The rebel spy is Kyle Katarn, DarkForces detailed the event and specified it was the first deathstar. But by that time the DeathStar was pretty much done so the imperials had no reason to keep the plans. |

Just got back from seeing it a second time. I must note that I -really- like Yoda's expression when he's absorbing the Emperor's lightening. His face shows an utter disgust for the power he's interacting with. -----------------------

Did anyone else think it was cool that they showed alderan at the end? I mean they made such a big deal about it in episode 4 i would of imagined them spending more time there than naboo in all the prequals.

Another thing that makes me mad is he says he owns starwars.com, theforce.net, and countless other GOOD starwars sites. He says that hes in EPIII! And hes in North Carolina, the great state i grew up in! |

Did anynone think of the possibility, that the first Death Star was finished 4, 5 years BEFORE we see it in "A new hope"?
That would explain everything....

Don't forget that there was a prototype Deathstar as well. That could easily be what we saw at the end of Episode 3.
Overall I found the movie enjoyable. It felt rushed to me in parts and the ending tied things together pretty well actually kind of felt flat/anti-climactic to me.
1-10: I give it a 7. Considering how spoiled I am by what I normally watch and my high standards that's still saying something. -----------------------

The death star may have been completed 4-5 years prior, but it wasn't operational (occording to Grand Moff Tarkin in EPIV) until its test on Alderaan.
Wasn't the prototype found in Maw by the Hutts in the Admiral Daala books (Jedi Acadenmy Trilogy) -----------------------

Palpatine planned all of this for a long time, and even though supposedly the Death Star wasn't operational until the test on Alderaan, Poggle the Lesser and Darth Tyranus DID have the plans for the fully operational Death Star. They even called it a superweapon or something if I remember correctly. And about what eviscares said, the Death Star is basically just a gun. That's all it is. It just happens to have a whole spacestation built around it to defend it. |
