The metallic handle of the blaster was warm as it sat in Rogueboy’s hand. Something had disturbed his slumber and he had pulled out the blaster that he kept under his pillow, switching the safety off he went to go investigate his apartment room. Creeping extremely silently into the kitchen; dark shadows playing off the floors giving excellent cover to anything that might be lurking in the mess of appliances and other miscellaneous crap that littered Rogue’s natural habitat. Sure enough he found the intruder it was round and made of duraplastic; a ball. Rogueboy looked at his galactic watch which was a gift from Namyr on his birthday, inputting a short code and muttering “Tadath.” He was able to see that it was 23:00, since when did he go to bed so early? Then he realized that tomorrow was a big day; it would be their first mission since the debacle on Yuka and Raiders would be replacing the soldiers that they lost; Yush, Sylix, and Marka who had lost his mind upon return to Tadath. According to the psychologists the stress got to him and he would need immediate psychological attention for an indefinite amount of time. Rogueboy climbed back into his bed, mindful to thumb the safety off of his pistol as he slipped it under the pillow and fell back to sleep.

The next morning Rogueboy was arguing with Darr. “Did you look at those recruits? They’re most stupid than a bantha in heat!”

“Rogue, relax I’m sure they aren’t all that bad, which one of them isn’t that bright?” Darr asked as he was pressing keys on the terminal he was using.

“It’s Rakysh the wookie, he was trying to fit himself in STC gear but he obviously has to get it customized, I think he tore through a set of armour, Now I’m gonna get chewed out by the Imperial Credit pushing quartermasters.” Rogueboy sighed in frustration at his resigned fate. “What are you doing on the terminal anyways?”

Darr laughed at Rogue’s plight before answering his question. “I got our orders...”

Rogueboy interrupted. “High Command?”

“No, a local politician has requested that the army delegate a squad to help combat Thrawnist sympathizers. We’re not given the details just yet until I either accept or decline the mission. What do you think we should do?” Darr asked.

“Well you’re the squad leader but sounds like an easy enough mission, wave some guns around and arrest the Sith loving bastards. Good morale booster for a squad of new recruits, don’t think any of them will freak out.” Rogue added bluntly.
Darr accepted the mission, he and Rogue looked over the mission before discussing it amongst themselves, then it was time to break the news to the squad.

Rogueboy always disliked the debriefing rooms; a mess of chairs, holoprojecter with cube reader, and a tray of caf and biscuits quickly glancing over the new recruits again he attempted to imprint their faces in his memory, and while the names won’t come quickly they will eventually, trusting the greenies stay alive for a mission or two. There was the “walking carpet” which is what Rogueboy dubbed Rakysh whose fur was a dark shade of brown that was a trademark with the majority of his race. Another one of the recruits had a near shaved head except for about a half centimetre of hair, Rogueboy could not remember his name. The others were more or less nondescript with the exception of another human who had a cybernetic arm.

Darr walked up to the holoprojector and inserted a datacube, turning to the squad he began speaking as the image of a man appeared. “This is Barada Vashim, a local politician who is suspected of being a Thrawn supporter, our mission is to find out if he is indeed an enemy of the Vast Empire. If so we are to execute him.” Darr pressed the holoprojector remote and the image of the Klatooinian’s dog-like face disappeared to reveal an opulent house. “This is Barada’s house, there are three entrances, front door that is watched by a camera that is connected to a private security company. Additionally he has a full staff of servants, and three bodyguards, two for him and one for his wife.”

Darr paused for a moment before continuing. “Alright guys no jerking the wampa around, we’re going to need to infiltrate his house and bug it, I want 24 hour surveillance on this guy. I also want to know who he talks to, who they talk to and what they talk about. I also want someone to tail the wife in case she might know some things we do not. I have requested the necessary equipment but with all the forms to fill out we won’t get them until tomorrow. You guys are dismissed until tomorrow unless Rogueboy would like to add something.” Darr looked at Rogue with an eyebrow raised.

“I would, with all the new faces around I think we should get to know one another better. I booked one of the Zone courts so we can play a quick game or two before the mission, since there’s only nine of us instead of the required twelve one of us is gonna be rotating in order to keep the teams fair. You guys in?”

You guys in?
~ ~ ~

Zorgn grinned. First day in the squad and they already had orders. You gotta hand it to the top brass, they don't waste any time with pleasantries. He'd barely got his shiny new toys out of the plastic wrapping this morning, and from upon high comes the orders to use them.

That's what he wanted to hear. Come all ye greenhorns, kill for the empire.

The mission was not exactly what he'd expected for a squad specializing in multi-enviroment operations, but you can't always get what you want. He'd known they wouldn't let him into space on his first mission, but he'd hoped for a jungle or something. The tail and kill bit screamed special ops.

Nobody else seemed eager to speak up, so it seemed the duty of agreeing with the higher-ups fell to him. "I'm in, sir. When and where?"

Zorgn didn't know what sport they'd be playing, but he was a quick learner and would probably do fine. The mission was still on his mind, however. Barada Vashim, if their suspicions proved true, had a date with destiny and an unpleasant visit from the imperial army. This would be his first live mission, and he wouldn't screw it up.

The spy stuff would work out. He had a tagger somewhere in his gear that could be used if needed. Hopefully everyone had comlinks, as Zorgn suspected communication would play a key part in the hunt. He didn't have the equipment for bugging a house, but felt sure the squad leader would take care of that.

All he had to do was shake that nagging feeling of doubt from his head. Destiny...

Fenris sighed as he heard his first mission.  Nothing to difficult, which was good.  He got the slight feeling that Rogueboy didn't exactly trust him, or any of the recruits for that matter.  He'll have to prove it to Rogueboy like he proved it to his DI.

"Sir, Zoneball isn't really my thing, so if you don't mind I'll watch.  Keep the teams even anyway" said Fenris.  Fenris didn't want to ask if Rogueboy trusted him, it was clear as day he didn't.  Fenris figured he'd do his job, and do it with excellence.

Before Fenris went to the court he stopped by his quarters.  Picked up his set of tools, his weapons, and a glove and decided to head for the court.  Fenris always had an interest with his Cyberkinetic Arm, it started out scrawny, but over heavy modification, it was bulkier and stronger then some of the standard issue Cyber's.  Taking a quick glance at the court, you could see half the players were clumsy at the game.  Rakysh was having a hard time using his hover equipment, they weren't meant for a two metre tall rug in them.  Zorgn wasn't as bad, but you could tell he'd never played the game.

Fenris's attention returned to his arm.  Most modifications on his Cyberkinetic Arm were legal.  Some weren't.  He had installed a microphone that doubled as a com-link, figured it'd be useful for Reconnaissance or Intel gathering. Fenris was up for anything that this Thrawn Supporter had to throw at him.

The thing he was looking forward to do, was bringing this Son of a Sith down, and hard.  They're going in there basically blind,  not a lot of intel on how he is supporting Thrawn, we just know he is supporting him.  Knowing this squads luck he probably made some super soldier, or a shield the reflects blaster fire at the person who shot it.  Whatever it was, Fenris couldn't wait.

"Tell me how you're going to play for that uniform recruit, they don't just grow on trees, let alone the Empire hates losing credits," the fat man in the uniform stock room threatened a young Wookiee, "I'm half tempted to call my superior and have him come down and give you the brig right now," the man sneered his chin bobbling as he did so.

"For what, your own stupidity?" Namyr said from the entrance of the stock room. Her yellow eyes glittered a little her and this Lance Corporal had problems before, "As I see it it's your own fault for not realizing that not everyone is human and trying to fit everyone into the standard size armour so you can use the extra budget to get a new droid or whatever the hell you spend that money on."

"You can't just burst in here," the Lance Corporal stuttered his chins wobbling more as his face turned red in anger, "You have no right!"

"Oh," Namyr said a roguish grin coming to her face as she put her hands on her hips, "I most certainly do, Private First Class Rakysh, I'm Sergeant Namyr'Olgkru Lythune, just call me Sarge or Nams it's easier. I believe I've been assigned to make sure fucks like this don't try to take advantage for recruits for their own mistakes," she gave Rakysh a wink before turning back to the Lance Corporal, "I think I'll take it from here, and do this again I will write a report on you and bring all your slimy little habits to light to your superior, she hissed dangerously before turning to the attendant, "Private, get this Raider proper armour, make sure he's measures, fitted, and for damn sakes make sure they're new last thing we need is him being taken down by Ewoks due to faulty armour."

"Yes, Ma'am," the Private spoke saluting Namyr who saluted back, before handing her a set of custom made armour, "Your armour is in as well, Sarge."

"Thanks," Namyr looked at the Private's name tag, "Private Johnson," though Namyr had to admit she still wasn't use to the awed looks on the newer Soldiers in Corps faces when she spoke to them. Third in rank in the Raiders, part of the ARC division. Let alone leading the slave rebellion on Ryloth, etc etc, she wasn't used to being looked at as one of those Soldiers that were spoken about in Cantinas. Shaking her head in amusement, she liked Private Johnson, she was good at what she did, Namyr would keep her name for the next time she needed her armour fitted, the woman did good work and unlike the Lance Corporal actually enjoyed and cared what she did.

"Don't worry about the armour, it's sort of well known that they have trouble with the nonhuman species. I just have to think the Goddess my parents didn't believe in having the ear cone surgery that's so popular right now, or I'd have to fight communications as well. Anyway, Rakysh, meeting in an hour think you can find the briefing room?" the Wookiee nodded, "Good see you then," she said with another smirk and walked out the room.

Walking down that hallway the armour dispute resolved, Namyr was able to get back to her thoughts. Other then her lack of sleep, which was usual due to her constant nightmares. She blamed it on stress, she had seen several squad members die on the last mission, she shivered slightly, seeing their reanimated bodies in her dreams was enough for her to spend more and more nights over at Rogueboy's apartment. Not only that her nightmares sometimes told a story of what might happen in the future, to Darr, to Leon, to Rogueboy, their faces smeared with blood, cuts, and other injuries begging her, 'why, why did this happen to them?' The only time the nightmares had stopped had been when she had thought that Rogueboy retired, then through a series of events he ended up reenlisting. Though some good came out of it due to them getting together in that short space he was out of the Corps, applied them to the rule of being together before the Corps and therefore the no inter squad relationship didn't apply. She remembered him getting up from bed the night before for some reason, blaster in hand, but by the time he had returned she had fallen back to sleep only to awake at three in the morning to another nightmare.

Namyr blinked several times and saw she was standing in front of the briefing room door, she sighed, there was never enough time just to think. Slipping inside she took her seat, and sat through the briefing, the whole time her mind elsewhere. Mindlessly she drew on a piece of scrap paper, occasionally she looked up at the new recruits, they looked so young, so innocent to this type of thing. Where a mission meant excitement, new adventures, not death and pain. Namyr shook her head, maybe she should get her head checked out, recently her thoughts did seem to be darker, well since she started having more to care about. That and being sick every other week didn't help either. Luckily a daily regiment of vitamins seemed to help her a little when she felt sick.

“I would, with all the new faces around I think we should get to know one another better. I booked one of the Zone courts so we can play a quick game or two before the mission, since there’s only nine of us instead of the required twelve one of us is gonna be rotating in order to keep the teams fair. You guys in?” Rogueboy said smiling, Namyr just barely caught his eye before looking down again at her drawings, mostly just scribbles, her cheeks flushed as she noticed that she had drawn a rough sketch of his face. Chuckling slightly she crumbled the paper up and tossed it into the trash, and nodded to Rogueboy that she would join in the game. Between the new people both teams would have to have at least one older member on it. Rogueboy for one team for his strength, and Namyr on the other for her speed and agility. Thus the fun times begun.

A quick trip to the locker room and Namyr appeared out on the court in only her sports bra and a pair of boy shorts, and of course decked out in the equipment for the game, Her Lekku had been tied back into two loops and then tucked under the helmet. She started to stretch only to be grabbed from behind and spun around, "Alex'eswo, let go, stretching is very serious business!" she gasped laughing a little.

Fenris watched as the game progressed.  He understood the concept of the game, but not all the details. He knew they were specific gravity changing gear, and that you could use anything around you to project yourself, even players.  Haven't seen any bloodshed yet, which Fenris frowned at.  He didn't like seeing other peoples pain, he just liked the expression on peoples faces when a big accident happens.  Fenris had a feeling he could stop looking for an accident to happen, there would be one...unless the Wookiee lost...

The Mission itself seemed odd.  A politician knew about Thrawn Supporters.  It usually never goes that high up.  Whenever a Politician is involved it meant trouble.  Fenris didn't like Politicians, nor did he like it when they decided to tell him what to do.  We're gonna have to bug the Thrawn Supporters house...probably should wait till night, unless our SL has a way of getting us in there undetected.  We'll need a big communications array if we are going to bug practically everything and everyone the Supporter comes in contact with.

Fenris decided to do two things.  Start a diagnostics check on his arm, making sure all systems were operational.  The second thing he did was to start a recording, the recording itself wasn't too difficult, he combined two previous recordings, wind and bushes moving.  He decided it'd be a good distraction if they need one.

A few hours before the briefing, Rakysh had gone to see the quartermaster about his armour. He knew from experience not to bother his squad CO about it, but he knew that he should make sure that everything was in order. Finding his way to the quartermaster’s office was not too hard- he was finally getting the hang of the way imperial bases were set out. However, once he was there, life became more difficult. The large lance corporal squeezed behind the desk had sneered when asked about armour, and mumbled something about being closed. Rakysh growled a few words, which made the lance corporal flinch visibly. The wookiee laughed as the corporal, as his translator relayed his question.

“Master Rakysh would like to know if the customised armour he had asked for is ready.”

The human seemed to steel himself.

“L-l-look,” he gasped. “You can’t come barging in here, ordering me about. Anyway, we’re closed.”

Rakysh frowned. “Why?” asked his droid.

“Ummm… Lunch break! Yes, lunch break.”

“Its 1000 hours. And if it’s lunch, where’s yours?”

The fat corporal’s pudgy hand disappeared underneath the desk, reappearing with a large, greasy sandwich.

“Here. So you can just clear off!”

Rakysh knew that the man was just being petty, and that he should rise above it, but the warrior inside every member of his race was raging to get out. The wookiee stood poised for a moment, fighting an inward struggle to not pull this man’s arms off. Eventually he turned and walked away, ignoring the muttered comments behind him.

Half an hour later, Rakysh returned. This time the fat man got one of his underlings to get the armour. He returned carrying a pile of standard imperial armour, which was five and a half feet tall and patently would not fit the wookiee. When he tried to point this out, the assistant had reached for his stunner and gabbled something about one size fits all.

Returning for a third time, (how had something so simple taken so long?) Rakysh decided enough was enough. He picked up the now ruined armour that he had tried to get into, and dumped it all on the desk. It was obvious that it was many times too small. However, instead of contritely taking the armour back, the quarter master stood up and started laying into the wookiee!

"Tell me how you're going to pay for that uniform recruit, they don't just grow on trees, let alone how much the Empire hates losing credits. I'm half tempted to call my superior and have him come down and give you the brig right now,"

Rakysh was completely taken aback- how was being tall a crime? Yet here he was being threatened with imprisonment just because he was a few feet above average. Just as he was about to give the quartermaster a piece of his mind a cold, clear voice cut through the quarter masters words like a shard of glass.

"For what, your own stupidity? As I see it it's your own fault for not realizing that not everyone is human and trying to fit everyone into the standard size armour so you can use the extra budget to get a new droid or whatever the hell you spend that money on."

The lance corporal was initially stunned into silence, but soon rallied with a retort. "You can't just burst in here. You have no right!"

"Oh, I most certainly do. Private First Class Rakysh, I'm Sergeant Namyr'Olgkru Lythune, just call me Sarge or Nams it's easier. I believe I've been assigned to make sure fucks like this don't try to take advantage for recruits for their own mistake. I think I'll take it from here, and do this again I will write a report on you and bring all your slimy little habits to light to your superior.” She turned to the assistant, eyes blazing. “Private, get this Raider proper armour, make sure he's measures, fitted, and for damn sakes make sure they're new last thing we need is him being taken down by Ewoks due to faulty armour."

Rakysh was taken through to the back and measured up for the armour. He made sure that the comlink would have full translating abilities, and that everything else was in order. The attendant finished writing things down on his data slate.

“That’s great; we’ll have that for you in 3 days. 4 at the most.”

Rakysh turned and nodded. He needed to get to the briefing.

The mission brief was unlike anything he had ever experienced. From what he gathered from the elder members of the squad, it wasn’t a particularly special mission. However, Rakysh still felt as though he had achieved something disproportionate to what he had actually done. He was now a stormtrooper, one of millions, but he still felt special. Maybe it was because it was the culmination of everything he had worked for over the past few years. Regardless, Rakysh listened with a great deal of attention, and committed to memory most of the details.

“I would, with all the new faces around I think we should get to know one another better. I booked one of the Zone courts so we can play a quick game or two before the mission, since there’s only nine of us instead of the required twelve one of us is gonna be rotating in order to keep the teams fair. You guys in?”

Rakysh was surprised by the invitation to play, but thought it was a good idea. Going straight into a mission without any idea of what his squad mates were like would not be conducive to success. However, Rakysh had never played before, although he got the general idea. He just hoped that controlling the hover-boots was easier than it looked.

It wasn’t. As soon as he had put them on, Rakysh knew that he was going to have some troubles. Slipping and sliding out on to the court and trying to adjust his undersized helmet, the wookiee waited for the game to begin.

Rogueboy kicked off the wall and slammed into Namyr knocking the ball out of her hands as the two collided into a nearby wall. Rogue grinned as he gave her a quick peck before using the wall to jump back into the game. Quickly pushing past the spinning walking carpet Rogue grabbed the ball and headed towards the opposing teams goal, winding up to send the ball home, a weight crashed into Rogue’s shoulder and propelling him halfway across the room. Darr quickly grabbed the ball and headed towards the net. Zorgn attempted to hit Darr but the SL narrowly avoided getting hit. Throwing the ball through the net Darr scored the winning goal.

The squad headed towards the locker rooms animatedly talking about the game. “Did you see the hit I laid on Rakysh?” An excited Zorgn asked. A few troopers nodded and added their own comments.

Grabbing his towel Rogueboy headed towards the showers. The showerheads were aligned on a wall so that the troopers would stand next to each other with very little privacy. When he first signed up Rogueboy had a problem with this concept, as a boy always having a private shower, and as a teen not showering at all it was intimidating to him, however he adapted to it quickly and did not think twice about it anymore. There was the occasional trooper who would wait for all the other guys to leave before taking his shower or simply going home to take it. The pitter-patter of feet on ceramic alerted Rogue that another person entered the shower, probably one of the new recruits. A slap on the ass made Rogueboy turn around fast; his arms coming up to defend himself.

One of the new recruits was standing there perhaps an eighth of a meter from Rogue, he was tall with golden brown hair. “Good game.” He said before slowly walking to one of the other showers.

The ASL quickly finished his shower and left, as he stepped out of the shower room wrapping his towel around him. Darr noticing the puzzled look on his face asked. “What’s up?”

Deciding what to tell Darr he figured hell he would let the squad leader find out for himself, shaking his head and muttering. “Nothing.” He heard the SL walk into the showers and a resounding slap echoed off the walls.

The rest of the day the squad members had to themselves to do what they will, everyone that is except Darr and Rogueboy who had requisition forms to fill out and a mission to successfully plan.

“This is what we’re going to do; we’re going to break the squad up into pairs, a veteran with a new recruit. We’re going to detail three pairs to watch over Barada and to follow the people he talks to or does anything else interesting with. I want picture ID of each person he interacts with and I want their names, folders, and anything interesting that might come up. When it comes to bugging the house I want the entire squad in on it. If we can come up with a solid alibi it will save us from having to sneak in and risk being caught, additionally if we do get caught I want to make it look like a failed burglary instead of what it really is.” Darr said as he detailed to Rogueboy about the plans.

“What about a chance for inside help? Perhaps a disgruntled butler or some poodoo.” Rogueboy asked as he was cleaning under his fingernails with his vibroknife. Most people would find that an intimidating posture but for Darr it was a common occurrence as men try to groom themselves as best they can out in the field.

“I was thinking about that but if we have the wrong people trying to do it then this operation could become a huge failure.” Darr said non-committal.

“Let me do it, I’ll grab Zorgyn or something definitely not Muglug he’s overly friendly.” Rogue said.

“Yeah I met him in the shower.” Darr said.

    Rogueboy laughed.

Fenris got up from his work, and decided to go and see what his other squad mates were doing.  He figured they'd be in the locker rooms, and he really had to go use the refresher.

Fenris made it into one of the locker rooms, not seeing any guys, but he did hear a shower going.  He decided to use the bathroom, and get ready to take a shower as well.

Fenris stripped down with a towel around his waist as he looked up, and saw Nam, a gorgeous red skinned Twi'Lek naked, taking a shower.

Don't say anything, she won't notice you, just walk out, get dressed in the Mens Locker Room

Despite kind of wanting to leave, Fenris could not look away.  She really was beautiful, something Fenris didn't notice until right about now.

Fenris's foot slipped and Nam turned to face him.  Fenris was shocked, not as shocked as Nam was.  Fenris's eyes dropped, looking at Nam from what he could see, which was below the chest up.

"I must have made a mistake...and I'm not wearing any clothes..." said Fenris.

He was embarassed, but just smiled.  Hopefully, Nams wouldn't flip out.

Zorgn's team had lost the game. He figured he wouldn't do too well, but he'd hoped his team would pull through. He'd learned a lot by the end of the game. How to use the boots, the environment, and players to his advantage. The game seemed more about speed than power, and for this Zorgn was glad. The wookiee would have beaten him badly if it came down to power, but in reflexes Zorgn thought he had the edge. Still, it wasn't enough to win...

Zorgn headed back for his rooms and tried to avoid some of the busier halls. He was drenched in sweat and looked stupid in the sportswear. He was renting a three room apartment on base and while it was a little cramped, it had it's own shower and bathroom. Zorgn absolutely hated sharing his showers with the aliens, and spending most of his pay on his apartment was a small sacrifice if it kept the others at arm's length. He respected his squad members, but by no means liked any of them yet.

Fenris was the only one he could actually relate to at the moment. He was in the same class at the academy, and was human, so Zorgn didn't feel the need to be so distant to him. If he turned out alright, he might be a good friend. The others he knew nothing about. He knew he didn't want to cross the Twi-lek. She looked like she'd tear him in half if he stepped out of line. Why did he have no luck with Twi-leks? They all looked like they'd stab him if they got the chance.

Once Zorgn was clean, he dressed in his all-black street clothes and began a check of his weapons and gear. He'd be prepared when the time came to go.

Water splashed, and ran down Namyr's smooth skin, already her muscles were rebelling, tightening and aching. Either Zone-ball was a game that used muscles that she didn't normally train or she was getting out of shape. She let out a content sigh, she had been focusing more on her melee training since Rogueboy had become her training partner again, though he was still out of practice and she had to take it easy on him. Squirting some soap out onto her loofah, Namyr began to clean the sweat of the game off her skin. Her team had won, she had even managed a few scores, barely slipping past the other team. She let out a low chuckle as she heard the door of the locker room open and close. It could be only one person, due to having the court booked and the time, she hadn't seen any females around. It had to be Rogueboy who liked to prove his naughtiness by sneaking into the girl's locker room to share the warm water with her.

Still chuckling slightly she turned to scold Rogueboy for entering female only territory only to freeze, wide eyed at one of the new recruits stood wide eyed looking at her in all her naked glory. She watched in mock horror and in slight amusement as he tried not to look her up and down but finally his wavering eyes looked up down, up again, the rest down in an attempt to keep from looking at her.

"I must have made a mistake...and I'm not wearing any clothes..." his voice squeaked looking up at Namyr again trying to smile.

Namyr relaxed a little, obviously this guy was in the bathroom by accident, but then again this gave an opportunity to screw with his head a little bit. Then again his shaking hands had just let go of the towel, exposing Fenris to all his glory as his towel landed in a heap on the wet shower floor. Namyr blinked a few times, narrowed her eyes looking Fenris up and down, obviously he had enjoy looking at her. Picking up her shower bag, she casually walked past Fenris, almost brushing against him as she passed, "Not too impressive," she murmured to him as she walked past and into the main locker room to get dressed.

"Showers all yours," she added as she dried off, got dressed and headed out of the locker room, only to be grabbed around the waist and spun around, again, "Hey, Alew'eswo," she chuckled.

"Well word from Darr is that he wants to pair a rookie with a veteran," Rogueboy spoke letting Namyr to her feet and they began walking.

"Why do I have a feeling that you want to rub who I got in my face?" Namyr sighed rolling her eyes and pouting.

"Well depends on how you feel about Fenris."

"Well actually," Namyr spoke her eyes glittering a little, "The little bugger walked in while I was in the shower. Given his surprised look I think it was pure accident, but nothing like giving him something to be paranoid about," Namyr said as her and Rogueboy turned and glared at Fenris who walked out of the locker room. Seeing their looks he scurried back inside, "Yeah that should be just fine as a pairing," she said smiling and turning down the left hallway.

"Hey where are you going?" Rogueboy asked.

"We're about to go on a mission Rogue, I'm going to pray to the Goddess."

"Since when have you started that?"

"Since, I've had something to want to protect," she said cryptically and disappeared around the corner. Heading for the Chapel floor, she went into the small sanctuary they had build for the Twi'leks, Sitting down, cross legged on the floor Namyr began to meditate speaking to her goddess for good fortune and safety on the mission.

Fenris hurried to his room.  He had just seen Nam naked in the locker room, and needed yet another shower...this time freezing cold.

As he got out of his shower, he dried off, and went to look for Rogueboy.  He found him doing paperwork.

"Rogue, I'm kind of bored.  What needs to be done around here?" asked Fenris.  Still a little embarassed about what happened, Fenris managed to give a small smile to Rogueboy, hoping he would laugh about it a little.

Rakysh decided to head straight back to his barracks after the match. Although none of his squad mates had said so, it was plainly his fault that his team and lost, and the wookiee’s competitive streak wouldn’t let him forget it. Even though the game was supposed to be a fun way of getting to know each other, Rakysh still took the loss hard. Trying to put it out of his mind, he went to get an early night before the mission ahead.

On the way to his quarters, Rakysh ran into the Lethan twi’lek who had helped him out earlier at the quartermasters. Through the translator, he thanked her.

“Oh, it’s nothing. Anything to take the support staff down a peg or two. They think that they’re better than us, even though they’ve never risked they’re lives for what they believe in.”

There was a slightly uncomfortable half-minute long silence, which was eventually broke by Nams.

“Unlucky back there on the court. G-ball isn’t for everyone.”

    Rakysh agreed, and replied

“Thanks again. Anyway, I’ll see you tomorrow.”

Feeling slightly better, Rakysh continued on to the dormitories. He slept like a log after the days exertions, but woke up early, too excited about the upcoming mission. He knew that trying to sleep was pointless, so decided instead to read up on the mission. Apparently another squad on a similar assignment had seen the politician meet with their target, a known terrorist. As that squad was already overstretched, Raider squad had been assigned to follow him. They had been put into pairs and one three, each taking a six hour shift. Rakysh had been put with Darr-Rann, his squad CO, and they had the first shift. The wookiee received a message telling him to meet in the briefing room, with weapons but not armour.

Carrying his bowcaster, Rakysh entered the round briefing room. Darr was there already, apparently unarmed.

“Greetings Private. As you know, we are going to be tailing Barada Vashim. We’re not going to be trying to catch him yet, just see what his routine was. You’re one of the only wookiees on the planet, and very recognisable, so you can’t be seen to be following him. You’ll be driving a speeder in case he gets in a vehicle, while I follow him on foot. Make sure you keep in touch with me on the comms”

    “Yes sir!”

The blonde human smiled. “Good. Find an unmarked speeder from the garage and let’s get going.

It was still early when they arrived at the senator’s house. It was incredibly plush, with several floors and many windows, which unfortunately were blocked by silk curtains. Rakysh was on one end of the street, with Darr at the other, loitering below a streetlight. About an hour into the mission, nothing had happened, and Rakysh had just decided that stormtrooper work wasn’t all it was cracked up to be, when he caught Darr’s voice on his comm.

“The suspect is coming my way on foot. Loop around so that you’re a block away at all times. Make sure he doesn’t see you. If he realises he’s being followed by me, your going to have to take over.”

His heart thumping in his chest, Rakysh did as he was ordered. He did not envy Darr- this early in the political district, there were very few people around and Darr had to ensure that he wasn’t seen at all.

About an hour had past, and the suspect had passed into the commercial district. Even this early (or late) there were still advertising boards glaring into the dawn skies. Shop windows showed anything and everything you could want to buy, although almost none were open. Rakysh kept his distance as the progressed into the seedier end, where rubbish still littered the streets. Every now and then the comlink crackled with movement updates.

“Feck, I think he’s seen me. He keeps looking into windows, and crossing the street twice. I’m not stupid enough to follow him, but he suspects something. Ah, great, he’s getting into a taxi. Ok, end of the highstreet, move! I’m going back to base as he’s knows what I look like- you make sure you don’t loose sight of him.”

Rakysh flicked the accelerator, and the speeder crept forward. He could see the taxi now, and as it zoomed off into the rising sun, Rakysh knew he was going to have to stay close. He was new to these streets, and the taxi driver had obviously grown up in them. They twisted and turned, though didn’t seem to be going in any particular direction. Rakysh once lost him, only to see him turning back the opposite direction. The wookiee realised that senator thought he might still be being followed, and slowed down a little. Luckily, by now the morning rush hour had started, and it was much easier to stay anonymous.

At last, after many twists and turns, the taxi stopped- right were he had started! Darr had returned to base, so Rakysh was on his own. He pulled up in the speeder parking lot, and sat back to see what would happen. Unfortunately there wasn’t that much to see- the senator paid the driver, then disappeared into a shop- and stayed there. Rakysh waited for an hour and a half, slowly growing more and more cramped, before he got a message that the senator had been sighted back at his house, and that his shift was over. Rakysh sighed, more than slightly perplexed about how the man had got back to his house, but returned back to the barracks all the same. He filed his report into the mission log, and headed back to his room for some serious thought.

It was Fireman and Rogueboy’s turn to stalk the target in an hour; Rogueboy snuck out of bed careful to not disturb Namyr. She was probably awake anyways but Rogue didn’t feel like disturbing her, heading into the bathroom Rogueboy started his shower. When he was done he went to the kitchen and made breakfast and two cups of caf in his preferred style; commando. Quickly gulping down the steaming liquid he went into the bedroom and tossed some non-descript clothes on, giving Namyr a kiss on the forehead Rogue left the house.

Arriving at Barada’s house Rogueboy changed the guard with Darr and Rakysh, giving the female Twi’lek, Firemane the vehicle which was a different one than Rakysh had used. Firemane was nothing like Namyr; sure both of them were red which was a rarity among the Twi’leks, however where Namyr could be happy and sweet, as well as sad and cruel, Firemane was not. She was a robot; cold, calculating, and dedicated to the task at hand. This was a common trait amongst most new recruits, it’s a shell that they create in order to protect themselves against hazing and whatnot that the older recruits throw at them. Usually they break out of this shell the first time they are hit with a blaster bolt and need to rely on someone to save their scrawny asses. Speaking of asses as Firemane got into the vehicle Rogue could not resist giving her rear end the once over, not that he had any scruples with it Rogue still preferred Namyr’s.

Back to the job at hand; a speeder Limo was pulling into the gated mansion as Rogueboy pretended not to notice however he carefully marked the speeder plate for later background search. Knowing that he was going to need a splicer to hack into the company’s database to be able to see who ordered the limo. Rogue sighed, splicers were expensive if you didn’t have one that owed you a favour or two, and most of them were lonely and desperate so taking them out and getting a hooker or two for them can earn you a favour in their mind.

Four more hours of this, Rogueboy thought to himself as the limo was getting prepped to leave the mansion. Using his comlink Rogue contacted Firemane. “The limo is leaving; I want you to follow it in case Barada took it.” Rogueboy said as the limo hovered by; its tinted windows denying Rogue the visual access required to make an accurate facial identification. Note to self: find out if they make some form of goggles that could see through tinted windows. He thought to himself as he pretended to keep an aloof manner in the streets.

This sucks, Rogue thought to himself as he had another hour to go before the next shift comes in, turned out that Barada was not inside the limo. Instead the Klatooinian was still inside his mansion. They would need to infiltrate the house and find a way to bug his living space. Currently Darr was trying to request a holo-intercepter which would allow them to watch any holographs that were incoming without Barada or the caller being alerted. Unfortunately it was a fairly big device and needed to be near the general location. This would require a hover truck that would require a lot of papers to be filled out.

Sithspawn...Which idiot let this noob through basic training? was a thought that kept running through Dante's head as he sat at a stained table, waiting for his turn to patrol. His partner, a young recruit named Lucas Mulgorth, seemed a little...overenthusiastic, chattering non-stop about what he did outside the Corps while he cleaned his weapon. Dante had seen such people before, and they had the lifespans of wampas on Mustafar, and were about as likable.

Dante had repeatedly reminded himslef that the trooper was new, he didn't know what he was doing, and that he wasn't worth the effort and trouble it would take to knock him out for an hour or two with a well placed jab. Eventually, he had lost it and shouted at the new trooper to go away, which he did. Now, looking back, he regreted his action, as he would probably have to rely on the man in the weeks and missions to come.

A single red energy bolt and they're dead. Their expressions distort into a questioning, blank stare and they fall to the ground like a sack filled with supplies. I've seen it all before.

Dante had first bumped into the man in the shower after the game and had been slightly unnerved by his smile. Something about Lucas just didn't seem right, and the way he kept on bouncing up and down was slightly unnerving.

In a way, Dante was surprised that the Empire was using such recruits. He had known that, statistic-wise, the number of capable recruits had dried up. Even before Endor, fewer and fewer people had been going into the Corps, both because of moral problems and the abysmally low pay. A security guard for a private company could expect to earn at least two-thousand credits a year, almost twice that of a private, and the packages often included room and board. Compared with the starvation rations that were standard fare for troopers and the durasteel bunks, it was clear which job was more profitable.

To make the problem even worse, private contractors were actively trying to lure away seasoned veterans, paying huge sums of cash and even resorting to outright kidnapping in one sensational case. To add insult to injury, the VE often was forced to hire such high-priced guns to mantain control in certain sectors. The difference showed in that the contractors were not under VE law, and effectively had a liscense to kill.

Although the defense of order and the protection of the Empire was at least an order of magnitude more important than being a hired thug for some obese official, sentients had a distinct tendency to disregard morals in favor of credits.

Those who fire blasters shouldn't bemoan war, Dante. Can you say what you're doing is any better?

Yes, I can. By doing this, I'm defending order and preventing terrorists from attacking the defenseless citizens of Tadeth.

Do you believe that? As likely as not, you're simply being used as a political pawn. The assignment of the Raiders is intended to act as a reward for some obese, paranoid foxtrot who's toed the party line.

His eyes closed, Dante shook his head only to hear the clink of plastoid on glass as he knocked a pair of drinks over and their contents spilled onto the floor tiles.

    "Damn..."

It's going to be a long night...

Hey Everyone Sorry I haven't been as active as i could have been in the past few days. Work/school have been playing hell with my schedual and i haven't hada whole lot of time to myself. I will try and pick up a little bit. Hope you all understand

Vidalla had hoped to be able to spend more time with some of her fellow Academy squadmates. Rakysh and her had hit it off pretty good after the impromptu training he had given her. Maybe she could get some downtime and take her new and old squadmates out on a game trail or something. She yawned around her fist as Rogueboy muttered through her comlink, passing the time running thoughts over in her head.

You know as long as he's muttering he could take it upon himself to try and converse with you. You ARE supposed to be squadmates and all. Sheesh it's like he doesn't even know you exist. Stupid greenhorn status.

“The limo is leaving; I want you to follow it in case Barada took it.”

Vidalla had already spotted it and was enroute to tail it. She sighed lightly enough that her comlink didn't pick it up. She shook her head and slowed her speed a little, thinking.

It's almost like they think none of us can tie our own SHOES without some help. I hope they are just trying to be helpful.

She quickly moved in to her tail position, following the limo three speeder lengths behind. The limo had tinted windows so she couldn't give an accurate visual confirmation on the identity of the alien inside. However after tailing the limo for sometime Vidalla realized that the person inside wasn't the Klatooinian. Relaying this information to Rogueboy she heard another heavy sigh. Vidalla smilled in spite of herself and drifted off into thought again.

Well at least I know one of the vets feels the same way i do about stakeouts. . .

Vidalla drove around aimlessly for 10 minutes to make sure no pursuers could follow her back to the mansion, then quietly parked in a different spot from where she was last time. She went back to canvasing the mansion. Suddenly her attention snapped onto a suspicious person. She grabbed her comlink from the seat beside her and whispered into it.

"Rogueboy don't give any sign that you can hear this. I have eyes on a character who may be shadowing you. He's 10 feet behind you, wearing civvies but something...seems off. I can't quite make out his face and he keeps looking at you when your not looking."

Vidalla leaned in closer and peered through her googles at the figure. It was about 6 feet tall, athletic looking and was doing a damn good job of mingling with the crowd. Her lekku moved nervously as she continued to stare at him. Suddenly the figure put one hand under his belt and started to move through the crowd. Vidalla grabbed her comlink hastily.

"Rogue, he's moving towards you. He has one hand under his shirt and I can't see what he's holding. I'm moving in towards you."

Vidalla calmly got out of the car, her heart and lekku belying her nerves. She slowly started walking towards Rogue, readying her vibroblades she had hidden on her arms as she walked. She kept her walk steady as she neared the two even though her legs screamed at her to run.

Fenris had just finished getting ready.  He was wearing his black clothing so he wouldn't be notice, and had the standard issue pistol and vibrobayonet.

Fenris waited outside the house, using the stealth of night to stay hidden.  His comlink buzzed.

"Fenris, be careful, we don't have a speeder, and reports say that no one is going to be entering or leaving the house." said Nams.

Fenris and Zorgn had been told to try and get a bug on the house, or at least check to make sure they had no electronic dampening device.  Each one of them had 5 bugs, enough to bug the mansion properly from the outside.

Fenris had a bad feeling.  He wasn't sure if something was going to happen to another team, or if it was the Mess Hall food he had eaten previously.

"Mansion in sight...security systems seem to be on.  Lights are on, and I have a clear shot at Barada and his wife enjoying dinner.  I might be able to get close enough to bug the front door...that way we might be able to hear something, even if it is faint." whispered Fenris into the Comlink.

The security system installed wasn't too high tech, all it would take was a good slicer to take the system down.  If the job was infiltration, Fenris would have already done it, sadly the mission was intel gathering, so silence was key.

"We can't waste the bugs...and it's too much of a risk to have you get detected." reported Nams.

    Ahh how sweet

"You work out?" joked Fenris into the comlink, trying to lighten the mood.

The compound was almost completely deserted, with most of the troopers still on leave after the fiasco on Yuka. Many were off-planet while others were floating in bacta in medical facility as insectoid medical droids tended to their wounds. The Yuka fiasco had been one of the most costly battles in the history of the VE Stormtrooper Corps, with fifty percent of some squads KIA, and almost all wounded.

Yush, Sylix, Marka, the Wraiths...we lost too many good people on that mission. The question is, will they ever try to make us do such an op again?

In Dante's opinion, the mission had been bungled at the highest levels. The idiots in charge had sent six squads where an army would have been needed, failed to use orbital strikes after recon had pinpointed the location of enemy installations, and had sent down too little armour, too late. Despite the actions of individual members of the High Command such as General Fury, who had singlehandedly taken out a half-dozen groups of enemies, the leadership as a whole had failed to plan and had used sub-standard equipment for the assault.

Giving us sleighs with light mounted blasters as vehicles.
What a sick joke. An AT-ST could easily have taken the whole armada down with little or no damage. In retrospect, it's a good thing we didn't really use them in combat. The enemy vehicle we hijacked could have greased up in seconds if it had been used against us.

As a result of the numerous errors, one of the sleek Lambda class shuttles sent down to retrieve the troopers had been filled with body-bags stacked on each other like plywood, and a pair of temperature controlled rooms on the VE Impstar in orbit had been filled with cadavers wearing blackened plastoid. In a way, the KIA Wraiths and Dragoons were luckier than the Raiders. Dante's hand clenched as he remembered walking away from the steaming mound of armour that had been the mortal remains of a Raider. He tried to focus on the success of the mission, but his mind continued to return to the images of those KIA on that, and other, missions.

Stop it. You can achieve nothing by torturing yourself.

His eyes staring into space and his head resting on the stained and scratched wooden mess hall table, Dante stared at the ceiling until his vision blurred and he finally drifted off.

"Rogue, he's moving towards you. He has one hand under his shirt and I can't see what he's holding. I'm moving in towards you.” Vidala said.

The Raider’s assistant squad leader hesitated for an instant before deciding his course of action; he would not engage the man in the middle of the street in front of the target. “Firemane, pull off. I’ll handle this womp rat.” Rogue said as he calmly started walking west away from the approaching man, however Rogueboy made sure not to look at the man.

Leading the man on a slow chase Rogueboy winded through the city passing through allies and whatnot, at first attempting to lose the man then finally giving up on that attempt. “Firemane, there’s an alleyway on the corner of Kadann and Saint-Victor, there’s the back exit of a restaurant there. I want you to hide in the dumpster and as I come around stun my follower. Do not kill him, I got some questions for him.”

“Roger that.” The female Twi’lek said.

Knowing that it would take her at least fifteen minutes in order to get in position Rogue decided to dick around his wannabe murderer and waste some time, passing through a park Rogue was able to see Firemane’s speeder pass him by as she went to get into position.

The alley was dark, exactly how Rogue wanted it to be and he slowly walked through it. The spook no longer took care to hide himself as he knew that Rogue knew that he was being tailed and so caution was scattered to the wind like so many ashes. Passing by the dumpster Rogue was unable to see Fireman anywhere, perhaps she ran into some trouble. He thought, however he followed along with the game plan, as the follower came into the alley there was a flash from behind and he crumpled to the ground.

Stepping out of the dumpster Firemane looked pissed. “You asshole, do you have any idea how bad it smelled in there? What kind of a restaurant is this?” The red Twi’lek said as she attempted to clean herself.

“It’s a Huttese joint, which means they’ll cook anything they find. Gimme a hand gonna put this guy in the trunk and go for a spin. Reach Darr and tell him of our situation.”

    damn editing...

This was a bad idea. Zorgn knew that someone was going to have to bug the house, but he figured it was going to have the support of the full squad, without someone to kill the security system, who knew what would happen.

The new shadow suit the squad was using was very wierd. It was... distubing. Zorgn was used to wearing armor, being so exposed made him nervous. He was dead if someone took a shot at him.

Zorgn had taken the another side of the housefrom Fenris, and he was alone. Outside it was dark, slightly windy, and very quiet. He watched every footfall he made to keep from making undue noise. If soeone were to exit the house and notice him, all was lost. He had a small vibroblade on his hip, with several throwing knives in a wrist holster. If worst came to worst, he'd have to kill a house resident, and he would do his best to be ready for that eventuality. The E-11/F on his back was for if all hell broke loose.

Zorgn ignored the chatter of the rest of the squad. He triggeed his Hush-98 comlink and spoke to the squad."Alright, I'm finished checking my side of the house. I'm going up to the roof for a look around. Maybe there's a skylight, or door, or something to use. Sure we can't enter? Even with these fancy bugs, we won't get much from the outside." Zorgn hoped that with the proper distraction, they could get in, bug the house, and be gone before anybody noticed. He could throw a grenade right outside the compound if needed.

No. Too risky. Maybe if we could get a rancor, a cargo airspeeder, and several tons of plasteel sporks... Nah.

    Zorgn went to climbing.

The roofs were clear, Rogueboy was able to see it from the scope on the sniper rifle. Truth be told he had absolutely no idea why he was assigned sniper duty while the squad was bugging the house. He understood it was important that someone watch the house from the outside in case someone decided to step out for a cigarette or something. What he did not understand why it had to be him, he was just as good at acting stealthy as the rest of the squad. Well there was that one time when they were supposed to be stealthy that the barrel of Rogue’s gun stuck out from around the corner, almost got the squad killed.

Sighing Rogue went to the task at hand and continued to scan the compound, their goals were to not kill anyone and if they were spotted to run and hope that the owners would think that it was an attempted robbery. The man that Firemane and Rogue had bagged in the afternoon turned out to be a dead lead, he was a member of the SPD (Sianat Police Department) and was called in to look at a suspicious loiterer. Upon running the man’s identification code, and badge number; Darr had quickly discerned that the man was indeed telling the truth. So they had opted that the STC hold the officer in the brig for the duration of the mission as a safety net.

The electronic surveillance should be “malfunctioning” soon; Darr had to edit a software program in order to bypass the anti-slicer programs, and to make sure that anyone watching the holocams would not notice anything out of place. The program would show the viewer a previous footage that it had taken before, thus the watcher is none the wiser. Rogue saw Zorgn begin climbing the house before a cry of outrage erupted on the comlink; Rakysh begun speaking in rapid Shyriiwook. The wookie’s translator quickly filled in the gaps in Rogue’s mind. “It would make more sense if I were to climb the house, I’m a much better climber than any of you humans.”

Darr had to concede the point; in training Rakysh was the first one up the ropes, hies species was bred to dwell in trees and that is exactly what Rakysh did best. So walking carpets did have a use other than cleaning shoes. Rogue mused to himself.

The house that Rogue was currently on had an odd design; the slanting roofs offered very bad footing. It was a millionaire’s house and was extremely easy to rappel up because of an old fashioned chimney. The exterior security was minimal and the roof paneling was thick and blocked out all sound.

Now it was just time to wait and see what happens once the squad gets inside the building. .

"Fenris as much as I love your flirting, this isn't the time for it," Namyr murmured darkly keeping watch from the small rug was sitting one and a business she had set up for, 'telling fortunes,' it was the perfect cover to keep an eye on the the house.  Wearing loose, gypsy-like clothing she was able to easily cover up all her weapons and though most of the customers were easily dealt with by giving them semi-happy fortunes, she wanted to be in there with the action.

“It would make more sense if I were to climb the house, I’m a much better climber than any of you humans," Rakysh's voice echoed in Namyr's ear and she grinned, seemed she wasn't the only one that felt like she was being underused for this mission.  Even if Darr had taken her aside to explain that two Lethan Twi'leks seen on the same day would rouse suspicion, that Firemane needed this experience being a new recruit, and she was paired with Rogueboy.  Namyr let out a sigh looking out from under her face and head coverings, she still felt underused.

Maybe she would have been in a better mood if Fenris hadn't shown up three hours before watch at the apartment, though he had breakfast, she could have really used those extra hours of sleep.  She couldn't help feeling semi-wanting from the young solider, which sent shivers up her spine.  She doubted that he knew anything about her, but the fact she was Twi'lek she was an item of awe and wonderment.  She would have thought the hours of melee training of her kicking the crap out of him would have stopped that type of behavior a while ago.  Some men we're so pigheaded.

"See anything Nams?" Rogueboy's voice echoed in her ear, speaking of which.

"Nothing, no movement, oh shit," Namyr spoke her eyes turning wide, "Fuck, you guys need to get going, looks like this guy is having a party or something five cars filled with about......ten people, nicely dressed.  You guys have to get those bugs set and get the hell out of there!"

Dante groaned as he felt something sharp poke him in the ribs, then in the gut.

    What in Chaos...

He opened his eyes and saw the trooper "Muglug" he had shouted at earlier standing over him, an idiotic grin on his face as he prodded at Dante again with the butt of his E-11. Even through the plastoid, Dante felt the metal and decided that the trooper had overdone it. Lucas  froze in mid-laugh as Dante raised his head and stared at him with murder in his eyes.

"What the hell do you think you were doing?"

The trooper started to back away, mumbling, as Dante got to his feet.

    "Uh...waking you up?"

The plaintive note in his voice did not escape Dante, but he chose to ignore it.

"Really? I had no idea you had to disembowel someone to wake them up."

It was at that point that Muglug made his biggest mistake; mumbling something about "just having a little fun", followed by some insults.

Attacking me was bad enough...but this too. I don't give a damn if you're a Raider, that's going too far.

Dante took two steps forward and grabbed the scruff of Lucas's shirt with his right hand. Ignoring the man's protests, he slammed him into the wall fairly hard and spoke through gritted teeth.

"First, if you're going to wake someone up, don't make them feel as though their guts have been ripped out."

He pressed a little harder, ignoring the trooper's grunt of pain.

"Second, don't make up excuses that a blind Gungan could see through."

A spiderweb of cracks appeared on the duraplast coating of the mess hall wall.

"Third, don't insult someone, especially not if you've pissed them off already."

He let go and the trooper fell to the floor gasping for breath.

    "Understood?"

There was no response, and Dante felt a sudden urge to apologize.

Chaos, I'll probably be trusting this guy with my life in a few hours. Not only that, he is a Raider...No. I can't. Whatever I do wrong, I can't admit a mistake, show weakness, not to a recruit on his first day.

Forcing himself to ignore Lucas and the guilt he felt over his treatment of the trooper, he turned and walked from the room, feeling uneasy.

His helmet com-link buzzed and he activated it. Darr's voice, sounding slightly tinny, came through and Dante listened.

Going into the Krath hound's den to bug the place? Could be worse, although I'd rather give it a face lift with a ton of explosive. Oh well, we don't pick the assignments, we just execute them.

Leaving the compound, Dante headed into the barracks to change into something a bit less noticeable than the ivory-white stormtrooper armour.

On the bright side, this one shouldn't be too hard...

The Tadeth air felt cool on Dante's face, gently trying to tug off the black mask he wore. Along with the rest of the squad, he was clad in a night-black shadowsuit and was also wearing a pair of night vision goggles. The electronic device ran on a tiny power cell and could run for two hours without stopping. The viewscreen dyed the night into shades of green, which made it possible to see the surroundings but made seperating threats from the background harder.

    Nothing like a challenge...

Although the mission was supposed to be a blue milk run, with the house's security systems compromised and spotters in the area. Dante had learned the hard way that such rosy predictions had a nasty habit of ending up FUBAR. As a result, he had decided to hedge his bets and wear an armour-weave vest underneath the suit, just in case there was a firefight. Although the lightweight vest couldn't completely block a direct blaster bolt and was far inferior to stormtrooper armour, it could dissapate enough of the energy to make the wound survivable.

For this mission, Dante had raided the armoury, which was fully stocked as most of the squads were still on leave. As a result, he had more than enough choices, which was a welcome change from the undignified scrabbling he usually had to endure.

He had walked through the aisles and eventually decided to use a DC-19 blaster carbine. The Clone-Wars era weapon was the weapon of choice for the Republic's shadow troopers and more than made up for its small clip with its various settings and its portability.

The perfect weapon for a stealth mission, although if I have to use it we're in deed poodoo.

He had also brought along a vibro-knuckler, in case close range combat became needed. Now the trooper was in the middle of the group of camouflaged Raiders slowly making their way into the complex. They had gone down a hallway, having successfully placed well hidden bugs  in four out of the six targets. Darr took one of the two remaining bugs from a belt pouch and used a waterproof adhesive to place it in a hollow the SL had made in a vase using a combat knife. A few dabs of quick-drying brown paint later, the listening device was in place and ready to be activated. Each of the gadgets had several miniaturized recharging power  cells and could effectively run forever without any further interference.

The squad had put three rooms between themselves and the bugged hallway when Dante's headset crackled and Rogueboys voice came across, grim and quiet.

"Raiders, you have company. At least five fancy speeders just pulled to a stop outside and ten civvies are coming in. Suggest you get out ASAP."

    Stang.

Listining intently to his earpiece he picked up a message about 5 speeders outside and the last words 'get out' he quickly sent a message back.
"wont it look a bit awkward, all of us leaving at the same time, they'll suspect something." still Lucas moved to the nearest exit obeying direct commands from a supperior.

As he moved to the door he made eye contact with many members of his squad but all staid in perfect character even Dante who Lucas knew despised him. He moved through the hall as five men all nicely dressed stepped through the door.

    Darr replied, his voice calm.

"Understood. Inform me of any other developments."

There was a click as the Squad Leader closed the channel and he gestured to the squad. They were a few meters away from a door when they heard footsteps and voices coming closer. Thinking quickly, Dante pulled a door open and ducked inside, followed by the rest of the squad. They found themselves in a opulent room(will expand)

Lucas followed Dante in following the rest of the squad. the voices where still getting closer and the squad moved even further in trying to find somewhere they wouldn't be noticed.

The room grew and grew, it seemed bigger than the actual house itself, he heard the door open and voices where allot more clear, He quickly ducked into the shadows like most members trying to find a good spot under the cover of shadow, it was a small hole where the room opened up completely engulfed in shadow.

He looked around and noticed he could only spot 5 squad members, the voices where now impossible not to hear and 5 men dressed well stepped into the room.

He looked around and noticed he could only spot 5 squad members, the voices where now impossible not to hear and 5 men dressed well stepped into the room.

Each member stood completely still except the men in the center of the room, they moved closer and Lucas got a good look at them, only one human the rest aliens, 2 male Twi'leks and they other three he couldn't identify.
