I'm definitely looking forward to the Crystal Cronicles.  A FF game for Nintendo has been long overdue.

I forgot. When exactly does FFX-2 come out? I can't wait. FFX was fun, so FFX-2 has got to be good also.

I agree with FA, except I wasn't as hooked on FF8, but Cloud was the best.  Easilly...  And Part Two comes out this December...  Although, I have been hearing it has a bit of a different feeling to it...  It's got some of the older features like Jobs and all that good stuff...

Get this...  I was reading an article in a magazine in school...  And they were tlaking about how they decided it was so cool making a sequel to one of there games...  Of coarse they arn't going to continue FF10 serie's...  But they said they might make a sequel to FF7...  We're certainlly going in that direction they're sayin...  Definite possibility...  And, FFX-2 is basically a mision based game...
But the thing that's really cool...  There's alternate endings...  You can do those missions in pretty much any order you like...  And the endings are very different from one another...  So if you've never tried to beat a FF game more than once...  Your ganna want to this time...

It turns out there isn't going to be a FF7-2, but there going to make a movie that is placed 2 years after the defeat of Sephiroth.  The movie is called Advent Children.  I've seen the trailer, interesting...  I don't have a link for it, because the one's that i've been finding have bad sound, bad music type of things goin on...  So just search it somewhere and you'll probably come up with it.

If you all are saying the latest batch of Final Fantasy's (the PSX and on) are the best, you are poor, poor f00ls.  Final Fantasy Tactics is the best Final Fantasy game ever, first of all, and that's because Square actually worried about a decent story.  Final Fantasy 7 was the best numerical FF on the PS and PS2, easily, because it had a story, despite the crappy ending.  All of them after that, including FFX, sucked.  Final Fantasy 8 was quite possibly the worst Final Fantasy ever, except for Mystic quest.  Go back to the 1-6 era to find the best numerical FFs.

Nah, IX was bad, VIII was worse.  I mean, for the first two discs, VIII had some promise.  Then, all of a sudden, they decided a coherent story didn't matter.  So they just scrapped the idea of a story and went with whatever it is they did instead.  At least IX's gameplay was more fun than VIII's.

Crap... I never realized anyone else posted. Lol.  Anyways...  Just thought that i'd post...  The FFX-2 website English version just opened up...  Go to Squaresoft.com...  There you will find a big link.  It's a picture of Pain, Yuna, and Rikku.  There the three main character's if you don't already know.  Those are the only three you get, you can play the game in almost any order, plus multiple endings.  The game was made to be played one or two hours at a time.
It'll be here just in time for the Christmas season.  As for the best games...  I'd say FF7 was by far the most entising...  And 10 was maybe the most fun to play.  Better graphics and such.  However, I don't understand blitzball at all...  If I knew how, maybe that would add to it.  Dunno.
Anyways...  I also wanted to post that on Squaresoft they also have FFT Advanced webby and FF11 webby.  You can find them by pushing the games link up at the top.  FF11 is a MMRPG.  It is also multi-platformed.  You can be on your pc... and be fighting someone who is playing on their PS2.  Kind of cool.  The first game of it's kind.  However, it's also pretty damned expensive.  I suggest, if you buy the game that is...  That you buy the pc version.  That way you only have to pay for the Pay Online and game attachments...  On PS2 you need an adapter, internet connection with the adapter, playonline, and a PS2 Keyboard for chatting with other players...  It deffinetly add's up on PS2's side.
The Cronicles site has been out for a while...  And the game has also been released quite recently.  It is the first multi-player FF game...  Except, the only way it can be multi-player is if you link up with somebody who has the game on a gameboy advance.  Kind of a stipulation.
I think that's everything of interest at the moment.  However, you can find out about Character, News, Events, Tournis, Battle Systems, Worlds, and much much more from the websites themselves...  That webby again... Is Squaresoft.com .  I also found FFantasy.com was an excelent site.  Lot's of info on the upcoming movie Final Fantasy Advent children, which is two years after the game FF7.  The trailer I don't currently have a link for.  But you could probably search and find it.  Most of the trailers you find will be with a video camera taping the trailer at a convention er somethin.  Who knows...  Anyways, if you download the Japanese version, they don't speak english, but you here the music and see everything much clearer.
        That is all for now.

Gooday,

-FMJR

Well...  I posted this a few months ago...  Thought I'd update my FF info...

    Alrighty...  First off, game reviews:
Final Fantasy X-2, the Eternal Calm:  This can either be very fun or incredibly disapointing.  The girls are all grown up but there is a big hole in Yuna's heat, when she see's a movie sphere of a man who resembles her lost love Titus, she goes in search of more spheres with her pals Rikku an Paine.
Gameplay:  I have to say, the first time through when your playing this, you might get pissed off at Yuna do to the fact that she has a hard time jumping from cliff to cliff or climbing up walls.  One of the neato things about the gameplay was the missions.  When you play the first time through, you might very well think it's retarded.  However, when you play the second time through, it's kind of fun doing the side stuff and getting your full percentage for the game because of the fact that you get to see kind of what's really happened since the last game.  It's like your getting sneak peeks or something.  Now...  The battling system, was indeed highpaced, instead of each turn having as much time as they wanted, the enemy or you for that matter get's continue hitting while they are making they're decision.  This can play to your advantage or become your worst enemy.  Don't worry though, there is an option to turn it off.
Story:  Alright...  This is a bit goofy.  Yuna is off to find her lost love right?  Ha.  I will tell you this now, if you were hoping to see some kind of mention of Sin or something like that...  None at all.  They bring in a completly different enemy who is actually more or less dead.  Him and his singing girlfriend were killed by Bevelle guards alongside a killing machine known simply as Vegnagon.  Apparently he's pissed off about it and wants to either get revenge or find his lost love.  So you got two people looking for their lost loves, the both of them look like eachothers lost lovers.  So they're looking for eachother half the game only to find out that they arn't who they think they are.  Not to mention all the turmoil going on in Spira do to the fact that everyone has seperated themselves into either The Youth League, New Yevon(My personal favorite because Baralie, the leader, is the man), and the machine faction.  Go figure, the Machine Faction is a bunch of Al Bhed digging up old things in the desert with their own rules.  The leaders of all three groups are connected and so is Yuna's budy paine.  You just have to play the game and find out how that is exactly.
Extra Endings:  M'kay.  This is the screwiest part of the game.  People were saying they were getting mad because there were five different endings for the game.  Well.  technically there is five.  But really, there's one where they all die at the end; one where she defeats Vegnagun and that's basically it; and then there's these three endings that all kind of tie in together.  The first just allows you a little information, the next gives you a bit more, and the third gives you the perfect ending( which you can only get if you do absolutelly everything which is quite time consuming.)  Don't attempt to rent it if your only going to play through once.  You really need to play the game twice; once you beat the game once, at the end it gives you a play again option enabling you to get the full percentage and all the story in.
Overall Review:  I'd have to say the best part was getting to go back and meet old friends, old places, the music, and above all, playing the game in general.  Gotta love spira.  On the downside, the characters seemed to go down a notch for me.  Too much girlpower for me, especially when they would do their little Charlie's angels formation.  Plus Rikku was a total ditz, and the only one with even half a brain was Paine.  However, Yuna did seem to gain her old personality when someone would insult her or the fact that she used to be a summoner.  Overall, I liked the game.  It's not as good as X...  But, if you get the perfect ending it's everything and more.  So, if your looking for some completion to your story, I suggest you go on ahead and barrow it from a friend or buy it yourself.

Final Fantasy XI:

Now...  I havn't played the game yet, so I'm just ganna give you the latest gossip.  For one, if your intending on buying the game souly for the story line, I don't know if your ganna be all that satisfied.  I don't have any evidence to back that up yet, but I will certainly be looking into it soon.

The internet experience:  Now, I have seen this in action, this is pretty neat.  Very SW Galaxies, except...  That there is a difference.  SW Galaxies is actually pre-created in a way, species stories, planets.  Final Fantasy is one world with a bunch of different people trying to play, doing alot of the same stuff.  And you only get a certain amount of options you can be or look like.  So I suggest you just go on ahead and get galaxies for the time being.  I've also heard that this game gets very old fast...  If you've ever played Runescape, same ordeal.  Addicting for a little while, then it gets old.

I intend on getting some more information on that for ya.

I'll have more on Tactics advanced and Crystal Chronicles.
Plus alot more info on the upcoming game FFXII.  You can go on ahead and look them up at squaresoft.com if your curious, other wise I'll continue to post information and reviews for your daily Final Fantasy needs.

Also, I don't really have much more news on FF7- Advent Children.  They havn't been releasing that much.  But I can presume a few things.  Sepherioth might very well not be dead.  If you've played the game, Cloud is taken into the lifestream just like Sephiroth was.  He was in need of a wheel chair after words...  In the trailer you can see at adventchildren.com you see that there is a man dressed in white in a wheel chair.  Also, from some pictures from articles in gaming magazines Barret is in the movie and looking very real.  Also, we will get to see the ruin of Midgar.  And Sister Ray still remains on the capitol headquarters...  Anyways...  I'll get some more info and be back.

My god, you might be even freakier than me.  And I am a FF freak.  I have seen a few of those trailers for Advent Children.  The graphics are so awesome.  I was looking at a close up picture of Barret the other day, and I totally thought he was a real person.  Another thing about the movie that I Have been looking forward to is the appearence of Vincent Valentine.  When I was playing FF7, I had the choice of course, to pick either him or that Yuffie Chick.  I decided to pick Vincent because he was the coolest.  I was reading sometihng on a FF forum at one of my favorite sites, FF Alliance, and it said something about him being in the movie.  There were some screenshots of him, but I don't know if it is just a rumor or not.

Recently me and my buddie were playing FFX-2, and he beat the game.  The cool thing is that he got the really good ending, and it had great graphics. And another ting that is cool is the fact that you get like 5 different endings, the one where they all die would really suck, because you had been playing the game for so long.  Another thing I love about the game is the play again feature.  You get to keep all of your dress spheres, and all of your garmet grids, but you start with level 1.  I really like it that you can keep all of your items, because I have a few that really boost the stats of Rikku, Yuna, and Paine.  I jacked up Paines strength with this one item, and she was hitting 1000's right off the bat.

Another thing that I like is the recycled areas.  I love the way that you can go back to Besaid, and listen to all the summerlike music.  You can visit the areas where you were in FFX, and even go back to Luca.  In FFX-2, the chicks dress really wild.  I mean, whenever you seen Rikku, she has a bakini on.  I was sitting at the same friends house, and he just pops out and says "I'd do her"  I cracked up laughing and told him it was just a video game.

I was on a FAQ site for FF and it says that when Yuna sings in FFX-2, she isn't really the one signing.  It is some Jade chick.  But, it also shows pics of the real people who play the voices of the characters, and some of them even look like the people they play.  I thought that it was quite freaky when I saw that Rikku looked just like the chick that played her.  The girl that plays yuna is pretty young, and she looks nothing like Yuna.  In fact, the chick that plays Paine looks even more like Yuna than she does.

When I play FF7, I just wander around and breed chocobos.  I have yet to still get knights of the round, which is the gold chocobo.  You have to go through quite a long process to breed the chocobos.  I can't remember how it goes, but you have to breed the speacial colors to get the best chocobo.  They also have female, and male chocobos, of course, because you are breeding them.  My favorite color of chocobo would have to be White, or Black.

There was a move in like 2000 called FF-The Spirit Within.  I think that the movie itself was pretty good, but the graphics weren't as good as I thought they would be.  I actually thought that the movie would have something to do with one of the games, but It didn't.  The spirit things on the movie looked pretty cool though.  They were like ghosts.  The basic summary of the movie is there is this chick looking for life back on the destroyed earth.  She finds a plant with some life, and then she is ambushed by a whole group of these spirits.  Her buddies from this military thing come and save her.  After that the movie goes into some big thing about finding a cure for the virus that the spirits can give out.  The chick later reveals that she has the spirit growing inside of her, for experimental purposes, and that she could not live without it.  She is trying to find a cure for the disease or something.  At the end of the movie, everyone dies, and I thought that really sucked.

I would have to say that FF-8 is my favorite game though.  I thought that it was awesome at the time when it came out, becuase it had better graphics than any other FF game I had seen.  Then, months later FF-9 came out.  It isn't the best game, but it blew 8 away.  Soon after that, 10 came out.  And then there were ruiuvmors of 10-2.  Finally, it was announced that FF-2 would be coming out around winter time.  I looked into it, and got the game.  There is alsXo some thing called FF-11.  It is like EverQuest, but FF style.  The sucky thing is that you have to have a big AlienWare System to play it, because you need a super fast connectiong, and alienware whas a good connection.  I heard something about putting it on X-box Live, but I guess that isn't true.

Well, thats about all I have to say on the subject of FF.  I like to play the games, and talk with people about it.  I wonder if we could keep this post going, and get everyone's opinion in on the game.

That was quite a remarkable ramble if I must say so myself.  But that is okay.
Alrighty...  Latest news, Final Fantasy 7-AC is supposed to be coming out around the middle of summer this year.
I don't have much more news on Final Fantasy 12...  Because there really isn't anywhere to look at it just yet.  Unless of course you would like to suggest I learn Japanese and read it off the site...
All I know, is it's supposed to come out in Japan some time around Summer time this year.  Then like Autumn time this year for us in the US.

Well that sounds good.  I have been waiting to hear of when it would come out.  Btw, where do you get all of this information from, I would really like to know the website if you can give it to me.  Its nice to see other FF fans around the VE, I love the games.  I think that soon I will also be getting FF Crystal Chronicles.  Here is some info i found out about the game.

Gaming:  Well, from what I have read, it is suppose to hav some pretty decent graphics.  I'm not saying that they are going to be like FFX-FFX-2, but they are suppose to be pretty decent.  From the gaming zines I've read, it is suppose to have a great story line.  Nintendo hasn't come out with a Final Fantasy game yet, and this is suppost to be the first besides the really early ones for SNES.

Story:  Well, in the game your city is suppose to be under some kind of magical fog, and you have to make it so the fog disappears, or your town could disappear forever.  Sounds kinda cheesy right, well, its not all that bad.  It's like going on a big pilgramige like FF-X.  To get the fog to disappear from your wonderful town, you have to collect a speacial kind of water for the crystal in your town.  There are suppose to be these 3 special trees that you have to go out and find.  They all hold the special kinds of water that your tree requires.  I myself think that the game is pretty fun from the demo I have played.  It had all of the same magic from before FF-X.  I heard that you don't go by levels in the game, there is some other way that you get better.

My Rating:  Well, for this game I would have to give it a rating of 8/10.  The game has good graphics, and a good story line.  The game is suppose to consist of 4 discs, which should give gamers a long time to play the game.  The objectives may seem small, but the game is quite big.

Caution, stay away.  Stay far, far away from Crystal Chronicles.  The game is not good,  The graphics are good for visuals, but once you get into combat you can't see a thing, and your sight window is limited.  The controls are limited, and as far as the combat engine goes...

My buddy bought the game a week ago.  He sold the game a few days later.  You do not want this game.  Trust me.

Lol.  I figured trying to make a multiplayer role playing game at this point was a bad idea.  Thought there would be a glitch.  I wasn't going to get it anyways, don't have a gamecube.  Lol.  Thankyou for the pre-emptive warning my good friend.

I like Final Fantasy Tactics Advance for the Game Boy Advance.

I have also been playing Final Fantasy X a lot lately.

I will probably get Final Fantasy X-2 soon.

The reason for naming it what they named it has been explained to me more times than any God-forsaken mortal should have to stand, but I still think a name like Final Fantasy X is a paradox.

A paradox is sometimes called an oxymoron. It's something that contradicts itself, like jumbo shrimp or miniature elephant. Also there is Final Fantasy X. It's named Final, but there are something like 15 of them. Thus does a paradox occur. Someone up at the company oughta fix that.

If ya would have said oxymoron I would have no what you meant...  But the word ironic certainly comes to mind.  The reason it's called 'Final Fantasy' is because the guy thought it was ganna be his final game...  But then there was another...  And another...

Well, sorry for my last rating on Crystals.  I was looking at some other reviews, and they said that the game was quite bad.  I'm not saying that it was good from playing a demo.  I thought that playing the demo for a few minutes made me feel the need to play the game, but, once I looked into it, the game does suck.  Also, there are tons of FF games for PS that I haven't even heard of, and i saw them when I was in Wal-Mart the other day.

As far as I know, the game is a little bit overated indeed.  So we'll just close up on that for now...

    New news:

FF12 takes place in this big place that they like to call Ivalice...  You might recognize that name...  Anyways, they got these two characters that either they're stoned, they've been smoking something, or they oil up thier skin on purpose...  Dunno, it looks like FF is trying to become more real, but...  Well, as long as the women become more real...  Ain't got the slightest problem with it...

Aah, I remember Ivalice.  It is the kingdom from FF-Tactics.  I really like that game.  It is kinda like playing a big board game, but you can see action.  Once you start playing the game, you can't get enough of it.

A remake of FF-7 would blow out all of the FF games.  FF-7 has to be the best game.  Not graphics wise, but I'm talking about the story line.  Nothing, can beat that story line.

Also, there was another game I was looking at the other day called FF limited Chaos.  It didn't look like that great of a game, but I think I'll check it out.

Say, weren't Squall and Laguna from FFVIII? I did play that some, wasn't too bad.

Yessir...  Laguna was Squalls father or something...  I never got to complete the game due to the fact that it froze on me in one of the movie scenes...  Basterd piece of crap...
Anyways, if there is ever a game you should play...  FF7, oh yea...  Definetly best story.  Sure, X was great, but really...  Are we ever ganna have another super bad guy like Sephiroth?  Sin was a bit to fake...  The Sorceress wasn't quite wicked enough...  And Shuyin is an over-emotional pimp...
