I have been a Star Wars gamer for who knows how long (10+ years), and I've been around long enough to see multitudes of gaming clans come and go. Upon receiving an invitation to join The Vast Empire, I was somewhat reluctant because of the lifespan and seriousness of typical gaming clans, but I soon found that The Vast Empire was not some everyday fly-by-night clan.
This Star Wars club/organization (not clan) has become a big positive in both my real life and cyber life. I have become a better writer and have turned in actual stories that I've written for The Vast Empire into English classes for extra credit, and I've learned a lot of knowledge about Star Wars history, technology, etc.
The people in this club are just a real good bunch of folks: fun, humorous, and very helpful. I will be celebrating my 5th year as a member of The Vast Empire in September 2005, and I look forward to the coming years.

Hello I am DJ234 of Nazgul Squad of the Vast Empire Navy. I have just recently joined this group and I love this place already. It feels like home and everyone here is my family.

Few years ago I was playing an SW flight sim game online and someone told me about Vast Empire Club.
At first I thought it was just another Combat Clan, but then i realized that it was not. Vast Empire are filled with everything. From Role-Playing, Flight Sim, Stock Sim, Web Designing and lots more. We even do Competition now and then either against other squadron or other Club, it's fun.
We have lots of activity you can choose. If you prefer to be a pilot, we have the Imperial Navy. If you prefer being a ground soldier, we have the Stormtrooper Corps. And if you prefer designing or programming, we have the Engineering Corps.
Don't worry about being confused, We have training officers ready to help you out the day you join us. We even have a weekly meeting to let all of you know the progress of Vast Empire.
As your experiences and dedication towards the Empire grow, so does your positions and your wages. With that, you may able to buy something like my guitar here to add spice on your story which is available at our Imperial Center Store.

Joining the Vast Empire can be quite overwhelming at first since there is so much involved. After you join, you'll be getting a series of training emails (depending on which division you join) that will help to guide you along the path to becoming an integral part of the Imperial Forces.
In order to join the Vast Empire and journey into the Star Wars Universe, you are going to need to fill out an online application. Make sure to fill in as much information as possible so we'll know what type of experience you've had with the Empire.

Greetings, I'm Jack Nebulax, but you can just call me Jack. I've been in this great Star Wars-based club since August of 2004. Okay, I know, it really isn't a long time. Anyhow, I'm part of the Imperial Navy, the branch of the Vast Empire dealing with space battles. It's pretty darn cool, that's for sure. The Vast Empire is all about fun, not hard work.
Here, I'll explain my job in the VE to you. So, get ready, pull up a chair, get some drinks and a snack or two.
Currently, I am officially known as Petty Officer 1st Class Jack "Zax" Nebulax, Executive Officer of Nazgul Squadron. My job as an XO is to help the men and women around me in my squadron by serving as backup commander in case our Commanding Officer (CO) is not available.
Those are my main jobs, among others. The Squadron Commander of Nazgul Squadron, Shazam, he's my boss, he's in charge of the Nazgul flyboys. Everything we do has to be put past him and get his approval before he sends it out to our Wing Commander, JMac. Then he passes it up to Japheth, the greatest Naval Commander that ever did live.
Basically, life as a recruit really isn't that tough. All you have to do is post a "New Recruit" post either in the Naval Academy of the Stormtrooper Academy on the Message Boards (depending on which subgroup you plan to join). People will help you out there and welcome you. Then, pass the basic test in your subgroup's academy (if you finish it fast and correctly, you might just get a promotion and a nice, shiny medal!) and soon you'll be placed in either a squad or a squadron, again depending on which group you join.
No matter what you do here, just remember to be nice, have fun, play fairly, and you'll be having pletty of friends and on heck of a great time.
