Hmm, I see that the spec thing might not be a good idea, at least for the time. So, is there anything else that we could stand for? I know Krius said that he wished for us to become the Raiders of the Navy. All good, but how would we identify ourselves? In other words, what would be our Credo? Saying that we are the Raiders of the Navy wouldn't be very original.
So this brings up two questions:
What do we need to do to get there?
What would be our battle cry, our credo?
Also, I think we need to have some kind of goal that we would begin working on very soon. A vision if you will. More on that to come tonight...

Heh, Than Sion, I realize how stupid that sounds now... "Become the Raiders of the Navy."
I had a discussion with Kairo yestirday, and a thought hit me. Or realization or what ever lol. We were discussing something about competitions, and how some people are only active during competitions because they want to win. I think one way we can define ourselves, is just by having fun. Remember Kaph Squadron channel yestirday? Acting like complete morons? It was kind of like a bonding moment. I was laughing my ass off in real life 'cus some of the things we were saying were so stupid.
So anyways... How can we define ourselves? We don't need to. We don't need to have some kind of bad ass title or anything! Raiders isn't bad ass, we just have lots of fun doing what we do, and I realized that if you have fun doing what ever it is you're doing, then it doesn't matter if you win or lose. I know I sound so stupid saying this, because all I cared about at one point was dominating the ESC, but I really mean this. Lets just have fun writing and chatting.
Yea, I still want to win the ESC, and I will try my hardest to do so, but I want to have fun while doing it. It'd also be nice to see more activity even after the ESC is over. Thats what I never got to finish above. Kairo said that he didn't like the fact that people were only active during the competitions, and then when it came to regular squad missions they wouldn't post. My point is here, is that we don't want to be those people. We want to stay active all the time, and have fun as a squadron.
As for the credoe, we'll let the other squadrons make one for us.

That still leaves one question, how do we do it? What do we need to do in order to keep ourselves posting when there isn't a competition?
Maybe if we had some kind of posting goal for a given month, say July, it may promote activity. I'm thinking a goal of 56 squadron posts in July sounds pretty good. That would be exactly 2 posts weekly per person in the current squadron.
What do you think guys, up to it?

Not till I get a new computer bud. But, I can't wait either to talk to everyone in real time. Anyway, check it out. I got over 1000 words in and am flying. Just need you all to steer me clear. I can add to the posts. Easily. I just like to stay in the storyline.
Also, I have about 3000 more words to add to my personal story, I have just been trying to keep up with some of you in the Kaph story so far. Than, you are way too fast for me. Slow down and I can keep up in the Kaph and post in my personal story too.

Thanks but no thanks, Will. I have good relations with Trevor and would like to keep it that way by not going behind his back.
Its July 1st and Trevor isn't ready to go yet. So we'll just go with plan B, the reflection plot. This will take place in the ESC Story Thread and will be simple since it pretty much is self explanatory. It will be our characters reflecting on recent changes in the past. For example, the fact that Cyleaf is really messed up and is in critical care. Another thing you could work off of is the fact that there have been many command position changes recently. Be creative, this really isn't very structured beyond the fact that we are back on the Atrus. Hopefully we won't have to do this for very long.

You know, for a short time I got caught on the idea of waiting for Nazgul to finish their ESC story so we could go back to Cloaked Reunion. The ugly truth is that they really haven't done much with it since the abrupt ending of the ESC. So a couple night ago I was laying in bed when it hit me, we shouldn't sit on our hands wasting time with adding posts to a finished ESC story. Nazgul has hit a rut and the going back in time to finish a story would be sticky since there have been major changes in the squadron. So I came to the conclusion that we needed to have our own story.
The rough idea for the story came from Krius several months back. Willtconq was going to follow up on this idea until a wing story came up. Let's just say the idea ended up getting lost until I resurrected it now. So yesterday I planned the thing out on paper with the help of Krius. I know I said something yesterday about doing it that night, but I ended up not being in the mood for writing when the time came. So I wrote and posted it today.
The story is called Reverse Engineering. The briefing gives you all the info you need to start off with. Willtconq has agreed to take part in this story as the captain of the Tiamut. You can all start posting on it right away.
You all know to ask questions if you have them. -----------------------

Sorry, everyone, but the changes come so quickly, I can't keep up.
If so tho Krius. Reports are due on Friday's not Thursdays. And, I am lucky to get them in by then. I reported to Than, but out of respect for you, I will go back and report to you too.
However, just to forewarn you, I am usually late and report Saturday. But, I'm trying to do better by reporting just an hour or so under midnight on Friday. I may get better yet?

Etan, Krius is your new flight leader, and he can decide when he wants reports from his flight. Even if Than wants them by Friday, Krius can want them on Thursday. Heh Etan that was the main reason I made it on thursdays, but seeing as how you can't make the dead line then I'll make it on Fridays. I haven't sent my report into Than yet 'cus I wanted to see whats up with you. Its ok though if you can't make it on Thursdays. -----------------------
