It's that time of year again.  This year we have a big anniversary.  The 10 Year Anniversary Celebration!

That's right, we've been around for 10 years already.  Doesn't even seem like 10 years.

What we need to do now is set a date for the 10 Year Anniversary Celebration; and we're going to need your help.

I have put up a poll on the main site for the Sundays in June and July.  I only skipped one Sunday as I'll be out of town then.

Make sure to vote as soon as possible for your best choice so we can start planning.

On what date was the VE actually founded, though? The decisions seems so arbitrary without knowing that, and I can't seem to find it anywhere.

It looks like June 22nd is going to be the date for the Vast Empire 10 Year Anniversary.

Mark it on your calenders so you don't forget.

I'll be needing some volunteers to help run some activities at the celebration.  Let me know if you are interested.

We are going to need some volunteers for the Vast Empire Anniversary Celebration this year.

• Imperial Lottery (100,000,000 ICs)
• VE Raffle (maybe)

I'll be running the lottery as well as the raffle if we decide to have one.  Start purchasing your Imperial Lottery tickets now though.  The jackpot is up to 100,000,000 ICs for the Anniversary Celebration.

I know some of you have sent me a private message about helping out with the anniversary celebration.  Go ahead and reply to this topic so I know which type of event you would like to help out with.

Might be a bit late for this suggestion, but its an idea for recruitment.

An recruit competition.
Each member in the VE needs to recruit one person(or more if they like)

The recruiter is responsible for the recruit's activity or making sure he stays without being a bastard of course. He encourages the recruit and helps him through VE training/army/navy.

Of course, the competition lasts example: 2 weeks.
Recruiters recieves x-amount of money or prize, and the recruit receives as well.  This will be based on which recruit came out on top.
Im not sure how the judging system would work, though I can imagine that recruiters whose recruits stayed on should receive an automatic prize.

Of course people would prolly register double accounts and what not or what not, but there's the rough draft for you lot to peek at and do with what you want should it be used. Have fun and happy 20th of June!

... umm ... you are asking if Xbox Live works on an Xbox 360 in a thread about the Vast Empire 10 Year Anniversary? Oh ... I see ... wait there was something bout' an Xbox live Tourney? Dang ... my adapter just broke.

I might be able to do Trivia. I have a couple work appointments, but I could probably do a trivia from around 8-9 PM EST. If no one else does one, that's when I can do it.

Excellent.  Any gamemasters going to be around to do an RPG game?

Also, each event will also have prizes and awards.

Here are the monetary rewards for the events:
1st Place - 1,000,000 ICs
2nd Place - 750,000 ICs
3rd Place - 500,000 ICs
4th Place - 250,000 ICs
5th Place - 100,000 ICs

Those of you that are running the events will need to keep track of the scores for each member that participated.  Make sure to send the final results to me after the event is over so I can send out the awards.

The start time for the Vast Empire 10 Year Anniversary is at our regularly scheduled meeting time.

The anniversary is all day long, so people are definitely welcome to celebrate the entire day!

There are a lot of prizes and random prize drawing that will be going on throughout the day.  So stick around as long as possible to take part in the fun.  The 10 year celebration only comes after 10 years; which is a lot of time, energy, commitment, and fun!
