If your allowed to see it, Perfect Blue is an awesome anime only cuz it has like half a million plot twists  Endless Waltz was ok, the fight scene was the only highlight in my openion, GW still rocks. Martien Nadisco Successor was also a good series, the ending on the other hand... Another good movie, X and i've heard the series was good too. -----------------------

I'm going to agree on Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and Hellsing... three of my favorite animes.
Also, I really enjoyed FLCL, the one that was on Adult Swim for awhile. Demented and Funny with cool action sequences.
Tokyo Underground is great, except for a pretty weak ending.
Movies, I have to go with pretty much the obvious ones. Akira, Ninja Scroll, The Cowboy Bebop movie, Vampire Hunter D, etc.
And if MD reads this.... Dragonball anything sucks. -----------------------

Eva is crap. And whatever you do DO NOT WATCH BERSERK. If you do, well, you can't say I didn't warn you. (Actually, episodes 2-20 aren't to bad, DO NOT WATCH THE LAST 2, especially, super-bad).
I can't believe I forgot to mention Trigun, I liked that one a lot too. And, with all the Galaxies, i've been playing, I liked watching .hack//sign along with it. Was sorta weird.
Forgot to mention movies: Metropolis wasn't too bad, very strange animation style. Spirited away was alright, not much of the action, but it was a good one to watch with my girlfriend. :P

I gotta say, I hate anime, especially Dragon Ball Z. But I'd say that Bebop and Trigun are just a step up from anything I've seen. Great story line for Trigun, and Bebop just a the smooth cool feeling that makes it what it is. Certainly a few of my favorite summer show's in general; it goes good with my Final Fantasy X, and X-2 on the side.

Check out something like Cowboy Bebop or Trigun, they're good starter series, I think. Some of the better ones. -----------------------

Me and my brothers don't get to see a lot of anime because we don't have Cable/Satellite T.V.
But yeah, some of those shows are awesome, I have seen a couple of Inuyasha episodes and they were great. -----------------------

Inuyasha is over-rated. If you want a longer anime series, go for Rurouni Kenshin. It has some, if not much, historical information in it as well. -----------------------

Rouroni Kenshin has no more then six variations on one episodes worth of plot(I've watched it and payed attention).
Rumiko Takahashi has never made a series that was not wildly popular(Geist did the research) so Inyu Yasha must me allright(like I said I could get into the series if I could watch it from the begining and several episodes at once).
Most of my anime watching has been because JETHRO has a good paying job and I did as well at one point so we could actually buy the DVD's.
I don't know why but to me hentai is funny. If I need a good laugh I'll watch Angel of Darkness IV. I still give JETHRO a hard time about buying that. -----------------------
