Am I the only who is puzzled as to why the Meeting Sunday topic was locked. From what I can see, its a rather harmless discussion about designer clothing. True its not what the topic was about but hell its discussion and activity right?
Im just confused as to why such conversation needs to be halted, its the lounge thread, we are supposed to talk about random stuff. There has been a lot worse on here that hasnt been locked. -----------------------

We'd have like a thousand threads on one board at a time, man. I don't know if that would be such a great idea. A lot of message boards I see have changed topic mid-thread, and the ops havn't cared. And it does kind of promote activity, and since the topic isn't even important any more, why cut it off? Especially when we already have all the conversation there... *Shrug* -----------------------

I'm almost surprised I have to explain this in even more detail... Almost.
If you were to go to a message board with real moderators, the topics would stay on topic or posts would get deleted. If it got really out of hand, the topic could be locked or deleted entirely. It's netiquette to keep things on topic and not waste people's time when they go to a thread hoping to find one thing and find mindless ranting about a different topic.

Gragh this arguement again.
I thought we had this fight already and everything was going just fine but it seems once again I find that the lounge comnet, the place where we're told is okay to goof off and not take seriously is being clamped down.
Now I find myself in a middle stance on this, yes we need to have an attention span longer then three seconds but we also must be allowed to relax and have fun somewhere without the threat of a lock down hanging over us.

LIKE ITS THAT BIG OF A DEAL TO MAKE A NEW TOPIC!!! geez, you all need to take Ottos advice and pull your heads out. Tal's not saying we cant have fun, just make a topic that deals with..well...one topic... I can see where this may confuse some of you, I know its a very difficult concept, but seriously, just deal.
