Awe, excuse him, he has an uncontrollable bowel syndrome...  *Cringes*  He'll never be the same.

But anywho- this is the message I usually give to new recruits and I hope it'll include everything you need to know for right now:

Howdy there- I'm the training officer (TO) of the Vast Empire Naval Academy (VENA). Our staff, the VENA-S, is composed of trainers and operators, all who can be seen at the following website:

http://www.vastempire.com/wiki/index.php?title=VENA_Staff

Now that you've posted here on the ComNet, you've actually completed the Imperial Initiation (II) phase of Basic Training (BT). BT's second phase is called Flight School (FS), which is made up of two chapters and an exam. The first chapter, and probably the most important aspect of our system, is that of Character Creation- the bio. In order for your character to exist in our club, our universe if you will, you need to create them in written form, detailing their stories, their personalities and the physical aspects that we may be aware of with a glance or perhaps things we can not see with the naked eye. Either way, you're going to tell us how to describe you're character in a more detailed fashion than you're probably used to, but that's part of the fun.

So, if you'll follow the link below, you'll be able to see the entirety of Flight School, the portion of BT I was referring to above. BT is, essentially, training and thus, once you've passed through it, you're going to be placed in an Active Squadron, in 'Active Duty'. So, depending on how well you do here against the recruits currently training here, you'll receive a rank at the end of your training and receive certain recommendations or promotions. You'll want to go to Chapter 1- Character Development. So, lets get off to a good start and get you goin- Rock On!

My suggestion would be to put your bio in a format similer to what Evil_Clown has in her second post in this topic: http://comnet.imperialnetwork.com/topic/7971/

It makes it easier to read and understand, plus it looks a bit cleaner.

Welcome to the Navy

Greetings I am Cyleaf Aehait Operator LVL 2 for the Academy. It's my job to guide you along through the Academy here and even with some tests later on. Now the bio, Trevor is correct you have a paragrah of information which is a great start.

What we typically use for a bio is somewhat in the format of this:

Name:
Age:
Race:
Sex:
Height:
Weight:

Physical Description: Scars, hair, eyes.

Personality: What you are like mentally, have at least one flaw as it makes for some fun writting.

History: The meet and potatoes of what your life was like before joining the Vast Empire's Navy.

If you have any questions feel free to post here in this thread or message me. This is where all your academy work will go except for tests. Those can be messaged or e-mailed to Shazam.

Name:Jossum Graay
Age:21
Race:Human
Sex:Male
Height:5'8"
Weight:190lbs

Physical Description:

I have a scar on my right wrist from when i was a young boy its about 2 inches long and went all the way too the bone. Allow me to illaberate. Me thinking i was so strong i tried to lift a Ion Thruster,(part of the TIE engine) and it sliced me like a hot knife in butter it was bad but it cauterized it so it didn't bleed.

Im more on the muscular side having done physical work all my life.My brown hair is cut short and always in proper order to fit into the Emperial dress code.I have light brown eyes, that tend to change to green when my blood is pumping.

Personality:

I seem like a jerk when I meet people at first, but as time goes on people tend to warm up to me.I have a really passive spirit and not to many things bother me.But that doesn't mean when the big guy in the room needs to be put in his place that i wont do it.

I'm a natural pilot and born aviator at least i think so.My Quick reflexes and smarts in and out of the cockpit keep me on the edge.Although i am only 21 i hold avast knowledge of all fighters there systems and maneuverability.I hear that my flaw is I tend to think that because i know so much, that I'm the best and that makes me a little arrogant to danger, so i usually get my self into sticky situations. I depend alot on my friends to help me in my personal life, Friends are important to me, and i put my life on the line for any of them.

History:

I was born to Avalio and Donor Grray on the industrial planet of Balmorra. I started building weapons components for the chin mounted laser cannon on the AT-AT when i was 10, while every other 10 year old was welding slabs of armor to the hulls that made the kids make fun of me cause I was the smartest 10 year old in the factory.

Later I moved positions to Starfighter weapons development because i excelled in making AT-AT weapons, and helped invent the SFS Laser Cannon on the TIE/LN Starfighter,(that is the standard Emperial Starfighter)it went strait on the fighter after a short test period i think it was like 2 days. I also helped develop the idea for ejection seats on the TIE fighter, though really no one uses them really,But they are on there.

I had done all of this by the time i was 15. When i was 16 my father who had worked in the plant his whole life fell from a building platform and was killed, that was the point in my life when i decided to switch to the platform and follow my fathers footsteps.I began Building TIE fighters at 17,it came natural to me and I seemed to know where everything went without being shown.Later on that year i became Lead Platform Enginier and was in charge of making sure every TIE was perfect and in ready to fly/fighting order. I never lost a pilot to malfunction, and that inspired me to want to fly.

Saving my money i bought a small Starfighter and began to study basic flight maneuvers, which i mastered rather quickly. Not being able to go far out of the Balmorran space I quickly became uninterested in Fighter building and joined the Emperial Navy to see the universe and fly much faster in a ship that i have loved since i was a young boy.

Alright- I'm happy you expanded so greatly on your story and formatted so that it was readable.  Some comments and things to work over:

1.  We have a policy on using famous characters from the SW universe as characters of our own.  While you haven't done that, you've said that your character helped create the main fighter in the Imperial Navy: that's just not realistic at all.  While someone of your character's age could have been involved, not only is the age accurate, because that fighter was introduced some time ago, but it means your character has a chief influence in the creation of said fighter.  In order for that to have happened he would have been a part of the engineering team at Sienar Fleet Systems which was made up of, most likely, the best of the best.  I'm sorry, but that is too big for you to be   Such interference on the SW universe as a whole has to be controlled and I'm going turn that down.

2.  Imperial, not empirial.

3.  I like your idea about working for so long in a plant that produces VE materials, but I think you should talk a bit more about home life or other things that affected you or your personality before the introduction of aerial technology.  Obviously that had an incredible effect, but if you're going to stick with this- get some key events in your life that you can flash back to during dull stories   This is about makin your character interesting basically.  I might bring up that you had to work at such a young age- what would provoke you to do such a thing?  Did you have to?  You also speak about friends- did your character have any that he had to leave behind or that had to do something other than work in these factories?

And finally- run your bio through a word processor for spelling and re-read it a couple of times to make sure you didn't make any grammatical errors   Thas about all I have to say until you update it once more.  I think we're making progress!  Keep rockin, man.
