THE IDEA

As far as members go, the RSS currently has one member, and that;s me. I am mainly posting this to see who else would be interested in the idea of this. It's not an official squad thing, but it's for RAIDERS members only. It may eventually expand to the rest of the Wildcard Platoon, but I don't know just yet. So for right now, who else in RAIDERS would like to join? If you want to, just say so. But make sure you have your Swoop profile and everything.

Purpose
Hrm. The purpose was hard to come up with. The main thing is, this whole thing is just for fun. It doesn't help out with the Squad Missions in any way. It could, but it won't. I'm thinking that the RSS just be something on the side for RAIDERS to do in the mean time, while we are working on a story or something. Pure fun. Nothing else.

Purposes
- Spread the name of the RSS and became a renowned Swoop racing Team.
- Take breaks from the normalities of every day ARMY life and have some fun.
- There is a possibly of small 'missions'. But they will be nothing serious. Unofficial missions, mainly used for training and C/D

STORY IDEAS

'Accelerate Life'
Yeah. I've come up with a story idea, already. Here are the main points that I came up with. Hopefully you guys like them.

Main Points
- The team is formed and decides to go on their first trip to a week long Swoop Competition.
- The team searches for a contact that they can establish so that they are able to get discount Swoop parts for good prices. IE. An underground supplier.


So yeah. That's my idea guys. I'm hoping that you want to get involved. I'm sure it'll be fun.

Woa, woa hold on... =P

I'm currently in the middle of reconstructing the actual Swoop Racing format, lol... we're not even at the stage where swoop gangs are plausable.

I love the ideas, and they are good ones; but before any of that takes place... I have to finish reworking the system: then I have to submit it to Rizzit and Cosmic... then we test it out... then we modify it.  It's a massive project and is going to take a while to work out.

ONCE all that is done... then yeah, I see no problem having a squad based swoop gang.

Alright. So it appears we now have the following troopers playing along with the RSS idea:

- Havock
- Karash
- Rogueboy
- Grahim
- Raelene

Ron said that he doesn't want to join up just yet due to his long 'to-do' list. But that's alright.

I'll go ahead and get up the first story post tonight at some point. So look for the story on the Story Net.

Also, for some clarification: This RSS thing is only for FUN. It will not count as any real missions. It will not be the racing thing that Ron is putting together for IRC. It will not be a competition run against ourselves. It is for STORY use, and fur FUN. These stories will be helping us out with our C/D a LOT.

So again, this is not anything OFFICIAL for the squad. Also, the RSS is for RAIDERS members only. Hence why RSS stands for 'RAIDERS Swoop Squad'. If you want, we can establish a different name, but for right now, RSS is what we go by.

Alright. Some sad news guys... Because I was so busy tonight with AP Exam Studying... I wasn't able to get up the beginning of the first RSS story. I'll try and have it up tomorrow. BUT! I did do my post on the Praexus story. So go ahead and check that out. It might suck, but hey... I'm tired. And I tried. So shoosh. xD

Raelene, you can just get briefed on the mission. Since we have 3 days, in-story time, until the squad moves out again. So post something with your character familiarizing herself with the happenings of the mission. Or something of the sort.

Did anyone like, you know, run this by me and Arn before sending it right up to Rizz and Cos and apparently starting straight away? I'm personally concerned that this might drain activity away from your 'real' squad duties, but I'll speak to you guys more about it when I can.

In the meantime, there is a chain of command for a reason.

I thought the same thing at first too, Kand.  But it was more like... how come my squad is doing something I wasn't addressed about?

But as Star just said (and as far as I gave permission for) the RSS is just a glorified personal story in the StoryNet.  And as long as that's all it is, then I don't see a problem with it.

Star: the reason WHY people like me and kand are asking these kinds of questions is because of the way you drew it up.  Key words including: "it's for RAIDERS members" and "expand to the rest of the Wildcard Platoon" shoot up red flags cause we're the ones who moderate things, me at the squad level, him at the platoon level.  It just appeared to be more than it actually is.

The only other problem that may come out of this, as Kand said, is the fact that it is a distraction from normal squad duties.  Have fun, but don't forget to post on the squad story and to report; that's the last thing we need before the platoon competitions!

Ron's quite right, what you actually said and what you apparently meant were two different things entirely. My running it by us point was focused on the idea you had already discussed it with Rizzit and Cosmic. If you have deemed it necessary for it to reach them, it should have passed through us first.

But yes, as long as it doesn't interfere with your squad leader's work, I have no problem with it.

Guys... My mIRC puked... So I dunno if I'm going to be able to be on there today. I also have to clean my room, for I might be going to see Julie again today, and I won't be back until later afternoon tomorrow.
