Takin a look at your area, Cos, inspired me to search for the places in the show 'the OC.' Lol- I couldn't help myself. I found the actual house that the first scenes were done in, the place where they take all their overhead shots- NewPort looks incredible btw- and where the house is 'supposed' to be. I wonder how often that thing updates though. -----------------------

I'm just going to be the devil's advocate for a second here, aren't we being a bit trusting of each other when we try to pinpoint exactly where our houses are.
I understand that we have a pretty tight knit group here in the VE, but that doesn't mean one of us couldn't be lying about who they really are. I mean, any one of you who breaks into my pad is either gonna: a) get attacked by my doge, b) whacked in the head by my wife's mace, c) gored by whatever sharp object I'm near, or d) get maced and cuffed by campus police (which pretty much act as our private police force). There are other options, but those are the high points.
Not everyone has that convenience, much less the desire to maim random strangers like that.
I would advise, as with most online activities, that if you are under 18, at least ask your folks before adding your nick to the map. That said, I'm having a lot of fun finding out where some of you are, and also getting a bit bummed on where we used to have people and don't anymore. -----------------------

I think VEers are generally a bunch of harmless nerds, so I would say things are still pretty safe.
That said, there are alot of other online communities out there where people are not so decent and hence it is always prudent to get into the habit of excercising caution. -----------------------
