It came to me just now that I've been constantly trying to devise up new ways of creating incentive for you guys to get more active. I've made recruitment and gaming competitions.
What I have failed to realize, however, is that I didn't even get your opinion.
What I would like you to do is to reply to this thread with what you think could bring out more incentive and activity. Post what you think could get that activity boosted up several knotches. Post what you want to do.
And for the heck of it, I'll give 1000 ICs for every post that you make that gives a suggestion on how to create more incentive/increase activity.
Another little perk to this...
If your idea pulls through and the Army actually uses your idea to increase activity, I'll give you 200,000 ICs. -----------------------

Well from my point of view, we should aim on getting more things into the Army Manual.
We should have a little competition or graphic submission spree to fill up some gaps.
For example, we can try making the medals and uniforms.
As you know, I've already made the first batch of Army Stripes, which Geneal Fury, hasn't reviewed yet. and I will soon be working on the Officer ranks.
And from another point of view, we can also make Squad Patches to be put in uniforms.
So if this all goes through, the VEA will have more exciting stuff to look up to. -----------------------

Anyways; I think there are usually increases in activity when there are Army competitions. I know it's hard to have them too often, but I think that more people would get active if there were intersquad competitions, with not huge rewards, but enough to get people interested.

Hmm, why don't we start another Army Mission,
Not a major one like last time, maybe just a little skirmish type ones.
And another thing is, why not have like, an army intersquad olympics or something.
The winning Squad gets to keep a shield, but if another squad wins the shield the next season, the Squad's personel gets to keep like a a Badge of Power or something like that. -----------------------

In other news, we should also have an Army meeting an a commander's meeting for Squad Leaders and above.
And after the meetings we should have trivias :d.
But instead of getting ICs, we should give like, medals to people who has won it three times or more.
And for 5 times, you add a cresent to it, and so on. -----------------------

Otto, I don't think everyone has ADD. Anyways, I would like to see more storylines where we interact with other squads or get CH8 to us soon  I also would like to see more gaming comps on the intra-squad level. I also agree that the meetings would be good idea to have maybe on a monthly basis for ASLs and above. Just...no trivia for medals afterwards okay? -----------------------

From what I've seen so far....
Medals will NEVER be given as prizes while I am still in charge. You EARN respect and recognition, not win it in game show fashion.
As for trivia, most of you missed a fun round Sunday after that meeting you are all supposed to try to go to. Rizzit was there, he just couldn't stay. TK-112 made a decent showing for the VE, though the FES basically owned the show that day. I can't say this will be a regular thing but one can always hope for the best.
As for having an Elite Squad Competition, I need to see at least two squads getting motivated to do something. As for those squads currently without something to do, if you or your SLs ask, I can cook up some kind of mission.
And TK-112, I know you are relatively new to the Corps, but we actually trimmed down the manual as it was full of superfluous crap. Though this might be a nice addition...still haven't checked my mail yet.
I would love some kind of gaming comp between all you guys. Hopefully someone can give me an indication of a couple games you all think you could compete in (hint, hint).
Keep coming up with those ideas. -----------------------

I thought your SL was working on a mission Afyon.
As for the Dark Dragoons, I have a nice hit and run mission I've been muddling over for the past couple of days. I was having a hard time making it work for a whole platoon of troops but it may just be exactly what you might want. Get a hold of me on IRC and I can let you in on the basics of it. TO CLARIFY: As a squad leader asked for a mission, it is him AND ONLY HIM I wish to discuss the mission with. Thanks for asking but seriously, you should know better.

I think the main problem is, that there are just a couple of members left, which are willing to do something.
Storm Platoon is nearly totally dead, great parts of WildCard are inactive or AWOL.
The Vast Empire has only 75 members - THERE is our problem. With so many inactive people in important positions, we can't keep the rest active.
We have to make a new start here, clean the VE from inactive and AWOL Troopers and Officers, and we can't wait till they retire from theirselves!
When we have fired those lazy scums which will ruine the VE some day, when we did that important step, we can specialize on recruiting new members, perhaps with a recruting division, all over the Internet (galaxy), and show them what the VE got!
Than we will rise to our old glory and power!

I'm with Stormie, it was really hard to find somebody else willing to post on the storynet when we had our story going. I also say that's the best way to get people active, it's something simple you can do. Log on, read a bit, add a bit, log off. It also usually turns out to be pretty interesting  -----------------------

The only thing that AWOL checks do, and I have complained about this, is show that a member can reply to email. I would say %75 of our members doont do jack. And personally I think enough with this praise in public and tell people off in private, I think everyone needs to know what everyone else thinks. As Fury has stated, we only really have one active Squad, that means the rest of you have to get off your lazy asses and do something.
I do realize some of you are starting to pick it up again, and I congratulate you on that. -----------------------
