I've always felt that if I wasn't contributing, and I wasn't having fun, I wasn't helping anything around here. When I returned from my previous retirement I was at a point in my life where I felt motivated to work for something I enjoyed and i had the free time to do so. That is no longer the case, on either count, and I've once again come to a crossroads. I haven't been contributing of late, and I haven't even been motivated enough to keep up with stories. I haven't had enough time for RL, much less the VE. I'm not having fun with the VE, and I wasn't making the VE any funner for anyone else. It is with great sorrow that I announce, yet again, my retirement from the VE. I will remain in the reserves, and continue to have a presence on IRC, and occasionally even on the Comnet. There is nothing I would like more than to effectively return to the VE sometime before I leave for my year abroad, but I don't currently see that happening.
However, on a positive note the Army is doing well right now, and the HSC is probably the most active it has been in recent memory. Keep it up, and keep having fun, because in the end that's what it's all about.
This is your life, and it's ending one moment at a time. Cherish each and every minute, and enjoy your time here, or wherever you are.
