Weight-loss program

A guy calls a company and orders their 5-day, 10 lb. weight loss program. The next day, there's a knock on the door and there stands before him a voluptuous, athletic, 19 year old babe with a sign around her neck.
She introduces herself as a representative of the weight loss company. The sign reads, 'If you can catch me, I'm yours.'
Without a second thought, he takes off after her. A few miles later huffing and puffing, he finally gives up. The same girl shows up for the next four days and the same thing happens. On the fifth day, he weighs himself and is delighted to find he has lost 10 lbs. as promised.
He calls the company and orders their 5-day/20 pound program. The next day there's a knock at the door and there stands the most stunning, beautiful, sexy woman he has ever seen in his life. She is wearing a skimpy running outfit, running shoes and a sign around her neck that reads, 'If you catch me, I'm yours.'
Well, he's out the door after her like a shot. This girl is in excellent shape and he does his best, but no such luck. So for the next four days, the same routine happens with him gradually getting in better and better shape.
Much to his delight on the fifth day when he weighs himself, he discovers that he has lost another 20 lbs. as promised. He decides to go for broke and calls the company to order the 7-day/50 pound program
'Are you sure?' asks the representative on the phone. 'This is our most rigorous program.'
'Absolutely,' he replies, 'I haven't felt this good in years.'
The next day there's a knock at the door; and when he opens it he finds a huge muscular guy standing there wearing nothing but pink running shoes and a sign around his neck that reads, 'If I catch you, you're mine.'
He lost 63 pounds that week.

That's an interesting story. Wish it could really work though.

I liked that a lot!
If anyone ever creates this kind of weight loss company, can I interview the women?

Same here, need to lose the weight but don't have enough energy to do grueling exercises to accomplish my goal.

Best way I've found is to go out to the edge of town and find a trail, and pack a backpack with a couple of granola bars and a canteen of water... If it's the summer, throw in a book as well. And just start walking.
I've found with a simple two hour excursion out to the back country a week, you start dropping quite a bit of weight fast... the second thing it will do is help alot with energy... most people don't really realize how much we loose when we stay inside. I'm a programmer/Customer Service Rep, so most of my time is either behind a computer at a desk, or behind a computer at home. Plus, you'd be ammazed at how peaceful it is out there.
The last thing you'll find is that all in all, you feel happier. Before I started hiking, I was in a bit of a brutal relationship... one of the side effects was a major depresion. It's amazing how much can be improved by just taking a step back and breathing...
As well, I think I should explain the resoning for the snack... When you're out and hiking, you'd be amazed at how much processing the body does... one of the simple ways I've found to get that process going is by regimenting a small snack... for example, half-way there, munch on part of the bar, and finish it when you've reached the point where you think you should turn back... then, just eat the second one on the way back... it keeps the body processing, and that little bit of fuel will help it start burning the bodies internal resorces.
The last thing I should warn you about is how tired you will bacome... I know after my first excursion, I fell asleep on the couch for a good four hours... my roomate freaked out, because that was something that I had never done before... and I guarantee, that will be one of the most restful sleeps you will have in a while...
Again, this works for me. Try it and see if it works... in the end, you need to find what works for you...

That does sound like a good idea, but i can't be left alone for two hours until someone gets worried about me being alone outside, and my other problem is ypu can't do much hiking around my house.

I find that good running sports, such as Soccer and Lacrosse, help you stay in shape. I've been playing soccer for the upside of 12 years now, switching between defence and mid-field, and I'll tell you I've got buns of steel. What most people don't realise though is how out of shape they are, despite what they look like. I run in the mornings, usually two or three miles. Once I brought a friend along, and he couldn't keep up for half of a mile, despite his decently looking physique. Regular exercise, even on a small scale, helps.

I'm in the process of getting in shape. I've been running three times a week with the sprinters of the high school track team. I am in fact a shot put thrower. But I have been lucky enough not to run outside for a couple of weeks. First time I ran outside I slipped on ice..Not fun. anyway. I'm babbling now
