This is going to be a post for a debate, the topic is Gamming Issues Today

These are going to be basic rules. (mostly so that no one get's into trouble)

1) No Profanity (i don't care what point your trying to prove, watch your language)
2) You may have pictures to show your point but no obsene material.
3) Each post must be at least 20 words100 Words .
4) Don't have your post only bashing people or companies.

In today's time, gamming has reached it is highest number of player's ever. Many of these gammer's are children under the age of 18, and while games like Katamari Damacy put you into a strange but fun many other games like Grand Thieft Auto San Andreas have pushed the rating system to the limit, with problems with the Hot Coffee mod, many have said that it is time to take the rating system and make games with Sexual Content, Violence, Drug Reference, Blood, and Gore, to the rating of "A" or "Adults Only". Some also want to change it do that there is not "M" or Mature, and make all games that are now "M" into "A". In conclusion, gamming has come along was since this argument started in 1992, we need to permanently make a final rating system that cannot be changed.

I agree with Angel. All these parents worry about their kids seeing this stuff (in the case of Grand Theft Auto), but if they stopped to think for a moment (which no one does) they'd realize that a mod DOES NOT come with the game. If you buy the game and DON'T download the mod, there will be none of that content. Yes, the game will still have the explicit violence and whatnot that makes the game rating as high as it is: but it's not going to reveal the stuff that the mod would. Plus, if kids can't understand the difference between that and real life, don't buy them the bloody game. -----------------------

yeah, and plus its just a game... thats why its called a game, its not real, like a movie which can be more violent and plus the only people who go around shooting people would have shot poeple if they played the game or not. Its their character, not the game that does it. Parents just look for a scapegoat for everything, and of course the most obvious things would be elctronics, TV, computers, games, etc. hmph.. -----------------------

If people actually LOOKED AT THE DAMN RATING!
...we wouldn't have this problem.
I remember reading about a story where a mother of a 14 yr old was sueing Rock-Star for the 'sexual content' that can only be accessed by a internet download.
It says on the package that it may contain sexual/suggestive themes, my god, there's strippers in it.
Its just another way for someone to cash in on an idiotic subject, then try to change the entire system...aye. -----------------------

Basically it comes down to two things that really irritate the hell out of me.
1. Raise your damn children! Too many "parents" forget that conception doesn't end their contribution to the children's lives. Don't blame society or MTV or teachers or a lack of "moral values" or whatever nonsence the not-my-problem crowd is selling. IT'S YOU! IT'S YOUR FAULT IF YOUR KID IS ANTI-SOCIAL P.O.S.
2. Quit telling me how to live. The same people who can't stop Jimmy from taking the un-secured gun and blowing away his kindergarten class are the same A-holes who want to censor movies, burn books, and basically make entertainment a sin. Once again, take care of your own household instead of blaming Hollywood for screwing up your's. -----------------------

If you have the games im going to list play them and you'll see,
Halo: Combat Evolved ; PC & X-Box ; Rated "M" (Mature); rated for Blood and Gore, Violence; Online Play.
Star Wars: Republic Commando ; PC & X-Box ; Rated "T" (Mature); rated for Blood and Gore, Violence; Online Play.
Now play the games and ask yourself:
1) Which has More, Blood and Gore?
2) Which is More, Violence?
the answers are:

Common wisdom fails in the face of uncommon idiocy.
Fury's basicly got it right in a nutshell but it is true that the ESRB rating system and even the MPAA rating systems are inherently flawed.
America has become a society that basicly rewards idiocy.
