He wasn't just entertaining. The guy was a role model. What you have to remember is he's not an actor, he was a zoologist. The guy owned the Queensland zoo. I think we should take this more seriously. The guy gets stung by a deadly jellyfish while filming on a movie for his daughter. If we take the death of Dale Earnhardt seriously, which I do, than we can at least take the death of Steve Irwin seriously. -----------------------

It wasn't that he was crazy...
Well, at least that isn't the reason he died.
Stingrays randomly flail their tails when frightened, Irwin was just extremely unlucky to get the barb where it landed.

Well, he wasn't that crazy at the very least.
But I think the story is that he dove into the water and kind of landed on the sting ray and it stabbed him. He then ripped it out of his chest. I think they said that he might've lived if he hadn't pulled out the thing. It did more damage coming out than it did going in. -----------------------

He wasn't crazy. Me, I'm crazy. Feeding a crocodile with a baby in your hand, not crazy. Crocodiles don't eat babies. And I'm sure a guy who lived life as a crocodile hunter(Yes he hunted crocodiles not just for the swow.) would know what would be safe and what wouldn't. Hanging a baby out a window...now that's dangerous.
I retract my former statement about jellyfish. My parents was telling me about the croc hunter just as they were telling me they got stung by jellyfish at navarre beach. I went to the croc hunter website, all it said was that they removed a stinger barb from his heart....yes I am aware that jellyfish do not have barbs.
