Before we discuss that matter totally in an offtopic way I decided to open up a new topic.
The nipples were added by Joel Schumacher:
"While the previous two films had been directed by Tim Burton, Batman Forever was directed by Joel Schumacher, whose changes to the established designs and thematics of the first two films -- Batman's costume includes latex nipples for example -- are regarded by many as being less serious than the franchise's previous two."(src=wikipedia.org)
This change was made to create an sexually more appealing Batman.

In my eyes the movies that were directed by Burton were way better, as their more somber atmosphere fitted Batman better. (Plus I liked the batmobile a lot more.).
Forever and Batman&Robin were... well to be honest... at least in my eyes... f*cked up. In my opinion there is something wrong if a method to show colors even brighter on screen is first used in a Batman movie. (don't find a site where this is quoted, but I read it on a german page which I can't find by now. meh).
Also Batman Begins was a good start for getting back to a more "burtonesque" style, it was partly too dark (from the lighting point of view) and the fight scenes were cut too fast in my eyes.

Whats your opinion?

Good fight, good night.

I would second that... buy my masculinity doesn't permit it.

I didn't mind Batman Forever. I thought Jim Carey and Tommy Lee Jones were good baddies. Batman & Robin was a little too...  I dunno. Bane just freaked me out.

Batman Begins has worked its way into my heart as one of my top ten movies. I'll have to see how Heath Legder does as the Joker to be sure of the next one. It could go with a new, "Brokeback Batty" style, or it could stick to "I am one with the League of Shadows".

Batman is one of the best series, in my opinion. Can't wait to see what the future holds for it.

I hated all the last batmans before this one, I liked the last one but Jim Carey and Tommy Lee they acted too childish, the original with the joker was good, the penguin wasnt that bad, but after it went downhill (at least for me) and now its starting its revival, I would love to destroy the new batmobile.

Has anyone read the "The Dark Knight returns" Saga by Frank Miller? That's a part of Batman I'd like to see in a Movie. Maybe Anthony Hopkins playing Batman.

I would say that the first Batman movie with the Joker was the best. Jack Nicholson, heck yeah!!

Well, I loved Batman Begins, the best batman movie ever! I agree with Garet on Morgan Freeman, he truly is a great actor, especially when he played a blind man in Danny the Dog.

The originally made movies seemed old and the villians a bit childish, especially the Joker. And, Rogueboy, unless you got a 5-ton bomb, you're not going to destroy the batmobile.

You found the Joker to be childish? Seriously I think killing someone by electrocuting him on screen is anything but childish. And also the penguin and Catwoman are in my eyes better villains, as they are more present in the movie then Scarecrow and Ra's al Ghul.

Well, no one is a worse baddie than the Scarecrow. He was beat by Katie Holmes tasering him. Ra's al Gul was awesome though, it's Liam Neeson! I agree, he didn't make a huge presence, but we thought he was dead for half the movie.

And I also have to disagree with Jenny. The old baddies may have seemed childlike, but if you've read the comics you'll see that Batman's enemies are very eccentric. The only ones who weren't crazy were Ivy, Bane, and Mr. Freeze, and they were all in Batman and Robin.

Batman & Robin was pretty awful. The one liners still make me flinch whenever I watch it.

Oh, come on, Scarecrow was a bit of a bad villain, but still I liked him, he was imiated very well and even I flinched at his scary moments. But I agree on Liam, he was the bomb!

I didn't say the villians were very childish, I just said they were a little childish.

And, Kami, I like one-liners, I sometimes chuckle at them, because they are made so well.

"The only ones who wheren't crazy were Ivy, Bane and Mr.Freeze."

I'd like to object.
Poison Ivy is batshit crazy, I will simply quote:
"She nearly died twice as a result from these poisonings, driving her insane. The testing also made her barren, and she has treated her plants as children, mothering them ever since. (Batman: Shadow Of The Bat 1995 Annual #3, Batman 1997 graphic novel: Poison Ivy)."(www.wikipedia.org/wiki/poison_ivy)
and Victor Fries isn't in Arkham for no reason:
"While he displays no obvious signs of insanity (at least, in comparison to the likes of the Joker or Two-Face), he is usually imprisoned in Arkham Asylum when apprehended by Batman, as it is the only local penal facility that can accommodate his medical requirements for a refrigerated cell."
This might make him seem not crazy, but when we then read this description:
"Mr. Freeze's crimes tend to involve freezing everyone and everything he runs into, which seems to satisfy his urge to get even with a hard, cruel world."
At least for me that sounds a bit deranged.
And Bane can also be seen to be a little psychotic, but not in the typical roving lunatic way but more as if he was a sociopath (surly this applies to many of Batsys enemies.)

Ok, I'll clarify my statement: Ivy, Bane, and Mr. Freeze were the only ones who weren't tweaking out from craziness.

The first two Batman films in my opinion were the best, Joker was fabulous and the Penguin and Catwoman were pretty good as well.  When they moves onto the next two films things got a little bit silly.  I quite liked Tommy Lee Jones as Two Face though but Carrey's Riddler was a little over the top.

When I first seen Batman Begins I wasn't too keen on it but the more times I watch it the more I enjoy it.

The biggest gripe I have with Batman Begins is that it just doesn't take any note of the other Batman films.  For example in Batman it is the Joker that kills Wayne's parents.  In Begins it is some random mugger that kills them.

I just watched Superman Returns and they honour the original films, they had Marlon Brandon from the original saying what he said from the original.  There was a mention that it looked like Lex had been in Supermans Fortress before, etc.  Why couldn't Batman Begins have been like that.

Because Batman begins was meant to be a completely new cineastic take on the Batman comics.  They didn't want to do it on the base of the first four movies, but instead start their own series.
And to that Joker thing, in the comics, Bruce Waynes parents were killed by "some random mugger".

One thing I think makes the movies stand out, atleast to me, is the fact that Batman and Superman are now being done at the same time.  Originally, the Superman movies were coming out, and everyone went to see them.

But after Superman IV came out, that particular franchise seemed to have died.  So instead they focused on Batman instead.  After Batman, the whole comic-book thing sort of died down until X-men came out.  That was Marvel's time in the sunshine, with their tight leather outfits and supermodels for all the female roles.

Now DC comics is back after all the big Marvel hits have come and gone, and by releasing both of the franchises at the same time, they're appealing to both types of audience.  Batman is more of a dark, gritty crime movie for those who prefer it that way, while Superman is more of a lighthearted, fun for the whole family affair.

Also, superman is going a totally new direction with it's focus on certain events left off by the current movie series (Not going to reveal anything incase anyone hasn't seen it).  Batman is starting from scratch, showing Batman and his change from the bright-eyed kid who could've grown up and taken on the charge of Wayne Industries, to one who now wants to bring crime to it's knees.

I honestly think that the way they left the ending off on Batman Begins will lead into a remake, but if it's anything like BB, I'm all for it.  I honestly don't know if the new Joker will be up to it, but as long as it doesn't focus too much on the League of Shadows, I'm happy with how it goes.
