Your goals are simple enough.  You long, no you lust for POWER!  Towards that end you will flatter, seduce, corrupt any who come your way.  The aim is simple enough--to bend everyone and everything to your will, in imitation of your own Dark Master.  There is no higher goal, no grand plan of what to do with the world once you get it.  And you certainly believe everyone else is pretty much like you, hungry for power.  Of course, they are fools and don't understand how to get it...

Many are your names the pathetic creatures of the Earth have given you.  Corruption.  Fangthane.  Satansheart Soulcrusher.  As if even one of these tiny-minded creatures had what they call a "hope" of understanding what you know--how petty and pointless is all existence, all life, all hope, all deceits with which they cram their lives.  Deceits like love, friendship, kindness, morality.  Such stupidity makes you want to vomit, but mostly it makes you long to show them the Truth.

Although none knew it for a very long time, you were in secret a disciple of power and cruelty all the time you pretended to be the great stateman and reformer.  And you were good at your job.  Of course you were!  How better to spring the trap and transform a weak Republic into your own personal instrument of power.  Hatred, sadism, even fear is but a means to an end--one you happen to enjoy immensely.

Its all really very simple.  You're going to take over the world.  More, you're going to do it in your own style.  That means, among other things, that elaborate plots are a must, along with huge piles of cash extorted from the world's governments, and of course you'll do all this from a genuinely impressive secret headquarters.  Inside a volcano is good.  So is a submarine, or even a moonbase.  Meanwhile, your underlings are there to do what they're told, amuse you, or simply die.  Sometimes they do both when they die in an amusing way, but too often they botch even that.  Well, better luck next time.  Its not like you're going away anytime soon.

Before the corruption that was Light, you existed in the perfect shadows of that time before time.  Now you must hide from that vile infection, but you will infect it yourself over time.  Your influence grows through dreams, through temptation and sometimes through direct action.  But you will never surrender in the struggle against this vile thing that has tainted what was pure--Light and all that comes of it.

Who are you, really?  As if there was any advantage in telling.  Pick a story, any story.  Odds are it'll be true enough.  True enough for your purposes.  You are content to have your wealth, your power, and to be what insures both--a Name.  Criminals whisper it, laughing but half-believing what they say.  The police haven't a clue, partially because you killed everyone who might be a clue.  For yours is a will unbound by vanity, by scruple, by anything at all save natural law.  For now.  And no one knows your face.
