Greetings,
After three and a half years of loyal service to the Vast Empire, I believe it is time to call it quits. As hard as this is for me to say, I feel that I am no longer able to actively contribute to the Vast Empire. At this point it is no longer acceptable for me to just be on a seven-eight month "extended leave." Even when I am not on leave, I'm often to busy to even check the comnet, or get on IRC, let alone try and run an effective compeition, as you all probably saw with the last Wildcard campaign.
The VE and I have shared a lot of good and bad times. My fondest memories of the VE will awlays be right when I joined, and the Imperial Omega Campaign started about a month later. I think most of you know what I'm taking about. Undoubtedly, the saddest moment, by far, was when Atrus passed away. Most of you probably remember that as well. Another event that stands out in my mind is the infamous "april fools joke" that went down about a year or two ago when Kadann faked Lucas Arts shutting us down. They had me going for awhile....
I hope that in my three and a half years of loyal service that I have made a positive contribution to the Vast Empire. I will still keep in touch with a few of you that I see on galaxies, or AIM. If any of you ever need help, my name is GVJaper.
Goodbye for now, maby sometime in the future I will be able to return and help out some. -----------------------

Jap, I'm going to miss ya. Although we didn't get together too much as PA and PC you still were around a lot when I first joined. Ah, the good ol'days. Anyways Japer, good luck with whatever road life takes you on; and hopefully you will get bored like Snake and come back to join us!  -----------------------
