Hey, everyone that might care I'm in the middle of a Star Trek marathon on TVLAND. I just finished watching the funniest episode "the trouble with tribbles". It was hillarious. When Scotty tells the captain he started the fight but not because the Klingons called Capt. Kirk names but because they called the Enterprise a garbage skull, I couldn't stop laughing and I've seen it a hundred times.

I gotta go it's back on. Anyone else watching? And any funny thoughts or trivia?

Well in this episode they are on the Gangster planet. Has anyone ever played fizzbin? I'm jumping between here and the T.V. on commercials. It's really funny watching this old techno.

To imagine all the work they went through. Props, and to see the Enterprise orbiting around a planet. You can see the black matte. But, that is what makes it cool.

Anyway, waiting for input.Live long and be cool.

Okay. It's commercial again. Alright, I know it's not Star Wars it's Star Trek but come on, some of you must like both. Here's a question for those that like both. Captain Kirk, Capt. Pickard or Capt. Janeway? Whose your favorite? Gotta go again.

And so Bones accidentally lost his communicator on the Ganster Iotian Planet. And Spock replies that the communicator is the basis for all their technology and that as smart as the Iotians are, and Kirk cuts in say "Well within in a few years the Iotians may want a piece of our action." Come on does nobody like Star Trek. It's not taboo here, is it?

Am I talking to myself? I think so. Maybe everyone's busy watching Star Trek like me I tell myself.

It might be that no one is watching. It could also be that no one really does care about Star Trek here.

Wow that was harsh. Then why even reply. That would be the kind thing to do.Just don't reply if you don't care. It's commercial again so I have time to watch for messages from those that might care.

It wasn't harsh at all. He was giving two viable reasons for people not posting.

If you want to hear something harsh: This is a complete spam topic.

Spam, yes. You could simulate this by putting yourself in mIRC and joining an empty room.  Start blabbing on about StarTrek and voila.  I dont like Star Trek too much.  I find it boring.

Hey, I'll try that. I just recently downloaded Mirc and haven't even tried it yet or the Java chat. I thank you all for your advise but if I have trouble with chat will someone help me.

I'm fairly new to here and my Kaph squadron is really cool, but they don't always have time to answer my questions right away.

Sorry to bug.

Well, since you have so much free time, post.  You're in my flight for kaph so that means if we're going to be scored for having 4 people, 4 people should be active.  Story post on pHeonix.

I'm one of the few, I guess, that actually like both StarWars and StarTrek. The first few episodes of Enterprise were good, but it was downhill after that. I loved the Next Generation series, and I've seen (literally) every single episode of StarTrek: Voyager. Love that series.

Theme song rocks.

I'm with Cosmic here.  I like both.  I was never much of TOS, as William Shatner gets on my nerves.  My favorite series is DS9, especially the later episodes with the Dominion war.

Snipes, good post there.

Alright, I'm ready to be nice.

I like the original series the best, especially Wrath of Khan.

Then there's the Next generation, which is pretty good, liked most of it's movies (except generations, wasn't a fan of that one.)

Voyager is. . .meh, Janeway was a bint.

DS9 was. . .ick.

Enterprise had a couple good episodes, brother was in love with it.

I have to say though, Futurama is better than all of them. :P

Voyager was good because of Jeri Ryan and Richard Picardo.

I have to say that as well as loving Star Wars, I am a big fan of Star Trek  (why is everyone pointing blaster pistols at me right now, chill peeps!!)

Loved the original series, you have to love the chemistry between Kirk, Spock and McCoy.  Met up with Walter Koenig (Chekov), nice guy.

Loved all the classis movies apart from the first one which I thought kinda dragged a bit.

Next Gen, loved it, met Gates Mcfadden (Dr Crusher) she is a babe!  Also met Jonathan Frakes (Riker) and LeVar Burton (LaForge).

Loved the Next Gen movies apart from Insurrection.

DS9, my all time fav, mega love this series.  For the post on Trouble with tribbles, did you see the DS9 follow on "Trials and Tribbleations", outstanding!.  Who did I meet from this series, just Avery Brooks (Sisko)

Voyager - not too bad, not the greatest in the Star Trek franchise but watchable.  Sadly, never met anyone from the series despite craving to see Jeri Ryan (who doesn't?)

Enterprise - started off well, series 3 was a bit of a crapper with the whole Xindi storyline but they finished off strongly in season 4 with a lot of 2 and 3 part storylines.

So I have to say it, I am a trekkie (or is it trekker these days?)

Will I get demoted for saying that, probably but what they hey.

Go Star Trek and Go Star Wars !!

I agree with Snipes that Futurama is better than all of them.  By the way, has anyone played KOTOR and dealt with the "Trouble with Gizka" sidequest?

trouble with gizka was based on trouble with tribbles. And who says Star Trek is bad. DS9 kills All.

Well Garet,

Not to toot my own horn, but, it seems a few more people care about both Star Trek AND Star Wars, than you thought. You just happened to be the first one to pick up on my post. My bad luck I guess?

Sorry man, I have read alot of your posts and your profile and you are very accomplished. I have to ask however, why are you so negative?

Anyways, Yoder you are right. Star Trek did come first and some times I think without a Star Trek there wouldn't have been a Star Wars. For that I am greatful.

To think of all the technology that has happened between now and then. I just like watching the older stuff to see the difference between them. It's like the difference between the original Star wars movies and the last ones. IT'S HUGE. The same with watching Star Trek. It's huge between the original, the movies then the next generation DS9 and Voyager. Plus Cosmic  Watching TNG movies at the theater was all great. And yes Nemesis was the best.
