That's basically how much you pay to Imperitrade for their commission costs in order to buy and sell shares at the Imperial Market.

So from 0 - 1,000 shares, bought or sold, you will pay 10 ICs for the entire trade (buy and sell).  Then from 1,001 to 5,000 shares, you will pay 50 ICs per trade.  And so on.

A single trade is either buying or selling a number of shares.  Then the commissions for the trade are calculated on how many shares you either buy or sell at one time.

The same is true in real life stock trading; except they might also take a small percentage from the trade depending on how many shares you were buying or selling.  Imperitrade tries to make it easier on it's members by just charging a flat fee for all trades based on the number of shares you are trading.

Stock Highlight of the Week

First of all, I'd like to thank Kad for the opportunity he created us, and for providing such a nice example of one of the principles I discussed in the "Stocks for Dummies" article.

As you might have already guessed, this week's stock highlight is Military Munitions Association (MMA). Over the course of the past day or two, a total of over 11.7 million shares of the stock was either bought or sold. Evidently enough, we all know that Kad is the only one capable of buying in such mass quantities. But that's not what's impressive. What's even more impressive is that in less than 24 hours after the sales, the stock had gone up almost thirty points. It went from 96.28 to 125.84 ICs in that short amount of time. And I can tell you this much, since Imperitrade opened in February 2005, I have never seen any stock go up so much in one day. And personally, I think it will go up at least another 10 ICs by the end of today.

What caused this stock to climb so much is what I discussed as caused by a higher up, Kad in this case, buying up the majority of the stock. After seeing that someone had bought such a large quantity of the stock, I had rushed to the Imperitrade, and bought over 500,000 shares worth of the stock at 96.73 ICs per share. As it stands now at 125.47 ICs per share, I have made over fifteen million ICs over the course of a day. That, my friend, is how one can become a millionaire over night.

That said, how can you profit from this instead of just stand by and read? Don't wait! As I am typing this, there are still 25,000 shares left for sale. Hurry over if you want to catch the drift before someone else does! There is still money to be made.

and as i predicted, MMA has leveled off after the initial tremendous increase. It is now just hanging at 143, 144 ish.

and Jaden, yes CNET is doing well. But I didn't give it much though becasue like I said before, it's already close to 150 ICs per share, thus i didn't think it would be that good of an idea to buy any. It has been steadily increasing from early June when some big sales were made.

Stock dividends were sent out today for five major corporations listed at the Imperitrade Financial.  The following companies decided to send out dividends on the same day.

FGB - 25,000,000 ICs
ICS - 25,000,000 ICs
IMC - 25,000,000 ICs
IMTF - 25,000,000 ICs
IVE - 25,000,000 ICs

If you owned any of the stocks listed above that sent out dividends today, then you received a share of the dividend amount comparable to the percentage of ownership you have in the stock.

Hmm, certain people could affect the stock prices by buying or selling...boosting certain prices certain people would benifit from...

I'm not sure I understand what you are proposing here.  We have division bond stocks already that are based on the number of active members in the division.  Are you proposing a subset of a division?

As far as purely a Army/Navy officer bond type stock, that would be a bit more complicated than just basing it on the entire division(s).  So for now, I won't be sub-dividing the division(s) into additional stocks.

It's a good idea; but the coding would be a bit more complicated as it would also be based on certain ranks and/or roster positions for selecting members to base the stock price against.  Perhaps in the future that is something we can add.

If you're talking about only Army and Navy officers, then that's a subset of two divisions.  It would be based on certain members within the different divisions.

In a meeting today, the Vast Empire Smoker's Association (VESA) governing board decided to take the company public.

Imperitrade Financial reviewed their application and decided to approve the company for public trading since they met all the requirements.

The VESA started trading today at 0.50 ICs per share with 6,000,000 shares held by the 3 board shareholders.

In a meeting yesterday, the Imperial Center Store (ICS) investors decided to create a small cap mutual fund based on the top 25 commodities sold.

The Imperial Center 25 (IC25) stock was born.  Those members who have been on IRC since yesterday have gotten a notice that the IC25 stock went public.

The IC25 started trading yesterday at 0.67 ICs per share with 120,000,000 shares in circulation.

Currently, IC25 is trading at 0.76 ICs per share, which is +0.09 points since the open yesterday.
