Anywho- here's what we're going to do: games, personal stories, team stories, biographies, website work, graphics: whatever have you- no competition necessary though.  WHAT!  The theory, in summary, as I reiterated to my good man Willtconq, is that everyone here in the Navy is way, way too high strung and people just can't keep active with everyone else- no one is at the same pace and its important we accept that rather than oppose the motion of the ocean.  Furthermore, I'm sure many, many of the people around here agree that the Wing Story has gotten boring, hard to understand or outright hostile- I agree.  It's also important to know that each of you had the opportunity to take this story over- only after no one moved did I begin to suggest storylines: I'm kind of tired of it myself.  *Shrugs*  So I figure the next best things to me making these ingenius stories up for you is to make some of your own, without any pressure of course, and just go at your own pace.  In fact, all of the below activities are to be done at our own rate: activity is good, but there's no need for everyone to run the same race, nor should they run it at the same time.  IN short: enjoy

Stories

Through the next month or so, everyone will be alowed to enter in any story they like- that means personal, teams or otherwise: no squadrons.  Does everyone understand that?  Absolutely no squadron stories- I'd like everyone to get away from that for a while because, while my original idea to install autonomy in our flights was uncessful, I believe I can still get that security in the every day pilot- that means you!  So, as clearly as I can say this, everyone is free to make thier own stories up and join any story, any number of stories for that matter, as long as they continue to be active in those stories: that's the only catch: try to stick with a story once you're in it.  If you decide you don't like it- sure, go for another.

What I would really, really appreciate out of this is if you guys let the boys and girls in your squadrons know what your stories are about and give 'em updates: help eachother out, give suggestions and just figure out what's fun.  Also- these stories don't have to be realistic if you don't want: I might go get myself some chocobo's.  Whatever floats your boat!  As to whether or not these have to be Star Wars based: I'm not sure- if you guys really, really want to make something non-SW...  *Shrugs*  I might be over-stepping my boundaries, but I'd say it's okay with me, just keep your squadrons updated and: enjoy.

But what about the wing story?  I thought it was pretty elaborate myself, but I see the paradigm, and I'm going to say: don't worry about it.  Kaph Squadron has already asked to be pulled out of it and I said okay- I'm going to finish up the story and if anyone else wants to help out: please do so!  The story is really up for grabs and lets enjoy it- I'm sure Art would like a hand in its final destination.

Art

In no way is this necessary- but!  If you guys don't want to write on stories but you like to draw for one reason or another- no pressure, just try your hand at whatever interest you: show us.  I'd like everyone to know that these pieces of Art don't have to be Star Wars related: share with eachother what interest you: this is a festival, so let's bring everything out.  If you guys want to try music, though I don't know how many of you are that amped about such a thing, lol, go for it- make a little thread about it: it's cool by me, preferably Navy Main.  If you have other ideas, as long as they aren't overally graphic (notes scowling figure in the corner walk out)- you're fine

Games

Play whatever you like- star wars or not star wars: its totally up to you.  I realize that making a deal like this is still difficult if we limit it strickly to star wars: I'd just like people to enjoy themselves during the christmas season.  I also realize that some people were expecting competitions now that they're finally freed up- I believe that its better for the VEN at this point if we just relax a bit: sorry boys

Misc.

If you guys want to do something on IRC like Trivia, tell ghost stories, play some rock paper scissors- be my guest, I'm actually up for smores.  This next month or so is up to you guys: please make the best of it and make sure you relax.

Also, I'd prefer these things be closer to the SW side of things just to humor the fact that we're a SW-related website, but!  The main goal here is to get people to know one another better and have some real fun without letting things drop to zero activity.

Etan that was a little harsh, and just because some makes a comment either yay or nay don't just clam up and stop. Art is a good guy just offering some info and you have a good idea especially with it being a free for all.

Art- Not sure when you have to go back but I am off for the next 3 days so anytime at night would be great, the 27th is perfect for a start/refresh game.

Just to let everybody know, I am going to do a story called Nova Path. If you are interested, there is a discussion section with the same name that has a short description in the Naval Story Board (Art moved it there from Navy Main). You can join up from the beginning, after the first post, half way through the story, etc. Pretty much you can join up any time.

A new round for Bulfleet starts in Febuary, so that's a good time for everyone to start.
