"This deal is between the ladies and us." Zorza replied. His eyes narrowed, giving the lizard a warning look that told him to leave. Saphira kept a calm and neutral face as she looked to Lucky. Things were going alright, but still something bothered them both.

"You better go back to your table." Lucky replied, looking almost flustered. Saphira herself started to feel a little funny but couldn't fight it that well. She then felt kardden's hand lay on top of hers. Warm and strong as she gasped gently and looked into the Falleen's eyes.

"Would you care to dance?" He asked and squeezed her hand. The Twi'lek smiled and felt compelled to go with him. As if being with him was the best thing in the world.

"I, uh.." She started to say when Lucky kicked her in the right ankle. The pain was enough to clear her head for a moment. He's using his pheromones! She thought and looked to see Lucky fighting against Zorza's.

Yet, before she could pull her hand away the Falleen pulled her up from the table and lead her to the floor where several other couples were dancing. With him this close to her, it was getting even harder to fight the pull. If she fought or did anything to give themselves away the mission could be ruined. Anger was the only thing that kept herself sane at that moment. Back at the dinner table, Lucky was having her own fight as Zorza moved to be right next to her. Cradling his arm over her shoulders as he talked to her.Somethings wrong...

-------

Back in the bar, things had calmed down. The fight was controlled when one of the troopers saw something. A human walking into the back and looking very tense.

"Madman, check that out!" Tank whispered to the other.

"I saw. Something isn't right. I think we've been found out." He replied back.

It could have been anything. Or nothing. yet, instincts and training gave way to realise that it wasn't just something to not worry about.

"The girls!" Tank replied and started to get up when MadMan slammed him back down and held on to his shoulder.

"They can handle themselves. If we're caught they would have done something by now. I say we figure out whats back there." madman growled.

---------

"Do you have it?" Queried Bryan as the door shut. The human who entered nodded and pulled out a small disk.

"No problems getting here." He replied and handed it to Bryan.

"Good. Now I want yo-" He started when the console in front of him beeped and he turned his attention to it. Readouts came through and they had the information. The group of ' Merchants ' were in fact vast Empire personal. Alarmed the human turned and pressed a button on his com pad. "Just get rid of them! Alert zorza and tell him to deal with the women... I don't care how! They can't leave this planet." After the quick message the man went to the computer and placed the disk in. They had to send what they had and then destroy it!

The Trandoshan growled. His bounty hunter senses tingled even more as he watch the Falleen use their pheromones on the girls.

"I will go back to my table, before pointing out that ssssending a person that's tenssssed up to deliver ssssssecret documentsssss isssss not a good idea." He hissed, referring to the human that walked into the back.

Right on schedule, the first group of brawlers started with the 'merchants' at the bar. As this drew the attention of the New Republic agents in the establishment, they failed to notice another rough group of burly males, various species. Until they were practically at the troopers' table.

"This is our table!" was the only warning they were given before the first punch was thrown. Bryan had started to doge but was nonetheless clipped by the massive fist aimed at his head. Slightly dazed he staggered back as his comrades got to their feet. As a full fledged brawl consumed the cantina, the view of each establishment was cut off from the other by the arrival of a large, unmarked black repulsortruck pulling up to the restaurant where Saph and Lucky were meeting Xorza.

An HK-50 and several GX security droids poured out of the huge vehicle, blasters atomizing the plexisteel wall that was a ceiling-to-floor window and contained the main entrance/exit. The five-star commissary was consumed with chaos in an instant. Innocent patrons were killed as the droids advanced, collateral damage the lead droid enjoyed.

"Xorza? Come out to play, Xorza! It is your time to die!" the HK-50D taunted as it blasted away sentients as they fled for their lives, marching over the dead as it continued it's relentless advance, the GX droids likewise shooting anything that moved.

Saph, Lucky and Voren had by now drawn their hold-out weapons and were crouched behind overturned tables. Xorza had don the same and pulled Kardden to safety; he was hit but not too badly, though the sooner he received medical attention the better. Xorza glared at Saph; the hid bind separate tables just over two meters apart. They hated each other but each was smart enough to realize these droids weren't going to be satisfied with a single target; the death toll rising every second as the killing machines never stopped shooting.

***

Bryan normally avoided tussles with such massive foes, but not having the option of avoidance as a kid he learned to fight dirty. A survival skill the Rebellion (and later New Republic) were more than happy to build upon. The troopers (Vast Empire and New Republic) had taken more than a few bruises apiece and most were bleeding, but the burly brawlers were being taken down.

One burly saw things were going badly and pulled out a thermal detonator. Adenn was able to intercept and keep him from throwing or activating it but it was all he could do; jabbing nerve clusters to keep the brute from being able to dislodge him. Tank saw the situation and ran over, his burly down for the count (finally!).

As Tank ran over he built his momentum as much as the distance would allow. His left hand solidly hit the inside elbow of the arm holding the det; Tank seized the hand holding it in his right and forced it to the brute's face. Once it was mashed up to the brute's mouth, Tank drew his left hand into a fist and rained a flurry of blows on the grenade. He didn't stop until it was in the brute's mouth. Then with a vicious right hook drove the thermal detonator down the brute's throat.

*BEEP* Tank heard the chirp, though slightly muted, of the det's activation. "Fire in the hole!" Tank yelled as he and Adenn grabbed the struggling brute and dragged him to the ruined front of the cantina. At the street they shoved with all their might, sending the thug tumbling toward the truck. They dived back into the cantina...

***

No matter how many GX droids they took out there were always more. And the HK droid was shielded too. Saph knew her people were getting low on ammo; since Xorza and Kardden were shooting as much as the three Horsies they must be running down as well.

Before Saph could get to far with a Plan C, the truck that had vomited forth these infernal droids exploded. The expanding fireball reached far enough into the restaurant to consume most of the GX droids; Saph couldn't see where the HK was. Please let it be slagged... Saphira hoped optimistically.

It was a few minutes for the fire to die down; a couple more for the smoke to clear. The few GX droids still standing were still recalibrating their photoreceptors and correcting other hardware/software issues the blast had caused. Saph and the others made every shot count.

Finally, there were no more droids. No sooner than Saphira allowed herself a sigh of relief, than a charred metal frame rose from the ashes. The HK raised its disruptor rifle. A quick glance told the twi'lek they were all as out of ammo as she. As the assassin droid took aim at Xorza, it's primary target, an indistinct mass came through the smoke and fire...

The HK's head flew through the air to land not far from Saph's feet. She blinked, not recognizing the char-covered man standing near the now-headless droid, a vibrosword held in a reverse grip. Tank walked over, picking up the HK head he said ,"Looks like this party is over. We better get out of here..."

Vor'en nodded.

"I should have sssseen it ssssooner. Sssssomething didn't feel right, and I was going to try to tell you before thissss happened."

Vor'en's Trandoshan cerimonial dagger was soon in his hands instead of his blaster pistol.

"Ssso, where do we go from here? I didn't get a chance to get thisss thing used."

A Republican trooper that survived and was hiding behind some of the debre saw the dagger and immediatly recognized it. Vor'en noticed the man, walked over, picked the trooper up by one hand, and snarled in his face.

"You know who I am?"

The trooper nooded, shaking.

"Y-your that bounty hunter, right? The one that killed several Gungan generals and the leader of the Naboo guard?"

"Wassss a bounty hunter. Now I'm a trooper in the VE. Which bringsss me to my quesstion. What are you doing here? What isss it you're trying to hide?"

Well it didn’t take long for things to get a little more exciting. Big thugs they were, big thugs they fell. Fighting was much like dancing, only more painful and awkward with a lot more stumbling around. He didn’t get much chances to check p on his squad mates as the whole bar room turned into a brawl and soon enough the brawl was ended with a thermo-nuclear discharge that whipped out the enemies in a most…wicked fashion.

Blood spattered where it could, the rest of those caught in the discharged were fried in ways you wouldn’t even want your chicken or any food for that matter. He felt it, that familiar substance down over his chin and right cheek, however various other items that were far from indestructible or flammable had also caught the energy, shattering in hardly pleasant ways as he felt small needles of glass under his flesh, he could feel the sharp, light needles in his bicep and forearm and bleeding mildly.

What made everything worse is the fact this mission hardly screamed ‘subtlety’ especially when Tank chose to roll out the said device before being blinded by the discharge and stumbling over a fell table. He wondered how many people were killed in the onslaught from blunt trauma and friendly fire alone, he may have been a sadistic and cold blooded killer but he never wanted to result in killing someone.

Sure, Republic guys were dead but this did nothing for reputation and he’d rather have none than bear relation to such a mucked up and messy infiltration mission. Slowly Madman started to roll on his side, clenching at the right of his chest as he felt pain where the edge of the table grinded against his ribs shortly before he fell. The pain did nothing to stuff down that awful angry feeling that was clawing up from the depths of body, ruining his normally in-check composure as he pressed the palm of his hand flatly on the surface of the floor.

He could feel it, the heat that was rapidly released from the device baking the room up, though not quite an over and quite far from lethal it was uncomfortable like baking in the sun of Tattooine. Something snapped for a moment as he pushed himself up, reaching over he’d find something nice and blunt…

================
Meanwhile, Saph felt her face soften with a look of relief as Tank of all people had come, with an almost heroic and uncanny timing. Though in the disaster, her clothes had gotten a bit ruffled up she’d take the time to fix herself up as Tank stared at her “Why don’t you take a picture, Tank?” she’d scowl as she fixed herself up.

“Come on Lucky, we’ve got to get out of here, NOW!” She’d sternly turn to Lucky, though it was unnecessary, She could see the whole event bothered here. From only getting what seemed like a fraction of the intel Xorza had she cursed to herself. The Squad Leader and Assistant would climb over discarded Droid Chassis and scattered metal across the floor. As the reached Tank, suddenly a harsh sound would erupt moments after a lagging cringe of pain passed Tank’s face, falling to a knee as throbbing pain ran across the afflicted area, swelling.

Was it republic soldiers? Suddenly a hollow bent rod was tossed through the doorway Tank had stood from, and a set of fiery eyes gazing from the hood of Madman “Be lucky I gave you that much.” He scolded him, feeling that swelling pain in the shape of that rod would suffice for now. Pulling him back to his feet, he’d pull out the hold-out blaster he’d had earlier and he’d hand it to Saph “Here. You would shot first if you weren’t out of ammo.” He deduced, as the four of them high tailed it out of the building, but not before grabbing a dazed Private or Two on their way out.

Vor'en saw the group going and decided to take the guy with him. He knocked the Rep trooper out, slung him in his back, and ran behind Tank as they all moved out of the restaruant.

Vor'en was quite used to undercover operations, but he never liked them. Why in the Scorekeeper's name did his first mission have to be an undercover one, he did not know. All he knew was that he was now part of Iron Horse squad.

A thought soon occured to him. Why didn't they ask him who he was? For all they knew, he could be a spy. As the Republic trooper squirmed to get off of his back, the thought dissappeared and he gripped the trooper's arm harder, making him stop.

What were they doing there?, he wondered. What's our mission and what is really going on here?

As the squad made it to their hotel, he remembered that there were employees in the building. He stopped long enough to knock out the trooper and stuff him in a large bag. Heading inside, he quickly said hello and followed the rest of Iron Horse.

It seemed like the entire battalion of the stationed New Republic troops were pouring down on them. A Luckysstar managed to listen through the wringing pain in her ears, she’d likely get some justice when they got back “Saph we need to go, the New Republic will be on us with transports in no time. We need to get to the-“ however his somewhat weak words were disrupted by a firm instruction “Negative, We need to find another way off this rock.” She’d mutter, it was a bit daunting now that they needed to hijack another ship.

However, their mission wasn’t quite complete “Miss, I believe I can arrange leave from this planet and the information you seek.” The sly Merchant, with a fresh bacta pad and treated wounds would offer as he climbed over a overturned table, with his assistant by his side, talking into some form of communication gear.

“Who’s he-“ Luckystar would start before being interrupted “Our private Dockyard. We must hurry.” Saphira would pocket her blaster as  she lifted one of the carbines equipped by the HK units and tossed it to Madman “Everyone grab a weapon. Let’s head out Lucky. “ She’d tell her as she couldn’t help but grin at the feel of a real weapon. “Madman, round up the new recruits and take to another route. We’ll stay in contact. Try not to die.” She’d entrust the Lance Corporal with some mundane task, though it was assumed she trusted him to guide the green recruits a bite more subtly than she had time for.

Smaller groups made it hard for the large New Republic soldiers to locate so easily. Madman peeled the metal fingers off the Carbine as he admired it mildly before shrugging “Meh. I’ll try not to.” Madman would hurry out, he wasn’t quite so accustomed to such leadership, while it was more or less just leading them here and there and not necessarily ordering anyone around.

======Group 1=======

Saphira quickly turned toward the Falleen “Alright, lead away. After all – your in the same boat as us.” She hissed, mildly peeved that she had to trust this slimeball after what he tried to pull during their ‘date’. Not only that, but even after getting shot, he seemed quite calm about the situation.

The group of them, some of Iron-Horses most experienced soldiers moved out fillowing Xorza out the door, shortly after a couple shouts could be heard. It seemed as if a Rebel Patrol had arrived just as Madman and the group had left, either someone got shot or something. Saphira snatched away the communication device, and tuned it to the private frequency as the group ran, hearing a flurry of footsteps as they turned a corner “Madman!” She’d shout into the device as static rang through, she was certain he had some sort of device but for some reason was getting nothing.

It seemed grim, however he’d hardly expect that a small patrol would get him down. As urban environments made it difficult for a large group of infantry to search efficiently. Saph would shake her head ‘That bastard better nod let himself get caught atleast…’ she’d think to herself in a most annoyed if not somewhat worried fashion not just for herself, but for the others. The group of them managed to avoid the eyes of a Patrol by darting down another alleyway, approaching what appeared to be an area heavy with large, what appeared to be warehouse sized buildings.

“We are almost there!” He’d cry out to the rest as suddenly, he’d feel a stun shot hit him, driving him to the ground in pain, still conscious. There were several New Republic soldiers, 4 of them that had just stumbled over them. They were mildly bewildered by why they were traveling with two suspects that were supposed to be dead, that’s what the report said.

Quickly, Saph threw her body against the wall, and knelt down behind a crate, aiming the gun forward and taking shots, nailing one in the shoulder. They were young, likely fresh from the academies. The other two began to take aim as Lucky took behind another Durasteel crate and took aim. In the crossfire the man’s assistant caught several bolts from the enemy soldiers to the back as he stumbled and twisted over Xorza. This ‘cover’ served a good purpose as the three soldiers were shot down in their tracks.

Gritting her teeth, she could feel the grime from the wall and street over her bare shoulder and knees. She was looking much less lady like than she had before, Xorza managed to recover, feeling like he was getting tired of his bullshit. He walked over to the back door of the building, taking out his keycard and sliding it through.

Quickly the group found refuge inside of this place as Xorza moved forward, they then suddenly felt something cold…round, and metal at their backs. There were several men, Ubese by the look of their black armor with the soldiers

“Welcome to my humble little Port.” He’d curtly invite them in, albeit at gunpoint from the hired men. “I wasn’t going to offer this so…directly, however I simply don’t think I can let you go.” He’d of course be referring to Saphira.

“In exchange for this lovely ship, and within it the information – I will be taking this lovely Twi’lek.” He’d smile, most likely since it was a win-win situation. “And how do you expect to leave alive? The New Republic wants you dead.” Lucky would reply in a slightly annoyed fashion, likely wishing she could nail him between the eyes. Saphira’s eyes looked fierce, primal as a great deal of rage boiled in her “Sith’s Spit! This isn’t part of the deal!”

“It is now…’ He’d laugh, however little did he know that Madman and their group had been listening the whole time. Though Saphira was fierce and repulsed and Luckystar much the same, The sleazebag chose to let his Pheromones spread, particularly onto Saph that began feeling their ‘persuasive’ affects, though willfully she fought their influence “Bastard…” It was all she could say, she was unsure what to do, were her squad willing to die rather than get bullied by some dirty merchant?

Was there saying no? However before a yes or no was given, the door slid open and a cooked Flashbang was tossed in, penetrating the Enclosed darkened helmets of the Ubese Mercs and scalding Xorza’s wide eyes of surprise with searing pain. The three of them were also stunned and blinded as Madman, Adenn, Voren and Constantine burst in, all of which were armed with carbines, 2 of which were offered by the dead NR soldiers.

Madman bashed the bunt of his Carbine squarely into an Ubese Soldiers head, and kicked off his helmet, shooting him through the head, the other Ubese shared the same fate at the hands of the recruits. As Xorza, Luckystar and Saph regained their vision, Saph had already found the merchant’s head and pressed the pistol against it in an agitated way.

“I’d kill you…” She’d spit, appalled that she couldn’t pull the trigged, perhaps still under the influence. However she wouldn’t need to as Madman came up from behind and forced her to do it “By the way…you left the link on.” He’d offer quaintly.

======Group 2=======
Suddenly as the larger group, consisting of Skjoll as the party leader had packed up and prepared to take leave Madman managed to take a Blaster bolt in his Commlink, grazing his ear with hot energy and melting the sensitive bits of the head piece. He then pushed Adenn to the side “Constantine, Adenn take cover and divert their fire. Voren.” He’d turn to the ex-Mercenary,  “You and I are going to hit ‘em when their not looking.

The firefight was short, the group of them stood up though it was clear Constantine by his Scowling, was certain that some of these young new recruits were disliking following instructions from a guy that was basically only slightly more experienced  than themselves. “Quickly, let’s get across the street. Also, be on the look out for any soldiers with a comm.-set on.” He’d tell them as they started across as quickly as they could, which was decent without the heavy Stormtrooper armor on. Constantine snarkily remarked “Thought we were leaving, and you want us to die so you can get your hands on a toy?” He’d ask, though it was clear he was just having an attitude.

“Well we won’t be leaving if we don’t know where our Squad leader is.” He’d retort back, as they ran behind the back of a building. They could hear quite a few footsteps, it was unfortunate that the area they’d ran into was hot. There could be some shouting, from some desperate and higher ranking man. Dressed in what appeared to be a special suit of New Republic gear, he and several soldiers would begin to pour into the alley “There they are! Don’t let them escape!” He cried forth as two of what seemed like too many troops got on a knee and fired, Adenn and Vorren avoiding getting hit.

Though this wasn’t a party to Vorren as he tugged a grenade out and  rolled it forth, exploding though managing to catch a crate and drive the corner into one man’s eye as he screamed in fear and distress. The rest of them took the opportunity to ruthlessly shoot down those who were caught off guard with the explosion. The men were shocked that for undercover and unarmed VE personel they were armed pretty well.

“Voren, that’s your name right?” He’d ask, nailing the commander in the leg ad Vorren nodded, “Why didn’t you bring grenades for the rest of the class?” He’d ask, before standing “Alright, pull back, we’re going back across the street.” He’d tell them as he kicked the commanders rifle away, taking his comm. Gear. And setting it to the right channel.

Though it was hardly masterful command work, Madman hitting deadends and corners. What finally lead them in the right direction was nearby blaster fire, near the warehouse that sent them in the right direction. This way!” Though he’d fatigued the soldiers quite a bit, it was a clue they could all confirm themselves. They’d taken out a couple scout patrols before Madman halted their movements when they were so close.

“Why are we stopping? Let’s just go!” Constantine would start for the door “They’ve got our SL trapped in there, not sure how many.” The Falleen would turn and raise a brow “Well, guess our fearless leader isn’t too-“ Madman would interrupt “more intelligent then you, Vorren get a Grenade out. We’re gonna throw them a surprise party, but sadly I didn’t have time to bake them a cake.” He’d frown, as he took the grenade…he had to time this perfectly…

Tank hated trudging through sewers, but a human covered with soot and carrying the head of an HK-series assassin droid would draw all kinds of unwanted attention. Especially as he was fleeing a crime scene. Tank hoped the others made it to one of the safehouses various squad members had set up earlier. Their hotel wouldn't be safe.

After the better part of an hour Tank reached the street access behind the safehouse. Tank ascended the ladder and paused before moving the manhole cover. Listening for traffic of pedestrians, he heard neither.

Waiting another minute, then a few more just to be safe. Cautiously raising the edge just a crack, he scanned the area, the droid head pinned between his chest and the ladder. Sliding the manhole cover aside, Tank set the droid's remains on the pavement to finish climbing out. Quickly and as quietly as he could he set the cover back in place before retrieving the HK head and dashing across the street.

Fishing a keycard from his pocket, Tank let himself in and locked the door behind him.

*******************************************************************************
One hot shower later...

Aaaahh! was the only thought Tank had as he flopped down on the bed, reveling in how good it felt to just be clean. *sigh* Better crack this droid open... Tank sat up and looked at the HK head as he devised his plan of attack. Getting up he dressed and retrieved his tools.

Sitting at the table he looked the droid remains over a bit before removing the plates on the back and top of the head. Hmn... an HK-50D3 unit... Tank noted as he made a mental checklist as he identified the many various components and upgrades to the droid brain. Identifying five security nodes to prevent unauthorized access, Tank set about disabling those first.

Twenty-two minutes later Tank was clear to access the droid's memory. Jacking his datapad to the droid's brain, Tank started with the most recent memories and worked back. "Hell-oh..." Tank said as he found what he felt he'd been looking for. A fat, balding Falleen male with a scrawny assistant clearly believed himself to be the most important man in the room; from the look of the sycophants and toadies he surrounded himself with, they seemed to be convinced that he was. Delusions of Grandeur much? Tank mused as the recording played.

"Query: What about the meatbags Xorza is meeting?"

"Collateral damage H. Knock yourself out." The slob spilled some food on himself as he dug into his food.

"B-b-b-b-but Zal! Revenge against the New Republic operatives that v-v-v-vaped our guys is o-o-one thing, but t-t-taking out the Imps?" the lackey fretted.

(Talking with food in his mouth)"Xazee, how many times I'ze gotz to ezplain? Taking out both sides' leaders makes it easier for my crew to infiltrate their pathetic bands. My influence grews and whichever side wins, I win as I'll be the kingpin on the new Falleen! Besides, Salo Zild is my only man left in Bryan's circle of operatives; that damn Xorza exposed and killed all the rest!"

"Rhetorical Statement: Acknowledged. I shall enjoy exterminating any and all meatbags that oppose you, Zal Xakone!" the assassin said before leaving the room.

Zal Xakone? Never heard of him, and he wasn't in any of the intel we had. Saph'll want to see this! Packing the HK head into a backpack with some other gear, he was off to the alternate safehouses...

Vor'en, meanwhile, had dissappeared. Madman looked around for the ex bounty hunter, but he wasn't in sight.

"Where'd he go? I swore he was right next to me." He scratched his head.

***

Around the back of a building a block from where the rest of the squad was, Vor'en attempted to compose himself after throwing up red ribbons of blood. Unknown to everyone but him, during the fight in the restaurant, someone injected something into him. He guessed it might be a poison, but why him? Why not Saphera, or Lucky?

He pondered this as he wiped his mouth. He'd get the medic when they would get back home. For now, stick with the mission.

Vor'en started to walk forward, and nearly toppled over. He regained his balance and managed to walk on back towards the squad. Only one question remained: Where is Tank? He was in the fight at the restaurant, but not here, so where is he? Captured? Lost?

He shook his head as an answer to the question why did they poison him instead of his squad leader came into his thoughts. He'd really caused the Republic and several Hutt cartels a lot of trouble, seeing as most of his bounties came from those two parties.

As he walked on, he smirked. The poison was most likely going to kill him over a matter of years, as he had used this exact poison against a Rep colonel: Undetectable in tox screenings, and disguised visually and physically as a kind of sickness.

No matter, he thought. He made it through a week on Tatooine in the desert with a broken leg, so why can't he last a few years with a poison slowly killing him?

Vor'en had made it back to the rest of the squad and straightened up.

"Ssssorry for leaving. I thought I ssssaw a Republic sssssoldier run down the alleywayssssss."

Adenn put a hand to his side, resting it there as they converged on the door, the door that held behind it, two captives of this incursion. The mandalorian's breathing was normal, though he was doing so quickly, to give oxygen to his muscles as he tensed, the firefight had taken him by surprise..to say the least. He never got to enjoy the drink he had ordered before all hell broke loose.

His eyes watched Constantine wryly the Falleen had a respectable mind, but wouldn't that grenade possibly harm the very individuals they were to rescue? Unless it was a flash bang, or a concussion grenade. He'd rather deal with minor injuries than two dead squad mates. That would be depressing to no end.

"Well lets just make sure this isn't our last party..." Adenn said with a smirk and a nod. He supported Constantine though he had his doubts.

Saph heard some knocking sounds on the other side of the door, someone was there meaning she had to hurry up with a plan of her own. Looking around quickly, she noted that she didn't have that many captors, three in total, one of which was standing facing the door, another was peering out a nearby crack in the wall which she guessed faced the outside world or at least, the small sliver of a view of that outside world. The third man she wasn't too worried about, he was slumped in a chair, a bottle of strong booze dangerously tipped in his hand. They had been bored and had found a few bottles of boooze in a dusty crate, the two hadn't drunk as much as this third man, what they hadn't known at the time was that the alcohol was well aged, at least five years old.

Thinking deeply, she thought hard and twitched at first, then shifted her weight uncomfortably. the man sitting at the crack of light looked at her, is eyes glazed slightly "Whuz wrong, doll?" he slurred out somewhat.

"I need to use the lavatory" Saph lied.

"Do you, huh? Well then let's get down to business, doll"

Getting up,he untied her wrists from the back of the  chair and forced her up, holding hr by the arm he walked her a few steps into a hall and shved her into a room, locking it closed before sitting in front of the door in wait.

=======Meanwhile, in the next room=========

Lucky had been locked up in a cold, smelly, windowless room, she had been listening intently to the goings on outside. Saph's voice could be heard as well as that of a man's. She heard a door slam firmly shut and a slight knock, like a heavy object or person was slumped against a wall or door, through the ventilation system, she could hear footsteps, they sounded like Saph's walking pattern, the sound of her boots was also distinguishable.

Standing, she brought the chair she had been sitting on to the vent and climbed up. earlier she had managed to free herself of her bonds and had remained seated with the restraints around her wrists in case one of their captors was to walk in. Taking a chance, she brought herself up to the grille and whispered Saph

"Lucky?" came back a soft, hushed reply.

"Yeah, you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. How are you?"

"Unharmed, I have a plan"

Ten minutes later, Saph had not called the guard to open the door, when he had called to her she had stated that her inner workings were having issues. This had given time for Lucky to unscrew the screws that were holding the grille with the small knife she always kept concealed, the guards had searched her but hadn't managed to find it.

Wormig herself up and into the vent, trying to make the least sound as possible, she found her way to the bathroom where saph was awaiting her arrival. She pushed the grille outward, it fell into Saph's arms and was placed on the ground as Lucky clambered out and in a cat-like motion, she landed on all fours in the bathroom floor.

Looking at where the hinges faced, Lucky ducked under the sink which was on the same side as the door hinges and motioned for Saph to call the guard.

"I'm all done and doing better, you're free to open the door!"

A click was heard as the one-sided locking mechanism was engaged and the door swung open, managing to conceal Lucky even further in its shadow. As the guard came up to grab her arms once again, Lucky lashed out and knocked him against the wall with a soft thud , in a fluid motion she placed her arm against his windpipe before he could do anything and a few seconds later, h was out cold, slumped gaainst the bathroom wall.

The two women put the grille back in place and locked the unconscious man in the bathroom before moving on to the door out of this crammed place.

As they reached the main roo door, a bang was heard and wisps of light gray smoke could be seen on the other side of the door, as they shoved the door open they saw the two men dead and a welcoming party, Iton Horse-style.

"Good job boys, now let's gather the others and get off this balsted rock."

There had been no sign of anyone at either of the two safehouses Tank was certain at least some of the others would have used. The encrypted commlink was likewise silent. This worried him, not an easy task under normal circumstances but this mission was anything but normal as far as he was concerned.

As he started walking in the general direction of safehouse three, he noticed a few police cruisers slowly converging on the intersection up ahead. Playing it cool and 'walking casually' his mind kicked into overdrive, but efforts to formulate contingency plans were foiled by a loud shout-out "Kal!". His only warning before being pounced on by a strongly affectionate, green skinned Falleen with long dark hair. Tanl was taken by surprise with her liplock, and having literally wrapped herself around him had knocked some wind out of him, but when she came up for air she didn't miss a beat. "You didn't think you'd get away from ol' Lara that easily now, ya sly spacer you?"

Putting on his best lopsided grin "I guess I didn't try hard enough, sweetheart..." he said casually.

With a mock punch to his shoulder, "Well, now that I've caught you, I'll have to you home and punish you!"

******************************************************************************
Shortly after boarding one of a pair of modified RM-09 shuttles...

"Well there you have it." Tank finished catching 'Lara' up on what happened so far and also what he learned from the droid. Zalara Xykor, Scout Trooper for the Vast Empire had been under cover as Lara Xin, droid merchant and smuggler.

"So what's our next move?"

"What droids do you have?"

"Not much. Some astromechs, mouse droids, a gunnery droid and some B-1 battle droids."

"Any blasters?"

"Of course."

"And both of these shuttles?"

"I see where this is going..." she said with a smile, her tone equal parts sarcastic and playful...

*****************************************************************************

Saph was getting tired of this frelling gundark-dropping mission. Saph, Lucky, Skjoll and Adenn were taking turns roughing up Xorza and Kardden, in between shooting at any enemy that showed his/her/itself. Meanwhile, Katarn and Constantine had their hands full, laying cover fire while keeping Vor'en on his feet and moving. No-one had an antidote kit on them, leaving the Trandoshan progressively more and more out of it.

At this point it's looking more like they'll have a firefight all the way to and through the starport...

******************************************************************************

Bryan was beyond inventing new curses. His men getting in and out of gunfights with criminals every other block, it was getting harder to discreetly follow the trail of chaos left by the imperials...

*******************************************************************************

Zal Xakone was outraged. Not only had the assassin droids failed miserably, many of his best sentients were dead or in custody. His lieutenants in the field were panicking and making costly mistakes. Cops were abuzz with trying to contain the calamity...

"So now what?" MadMan as they had moved the bodies away from prying eyes. saphira scowled and looked to Lucky who rolled her shoulders.

"We get out of here." She started and looked around. " Where's Tank?"

No one had seemed to notice that he was still missing. With him gone and a now acquired new member, things were getting interesting. Yet, they still didn't have the information they needed. It still annoyed her that they had the falleen with them.

Obviously something is going on. We sure made our presence known.

"Now...what was that about being undercover?" MadMan would ask as he drew a sharp snap of his fist across the Falleen's face, "Guess that means the Dinner was a flop?" He'd ask as he offered another fist across Xorza's face, those swinty swollen sockets just asking a question, Why? Madman would grin "Oh, I just love hitting people sometime."

"Knock it off soldier boy!" Lucky replied. "We don't have time to play around."

MadMan gave a grin that told Saphira that he was just toying with the Falleen. Fortunately, the Falleen kept his mouth shut.

"Why should we? He probably;y has information we need. I'm sure if I jabbed a knife into his eye socket he'd be more inclined to give it to us." He added and looked to Saphira. The Twi'lek swore she saw him wink at her.

"Enough. You're right he probably has information the VE could use. Therefor, we are going to take him back and let the upper chain deal with him. Now, if your all done, we need to get to a ship and get out of here." Saphira replied as they moved to the other side of the building.

They all knew that it was impossible to get back to their own ship. A smile came to her lips as they pressed back. There was a ship right in front of them prepping to leave.

Let the higher command deal with having to replace an old beat up ship. This one here will be more then enough to replace it.

"Saphira, look. it's Tank!." Whispered one of the others. The Twi'lek looked down the road to see Tank walking about as if it was no big deal!

"Idiot!" MadMan growled, voicing Saphira's own thought.

"Don't grab his attention. ewww, looks like he went diving in the sewers." Lucky wrinkled her nose in disgust.

"I think he did. At least he looks like a beggar."

"Alright, I have an idea." Saphira looked back to the Falleen and Lucky. "Lucky, go with him and walk up tot he ship. The rest of us will flank it and take down the remaining guards. Make it quick. I don't think we will be able to hide our -"

Alarms went off.

"Never mind that now. Just go!" Lucky shouted.

The entire team rushed forward, blasters out as they fought their way through the few guards. Tank then rushed up and gave a grin to the rest as MadMand and the Trando ran up the ramp to take care of those on board.

"I don't want to know.." Saphira replied and rolled her eyes. Lucky wrinkled her nose as she got a wiff of the oder rolling off him.

"Well I have some infor -"

"So do we, get on before were grounded." Lucky shot back. A few cries came fromt he ship as they ran up the ramp. MadMan had just came up with two NR troops knocked out. He didn't say anything as he tossed them out of the ship and hit the switch to close the ramp as NR and falleen came pouring out of the nearest building. Blasters going off and shooting harmlessly off the outer hull.

"Get us out of here!" Saphira cried out. The ship lurched forward, jostling them forward to slam into the bulkhead. When she could balance herself, Saph, moved up to see the Trando piloting the ship.

"Ssssssoorrryy." He replied and Saph only nodded when she took a seat int he co-pilot seat and closed her eyes.

-------

"Saph! wake up!"

Someone was shoving at her shoulder. Opening her eyes she saw that Lucky was standing over her with a grin.

"What? Please tell me MadMan didn't kill the Falleen?" She murmured and stretched.

"No, not at all. It's whats on the ship! This ship was leaving with information we had been looking for!"

"What?!" Saph stood up and was instantly awake.

"Some new weapon they were working on here. The Falleen that were being recruited there as spy's. Just as we thought." Lucky replied.

"Has anyone gone over what it is?" The Twi'lek asked and walked back to where the other members were at.

"No, but there will be a way I'm sure for it to be destroyed." Lucky grinned.

"Has anyone thought to send a message ahead saying we aren't in the ship we left in?" Tank interrupted. Lucky for him, there was a fresher' on the ship and he managed to wash some of the stink off of him.

"We'll worry about that when we get there. Right now we have a few hours to relax before things move again." Saphira replied before taking a seat with the rest of the Iron Horse Squad.
