For the time being, as planned, Jack and Jen will share the acting XO duties.


Now some other notes:

1. Phase two mission briefing will be posted today (I'm writing it right now actually).

2. I have been running a quiet AWOL check and I must say, if I wasn't in this squadron and was doing it, half of you would be cut.  So let's start getting activity back where it should be.  Phase 2 will be a big test of what we are made of.  Let's show the navy that we can make excellent and frequent posts that are detailed and descriptive.

3. Reports, reports, reports.  Jen, kudos to you for your reporting record, bravo!  Jack, you're pretty near the mark as well.  Little things like these are reasons why you two have moved up to where you are in the squadron and can expect to advance more in the future.  The rest of you have abyssmal reporting records and there really isn't a valid excuse for it.  When you are on leave, we don't expect reports.  If you are here, reports are expected.  It takes less than five minutes and they ARE important.

Therefore, I am instituting my old army policy for reports starting next week.

Miss 1 report - warning
Miss 2 in a row - 2,500ics fine
Miss 3 in a row - 5,000ics fine and warning about being listed as AWOL
Miss 4 in a row - automatic AWOL

I will be asking Japheth to see who can automatically deduct these amounts.  My goal will be to use this money for the squadron for competitions in the future and to have money ready when Shazam is back in order to use it for similar purposes.  The level of reporting can and must change.

4. Squadron Meetings.  Can everyone please list a time where we can have one.  I want to do some brainstorming with you about doing some things that will bring the squadron closer together and provide some different activity opportunities in addition to writing.

5. We successful got the bio project done and I must say you all did a great job.  I want to expand upon this now.  When we are not writing stories (or even if we are and you feel you have time to actively write on the story and do this), then I'd like to see us write some personal stories about our character.  They can be about their past or anything you want.  Unlike the army, we don't have specialty stories as there aren't any specialties (though Heth was looking into some options so stay tuned).  But personal stories give us opportunities to build upon our characters in ways a squadron or wing story to now provide.  In addition, they can all be posted on our website under our profiles so people can read them and learn more about our characters.  It also provides people aspiring to join the DJO, a chance to improve their writing skills and showcase what they are capable of.

One thing I noticed on the story that I thought I would point out to everyone.  At the start of each post, you do not need to inform us of your rank, position and history.  It is assumed that we know that.  It's not a big problem but it's just something that is not necessary and is rather redundant after awhile.

Well, I've caught up in on the comnet.  Just warning you that you might not see me at all this week.  Tomorrow, I have a Cross Country meet, and then I either close at work, or have come school activity that takes up all of my free time.  So if I don't report, please don't jump down my throat.  I'm starting to get stressed out because I find what the deal is with my kidneys in a week, and my mom is very concerned because I guess I'm not acting myself.  So, I'll try to remain active this week, but no promises.

btw, I didn't get the lead part in the musical (thank goodness), but, I got the next worst part.  Oh well.

Awesome job, Art, I'm glad to see your being straightforward with your orders.  Kind of stinks that I can't be around to post with you guys just yet, I'm maybe becoming involved in some time consuming activities.  However, might I remind all of you, the site, which I think still exist, has the full history of Nazgul.  You continue to fight for your right to be in this squadron and keep it running, so whatever you can do, its superb as long as you give it a try.  This is my first in some time, and I wouldn't expect one until atleast next week because I'll be internetless again. 

Btw, reguardless of high speed, time might be a little shorter, but I still think I have plenty of time to run off of dial-up.  At the moment, my guitar studies have become kind of diligent...  I won't get into the details, but I'll just give you the time frame of about how long I play...  4:30-6:15 8:00-10:15...  Everyday...  So you know what I've been doing besides studying like a freak.
