Boys and girls, ladies and gents, children of all ages: the journey begins tomorrow.  You'll need a duffel bag, preferably some deodorant, ration packs (processed food is the only way to go these days), probably some synth flesh, some spare bacta and bottle of sundrop.  Anything else will be too heavy- choose your personal items wisely.  In the meantime, pray the wilderness won't take you whilst your commanders are away.

If he does rejoin and gets assigned to us, man that would be something. Put me, him, Rusty, and Arturus in one flight and it really would be old home week again. Aka Nazgul Squadron in late 2001/early 2002.

New Nazgul Squadron Policy on Story Post Length

For the Navy it is commonly assumed that 250 words is the minimum. We're going to increase this to 500 words for all Nazgul Pilots. Of course, you are more than welcome to set a minimum goal for yourself, but posts of less than 500 words will not be counted in totals. Posts do not stack, meaning you cannot combine the word counts of two seperate posts to equal one post. It isn't that hard to hit 500 words. If your having trouble: Trevor, Rogue, Gshlecc (Driver) and I (Jegora) are available most of the time and are willing to answer any questions you may have.

There has been some concern raised to me about the current status of the squadron stories. Remember people, whatever competition has started from these regular time stories, it is not an official competition. If you want healthy competitive writing for pride in your squadron, then by all means, go for it. But it is not an official competition, don't go overboard with your "rivalries"

Folks- not bad for a first week   Jeg spoke with me earlier today, though, about moving on from our current line of CD posts.  Initially, I told you folks to hold off on getting to the simulator just because it so limits your ability to make plot, but I think we may be ready with something, so if anyone has any other ideas about what they'd like to try, idea wise (something that might be interesting to try, or something you'd just like to do while you're in the simulator)- throw it on up here and make us aware.  I, for instance, think that I'm going to have Shazam under a halucinigenic episode while he flies as Nazgul 1.  However, instead of flying absolutely awfully, he will fly remarkably.  Not because the drugs have enhanced his abilities; quite the opposite in fact.  He will become incredibly lucky...  Something Shazam does not believe in, lol.  Never the less, he'll pull some rather ridiculous stunts, but only because he's so out of it that he doesn't know what he's pushing or pulling.  But, like I said, he'll look like he's doing everything on purpose.

Also, keep in mind that some of the enemy pilots have been programmed to follow the flying style of your commanders: one enemy pilot will fly like Rogue and another like Trevor.  Perhaps you could use this?  What are some other ideas?

Oh, and I won't be here for the meeting tomorrow, but I might be able to get in a post tomorrow evening; keep rockin, folks.

The 500 minimum isn't anything new, I knew that Willtconq had it for awhile. At some point he dropped it to 250, though.

Personally i think 1000 is asking a bit much, especially from newer people. I don't always hit 1000 with my own posts, but i'm always above 500...

That's not a criticism btw, it's your squadron after all Just throwing in my 2 cents.

Trevor's 1k limit is his personal limit. He doesn't like to put up posts smaller than that.

But he did have the squadron go by that one of Navy wide competitions I know. But again, that was a while ago, and there were a lot of experienced writers in that group.

Thoughts and ideas, anyone?

I'd say let's run a couple of 'em.  That way we can get ourselves, especially some of the newer folks (your characters might be a bit overconfidant) killed off.  That'll create competition between some of the characters and, perhaps, make for some interesting CD- maybe some of us aren't as good as we thought?  Or perhaps it's easier to get killed than they initially figured?  And I'll drop the Shazam is drugged out of his mind bit, lol- I think we'll keep him sane for this one, with the occasional defect.
