Who do you think you'd tolerate best?
Although I am Republican, I'm leaning towards Obama. Clinton can hand me my toilet paper.

Obama. The thing America needs right now is a distraction. Having the first non-caucasian president will be the best thing for this country. Oh, and he's pretty damn good as a politician, too. Clinton's only running so Bill can operate from behind the scenes.

I'm leaning pretty strong for Obama. I've seen him and Edwards come speak in Vegas in recent months. So far I liked what he's had to say and I like the energy he brings. To date, he's been more for ideas than just against someone else.
Edwards is the same way. He cares but I'm not sure he can translate that into anything.
And Clinton annoys me but not in the Republican "No woman has a right to tell me what to do" way. She's just too smug, like she deserves the job by virtue of her name. Hell, isn't that why Bush Junior is such an asshat? Why have more of that?
As for the idea that Obama's election would be a "distraction", I'm not so sure of that. It cheapens what he wants to do. But what better image could we project to the rest of the world other than electing the same old "just-don't-get-it" rich dude like we've doing? I mean, we got lucky with Clinton, eseentially a redneck who knew there were other countries outside our borders. But that's the exception, not the norm.
And don't even start me on the GOP candidates who just want to seemingly threaten people or alternately scare them. You don't want to hear it.

I don't think, (and that is half the problem), that any of the candidates are really qualified. They are all just puppets surrounded by individual support systems.
"Do you have a solution for crime in the USA?" it has been asked. "Yes," is their answer. and then they go on and on about bullshit they don't even know what they are talking about. They all have the same answer for Education and health care. Everyone of them is full of shit, and you won't get a straight answer from a single one of them.
Yeah, maybe Obama, is the most straight forward of them all, but, do you really think America is ready to elect a Black man. The answer is no, and call me politically incorrect if you want to, but, it is not me. It is eveyone else who is afraid of change.
Personally, I would put Osama and Clinton as Vice on the same ticket, but, they have F'd that up too, arguing to be president. Imagine it tho. A Black man as president and a woman as Vice. That would be incredible in the good ole US of A.
Anyways, my opinions don't matter. It's up to the general public, and that's ashame, because they don't vote.

Quite frankly, I couldn't care less if we have a black man or a woman president...I don't see how it should even be a factor. In any case, I would like to see Giuliani as President, I think he would do the best job. I don't really think he has a chance of winning though, so failing that, I'll probably be voting for Obama...I don't especially like him, but he's the least of all evils with an actual chance of winning.

The idea of an honorable fight is a joke. What is honorable about harming another human? To win a fight, you have to forget about honor, forget yourself, and lose yourself in a cold burning fire. You have to strike until your target stops moving, smile as they bleed, and kill what soon will be no more then a red pulp a thousand times in your heart before you commit to violence.

Well I don't live in the US so have no idea who is running or what their policies are, etc and I don't really care. All I do care about is that the next President is not a warmongerer who will point at countries and make up fabricated lies like "they've got weapons of mass destruction, kill them, kill them all" and then later on say ""well they didn't have any weapons after all but we did good anyways".

In all fairness it has been found that there were in fact WMDs in Iraq. There have been testimonies saying they were moved out of the country before the UN Inspectors arrived.
In the eyes of many, Bush is a warmongor, but I think that's unfair. He's a very simple, silly little man who won presidency on a fluke and jsut doesn't quite seem to grasp the responsibility that comes with the decisions he makes. Misguided, stupid... yes. Warmongor? That's giving him too much credit.

Wow, you guys really need to learn more about our President before you talk crap about him.
Point 1: he is not a warmonger, as far as anyone can tell he thought Iraq had WMDs. Ive even read a report on FoxNews.com that came straight from the House Intelligence Committee saying that over 500 chemical weapons, mainly consisting of Sarin and Mustard gas had been found in Iraq. I dont usually take Fox's word on something, but I HIGHLY doubt that they would manufacture such a document.
Point 2: Bush is a very intelligent man. None of you would have a clue since you haven't run a country. Think about all the decisions that have to be made, the entirety of the position is just overwhelming. My brother worked at the EOB for 6 months for Rove's Deputy. The general consensus is that Bush is one of the smartest Presidents when it comes to issues on energy. It makes sense seeing as how he dealt with oil for much of his life.
Bush is a great public speaker when in a comfortable environment. He stumbles in public. So, what, he's an idiot because he's not a great public speaker?
Anyways...
I'm voting Giuliani. He is fairly liberal on social issues and conservative on economic issues. About as close to a Libertarian as one can get except for Ron Paul, but Paul is WAY too hard-line. He's the closest this country can get to a free society.
Screw Universal Health Care, welfare and all that crap. Obama Im sure is a great guy, but this country isnt about the government helping everyone out. Its about people having the freedom to help themselves.

Gotta agree with that. Coming from a lower-middle class blue collar family, if it wasn't for Canada's health care system, we would have been screwed over in medical bills when my mom had to spend something like 4 weeks in hospital, then 3 years of cancer treatment, then 6 months in hospital. If you're rich, then absolutely you'd think 'they should have to pay for it all themselves', but if you're coming from the lower end of the spectrum you realize that sometimes having things covered by the government is one helluva good thing.
I can't really comment on the presidential candidates because for the most part, I don't know anything about them. I know Obama is coloued and Clinton is female. I'm Canadian, my opinion wouldn't matter regardless, because I can't vote there anyways. And I believe the topic is about the presidential candidates, not how Bush screwed up.

If I was in the US I would be supporting Obama. He is intelligent, charismatic, and a sensible, progressive, politician.
On the subject of universal health care, the US would greatly benefit from such a system. On one level, it will help the lower-class and the middle-class with their very high healthcare bills. On another level, it will really help the competitiveness of the US economy. Now some of you might think I am out of my mind when I say this. However, health insurance programmes cost US companies billions per year and nearly ruined the Ford Motor Company. By not having to provide complete medical insurance to attract employees, or to prevent unionized ones from striking, US companies will be more competitive, can lower prices, can spend more on innovation and productivity enhancement, and will have more competitive exports which would help to lower the enormous US trade deficit. These plans would be replaced by much cheaper plans to cover prescription drug costs or perhaps eye or dental plans.
