Well...had a feeling that after bears little competition I would have to address this so here it goes...
Well I don't really want to add another entry to the CoC's sooo...I'll just count this as being that annoying one that we have. Those of you that have bogus and quite annoying colors in their signature need to simplify it. I don't care if you have a few colors in it....sometimes it looks good. However alternating every color every word or letter is very irritating and it needs to stop. I will expect those to change.

I just have to say that I personally liked Liquid's siggy It was new, and it was original. If someone else had followed suit, then it wouldn't have been so amusing. Personally, I have no problems with shifting colors, they don't distract me or anything(I have more focus than that, sometimes it's too much focus... ). Originality is all that counts. Now that it's been done, I don't think others should do it, but that doesn't stop it from being a great idea the first time. Personally, I won't be copying it, because it would detract from it. I'll just go off and think up my own ideas for a colored siggy  (not colored to annoy, I'm smart enough to make it look kewl ). I still don't see what the problem is as long as that's the reason we do it. -----------------------

In my opinion, the colored text does not look professional at all. None of the other text in comnet is colored, why should anything be? -----------------------

Subtle use of colo ur is acceptable maybe to highlight words but a different colour for each word is un-neccecary and is harder to read. -----------------------

Bright colours are annoying and not kind to the eyes. Jubei has some dark colours, so they're better.
The problem with your signature is simply the brightness. Please darken it.. by getting rid of the colour.

Tell me, why, after the entire High Council has said stop it, does Argon basically tease them into doing something about it? I think it was obvious what was wrong with the signatures... so change them and stop figuring out how much you can do without getting in trouble. -----------------------

The problem is that some of our members experiment with new things to be interesting. Jubei, you fit this example and have been very flexible when someone has complained.
The difference is when people pick up on a minor irritation and just can't stop pushing people's buttons.
This may be because there are contrary and do not like people.
This may be because they have not yet learned the social skills required to get along with people who do not agree with them.
This may be because they like their grapes sour and milk spilt.
Basically, trying new things is a healthy part of life. Being a wart on the hind end of everyone's collective experience - is not. -----------------------

Fury, i must say that that shed new light on the color subject for me. I realize now that just because i want something doesn't make it right. I'm sorry if i "pushed anybody's buttons" or made it seem like i was trying to annoy people, im sorry. I thought that it would be neat to have an original, colorful signature, but in doing so, i inflated a seemingly minor thing into a VE controversy. I hereby call for the end of gross use of color in signatures, so that we can all move on to beigger and better, more important matters. This is a trivial thing not worthy of the time devoted to it so far. My next post will have but i color on it, since red is th color of the Army, I keep only that as a symbol of my allegiance to the Army.
oh and just keep the word irish green, its my true nationality, so i really dont want to part with it....
