path, now that he'd leaped about the explosion, was a raggedy hanger bay with a bunch of mechanics and a couple of pilots strolling around watching the battle outside.  There better not be some kind of barrier on that thing!

"Ahhhhhhhh," he said as he now aimed himself for the hanger bay, the inhabitants looked at it with a slight bit of disbelief.  Shazam was suddenly inside of the hanger bay, engines right about dead, and he was attempting to stop himself before plastering himself into the side of the hanger bay.

Page skidded to a stop, toppling a young pilot a few women had just been standing around, probably an ace or something he figured, either way, good rittens&  Page sat in its passive position as Shazam pushed open the hatch, duel pistols in hands though, he didn't carry a bunch of weapons in the back for no reason...

A man who was trying to get out the door and alert some more people of what was going on received three solid blast to the back and the women who had ran to meet him received a silent but deadly dose directly to the head.  Shazam rushed the door in the square musty room, about six or seven people were scattering, one to see if the man the star viper ran over was still alive&  Making it to the door untouched, Shazam swung back around and slowly ushered everyone out, one by one into a cluster of rebels; he had been attempting to jam the door at the same time and see if he couldn't find the alarm that was bound to be somewhere in there.  There's always an alarm, Shazam knew.

The imperial pilot was only slightly discouraged he'd managed to overlook the blinking light going off in his cockpit, which also managed to put him here in this hanger bay.  Either way, someone was repairing that star viper so he could get out, also, Laguna  was on the same MC-80, so maybe he'd do something with that&

"I need a mechanic," Shazam wined a little, the group was looking pretty terrified at that moment though, considering Shazam had killed the man with stripes on his shoulder and the two people who had attempted to get to the door.  Watch, I'll have a jedi on me next.

One man was now walking sheepishly forward, "Sir, I'm a mechanic, how may I help&  If there's anything," he began but Shazam cut him off.

"Right then, I need power to that ship, I'm ganna need you to put some batteries in it, be gentle.  As for you miss, to the corner and do some jumping jacks, you too young lady..." Shazam issued his commands.

"Not YOU," Shazam said as an extra man began to help with Page, he received three pretty severe shots to the sternum.  The young women who had just been doing jumping jacks, they would serve as entertainment, had stopped and were now on the verge of tears looking at the body of yet another allied rebel.

"Oh relax, he's stunned, I always keep my right pistol on stun, forgot is all.  The only person I've killed in this ship is the fool who was sitting in the middle of my runway,"
The two young girls looked a little more relieved, Shazam should take one for prisoner he thought.  Anyways, the door was locked up, people were working on Page, and all seemed to be going well, so Shazam would try and figure out where he could find Laguna...

Jack's TIE Aggressor shot away from a formation of A-Wings. They were coming in pretty quick when Jack heard the news: Laguna had been captured by the enemy. Jack, figuring out a way to save his comrade, dove for the MC-80 where Laguna has held up in.

On the way, Jack blasted a few X-Wings and one or two A-Wings. Flying over the MC-80 once, he knocked out the closest tractor beam to the hangar with a bomb. Then, he dove straight into the hangar and blew up a B-Wing preparing for take-off. Jack's TIE Aggressor skidded and finally came to a stop by a mechanics' station.

Jack was surrounded.

Thinking quickly, Jack carefully opened the fighter's cockpit and climbed out. "Freeze," one of the mechanics said, a blaster pistol in his hand.

Jack slowly rose his arms up, and when they saw the Super Battle Droid arm on him, they were startled. With a quick charge, the blaster arm killed or mortally wounded all the mechanics. Jack started his quest for his captured comrade, blaster arm charged and ready for anything at all.

Jack would show the Rebel scum how the so-called "Imps" won their battles.

Dirk's inteceptor danced along the surface of the ISD Devastator. The star destroyer had called for something of a fighter screen to be formed as it started to move into position for a jump to lightspeed. Dirk pulled his craft up and over the bridge structure and sped along the long front section of the ship. He knew and X-wing had headed underneath the ship and working back from the speed it had been moving at, Dirk calculated the speed to take for the most likely intercept.

As he reached the front tip of the star destroyer the X-wing emerged from beneath the capital ship, Dirk dropped in right behind it and several linked volleys from his laser cannons. The shots eat away the x-wings shields before the pilot banked right and out of Dirk's aiming reticule. With the upper hand it was easy for a TIE to keep behind an X-wing, but Dirk knew the stats well and a group of X-wing's was still frustratingly difficult to take apart in a TIE.

Dirk suddenly pulled away from the X-wing as a turbolaser blast caught the unshielded x-wing and ripped though its dorsal s-foils. Dirk took a moment to check for his squadron. The result was not pleasing, Jack, Shazam and Laguna were missing.

"Well thats the flight leaders gone," Dirk said to himself.

"Devastator requiring fighter cover," came a simple demand over his channel. Dirk pulled back towards the ISD II and realised why. The Star Destroyer moved past a republic 'vette and focussed all firepower on it. Great sections were ripped from the frigate as the star Destroyer overwhelmed it. In moments to 'vette was a lifeless hull, drifting through space. Dirk throttled up and moved to join the rest of the TIE's keeping the A-wings away from the Devastator

Right, well, now that Shazam was pointing pistols, everyone seemed to be a lot more scared of him.  Apparently, the rest of the ship was still unaware of the fact that people were currenlty being held hostage, the man watching from the room above must have been sleeping or...  Nevermind, he's dead, Shazam noticed that a side to a ladder had dislodged itself from the other half and made its way to the balcony above when Shazam had crashed in.  Shazam had managed to land himself in an enemy cruiser before, that one was bigger, he thought.

Chip was with him that time though, he favored the shotgun while Shazam grabbed random things and used them the best he could.  Then of course, was Chatham with them?  He couldn't quite remember, maybe he wasn't there yet, because he wouldn't have been taken away by then.  Oh well, lets just, yea...

"Congrats, you've moved in the correct direction, just continue on over there, yep, through...  No, over a little, yep...  Now, just walk yourselves into the utility closet." Shazam was pointing all over the place with the duel pistols, his eyes had been taken off of the man who was suposed to be giving him new batteries.  Noticing the absence of sound from behind him, the imperial suddenly busted around and shot at the dark abject which had been charging full speed ahead.  The man didn't just drop though, he continued forward although with no control of where he was going.  Shazam stepped out a little and let his foot stay where it had been.  The repair man looked like something going off a ramp as he connected with Shazam's foot.

The audience which had been pretending not to notice the mechanic flying at him, were now shot with terror as thier allie pushed them into the closet.  Why none of them moved must have been some strange act of inertia because they sat there like a deer in headlights...  BOOM!

Now that everyone was thrown into the little chamber, Shazam shut the door and used a nearby torch to weld the lock up quick, then he went to work on the rest of the fram to keep them from being saved too quickly...

Page's pilot jogged back surveying what the mechanic had managed to achieve.  Four batteries lay in front of him, not to heavy by the looks of them, so Shazam would have to get a ladder...

                                        *****

The Viper was rebooting itself, warming up the engine Shazam liked to think.  He figured it would take him about two minutes to get the batteries in, ended up taking him about ten because he couldn't find the correct tool to open up cabinets to replace the batteries.  I need to get some rechargable batteries, he noted, this ship is cost me a pretty fair amount of cash if I start to frequent the thing.

Shazam was sitting in his cockpit, pretty much ready to go when he looked down at the little datapad which was now nice and clear, not blinking like a siren.  Okay, hows Jack doin with the rest of the squadron, he clicked on in to the little pad.  What?  Dirk's in control?  Shazam was just kiddin about the 'if Jack dies' thing, Jack wasn't dead was he?  Ah ha...  He decided to get himself into the MC-80 as well; if this thing got blown up, Nazgul's decomissioned he thought.  Oh fudge...

Shazam spun around to look behind his seat, various weapons had been strapped back down to the lids of the batteries.  Its not like he'd never ran around shooting people before, might as well...

The imperial pilot was now pretty well armed...

(Alright, les not spend too much time in here, a couple of more post, then lets get back out there guys...)

Laguna awoke, everything in a blurr.  Once his eyes adjusted, he could see the forcefield surrounding him.  He tried to lift his head, but the pain shot through him again, almost forcing him to pass out once more.

Once of the soldiers realized that Laguna was awake.  He walked over to one of the other officers, and reported that he was awake.  The thoughts ran through Laguna's head.  Where was Shazam? Jack? Dirk? the rest of the squadron?  He sat his head back down, and pondered for a moment.  "Either they think I'm dead, or they have come looking for me.....

Glancing down his body, Laguna noticed his flight suit was torned and tattered all the way, with cuts and scraps on almost every part of his body.  His long hair was in knots, in his eyes.  Many burns scarred his legs, as if he had been burned by some kind of blade in his unconciousness.  He felt around his chest, and felt something just above the right side of his chest.  It felt like something was under his skin.  An implant.

Laguna panicked for a moment, then settkled back down.  The soldiers started getting more alert, checking with each other about what to do.  Laguna forced himself into a sitting position, and wiped his hand across his face.  The blurryness still haltered his vision, making him dizzy every time he tried to move.  The room had panels everywhere, and soldiers covering almost every exit.  If they tried to get me out of here, it would be pretty hard.....

The soldier who looked like a commander,  walked through the door.  All of the other soldiers saluted, and then the commander saluted back.  He walked over to a nearby terminal, and pressed a few buttons.  The yellow like force field de-activated.  The soldiers accompanied the commander as he stepped into the cell.

"You have awoken, what a nice thing of you to do.  We weren't done with you, yet." the commander said.

Laguna mustered up the strength to say something.

"What do you plan on doing? Interrogating me? Because I don't plan on talking..."

"Oh, thats what yout think.  First, I will ask you nicely, and your reactions will determine what will happen to you next. Imp."

"Really? Because you Rebel scum don't look like the type who have the necessary skills to actually, Interrogate someone.  But us, we do."

The commander kicked Laguna across the face.  More blood spilled out onto the floor from his mouth as Laguna coughed.  Another soldier kicked laguna in the chin, smashing his teeth together.  The pain shot through Laguna as his teeth collided, chipping a few of them.

"Thats enough," said the commander.  "You are with the Empire, no doubt.  But we have no clue with whom.  If you would so much as tell us your direct plan of attack, we will let you go back into your fleet to die with the rest of your pilots.  As one of your own is dead already."

Laguna could sense the lie from the man.  But he second questioned himself.  Could one of his friends be dead?  Shazam?  Jack? Dirk?  The thought kept running through his mind.

"Bull" Laguna said.

"Oh really? You challenge me eh?" the commander said.  "One more chance, you tell us who you are with, or else.

"Or else what you smug bastard," Laguna said.

The commander hesitated for a moment, like he didn't want to give the command.

"Bring out the energy blades..."

Laguna thought for a moment.  Energy blades, but what would they use those for?

One of the soldiers came back, with an empty cell fixture in his hand.  He looked back down at Laguna.

"I am doing this one last time...." the commander said.  "Who, are you with, and what is your plan..."

Laguna kept quiet, and began to accept the fact that pain would come....very bad pain.

The commander pushed a little button on the silvery thing, and a small blade came out, looking something like a mini lightsaber, but tons tons smaller.

"Strap him to the table...." the commander said.

Two officers pulled Laguna off his knees into a standing position.  His legs fought to pull him away from the table, but no energy was left.  No will to fight back.

The soldiers placed his hand on the white table, and straps came out just below his elbow on his forearm, making it so his arms could not move.  He tried to fight it, but there was no use.  He winced as the blade moved closer to his arm.  He closed his eyes, and looked away.

The energy balde sliced through his flesh fast, burning everything inbetween.  Laguna yelled in agony as the blade moved down to the table.  The officer pulled the blade back up, and the straps were unlocked.

Laguna, still yelling with pain, noticed he wasn't bleeding.  Everything had been friend to a point where there was no way that blood could come though.  His vision went blurry again, as the soldiers threw him back into this cells, and activated the yellow forcefield.

Jack had just begun walking down the shaft with the interrogation chambers when he heard a scream. Jack knew it was Laguna. He bolted off to find him.

Jack saw a cell farther down with two guards on duty. Aiming from around a corner, he blasted both of them dead. He ran to look inside the cell. Sure enough, there was Laguna with her arm cut off, a commander interrogating her.

Grabbing a guard's uniform, he walked into the cell. He spoke to the commander.

"Sir," Jack began, "you're wanted at the bridge. They say it's urgented."

"Oh, yes, of course," the unsuspecting commander said. He began to get up. "Back to your post, trooper," he commanded as he walked out.

"Not likely," Jack said and shot him twice in the back.

Jack quickly unstrapped Laguna, and together they bolted out, down the long corridors that led to the docking bay where Jack's fighter was. Before long, they met up with a dozen guards.

"You okay?" Jack asked Laguna.

"Never better," he replied.

"Can you shoot with your other arm?"

"Yep. Give me the target; I'll blast him to death."

"Good." Jack handed Laguna a blaster rifle, and they shot out a guard one after another. When they were all dead, they continued their escape, hoping to catch up with Shazam along the way.

(Jack, I told you man, Laguna has decided to write his character as a male...  Kind of funny though...)

It had been a while since he'd stretched so he sat in the musty grey halls of the Calimari Cruiser, reaching for for his toes and tossing his arms around his shoulders so he'd be able to move a little more fluid.  Shazam currenlty resembled the equivelent of a man stuck in battle for three years without sleep and knew every inch of the human body, able to kill at any moment.  The often historically recognized Rambo of Thyferra comes to mind...

Two Nacht 5 smoke grenades on his left upper-chest while a series of chyoban grenades completely covering the right side for easy access to his free hand.  Duel pistols at the side with a F3 flame thrower slung around his back, the strap seperating the grenades opposite eachother, ryk blades stitched to his legs with hardcore velcrow camoflage strips...  the Halorecording macrobinoculars were a bit unfortable around his neck, but atleast he was satisfied with the E/11 heavy blaster rifle butting against his shoulder.

After he had completed a series of warmups, he'd put back on the equipment and began to jog down the hallway to create havic...

Time to go looking for Laguna he thought to himself as his two squadron mates rushed out infront of him.  Shazam jumped, almost dropping all of his equipment.

"Holy hell, scared the crap out of..." he said, but the two didn't seem to recognize the fact he was standing there ready to fight becuase they were sprinting, or atleast Jack was while Laguna wavered in and out of conciousness attempting to hold onto his friends arm.  Why were they sprinting?  More than likely the twenty or thirty men rushing down the hall to destory them, so Shazam decided to try and eliminate the threat so he could slow down his little buddies.  Unclipping one of the smoke grenades he just discovered wasn't a cryoban grenade, he tossed it down the hall and allowed for a few seconds after the burst to jump out.

A full regiment of men tried to run through the smoke but were met with the angry cry of sci-fi style burst weapons...  OH yea, E/11 must have tasted pretty good, he thought to himself, because they continued to run right into it for about fifteen seconds.  After that period of rebel turmoil within the smoke, a few collapsed from random fire wounds that Shazam felt he had to shoot from his duel pistols that were slung low on his hips.  Jack had stopped at the end of the hall and was watching with astonishment as Shazam was now switching from duel pistols to a portable flamethrower with enough fuel to last about twenty minutes straight.

The arsenal was endless as two men were suddenly lit aflame and ran around in circles until they to collapsed in dispair and sat burning, thier skin began to melt brown and smell of burning animals...  Shazam couldn't say he liked that smell, so he decided to switch back to the E/11 and finish off anyone who decided to come thier way.  Laguna was now slightly awake and drowning on amount something, slightly unaware his hand was gone.

One last rebel in a nice suite held out a pistol through the smoke and aloud for two shots in complete clouding.  Both missed and instantly made the imperial pilot aware of his presence.  Shazam suddenly dropped the blaster rifle and his hands whipped low and rose high with justice as he implemented several quick shots into the rebel officers uniform.  That's ganna leave a mark, he thought to himself.  Lifting the barrels to his lips, he let out a single wisp of air, making the weapons howl for a moment.  Now I'm rambo...

Smoke still rising from the position where the new squadron leader had unleashed hell in its most gruesome form, Shazam stepped right to his squadron mates.  Jack looked exhausted from carrying around Laguna and seemed to be a bit beat up from dodging the enemy here and there...  Right, well, they'd just have to make due, he thought as a single bolt grazed his right shoulder, spinning him around.

Shazam's arm was singed, but the blow forced him to turn, and he found himself lying on the ground with his body open for shots, his pistols managed to tangle themselves in thier holsters somehow.  However, the recently arriving rebel soon received a couple of green bolts from an ally issue weapon Laguna must have picked up somewhere.  Shazam sighed heavilly...

"Guys, we can't just get to the hanger bay...  We're ganna have to make way or something..."  the commander finally annouced at his near death experience, the flamethrower was cool, but it wouldn't take down the entire MC-80 crew...

(Lets make sure this directly affects the battle at hand, shall we?)

A fellow pilot captured. Damn, not again! Again, some bad memories flashed through Chip's mind. Well, there wasn't a snowball's chance in Hell that he was going to leave Luguna. He didn't know the guy too well, nor was he even in Chip's squadron. But LA was a comrade. And Chip had been behind enemy lines before, and had some idea of what it must be like. Sure, the job was probably better left to the Army ground-pounders. But getting them in place would take too long. Chances were the the rebs would torture LA to death before the troopers had the hallways around the hangar properly secured.

Chip had seen Shaz and Jack's mini invasion, and decided to give a hand. He knew his place was supposed to be in his fighter. And he'd probably take all sorts of hell for this. But he was gonna do it anyway. 'Sides, he still hadn't heard from Scout or Gene.

"Dag, you got any experiance with small arms?"

      "Exucse me sir?"

"Can you handle you shoot a blaster?"

"Uh, well, I never owned one..."

Great. This was gonna suck. Dag really didn;t have much to offer. Neither could he shoot, nor did he have the experience to handle a dog-fight on his own. Well, he'd be better off just following Chip. "Alright, we're going in anyway. Just follow me, take it real smooth, and try not to fly into the walls.

"Excuse me sir? Go in where?"

"The rebel cruiser." Chip brushed off Dag's objections with the simple statement that he didn't care what happened, LA wasn't going to be left behind. Besides, Alpha, Beta, and the rest of Kaph and Nazgul were more than enough to give the Devestator the cover it needed.

The rebel cruiser seemed to be having difficulty with it's defenses. Shields were already down, although hull was still at 99%. The VE forces weren't paying it attention do to the fact the it's power distributor was malfunctioning, denying the turbolasers the energy they needed to fire. Effectively, it was nothing but a defenceless personell carrier.

Chip and Dag made their landings without too much trouble, although Dag nearly skimmed the roof, and came close to tapping his wingtips against the wall he pulled up to. Chip undid his harness and pulled his shotgun out the pilot pack he'd had installed in the seat. It was desinged for close-quarters: pump action with a pistol grip, heat shield over the barrel, and an overall length of two feet. Dag didn't have anything other than the hold-out blaster that came standard in his seat. Chip gave him the basic instruction of how to shot and aim, and the two paused a moment to listen for the shooting.

Ok, it was that way. They set off down the hallway, looking to give the three Nazgul boys some back up. But Chip made damn sure that Dag was at least five feet behind, to keep the kid safe.

Laguna limped along beside Shazam and Jack as they made their way into the interior of the ship.  Laser bolts filled the hall, and they took cover.  Two men appeared out from behind, and Shazam was quick to take aim at them, but put his guard down when he realized they were allies.

"Chip?" Shazam said with enthusiasm.  "Aren't you suppose to be out there with Kaph?"

"Yea, but didn't want to see a fellow pilot go down.  Seeing as though we have done this before Shazam...."

"Right," Shazam said.

"Maybe we should signal to the rest of the fleet that the rest of the pilots should stay off this vessel, this isn't a ground mission here..." laguna said.  "Get everyone else to stay out and give us fighter cover from potential boarding parties that might come and attempt to rescue this vessel."

"Good idea," said Jack.

Shazam put out the call, and the call came back of affirmative.  Jack and Laguna continued firing into the crowd of soldiers, taking a few out at a time as they kept stepping into the line of fire.

Once the group of soldiers were taken care of, the pilots moved stealthily through the vessel, checking their surroundings.  Shazam spotted the bridge, the place they needed to be.  He pointed out two squads of troopers.

"Get em, we are capturing this vessel......" he said.

(Hmm... capturing a MC-80? Not a bad idea...)

Jack, Chip, Shazam, and Laguna all held their distances from the squads of enemy troopers. Capturing a Mon Calamari MC-80 Rebellion Star Cruiser was a hard job, even for experienced Imperials like the small band.

There was no other choice.

On their way to the docking bay, they had run into too many soldiers to escape in their fighters. Jack's TIE Aggressor was thankfully still intact, but having everyone escape all at once was tough.

So they headed for the bridge.

Jack and Laguna had met up with Chip and Shazam seperatly during their way to the hangars. Faced now with impossible odds, they ahd to complete this mission. Capturing the MC-80 would practically spell victory for the Vast Empire.

They could not fail.

The only other option was death.

(Sorry it's short, have a very limited time now.)

Will and rest of his flight was just flying around killing random enemy fighters when he heard the bridge on the Devastator call over to him.

"Kaph 5, do you copy?"

"Yes, Sir."

"I need you and your flight to cover the bording ship while it make its way over to the MC-80 that has five of our guys on board."

"No problem." Will replied as he ordered his flight to regroup and follow his orders from the bridge.

The boarding ship seemed to be moving at max speed, but was still not fast enough to outrun fighters. a group of about 6 different rebel fighters was flying around it, making shots at it at every chance they get. The ship was taking on heavy fire, but it seemed to have a good shield generator, its shields would come down when the bolts hit it, then it
would go back up again slowly, but it still wasn't generating fast enough to over come the speed of being hit.

When the rebels noticed that they had company, they charged. flying in a V shape, coming right at the flight leader of the Imperial fighters."Guys, whatch out for enemy fire, it 4 against 6, but we have the advantage of the cruiser's cannons." Will said as once again they split into pairs after shooting a few random shots at the line of rebles, Will and Kam going down and to the left, while Earth and Stormz going up and right. Dodging the enemy fire as they came from behind, Will and Kam easily ducked behind the cruiser, waiting till the few fighters that were after them had gone past, then sliped in behing them, taking a few easy shots and bring down each of their targets.

Earth and Stormz seemed to be having a little bit of problem getting the enemy crafts off their tail, so they split again, each making two u-turns and coming around regrouped, and flew twards the boarding ship and Will and Kam. "Take them off of our tails will ya?"Stormz requested."we can't shake them."

"On my way." Will and Kam said at the same time, even though they had their own targets, if a flight member needed assistance and was not far away, they would always come first. Earth and Stormz tried to fly as straight to left Will and Kam line up their shots. Once the enemy ships was within range, Will linked their cannons and fired, allowing the shots to contact the enemy ships' cockpit and engine.

Suddently, Will's ship rocked as enemy bolts hit his rear shield, getting it down to 20%. The A-wing that they left to help Stormz and Earth saw the oppertunity, and came back to avenge his lost mates. It flew directly over Will and grouped up with the other remaining x-wing and attempted to come around and make another run on the imperials, which had now grouped into their flight position once more, going full speed after the rebles. soon destroying them with the combined fire power from the four fighters and the boarding ship.

Now that they were focusing on what's going on around them again, Will noticed that they had been gone a long way while the little battle was going on. The MC-80 is now less less than 5 mins away. So they picked up their speed, as the bording ship begins to line up with the MC-80. They were told that the weapontry on the cruiser was malfunctioning, so they didn't spend much time trying to destroy the cannons mounted on the side of it. But suddently, everything came to life. everysingle guns that can shoot at the boarding ship opened fire on it. Leaving Will and his flight caught in the middle of the sea of bolts. They flew through the the sea of bolts, dodging in all directions, but a few scratches here and there was unavoidable.

When they finnaly made it out of the shots, now twice as much, because the boarding ship has also opened fire on the MC-80, Will and his flight began their run, trying to destroy as much cannons as posible without damaging the ship too much. As they flew throught their first run, flying just out of the turning radius of the cannons, Will counted that they destroyed about 8 total. Good, he thought to himself, at this rate, the can get the firepower of the MC-80 under control in about 4 runs.

Once the fire was under control again, they sent out 3 swauds of boarding parties through the hangers which contained Shazam, Jack, and Laguana's ships.

(OH crap.)

Shazam sat there, pondering for a moment...  Okay, what do we know about MC-80's?  Thier extremely powerful, extremely well defended, they had enough weapons inside to invade a planet, and they could quite possibly be one of the more secure ships in the Rebellion.

The commander thought for on another thing just then, what do we have?  We have assorted firearms, a band of imperial pilots and not army men, a small boarding party that was just now reaching them, and some slight knowledge of an MC-80.  Yea, there was no way they could just walk up and take it over, it wasn't as simple as the cruiser Chip and he had taken over a while back.  This thing was full battleship, heavilly armed troops guarding the bridge at all times, security at every level with top knotch defences; it would take some time to make past even one security measure while the main battle was still going on outside.

"Guys.  We need more firepower or something, if we're even going to think about trying to capture this beast...  We need more firepower, more shortcuts, and some way to cut off forces that might harm us on our journeys.  Since we don't actually have that type of arsenal, I say we just help the men outside..."  Everyone, including the recently arrived party were watching intentively as Shazam now turned and issued a request for everyone to start firing upon the MC-80.

"Ah ha...  Well.  Not quite was I thinkin either man," Chip said breathlessly, he and his friend must have been sprinting around for a while before they all managed to find eachother.  Kind of dumb luck considering the size of this particular cruiser, if all of them would have been let go at in the hangers an hour apart, they probably wouldn't have ever found eachother, by Shazam's measure.

Chip was glancing around the walls, now feeling them with his hand, a curious look moving about his face.  Jack was glancing at the same wall now, even Laguna slightly interested.  Shazam was staring down the hall readying his weapons and trying to think of the greatest place to attack...  With the navy after this ship it wouldn't take much time to find themselves in trouble...

"You there," Chip said to man in the boarding party, sweating up a storm while supposebly being the groups leader.

"Yes sir?" he said, slightly bolder than he looked.

"Do you carry explosives at all?  Anything that is reactive?"  Shazam now stopped checking all the halls for enemy troops all though they were bound to find thier way to them.

"You think you found a weak spot?" Shazam asked.  Chip now had his head against the wall trying to pick up some sounds or vibrations.

One full armored troop had moved to the front of the pack near Shazam and was displaying his wears.  A dark briefcase styled incasing held a couple of heavy duty door charges, and on his back he was wearing some remote activated explosives that were equivelent to those used in mining.  Not bad, he thought.

"Condensation...  I think the room next door here is the center for thier water...  We shouldn't be getting water like this unless thiers an excessive amount of moisture in the air...  I don't quite know what else it would be..."  Jack glanced at Shazam in bewilderment...

"You think it will effect the infastructure of this craft?" he asked but was riveted by the sound of explosions detonating everywhere.  It had begun.  The MC-80 suddenly shook to life with supreme power, gunneries could be heard everwhere and fighter groups were still being launched.

Everyone had been flung to the sides, the small troop of board men were clutching to eachother for stability.  Shazam yelled over the noise though,"So what do you want to do?"

Chip had a slight grin on his face...  "Lets freeze this bitch..."  his eyes becoming efforvescent and extremely excited.  Everyone nodded, most of them having no idea what was going on or what anyone was talking about, but the sound of seemed to interest all of them.

"We're ganna need something cool..."  Jack said, finally starting to understand.

"Everything runs next to eachother in everything.  Everything connects to eachother, so hopefully, we'll be able to just release some of the cold they have running through some of those rubber tupes...  It looks kind of like gas when you cut it, you know..." he said, trying to let Jack have a better idea of the plan.

"I don't think it's on this floor though.  The entrance is above us I think, but the tanks are next to us right now." Chip continued.

The leader of the boarding party spoke up now,"I noticed that there haven't been any entrances to this side since we've met this area.  How big do you think those tanks are?"'

Shazam waved the idea off and then said," It doesn't matter how much water there is necessarilly...  Its how far it goes.  Ice tends to make everything around it more brittle as it expands.  If we can create a weakspot on the ship, this ship can be taken down in no time..."  The group nodded in acknoledgment but were soon interupted by the sound of footsteps and then bodies crashing to the ground as a tremendous blow was made to the shields surrounding the outside of the ship, more cannon fire...

Shazam jumped out from the side of the and looked down the three hallways that were juntioned in the exact position in which everyone was standing.  On the far left, sixteen men, most with repeating blasters and pistols, had been driving right towards them and found that the floor was no longer there after the ship rocked...  A few had managed to hurt themselves severely, but most were standing back up, firearms back up.

"They're ganna try and trap us man..." Chip screamed over the now erupting blaster fire going on within the hallways of the MC-80.  Chip rolled sideways and Shazam dove the same way while the boarding party held position and began firing at the regiment of the men; Jack had carried Laguna aside surveying the would for infection...

"Shaz, we gotta get to an elevater and get this over with or we're done for..."  He nodded and twisted around the corner and began a siries of blind shots into the volleying fire.  Chip waved to the Jack and Laguna to run past the boarding party and join them while Shazam created cover fire.

Two men in the boarding party suddenly dropped, one of them was the bomber they needed...  The commander quit his random firing, now looking for specific targets, the rest of the group had suddenly become accurate as well.  The rebels found there was nowhere to go and became extint within a few moments.  The area was now charred with several different forms of burn and Shazam had rushed over to the explosive man to unstrap his equipment.  The briefcase was pretty heavy as well as the vest Shazam now threw on containing several small explosives he hadn't noticed before.  Jack gave him a look like, don't be standing next to me when you blow...

The last thing he put on, or could put on for that matter, was the explosive back on the dead imperials back.  This was the heaviest of all and felt like a load of metal and nothing at all dangerous...

Soon though, as Shazam finished his re-arming of even larger preportions, rebels began to pour in from all sides, now aware of thier exact locations.  Twenty-two men had come down the side thier allies had just been destoyed in while another sixteen men came from the opposite.  The remaining boarding party now surrounding Shazam, Jack, Laguna, and Chip would was standing tall in the center of the group and acting like a turrent in then center of a cruiser.  The group progressed down the only open hallways now, which was now filled with about six men who were about to be followed up by twenty before a perfectly time detonation went off from the exterier of the ship.  Almost all of them were thrown into an open entryway which had a sliding door that came down from on top.  Four of five managed to knock themselves out into the walls.  The door that had been open just seconds before came crashing down, locking as it hit.

The entire group of imperials crashed into the side of the walls, the armored men on the outside protected the rest of the group from any real injuries while the remaing rebels, now enclosing together and being forced into a bottleneck by the small hallway, collapsed together and continued trying to get up.

Shazam decided to use one of his small explosives that was hooked to his vest to see if he couldn't get rid of some of the pursuers.  He unclipped the small rectangular bomb and placed on the ground were the magnets clung to it for dear life.  The rest of the group managed to pass over it safely, and Shazam stuck his arm out for a moment to tap the top which bevelled down for a moment, then popped back up, the samll red light on top blinked mischeviously, picking up speed...

The imperials now rushed down the hall at Shazam' warning of the explosion, but his instruction to take a right was mistaken to take a left when the small device suddenly burst into a series of fireworks that killed several men instantly, many charged through though and continued firing as quickly as possible.  The back of the rebels were leabing over the dead bodies of thier comrades attempting to catchup with the group who had not been affected by the blast but were simply blinded by smoke.

Holy hell...  An elevator, yes.  As he began to step in, Laguna held out his arm and tugged on Shazam's flight suite.  "I'm dying over here and your about to kill us all.  If this place is as secure as you think it is, do you really think it would be very smart to take a lift thats controlled from the bridge and probably watched...?"

Shazam slapped himself on the forehead as another man suddenly fell next to him, the few remaing board men enclosed the gap and began an array of fire...

"Then we'll take the stairs!" he said, screaming at the top of his lungs, unable to hear himself even then as more explosinos went off and more fire fight ensued.

About twenty feet downt he hall was a small stairwell that skipped every other floor, so it would be no use to them, but the group didn't know that so they simply ran up it quickly.  Shazam glanced back as he swung the door open, now out in the open facing three more open hallways which were bound to be filled with men, he noticed there were now only two board party members left and the fighter pilots, but Jack had just been saved by his metallic hand as a bolt made haste for his head; he had been trying to drag Laguna on and was wiping some sweat from his forhead as a wisp of smoke suddenly floated innocently from it.

"IN here!"  yelled Shazam.  They let off a few more blast, another board member dropped leaving only the nervous captain who seemed to be one hell of a fire fighter since the battle had erupted.  Climbing the stairwell at full speed, Shazam noticed that they were about to skip a floor and stopped the group.  Everyone now turned downwards and reigned bolts of energy upon the incoming intruders.  Chip kept glancing upward as to make sure no one would come from that end.

Shazam had gone up and felt the wall, moisture...  Not as much, but still quite a bit for just wandering around inside of an MC-80...  Man, they'd travelled down atleast two or three hallways worth, there was no telling how large this thing was.  Without even thinking to consider, Shazam opened up the breifcase before him and set the door explosive against the wall.  A large cirular peice of metal attached to the very spot he put it, magnetic?  He couldnt' atually be sure...  Four smaller explosive ends detached from the sides and were connected by a wire that would set them off into the wall.  Shazam pulled them out about four feet from the center and took a step back as he input the order to explode.  Everyone moved back a little although all the energy went directly into the wall, showering pieces of shrapnel through to the other side.  There was a muffled sound of explosion, and smoke filled the room as more fire began above them.  Shazam had covered his ears expetantly, but glanced back as a bolt grazed his right hip, sending him to the ground.

A six feet wide six feet tall hole was now sitting in the center of the wall, debris scattered about the entire area, and the body of a young women who was dressed very well lay in the ruins.  She was ganna be dead by the end of this battle anyways, he thought, trying to barder his guilt.  Shazam found he couldn't get up from his laying position though until Chip had propped him up next to him, together they climbed through the hole the last remaining imperial boarding member stayed behind trying to stop the now charging rebels; Laguna still being held on tightly by Jack's metallic arm was dragged in through the hole and followed behind Chip who was now holding Shazam up.

"We've gotta get something for that wound, and I mean fast man...  Someone got you good," said Chip, surveying the damage.

"Med-packs are for woosies..." he said indignant to Chip's concerns.  Chip ingnored it and spun around for a moment to watch the boarding parties captain fire his last shot in a war cry of glory, now with a fully automatic repeating blaster he had managed to pick up along the way.  With a deafening roar, he suddenly collapsed as the now massive amount of Rebels charged through the entrance overtaking him.  The four remaining imperials jumped to the side to protect themselves.

Chip reached down onto Shazam' vest and pulled off another mini-exposive, pushed it down quickly and tossed it into the surging mob of rebels.  The entire area burst white for a moment as many were forced back through the hole in the wall creating a road block for the rebels still stuck on the otherside.  Six still remained on the side containing the pilots though, but Jack made short work them by surprising them behind the a corner as they passed to try and capture Chip and Shazam.  They fell mercilessly to the hand of Jack, but they did not die without others to see it becuase they group stuck behind dead bodies were now filtering thier way through.

Jack picked up Laguna, he had his blaster out and was firing at anyone who crept through to the entrance, and sprinted towards Chip who was already halfway down the hall and reaching a highly fortified door.  He had wasted no time on this one and unclipped all of the remaining mini-bombs to the hinges and ran back to Shazam who he had laid in a corner.  Shazam had mustered up enough streangth to throw one of his last grenades into the army of insurgents...

The two explosives, one on the door and the other exploding in the midst of rebel troopers, ignited unanimously and triumphantly.  The door protecting the precious water on board suddenly dropped from the very position it had been sitting and fell forward.  Chip dragged Shazam's near delirious body into the room as Jack let off a burst of fire into the crowd of rebels who were now flinging themselves into the blaster fire like morons.

Dragging Laguna as Chip had Shazam, he continued to hold the trigger towards the man-made entrance at the end of the hall while making his way to the entrance.

Once inside, Chip laid Shazam against the entrance, he had snuck his blaster around the corner and was now providing Jack with the necessary cover fire as he pulled Laguna threw the door with both hands.

The ship was rocked once again by enemy fire and more men flew from their position, more dramatically then ever, Chip found himself flying onto a glass case of water about a block long...  Jack flipped over the railing that led down a stairs into the water compartment.  Shazam glanced at the sheer size of the thing as Laguna threated to roll off the platform he was sitting on.  The room was absolutely huge, one of the largest swimming pools he'd ever seen, he throught to himself as men now ran from the opposite hallway.  Shazam, held the trigger and many of them died at that moment.  The group that was coming now stopped and hid behind the corner thinking there was some kind of rapid fire army barricading themselves within the waterworld.

Chip sat up, regaining contiousness after completely blacking out and disappearing for about a minute.  He immedietly remembered what was going on and checked to see how Shazam was doing, which was bad and under heavy fire but he figured he'd just get the job done, reguardless of whether they survived or not.  Maybe this was the end, probably, Shazam seemed to accept it pretty well as he savigly ripped into the rebel forces now attack from both sides.  Shazam could only attack one side at a time, well, for a moment.  That was before he now no longer cared about even getting out and unslung his flamethrower which he brandished with malice.  Holding that trigger as well as the fire mechanism on the E/11 pointing the opposite direction.  The entire right side of the hallway was encased in flames and death while the other simply continued to pour death...

Shazam was beggining to lose continousness though and moved began dropping his blaster although still holding the trigger.

Chip had made his way to where all the pipe began to expore the ship and disconnected a coolent wire about four inches thick from the wall.  Chip climbed onto a small scafold as the ice came boring out in a gaseous form, he had taken his blaster to the glass casing around which the water was being stored and punctured it just slightly.  Throwing the rubber tubing upon the hold, it sunk into the water for a moment without any reaction; Jack had set Laguna underneath the stairwell which Shazam was loosing the ability to see on top.  The coolent suddenly turned the water to ice and a stream of ice suddenly pread through the entire system and through the piping of the side in which the imperials found themselves.  After about a half a minute of freezing, several cracks could be heard on that side of the ship, Jack could even here it over the fire of the enemy as he tried to help Shazam.  Laguna, although slipping into deep sleep from his wound even heard the cracks.  The pipes in the wall closest to Chip began to expand and then pieces began to fall, larger and larger.  Suddenly, an area of pipes exploded with shame exposing an entrance to the floor which all the imperials had originally entered on.

A leak of hope!  Chip sprinted to Laguna who was just gone all of the sudden and screamed to Jack to get Shazam.  Jack let off a furocious round of fire and picked up his friend on his shoulder and sprinted down the stairs to where Chip had jumped off and found his exit.  The rebels poured into the area blasting everything and were dropped from twenty feet as Shazam's vest that had been left behind burst into flames underneath the stairwell.

The four imperials leaped through the open hole and now flew down the hall in which they knew thier ships were still awaiting.  Chip had Laguna and was sprinting towards his ship in the hanger bay which was surrounded by rebels investigating the fighter.  The imperial pilot burst through the entrance with a second wind and began to fire with amazing accuracy, the adrenenline was pumping through him as it had never before.

"Get out of my ship!" he screamed at the man who was about to rip open the controls and was now standing through the hatch.  He jumped out quickly and still found himself laying on the ground crippled by the intense burns of a blaster.  Chip jumped into the ship, throwing Laguna behind the seat powered up his figher and made way, speechless at his performance and the fact he'd managed to get out without any real injuries.

Shazam was still in the midst of battle with Jack though, he was racing for his own fighter when his commanding officer told him to take a right.

"What?  Are you insane, the fighters right there man!"  Yes, infact there wasn't a single being alive in the hanger bay, but Shazam demanded he take him to Page, his loyal Viper which probably be more able to get the out through the battle alive to one of the ISDs.  Jack didn't bother to argue and started sprinting.

As he reached the entrance to the hanger bay, he found non here either except for two ment trying to cut open a door to a utility shed within the hanger.  Shazam dismissed them as he pulled his blaster and let them have it.  At that point, he closed his eyes and slept, losing life...

Jack jumped into the ship and he found it was sittin in idle, waiting for its owner to return with good news.  Instead, he found a total stranger with his owner draped over his shoulders, but felt compelled to fly none the less.  A legion of men suddenly burst into the hanger bay formed combined fire upon the small fighter.

The ship roared to life as Jack threw Shazam over the seat and turned the engine...

The fighter rose from where it sat and floated, Jack still trying to figure out the controls to the fighter, a bit new to him...  His spun it around slowly as the shields starting moving down very steeply, the rebels now had about twenty or thirty men sitting in the hanger bay just firing at the ship.

Fully turned, Shazam glanced up coming out of his coma for just a second, looking at the endless expanse of space and the ongoing battle he was sure to return to as soon as he was healed up.  He dropped just then as Jack pushed the throttle to full and they fled the hanger bay...

(Kind of rushed it there at the end...  But oh well.  Got the job done...)

Jack, sitting in the cockpit of Shazam's fighter with Shazam, couldn't help but think of his TIE Aggressor. Shazam saw the look on Jack's face.

"There's nothing you could do about it," Shazam said.

Then, Jack thought of something. "Shazam, do you have a datapad in here?"

"Sure," Shazam said, handing him one.

"Bingo," Jack said as he plugged the datapad into his artifical right arm.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm getting my Aggressor back."

Jack hit a few buttons, and out of the MC-80's hangar came Jack's fighter, roaring toward Shazam's fighter.

"Yeah!" Jack yelled in excitement.

(Sorry it's short, just wanted my fighter back!)

Laguna arose in the small compartment in the back of the fighter as they turned and he slammed into the wall.  His head throbbed with an enormous pain.  He looked around the seat to see one of his fellow pilots at the cock-pit position.  It was chip.  One of the people in the Navy that Laguna really didn't know much about.

Another shot of pain ran through his body.  He looked down at his arm.  From a few inches from the elbow down, it was gone.  He remembered back to the interrogation.  Why me? he thought.  Why me?

Chip looked back for a moment and realized that Laguna had awoken.

"Good to see you're back around.  Shaz is down too, but not as bad as you it seems.  We are taking you back to the Devastator.

Laguna mumbled a bit, the words wouldn't come out.  He tried to lift his head to say something, but he blacked out again.

(Sure you can...  Watch me...)

Jack steadied the ship as he made for an ally group for cover, the battle still blurring on in a haze of red, green and pitch black.  Shazam had managed to find the med kit underneath the back of his pilot's seat and had injected himself with some random shots, not quite aware of thier effects.  The first one he took gave him nothing more than a quick prick of pain which Shazam wasn't overly fond of, but the second one had an immediate effect that made his body tingle all over.  He looked in mirror that was attached to the inside cover of the lid, he was pretty pale and whenever he touched something his skin turned red from making contact with the inner layers of his skin.

Propping himself up against a wall, Shazam continued to stick himself with random drugs that could mess him up pretty good if he wasn't careful.  Before long, the first shot suddenly revealed itself in full force and the pilot became extremely drowsy and one of his arms was going numb while his legs lost any and all control.  Shazam, fatigued beyond anything he'd ever seen or heard welcomed the sleepy sensation with open arms and didn't bother to try and dispell the charms upon him.

Jack, still making his way to the allied fighter group, glanced back at his squadron commander and sat up in horror as Shazam continued to melo out out in front of a series of open containors.  Oh no...  He's delerious, Jack thought to himself as Shazam began to make puppets out of his socks which he'd removed without even thinking about it.

A wide grin had spread across the Nazgul pilot as he watched his commanding officer make to socks make out, but it turned grim as the man's eyes starting turning in his head as if he were a lunatic.  Keeping his eyes on the viewport, Jack reached for the open first aid kit which had many potions scattered about inside like a medieval which's incredient list.

Jack thought Shazam's condition was serious enough to take his eyes off the road for a second and begant to rumage through the various medicines, looking for a nuetralizer that would egistinguish the drugs making thier way throughout his friends body.

"Ah ha," he said triumphantly as Page was suddenly hit by four seperate targets.  Jack spun around, dropping the bottle which had taken a short while to find, and trying to figure out where to go...  The little radar within the dash of the StarViper was alive with worry, four three X-wings and one basterd A-wing.  The A-wing assumed its position ahead of the X-wings as they all joined together behind Page.  Right, rebels, no problem...

The tie-fighters that had so patiently awaited the arrival of the Nazgul commander and XO were now fleeing valiantly from the incomming enemy fighters...

(Ah, very well...  Now then, hopefully Jack can post on the subject and be creative as well, not that mine was very creative at all...)
