GuildWars Trial - Short but Sweet

You can play a trial version of GuildWars for 10 hours. No, it doesn't seem like much, but it's more than enough to get hooked. Read the following from ATI's website:
"Your free trial commences when you first enter your activation code and ends 10 hours over 14 calendar days thereafter. After this time, you can use your credit card or alternate payment options to purchase a full copy of Guild Wars."
You can purchase at numerous retail stores. I've found the following two:
Wal-Mart - $39.82
Best Buy - $49.99
There are other stores such as GameStop that you can purchase it from, but I didn't see a price on their website. Anyway, you can get your free trial HERE. Note that you must have a decent graphics card and the minimum system specifications:

Intel Pentium III 800 MHz or equivalent
256 MB RAM
CD-ROM Drive
2 GB Available HDD Space
ATI Radeon 8500 or GeForce 3 or 4 MX Series Video Card with 32MB of VRAM ( I have a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200, and it works wonderfully)

Be warned though within those ten hours you are likely to get over half way to the maximum level possible in the game.
Good graphics and definately a game I will give my respect, especially for being free to play unlike other similar games.
Just be warned that if you are not a hard core PvPer this game will get boring very fast. The flip side of that is if you do not like the PvP templates they have pre-set for you it may be a bit of maddening trudge through thier RP side to unlock the various skills/spells/what have you.
A worthwhile game overall if you can keep the above in mind and can handle it.
I got bored with it because I am not a hard core PvPer and the absurdly low maximum level and how fast you can reach it and since I am not a hard core PvPer there really wasn't any point to me trudging my way through the RP side of it to unlock a bunch of stuff I really wasn't going to use anyway. -----------------------

I only recently got into the PvP side of things. I beat the game over the summer, and it took me 2 months at 7-8 hours a day. That is approximately 500 hours total to beat the game (for me).
Now, I beat all the co-op missions, did all of the quests, etc. If you just want to go straight to the end without bonuses, etc., then I can see the game being beaten in about a couple weeks, depending on how often and how long you play.
The good thing about this game is that there are multiple classes and many class-combination. Every class is extremely different from the other, giving the user a variety of choices, oppertunities, and strategies. -----------------------

you have to buy the game and its expansion packs, you just dont pay a monthly fee. -----------------------

Okay, its pretty obvious, just type in the information where they ask you to, like for instance at the register, you enter your email adress in the email adress box thingie.
Fill your city in where they ask you in which city you live.,
and in the password box you fill in what you want as password.
When doen with all the register, just click on the link submit.
On the next page they will tell you they are sending the activation code within 24 hours, and there is a link you use to download the guildwars setup.
Just make sure you fullfill the computer requirements for playing the game, helps alot if your grahpics card can't surport it.

becuase this way you dont have to STEAL it to play it without paying atleast a one time fee; even if it is only for ten hours. -----------------------

OK, I'm still a little slow with this...
So instead of just buying the game for and playing for free, you'd buy a trial and play for ten hours and then buy the game? That sounds a little ridiculous to me. Especially when I can get Guild Wars for $30. -----------------------

You didn't read anywhere where you need to "buy" the free trial... hence the title "FREE trial". You get 10 FREE hours to play the game to try it out and see if you like it.
You BUY the game at a retail store such as GameSpot, Wal-Mart, Target, etc. After you buy the game, you DO NOT need to pay an online subscription in order to play online.
Also, there are NO expansion packs out yet. Now, there is talk of an expansion, but that won't be out for a long time. The closest thing to an expansion pack that came out would be Sorrow's Furnace, and that added more missions, quests, and items. Sorrow's Furnace is free, and, just like all periodic updates, is downloaded to your computer when you load the game. -----------------------
