Yillis stood outside the dropship, waiting for his squad to all arrive. Squall was the first to arrive.

“Ah Good, someone I actually need to talk to.”

“Uhh.”

“Right, anywho, since you know we need to demo this MC90, and you’re a combat engineer, I’m putting 2 and 2 together on this one. You’ll be carrying the explosives,  we’ll be targeting the engery core, so it would have to be too much, but it’s still a hefty load, you prolly will die.”

“What…”

“I’m joking, lighten up. Here’s the goods.” Yillis tossed Squall backpack looking bag, and Squall toss it around his shoulders to test the weight.

“Why am I beeping…”

“Whoops…” Yillis reach around and flicked a switch on the bag. “That’s the important switch there, I’d watch out for that one.”

Squall slowly turned away from Yillis and entered the ship, muttering something under his breath.

The rest of the squad was showing up at this time, and everyone made their way into the dropship. Yillis went up to the pilot’s and talked with them for a bit. When he came back, he informed them it was getting very close to go time.

“Ok boys, We’re nearing the drydock, this Victory can’t hold out much longer. You all know the mission,  take out the most finished MC90 then take over the next. I’m not a liar, we may have casualties, but I’m telling you now, you’ll never be forgotten.”

“We’re green!” The pilots voice came over com system, and the ship jerked as he started maneuvering out. Dropping out the hanger door, the drydock filled the transparisteel.  He punched it, and they flew in towards one of MC90’s.

Red flashes flew by the ship, and explosions rocked it back and forth.

“Gunny, get your squad ready, we can barely slow to jumping speeds, or we’ll get shot.”

Yillis waved his hands in the form up motion, and the squad positioned itself beside the door, ready to jump out and start annihilating some rebel scum. The ship made its way right down to one of the catwalks connecting from the main drydock to the MC90 and the door flew open. Yillis was the first to jump out, and the speed they we travelling as soon as his feet hit, his entire upper body got pushed forward, ending in him flipping completely over, landing on his back and sliding 3 meters down the catwalk. The rest of the squad quickly followed suit, but with all landing on their feet.

All the rebel technicians were frozen at the sudden appearance of the stormtrooper squad falling out of the sky.  Yillis heard Tanus sneer, and the entire squad started lighting up the catwalk.

“TO THE MC90!” Yillis ordered his squad.

Durandal walked quietly up to the dropship with the rest of the crew, and watched and Yillis gave Squall a hefty looking bag. Durandal looked down at his own rifle, a DC-17 m interchangable Combat System, it was his personal trusty side arm and he always tried to bring it when protacol allowed it, and he read the ammo count on the gun, making sure it was full, then made sure the safety was on, the ride was bound to be bumpy on those ships, and he didn't want to kill a teammate.

He looked over at Urakai and smiled behind his mask and elbowed him, "Nervous?" he said.

Urakai shook his head immediately and from the man's speaker he heard him reply, "Nope, just another day in hell."

Durandal nodded and jumped up on the ship, and strapped himself in, putting his rifle below him. He quietly watched the others fall suit and felt things were going just a bit too fast as the ship suddenly lurched out. He had barely heard the pilot shout out, "We're green!" over the comm.

He shook his head and colmed himself as the ride started, it was hectic as the small drop ship worked it way to the bay. and as we sat there, as vulnerable as ever, dreading only one thing, a squad's worst nightmare, the ship burning up before we land. The squad was helpless till deployed, but once we were deployed we could take care of anything.

But as we sped toward our drop point, red flashed everywhere the ship shaking every once in a while it felt like an eternity till we would get there, and Durandal felt sick at one point from the nausiating flashes and shaking.

But he cooled himself and finally after only a few minutes that seemed like an eternity, the doors opened and Yillis dropped out first, the momentum of the still moving dropship caused him to fall over, and the other dragoons waited only seconds, then jumped out themselves.

Durandal jumped second after Urakai, and followed by Zafo, "to the MC90!" Yillis shouted, and they began to surround the Gunnery Seargent till he could recover as they opened up on the rebel technicians.

The rebels went down with little fight and Durandal moved up to the edge of the wall and peered around it, there were a few more technicians which he quickly disposed and the team started to move up.

Durandal turned back to the squad leader, "This room is clear for the moment sir, which way?"

Orobos sat in the shuttle as it dropped into the battle which was in full sway. The ship jerked left and right as it brought us lower. Yillis stood up and in front of the door. The rest of the squad formed up behind him with they're weapons set and ready. The door opened up to a chorus of loud bangs and explosions.

Orobos stood behind the group ready for the jump; the rattling of the shuttle as it brought them closer to their drop zone making him wonder if this thing would hold any longer.

The rest of the squad started jumping and then it came his turn. He waited a second and jumped out with barley any time to notice red flashes all around him before hitting the ground and rolling.

Orobos got up from his roll just to see the rest of the squad finishing of some Rebel technicians that had been unlucky enough to be right in our drop zone. Orobos glanced around. There wasn't anyone else around as far as he could see apart from the rest of the squad.

He took up position near the front of the group as Durandal set of and glanced around the corner.
Orobos noted how quiet it was around the MC-90. There was some distant explosions and red flashes in the distance. Apart from that though there seemed to be little activity around the MC-90.

He heard Durandal ask Yillis "What next sir?" WE all glanced at Yillis. "To our target." WE set out around the corner which Durandal was at towards the nearly complete MC-90.

Tanus ran to the gunship, his newest weapon, the Samurai Edge, resting silently on his hip. It’s black and gray frame contrasted nicely with his start white armor. In his arms rested an EE-3 blaster rifle. What ever waited for Tanus on the ground, he’d be ready. Tanus ran into the gunship as Yillis ordered them in. He was the last one to leave before the gunship leaped out of the launch bay and towards the planet. As they descended into the atmosphere, the ship began to shake as the turbulence rocked the ship’s hull. Tanus bounced a couple of times before the bay doors opened and the Dark Dragoons jumped out. Tanus sneered as the Rebel Technicians all gave them frightful and stunned looks as Stormtroopers cam falling out of the sky. Yillis saw the look on his face and smiled.

“To the MC90!” Yillis shouted.

On his command, the Dragoons opened up a hail of gunfire that lit up the technician’s posts, dropping them like flies. Tanus ran forward, firing the whole time as Rebel after Rebel fell under his barrage. Eventually, they were stopped by some of the rebel security forces. The Dragoons made quick work of them when the rebels realized they were outnumbered two to one.

Eventually, they came to a crossroads. “Which way, boss man?” Tanus heard from the squad.

“This way,” Yillis pointed, and the Dragoons grew ever closer to their target.

Durandal looks down toward the hallway that Yillis had pointed to and nodded, "I'll take point sir."

And with that Durandal started jogging across the large room towards the first hallway door which would lead them to the first bay where the first MC90 was.

As they approached the door Durandal motioned them to get to the side. they all moved in concert, getting to the side just as Durandal opened the door. And just as Durandal moved to peek around the corner the station was hit from space, and it felt as though the whole station was moving.

Durandal rolled on the floor and recovered in time to see a group of rebels shooting at him. He shot back and one of them fell, causing them to take cover for a moment, but then as one they all rose up and opened up on Durandal.

Whether it was by luck, skill, or some unordained spirit Durandal didn't know for sure, but he managed to roll out of the way just as the bolts passed him.

As he rolled off to the side, Yillis and Urakai poked around the corner and provided cover fire while squall threw a grenade in the area. It went off with a loud bang and after few second everything in the immediate area settled.

Durandal got up and shook himself, making sure everything was still functional. After a moments inspection he nodded and Yillis pointed down the hallway, "Lets get moving boys, we got a lot to do. Durandal, keep point."

After taking out the technichians the squad had set out towards they're target encountering little resistence apart from some rebel secuirity. They were dis-orginised (compared to Imperial forces) and went down without much of a fight. They moved on inhindered.

The usual flashes from the anto aircraft turrets seemed to be dying down which unerved him. That either ment that they couldn't shoot or there was nothing to shoot at. He ignored it and tried to focus on the mission but it kept nagging him.

He glanced at the sky and could still see aircraft up there but they were too far away to see if they were friendly or not. there was still a good deel of fighting of in the distance. Maybe are forces ecured this area. Or the enemy had.

They had been moving for some time and didn't seem to be getting any closer to they're target. After what felt like hours of running they reached it.

Durandal was at point and opened the door and moved in. He was gone in a flash and a second later bolts filled the space he had been occupying only moments before. Squall trough in a grenade and seconds later it was all over. The squad moved into the room and after a quick search was pronounced clear.

They moved over to the nearest door only to find it was locked and heavily reinforced. Orobos sighed, "looks like we'll have to take the long way 'round" They set of through the door on the other side of the room.

[OCC: I feel there is some confusion as to where we actually are, so don’t mind the fact that I threw us into the MC-90]

After exhausting some effort, the Dark Dragoons finally found themselves passing into the MC-90. The ship’s insides shined  from lack of habitation. It seemed Zafo wasn’t the only one slightly taken aback.

“And  we get to blow it up...Sweet.” Zafo said with extreme coolness.

“Unless you get blown up first, take cover!” Shouted Yillis, and not a moment too soon. A squad of six rebels was rushing the squad, blasters drawn. The Dragoons dove for cover. Zafo’s eyes darted around looking for his cover. He found it, and threw himself through the air like he had done so many times before.

However, this time, he wouldn’t be so lucky. He saw one of the soldiers raise his rifle to take aim. The barrel was pointed straight at him. Everything was happening in slow motion, though Zafo felt no control over his own body. He saw the bright red energy pocket fly from the tip of the rifle and head straight towards him. Suddenly conscious of his fate, Zafo tried to jerk his shoulder out of the way. His efforts were futile and the energy pocket blasted through his armour and pierced his shoulder.

The veteran Dragoon crashed to the floor in a piercing scream of agony. Zafo had suffered minor grazes in the past, but nothing nearly as serious as this. The shoulder area of his stormtrooper armour was completely shattered.

“My Shoulder! My F*cking Shoulder!” Zafo was no screaming uncontrollably, armour splinters gashed open his already destroyed shoulder. His surroundings swayed around, melting into each other. Black spots were creeping in from the borders of his vision. Blood was dripping from his crimson shoulder to a growing puddle on the floor. Lights were flashing everywhere and eventually ceased.

“Zafo’s hurt! Bad!”

The voice was indistinguishable. An unexplainable force sat him up, extending his frail consciousness.

“Shit! This is not good. Yillis, call for a ship NOW!”

Zafo’s consciousness was in a very drifted state. His body was almost beginning to shut down. Somewhat aware of his situation, he made all efforts to keep the hazy surroundings in perspective. After god knows how long or how quickly, his limp body was being carried away. To where, he could not understand. To be chucked overboard? No...he wasn’t dead yet, was he?

His last distinguishable thoughts and feelings were that of relief. The familiar feeling of bacta had never felt so good in his entire life. There was a feeling of weightlessness one often experiences during space travel. Then, there was nothing.

[OCC: Well guys, I’m off to Jester now. Figured I’d pick a dramatic way to get myself out of the story.]

Tanus stood by as he watched Zafo die on the ground. He was one of his good friends, and he couldn’t save him at all. His blood was boiling as red thunder galloped across his brain. He was racked with hatred, a red and black swirl in his soul. Tanus spun around and eyed the rebel that had taken Zafo down. He looked him in the eyes, and knew his time was over. Tanus gunned him down in a hail of gunfire, lighting his body up with at least 20 blaster bolts. He then turned to the next two rebels and opened fire on them, watching as their corpses fell to the ground like cut marionettes.

He turned around once more and pulled the trigger on his EE-3, but realized it was out of ammo. He tossed it aside and drew his Samurai Edge and opened fire, putting four bullets into a rebel hiding behind a small group of crates. Tanus walked over to the rebel and saw that he still wasn’t dead, but grievously wounded. Tanus put a bullet in his brain and picked up his EE-3, shoving a fresh power pack into the cylinder.

Tanus walked forward, holding his rifle in his arms as Yillis lead the way to the bridge. Every so often, they ran into a firefight. At this point, Tanus didn’t even care. He just wanted to complete the mission and get out of here. As the squad entered the lift that would take them to the bridge, the lights flickered and klaxons started to blare.

“Oh great,” Tanus muttered.

Right after he said that, the lift stopped moving. Yillis ripped off the button panel and started tinkering with the wiring. Tanus looked up at the door leading to the top of the lift. Tanus pointed his rifle up and pulled the trigger, blasting the door into millions of fragmented pieces. He then put his rifle on his back and jumped up, hauling himself out of the hole he had made. Tanus put his hand down and started to pull the remaining members of the Dragoons out. When they were all accounted for, Yillis pointed towards the door leading to their floor. Urakai nodded and pulled himself up to the door and planted a charge on it. He primed it and hopped back down and aimed his rifle at the door. The Dragoons waited for the countdown to hit zero, their rifles trained on the door.

3…2…1…0

The door blew outward. The dragoons hopped the small amount of space between the top of the lift to the floor and ran forward. They got to the main bridge. Yillis pulled out his datapad and plugged it into the main frame, hacking the door’s password. As it opened, twenty or so armed rebels greeted them. Tanus merely raised his rifle and peered down its scope.

Just another day at the office

And then, Tanus and the rest of the Dragoons unleashed a hailstorm of red death. Within minutes, the guards were dead or dying. Yillis stood in front of the group.

“Let’s wrap this up and get the hell out of here.”

Orbos was crouched down behind some crates as a group of rebels fired at them. He risked a glance and saw there was about six of them. He let of two shots, one going wide and the other glancing of a crate. There was a gasp of pain behind him and he looked over his shoulder to see Zafo and the ground cradling his arm. There was blood all over his shoulder. The shoulder plate had imploded from the force of the blast with which had hit him. Yillis was standing over him as he called for a shuttle.

As he was lifted into the shuttle that Yillis had called for him he wondered how many of us would have to be shipped of like that before the mission was over.

He turned and trained his rifle on one of the rebels but before he could get a round of Tanus had shot him to pieces and was moving on to the next one. Once the rebels were taking care of they moved on into the MC-90. After navigating their way through seemingly endless, white, shining corridors they made it to a lift.

They stopped at the lift as Yillis took care of the doors. They had been in the lift 1 minute when it stopped moving but the doors didn't open. There was a blast and he glanced up to see Tanus jump through a hole in the ceiling and quickly followed him through, hauling himself up onto the lift.

They blew a hole in the doors to the bridge and as they made it through two dozen rebels or so opened fire on them. Orobos leveled his blaster and began picking them of. 4.. 5..6 he counted before the shooting stopped. He looked around at the bodies strewn across the floor of the ship. The floor was covered with blood from any wounds that weren't caused by blasters.

They took up defensive positions around the room. Orobos stood by the door they had just come through, staying alert. yillis and Squall were by a console looking through the bag which Squall had been carrying. He turned back and kept his eyes
and his blaster on the door.

It was all fun and games until someone got hurt. Urakai had been on a long leave, and needed the action to get his mind straight, but it all fell out of order as Zafo was wounded. While the Dragoons shuffled around in the lift, ready for action, Urakai was just deep in thought.

Man, I’m supposed to be a combat medic. What was I thinking, try to call a shuttle while the others took care of Zafo?

He was looking forward to using his specially modified weapon on this mission, but never had a chance. His mind was wandering too much to make him remember. All of a sudden, his thoughts had cut off, right at the moment the doors opened. Fortunately, the rest of the squad was more alert then himself, which lead to the quick blasting of twenty or so rebels.

“Wow, that was quick.” Urakai commented, walking out of the lift after everyone else.

“Man, get your head in the battle.” Squall responded, kicking a dead rebel for fun.

Yillis surveyed the room before turning to the rest of the squad, “Alright, let’s wrap this up and get the hell out of here.”

“Not too far to the control room now.” Tanus commented.

Just then, clanking and noises were heard throughout the ship. It was probably more rebels fleeing the ship, but the squad wasn’t going to risk it, and so all eyes were on the door as they slowly advanced. Then Urakia remembered his weapon in his pack he had been carrying around all the time. This made him wonder as he thought how in the world he forgot it. Orobos and Squall were the ones nearest to the door, as it was almost opened. Then, Urakai opened the pack, and out it came.

“Two inches thick durasteel padding with magnetic razors and foldable extensions. My specially modified Electrostaff.” Urakai whispered to himself, pulling out the electrostaff.

The efficient thing was that it was foldable. Urakai quickly connected the ends and with the slip of the small switch, both ends ignited into the electrical magnetic spark. It made the durasteel glow purple and pink. Before Urakai could realise it, the room was flooding with rebels, most holding blaster rifles or pistols, and some technicians with vibroblades. Most of the squad was, by now, taking shelter among the consoles for cover, while still blasted the hell out of the rebels.

Showtime, Urakai thought, swinging his electrostaff around to strap a rebel right in the throat, burning his neck. Awesome!

Urakai quickly rolled out of the way of blasts, flashing past him. The rebels seemed to have come from a vent which apparently wasn’t finished. The squad were quickly blasting away each rebel at a time, while Urakai clashed at them. Soon, the last rebel had been fried, and the squad quickly reformed.

“I think vibro axes are better.” Orobos chuckled at Urakai.

With that, Urakai folded the electrostaff and withdrew his blaster rifle again as the squad moved on down the halls, when they were abruptly brought to a halt.

“Turrets!” Tanus called from in front, blasting one of them as it rolled out of the ceiling.

“Keep moving!” Yillis called as the rest of the squad rushed, Urakai and Squall at the back.

Blaster fire seemed to be coming from anywhere as the Dragoons kept their eyes open, blasting at any sign of movement. They soon came to main control console, but as they saw it, it was quickly shut out by a thick sliding door. The door console, apparently on the outside, seemed to be inactive as well.

“Oh that’s great.” Tanus sighed, nearing the door.

Squall walked over, took a long glance and said, “Maybe if we had some sort of electro magnetic droid…”

Everyone was silent as Urakai ignited his electrostaff.

“Anyone got a plan B?” Urakai smirked.

Orobos ran towards the door the turrets behind him blasting away. He still had hiss vibro-axe in his hand from the previous combat, which had been a bit crammed. He holstered it in a sling on his back and took out his heavy blaster rifle . He thought it would come in handy as the standard E-11 blasters tended to be a bit inacurate.

As they neared the doors he relised they were locked and with more and more turrets unfolding behind them they only had a couple of seconds to get them open. He trained his blaster at the consol on the right hand side of the door hoping it would work. There was a flash as Urakais' electro staff flickered to life once again.

Orobos spun around and started firing on the turrets to give us a little more time. The rest folowed suit. A few of the turrets further along the corridor burst into flames but there was still a few left. The doors opened with a crackle of electricity. They ran through them flashes from the turrets folowing them through the door.

THey ran along a few more corridors encountering the occasianal rebel who was in the process of navigating others towards the nearest exits. They reached a cross section at the end of the of the halls and spotted a rebel technician shouting something at a group around him and pointing down a corridor leading of to his right. The squad ran towards them the technicians ran down the hall which the leader had been poinitng down, terror evident on they're faces before they disappeared around the corner.

The squad pursuid them along the halls until the spotted them disappear through a hatch which must lead out of the MC-90. The followed them out of it and into the darkness on the platform. Orobos looked up and say a few Tie's swoop overhead the unmistakable whine they made ringing in his ears. All they neaded now was a shuttle.

Tanus’ rifle was hot in his hands. It had been given quite a workout. In the short time he had been on the MC90, he had been close to dying any number of times, and for once, one of his friends wasn’t so lucky. When the squad reached the door, it was shut tight. Squall gestured to the panel; it was shut down. Tanus turned and saw one of the parts of the wall opening up, releasing a turret. Tanus quickly fired a burst from his rifle, blasting it into tiny pieces. Then all of a sudden, Tanus heard the sizzle of electricity behind him. Urakai stood there with his electrostaff, the purple-pink light putting his face in an eerie glow.

“Anyone have a Plan B?” he asked with a smirk.

Tanus merely shook his head and chuckled. “Urakai, you never cease to amaze me. Do it up.”

Tanus turned his back and guarded the hall as Urakai went to work. Within thirty seconds, the door was gone. Tanus ran through it, mowing down all the rebels he saw. Over the klaxons, he heard an electronic voice saying, “Priority One Alert: Evacuate.” Tanus merely laughed. Yeah, fine time to announce that now… Soon, Tanus came to a set of interconnecting hallways. The Dragoons looked around. Soon, they saw a Rebel, leading others to safety. Tanus ran headlong at him. The rebel saw him and bolted out the open door. When Tanus opened it, he walked into the bright sunlight. Soon, Tanus heard the whine of TIE fighters streaking through the air, laying fire down on the ground units trying to escape.

Tanus turned and saw some rebels running up a flight of stairs. He pointed to them and the Dragoons gave chase. Up the stairs the Dragoons went, bringing down any Rebel foolish enough to try and stop them. As they ran past a row of viewports, Tanus saw some shuttles coming into view. He figured it was the prize crew. They had to get to the roof, and quickly. As they rounded a corner, turrets opened fire on them. Tanus tossed a grenade down the hallway, blowing both turrets to oblivion. At the end of the hallway was a thick durasteel door. It was locked. Tanus didn’t even need to tell Urakai, who had leaped into view and was already working on the door.

Seconds later, the door fell open, revealing a blue sky with visions of the fight overhead. As they ran forward, they saw some rebel techs running for the platform. Tanus aimed and fired, as did the rest of the squad. The few rebels that made it took cover and began firing back, and forced the Dragoons to take cover. The firefight continued for several minutes. Then Tanus looked up, and his heart sank. A rebel gunship started to fly in low, arming its main cannons.

“Guys, we don’t have the firepower to take that thing out! Fall back!”

Then a crackle came over the radio.

“You may not have the firepower, but we do.”

Seconds later, two TIE Interceptors swooped in and pummeled the gunship with laser fire. The light battle ship didn’t stand a chance, and fell to the fighter’s fire. The titanic explosion engulfed the landing pad, killing all the rebels in its path. Luckily, the Dragoons were out of its reach. After the smoke cleared, a shuttle bearing the Vast Empire’s insignia dropped out of the sky, flanked by two gunships. All three landed, releasing the VE prize crew. The commanding officer came forward to Yillis.

“What’s the situation?”

Yillis straightened up. “We took the ship, its effectively ours now. There are some rebels still around, so remain sharp.”

The commanding officer nodded. “Here, General Fury said to take the shuttle back up to the star destroyer above. God speed, Seargeant.”

Yillis nodded and brought the squad aboard the shuttle. Soon the lift door closed. Tanus felt the lurch as the shuttle lifted off of the ground. When he looked out of the window, the MC90 and the ground beneath it were fading into nothing but a memory.

Give people more than they expect, and do it cheerfully. This is especially true of treachery.

Never betray a confidence. Unless it's Tuesday. Or a month with a vowel in it.
