Strill Weekly Report
03/17/2013

The Story as it Stands

Overarching AAR: Strill flights Aurek and Besh have been doing ground training with the troopers while Makenna and Joamer take care of other business (Cresh is in the air). Later on Joamer orders Strill to make sure to memorize the map of Gwodd LK Nale since coms have been unreliable. Joamer and Makenna eventually end up talking and Joamer promotes her to XO despite her rejection of the position. It isn’t long before the SC and XO realize the coms have gone deadly silent. They take this as their cue to get moving. Joamer issues an order for Strill to get to their fighters. Makenna runs to tell the techs to stop maintenance on the fighters that needed it and get them ready to fly. Eventually Strill squadron gets to their fighters and Joamer issues them an order: focus on the fighters and leave the transports to Jexxel unless an opportune moment dictates otherwise. With that, Strill squadron gets into the air, without the use of comms. The fight has begun.

We don’t want to end up like we did in Bloodmoon: posting a lot at the beginning and then having to rush at the end when we should’ve drawn out the battle. So get to posting, Strill! We want to see one post from each of you every week if possible. Plus we have CO to fight for. You still want it right? Then post.

*raises hand* writer's block is the ultimate suck, and there are very few ways to cure it. Sadly, one of them is just to sit down and force yourself to write something which usually means the results aren't the best, but at least moving forward is easier.

Also good post. I'll get my post in tomorrow before my classes. We need to get this battle moving somewhere.

Also if any kills are made, put the number down in the AAR just to help make it easier to record story numbers.

It may also be a good idea to list if any ID fighters are damaged too.

I'm going to start experimenting with some NPC POV. Trykon's given me permission to play with one of the 2nd fleet's CR90s, so I'm going to create a full NPC crew list (or, at least, create named NPCs for the named positions) and start showing their involvement.

I shall still be writing from Gurlanin's POV, and might branch out into Starlight's (there's a surprise!). We're going to keep CO if I have to write continuously every day!
