Just to make sure evryone reads this:

Right the new story is up. Because of the twists that this story is going to have i'm afraid i'm going to have to put some rules in place, something i dont normally like doing.

The objectives are as follows:

1) Fight off the Y-wings and cut into the capital ship.
2) Fight through the droid soldiers and make our way to the bridge, where we can restore power to the ship.

Now because of how this is going to work, i'd like you to:

1) Get up to cutting into the ship, then wait for me. I'll post about entering the ship, then we can continue.
2)Get up to the bridge, then wait for me to restore power and then we'll see what happens.


Check the story for information on space trooper armour and if you have any questions just let me know.


As you know we need a new Fire Team Leader. In my squad i see this as a position to be used in stories more than an actualy command position. Therefore i'll be choosing the FTL based on how much and how well people write on this story.

I'll assume you all want the position, unless you state here otherwise!

Anyways, i'll finish off the old story, enjoy the new one. I hope you all get into the spirit of it when i bring you the twist.


Btw the ship we're heading for is a Republic attack Cruiser.

again I say, that i wont have much time and I'm kind of reconsidering posting a story if its rushed and short, but If I do I promise it will be the best I can make in the time alloted. I'm not too sure exactly about the mission, and a little about our equipment and their fatures and mobility, but from what I understand, putting it basically, its heavy armor with jetpack like things to move around and controlled magnetic...er...yeah. Well I'm sure if I see just a little more Ill understand.

Oh and just to clarify, the laser Cannons we have are fully functional, but unable to do much damage to a Y-wing's shields

I dont normally like controlling missions this tightly, its just that the first two parts of the mission are really an extended intro once those are done i'll introduce the real story.

Anyone seeking help with the story, or wishes to have an issue cleared up about it, should see me on IRC. I'll make a general explanation on Sunday after the main meeting, so everyone there will get a heads up as well. Btw, anytime right after the main meeting will be the scheduled Raider squad 'get-together'.

and, let me clarify something, I was a bit blunt with my last post:
RL issues obviously come first on certain occasions, but this club is a way to increase and exercise writing talent while you do have down-time. However, there are certain commitments made when entering a squad, or engaging in any other activity VE-Related. When you did make those commitments, you were (and still are) expected to follow through, unless something happens that would prevent you from doing so: computer crash, internet loss, etc. On that note, any situation of this sort should be explained via email or Leavenet ASAP.

Well, my first report as a Raider.
I really want to apologise for my inactivity, I have lost my only link with Comnet during the week: my phone. Luckily they are at last upgrading our school with some Internet access and new computers. I will have to see if my laptop is new enough to fir the connections.

As I have said already, my activity may drop in the next couple of week, I have decided to stand for prefect in the hostel, and have been chosen as one of the four leader to some culture group at school.
]I have a feeling I may be asked to be captain of the chess team, though I doubt since chess wasn't this active this year.

I will be on leave from the 8th of September till the 15th. I hope to be active that following weekend again.

Also, is it official that the Raider squad meeting are held Sundays after the VE meeting?
