First of all: Merry Christmas!
Down to business. I've had a stack of awards that was submited to me probably a month ago to hand out and I figured Christmas would be a good time to finally get around to it.
First on the list: Promotions!
For his outstanding service in filling a variety of positions in an admirable fashion and for greatly assisting in the daily operation of the Navy
Ensign Shazam is promoted to
2nd Lieutenant.
Unfortunately I don't actually have captions for the others since they've been requested by someone other than me. :P If people would like to list captions for those that they've requested to have promoted: thats great. Otherwise just assume you've done a helluva job.
Senior Crewman Trevor Evenson is promoted
Petty Officer 2nd Class.
Senior Chief Petty Officer Jack Nebulax is promoted to
Warrant Officer 2nd Class.
Senior Crewman Darius is promoted to
Chief Petty Officer.
Leading Crewman Hunter is promoted to
Senior Crewman (and is also appointed to be the Flight Leader for Aegis Squadron's 3rd Flight).
For their work on the Kaph Squadron's story
Senior Crewman Demonic and
Senior Crewman Than Sion are promoted to the rank of
Petty Officer 2nd Class!

Next: Medals!
The
Victory Cross [VC] is an award typically given for outstanding performance in fiction writing. What exactly that means is left up to the squadron commander that recommends it. It can range from activity to sheer quality. That Cross has four trims, Blue, Silver, Gold, and Ebony and each time the award is granted the trim is upgraded.
The Victory Cross is awarded to Shazam, Darius, and Jack Nebulax.
The
Cross of Bravery [CB] or [CBV] is awarded for repeatedly showning extreme dedication to a Squadron and contributing new ideas to them. Each awarding of the Cross of Bravery adds a star to it, it starts with one. This is typically denoted in ways such as [CB*], [CB**], [CB:], [:CB:] and other such creative fashions. Exact display fashion isn't strictly regulated.
The Cross of Bravery is awarded to Chief Petty Officer Darius.
The
Star of Valor [SV] is granted to those who show extrodinary service, typically aiding superior officers in their duties.
The Star of Valor is granted to Lieutenant Shazam for his service in assisting with the Academy training process and generally being a gigantic help to sk8 and I.

-Remember to update your ID line (on the roster too, thats a big help to me when I'm trying to compile all the awards to give out :P)

Also any major announcements you want to have out there for the week since there is a nearly 100% chance there won't be a meeting today.
