"It"s all clear from here," Raziel heard Argon, a mile away, whisper into his hear. From his position Argon could clearly see the target. Raziel gave two different hand signals and the squad slid up towards the edge of the ridge. Lukas Yuy and Kuroishi headed off to the right at a tangent, moving faster but still keeping their heads down.
The Raziel slid to the ground and levelled his rifle; his eyes scanned the other side of the ridge. The rocky terrain swept down away from the squad for a few hundred metres before levelling out. Straight in front of them was a small stone building. It was small and squat, Raziel guessed it could only be made up of a few rooms.
"Argon, any sign of the POW"s?" Raziel whispered. He looked over his shoulder, high above the wraiths to where Argon was concealed.
"Nothing at all, not even a light inside." Afyon, also hearing the message, gave Raziel a concerned look. Raziel held up his right hand and moved his fingers through a small pattern. Immediately Lukas and Kuroishi started crawling down towards the building. Afyon pulled down a night vision scope from his forehead and fixed his eyes on the target.
"Interesting," murmured Afyon. He pointed down to the left of the building. Raziel"s eyes quickly picked out the movement.
"Guard drone." Raziel said once. Kuroishi and Lukas stopped still and Raziel, Yun and Afyon trained their weapons on the drone as it hovered towards the two wraiths.
"Please let it be a motion sensor," Yun whispered. The small device briefly hovered near Kuroishi before moving on, when it was a safe distance away the two continued. Raziel nodded at Yun who started to edge along the ridge, after a while he started to move forwards, circling the building at a distance. Raziel and Afyon also started to edge forward, but much more cautiously so they could still cover the others.
By the time the drone came around again Kuroishi and Lukas were at the walls of the house, whilst Yun was on the far side of the building. When the drone was far away Raziel whispered:
    "Yun?"
"Nothing new, one more door and an open window. There is a light inside but I can"t see anything from here."

Raziel and Afyon were soon leant against the wall of the building with Kuroishi and Lukas. Kuroishi slid around the side of the house. He pulled a small mirror on a thin handle from his pack and edged it around. He the looked at Raziel and gave five hand signals: Droid. Guard. Three. Hostage. Two.
Raziel pulled an electronic jammer from his pack and pointed to the door. Kuroishi slid under the window and crouched down next to the door, rifle held tight.
Raziel tapped the comm unit three times. After three seconds he threw the Jammer into the building, there was a brief flash of light and a crash. Kuroishi was on his feet in a flash, he kicked the door open and fired two shots. Lukas was at the window firing as well.
Before Raziel entered the building he heard three more shots from elsewhere, out of the corner of his eye he saw the drone explode farther up the ridge.
The building was dark and wet, it was virtually featureless apart from a few wooden chairs and a generator. Raziel moved quickly past three droids still smoking. Raziel moved into the next room and stood in front of the hostages, rifle levelled at the opposite door.
A second later Lukas went past him and stood by the door, when Kuroishi was also in place he pushed it open. Raziel kept his aim steady whilst Kuroishi quickly moved into the room. It was empty. The door on the other side was open and led straight outside. Raziel quickly turned to cover the door they had entered by, but no target presented itself.

"Yun, Argon report. Building appears secure." Raziel whispered into his comm, daring to break the silence.
"Some droids  came out from the opposite door, but they"ve been taken out." Yun said.
"The guard drone"s been destroyed." Came argon"s reply.
"Ok, secure the area!" shouted Raziel. Lukas, who had been examining the downed droids outside the building returned to the door and closed it. He leant his rifle on the window and looked out. Kuroishi moved the side they had entered from and did the same.
Raziel looked down at the two sacks on wooden chairs. He pushed something on the comm unit and spoke loudly into it.
    "Hostages secure, request further instructions."
"Exercise over, we"ll send a transport down. Excellent work by the way."
Raziel smiled, he nodded to Kuroishi and Lukas.
"You two can come down now," Raziel spoke into his comm.

=============================================================

"You moved across difficult terrain very quickly and yet not one of the probe droids detected you on the way in. very few squads have done that before." Cosmic was sat behind his new desk, his face shone in different colours as his face reflected the screen in front of him.
"I think the hand signals worked very well, I had several sound detectors laid out there and you slipped by everyone of them. However I have some criticisms." Cosmic looked up from his screen, his eyes quickly flashed across the room, barely pausing on each of them.
"I think leaving Argon out on his own above the target was a big mistake and I also believe you lacked good communication towards the end of the mission. Yun could quite easily have shot you as you came out of the east side of the building. In future I want to see more communication between you all when shots start being fired. I have sent you all a report on how the exercise went, I want it read."
"Yes sir." Started Raziel, noticing that Argon was stirring.
"We will all read the reports and do the best that we can to deal with any faults you find in our methods."
"Good, well all of these exercises have been leading up to something. Our friends at intelligence have some kind of hostage mission that needs a special forces squad working on right away." Cosmic took something from his desk and looked at it.
"He will meet you first thing tomorrow morning, the letter doesn"t have any location on it. I assume he"ll find you. And be careful around those intelligence officials, they"re a dangerous sort and don"t care much for the lives of those in their service." Cosmic looked carefully at Raziel.
"Show them what this division is made of, dismissed."

============================================================

The squad were all up as usual the next morning. They went through breakfast without hearing anything, but almost as soon as they were all leaving the barracks Raziel"s comm unit buzzed.
"Sergeant. This if Fury please come to my office now."
"Interesting," remarked Argon, raising one eyebrow.

Raziel knocked once at Fury"s door, instead of the usual call Fury opened the door himself. He stared at Raziel briefly, then nodded before standing aside. Raziel was instantly on his guard. Sat behind Fury"s desk was a tall, well groomed man. His jet black hair was slicked back and his eyes were a bright blue, his sharp gaze turned instantly to Raziel and his thin lips smiled ever so slightly. His black gloves, with the imperial insignia marked him out as an intelligence official.
"Please I"d like all of you to sit down." His voice was clear and crisp, but Raziel got the impression it could be whatever this man wanted it to be. The squad all sat down on seats spread out in front of the desk. Fury sat down behind the intelligence official and looked on.
"As you all know you have been assigned to me for a brief time to complete a small mission. It may seem rather boring and mundane to you soldiers of action, but it is important none the less. I am informed that some of you have a large amount of experience in these kinds of situations." He looked sharply at Raziel, then continued. Raziel wandered what kind of mission this was.
"As you may or may not know some of out best pilots are assigned to us for dangerous missions. Basically the fly long range scouts into enemy territory to try and pick up communications signals. These are sent back to us and we then decode them. Every one of our pilots knows the risk." Again he looked at Raziel quickly.
"Many ships are destroyed and normally the pilots are lost. Last year two ships flying together never returned, we don"t know for certain what happened and it was assumed they were destroyed. However our agents were warned to look out for the pair. Last month they were spotted." The intelligence official looked to Fury. The major touched a pad on his left and then a hologram lit up showing two men. First the holograms showed their whole body and then they increased in size so that only their faces were visible.
"On a small civilian planet they were both recently spotted, captives of the rebels. Now the rebels are not as efficient at obtaining information for us, but sometimes they can crack someone. Right now it looks like the pilots may have talked. What we need you to do is to go to this planet and find out exactly what has happened, what has been found out and ultimately to stop the rebels from gaining any further information!" He paused and looked at them all.
"And we are meant to do this how?" Raziel asked.
"You will be taken to the planet and shown around by our agent. Although the planet is under Republic control the city has only a police force and a naval launch pad. If all goes well you will need to attack the rebel intelligence building and find our pilots. Any captured republic soldiers will be welcomed, our methods of extracting information are far quicker and they would be invaluable." The intelligence officer looked at them all each in turn and smiled quickly.
"You will be contacted in two days time. Be prepared to move out then, civilian clothes, discrete weapons, no insignia, I"m sure you know what to do." Without pausing the official was on his feet and out of the door.

Fury slowly stood up and went to his chair. He looked at it for a second and then sat down.
"I can"t tell you who that was, but let me just warn you that he is a very high ranking man and a very dangerous one at that."
"I trust we"ll find out more about the mission soon?" Afyon asked.
"Oh I doubt it, not until the last minute that is. When you"re on the planet, wherever it is, you"ll be told exactly what you need to be told. I expect it will involve a lot of surveillance followed by a night time raid of some kind. You may be required to stay there for a time afterwards if there are any complications."
"I don"t like this," Yun said, he looked up from his feet and shook his head slowly.
"No-one ever likes dealing with them, efficient is all they are," Fury replied.
"One thing, although the city is a civilian city how could we possibly get those pilots out of there?" Argon asked.
"We"re not meant to," Raziel said.
"And how do you know that exactly?"
"He mentioned specialist skills and looked at me. I was an assassin. I think he was trying to get a message across."
"Well as far as I"m concerned unless they tell you so you"re to bring those pilots out alive. And remember I expect a good long informal chat with you afterwards Raziel, just so I know how the squad performed,"
"That"s very nosey of you sir," Raziel smiled.
"Well I like to know what"s going on around me, I don"t like this any more than you all do. There"s something about this mission and they way it"s being handled that suggests something larger than a simple rescue. Our special forces have always been called in for operations like this, but not in this way. No matter, it"s not our place to question them, just get this done." Fury smiled and handed them all a disk.
"Pictures and information about the two pilots along with some suggested equipment. Read it all and get ready. Good luck to you all and take care."

========================================================

[Summary: Chose equipment and weaponry to take on mission. Meet with intelligence agents in a weeks time to be taken to unknown planet. Once there the agent will show us around and give us more information. Right now it looks like we"ll be executing a hostage rescue. No information is given about the planet or city, but full descriptions and histories of the pilots has been provided. Get ready for the mission

Read all of the above story and take it where you want (to an extent) this is practise for any official stories that might be coming out way]

Argon sat in the quarters he shared with Afyon.

He would much rather have had quarters with Kuroishi, who he was used to, but Afyon wasn't bad to room with.

At the moment, Argon was packing his scouting gear into his bag.

Inside it, at the bottom, his explosives sat, already sorted and ready to grab at a moments' notice.

He was still seething from Cosmic's criticism.

He had done dozens of scouting missions for the Fallen Angels and the Planetary Operations Division of the Intruder Wing before that, always alone and never once caught off his guard.

The odds were better of him getting his job done if he did it alone, and he made a mental note to talk to Raz about that.

In with his scouting equipment, he included three of his hand blasters.

He snuck a quick peek at his closet where his lightsabers were hidden from the VEDJ (one he had made himself, and one had been passed down from his grandfather) but decided against bringing them.

Taking up his sniper rifle, he started cleaning it.

He hated having this feeling about a mission...

Afyon took Argon's lead and began stripping down and cleaning his weapons, carefully pondering over each one to determine if it would be of use or not.  In the end, he had managed to fit all he would need into two bags, an equipment bag, and a clothing/miscellaneous bag.

For equipment he decided on his commando gear, lightweight explosives, a round of concussion grenades, a 6" combat knife, two silenced automatic pistols, a silences semi-automatic carbine, a heavy grenade launcher, and a sniper rifle similar in model to Argon's.  He also other standard commando gear, communications equipment, survival gear, and a small belt clip datapad and a larger datapad with a transmitter.  For clothing he took everything from smuggler to civilian, to pirate, to rebel in order to have an appropriate mixture for the mission.  When he finally managed to cram all of that into his two bags, he lifted them and three cases of corellian ale and headed for the door passing Argon who was just finishing his packing.

(hovercartS )

"I've got the order!" Lukas shouted as he walked into the room. He was towing two large anti-grav cases.
"Well that was quick, i think people are speeding this stuff along for us with the intel involved. Normally takes them ages to get our mission orders in!" remarked Argon.
Lukas set the cases down in the middle of the room, he lifted the lids to reveal a mountain of clothing.
"Fury said the stores checked it all and this stuff can all be found in that city." he had barely finished when he was pushed out of the way as everyone scrambled to find their sizes.
Raziel managed to grab his stuff and get out of the way before the rest of his squad started throwing things everywhere.
He had a black and dark blue jacket, along with various shirts and trousers. He inspected each of the jackets to make sure he could work with them, smiling he set them down to one side. He loocked at the trousers next, they were made of a good strong material. Hopefully enough to hold whatever weight of weapons he'd be able to carry about him.
He looked back up to his squad who had finally found their own clothes and were now looking at them. Yun didn't look pleased with a pink shirt that had been given to him.
"Best leave that behind Yun i think fury may have been playing a joke," Everyone turned to him and smiled. He slowly put the shirt down.
"Afyon you did get yourself a set of civvy clothes didnt you?" Raziel asked.
"Yeah i checked them myseld as well," Afyon replied.
"Ok then i'll see you all in here tomorrow morning. Get a good night's sleep tonight and no drinking!" There was a brief moan and then his squad were back to trying on their clothes.

Sewing was such a useful skill, but Raziel wasn't about to do it infront of the squad. He was carefully working on the second jacket now, being careful to place everything as it should be. A few millimetres off and Raziel would have a datapad in his hand instead of a knife.
Raziel had made small pockets on the inside of his shirt's sleeves. No matter what weaponry people found on him no-one had ever detected the two organo-plastic knifes held close to his skin. The jacket had several compatments in it for throwing knives and a spare projectile pistol. His boots now held a spare organo-plastic throwing knife each.
He slide his holster over his shirt, it held two blasters and a brace of throwing knives against his back. he then slid two pieces of material around his lower arms and places another brace of throwing knives into them. He slid his two precious combat knives into his belt and smiled.
He was set now. Almost all of his weapons except for one pistol were hidden and no-matter what the spare organo-plastic knives would be within easy reach. The last things he packed were his thin wire, a good pair of binoculars without night vision(he had never needed) and his com-unit. He didnt bother with any heavier weapons, argon on his own had probably packed enough firepower for both of them.

Argon was packed and ready to travel.

A whiphid doesn't wear clothes, so he was able to give Yun an extra set to replace that awful pink shirt he had been given.

Instead, he carried three knives and a heavy projectile pistol burried in the fur underneath his belt where they would be covered from sensors.

In his belt, he carried the usual whiphid utility belt items, a thick and long rope, a grappling hook, a heavy mace, two wicked knives, and several other small but useful items.

Any customs official worth his beans would have learned by now that to take the belt away from a whiphid was to risk death, and this one wasn't any different from a usual belt.

On his shoulder, he carried his bag that he had packed the day before.  It was shielded from sensors so that they showed only cans, unmarked.

On his back, his sniper rifle had been camoflauged as a telescoping tripod.

Argon was packed and ready to travel.

Yun had a feeling in his gut.  He once had a feeling like this but it was back on his first day of training, it was fear.  It had been a few years since than and Yun had learned how to put all of his emotions away but the feeling was still slightly there.  Yun walked into the barracks and gathered the few belongings he would be bringing on the mission.  He first grabbed his throwing knives, his life had been saved by these more than once.  The next was his  T-6 blaster pistol which was one of his favorite possesions.  Yun looked over at Afyon
"How do you feel about this mission?" Afyon gave him a blank look and said
"I will do whatever im told to do but it just doesnt feel right, we excel in all out exercises but this mission just seems....not right.."  Yun nodded in agreement and went back to packing the few belongings that would be needed.  He also knew what had to be done and he would follow Raziel whatever order he was given but it was obvious something was troubling most of the squad.

(Im not sure if im supposed to be a sniper I didnt think so but just wondering)

Argon stared at the target in his sights.

It was dead center.

Almost.

He increased the zoom some more, twitching the rifle to dead center of the new, larger image.

It had been several years since he had began his meditations to eliminate fear in him.

Fear was a useless emotion to him, it only clouded judgement, made you overreactive, and generally destroyed combat efficiency.

Even the slight twitch away from a firing weapon was caused by fear, the slight twitch that would reduce the accuracy of the best trained marksman.

Argon focussed in another zoom level on the scope and centered the target again.

He had none of that anymore, his aim was true, his reactions were automatic, but driven my thought rather than emotion, and his marksmanship had improved dramatically.

He zoomed in another level, centered his target and fired.

The needlepoint laser flashed out, smacking the target only half a micrometer wide.

He pressed the button on the range to bring his target back in from 250 meters.

His target showed up soon, a fly that had been trapped to the paper by a sticky substance.

On the third hair of the seventh leg of the fly there was a hair.

In fact, "was" was definitely the right word for it, Argon had just spent three hours centering his sight upon it in order to fire that shot.

Releasing the fly, Argon returned the rifle to the range manager and headed back to the Wraith barracks.

He was ready for this mission.

(BTW, I assume I'm a scout, since that's what I've done ever since the old POD...)

The next day as requested the squad were waiting in the fourth briefing room. Everyone was packed now and ready to go, Raziel had his clothes packed along with a small sealed black bag. Inside the bag were several pieces of equipment that he had come to love while working for the acient hutt family.
Just as Raziel was about to start up a conversation the intelligence officer that they had met before strode into the room. He idly glanced about before sitting down infront of them. He didnt even pause for breath.
"Good to see you all again," no-one replied. The officer raised one eyebrow and then carried on.
"Although we have told you all a small amount about the planet you're going to i cannot disclose it's location. All i can tell you is that you will be going to the only large city on a relatively unpopulated mining planet. When you get there this agent will show you around. I hope you all play good tourists," he looked argon up and down quickly.
A holographic image flickered into life infront of them. Raziel memorised this man quickly as well. He already had the images of both pilots set in mind, a very useful skill.
"You're bags will be taken for you, don't worry we have ways of avoiding customs. That's all i can tell you for now im afraid. Enjoy your trip, i'll see you at hangar bay 4"

======================================

The squad were sat around in the hangar for almost an hour before anyone showed up. Another uniformed intelligence officer walked into and pointed to a shuttle.
"You'll be taken to a port, from their a civilian transport will take you the wrong way. A VE ship will then take you to a third planet and you'll go from there to the target. We will have men looking out for Republic agents at all times, we don't want them moving the pilots away from where they are now. Good luck soldiers."
The door on the back of the shuttle opened and a group of men walked in and took their bags.
"How are our bags getting there?" Afyon asked.
"They'll be taken more directly to save you some trouble.
"If anything has been taken or tampered with we won't be going ahead with the mission" Raziel interrupted.
"I assure you nothing will be removed." The officer replied. He saluted and left without a word.
"Do you think they'll take anything?" Argon said as their bags were taken away.
"I doubt it, they'll have a good look around though." Raziel said.

Before Raziel entered the shuttle after his squad he heard someone shout:
"Wait!" He turned to see fury marching across the hangar towards him.
"Good luck men," he said. He shook Raziel's hand and nodded to him. Raziel refrained from looking down as he felt something pushed into his palm. He nodded back at Fury.

======================================

Raziel shook his arm slightly as the shuttle took off. He held a small data disk up to his eye and looked at it carefully.
"Anyone have a datapad?" he asked.
He caught the datapad which Afyon threw to him. He gently inserted the disk and switched on the pad.
The first thing that appeared on the screen was a brown planet. Raziel quickly scrolled through the info, as he went his grin got wider and wider. Pictures of four imperial agents working in the city, one of them acting as a rebel soldier. More informatio about the pilots, although there was no information about their intelligence missions.
At the end was a footnote, added by fury.
"Take care, someone called Tucker was very interested in your activities."
Tucker was a contact of Raziels. He appeared to be in charge one of the largest independant intelligence groups in the galaxy. He could picture him now approaching Fury and offering to help keeo his men safe in return for information or credits. Fury must be concerned for the Squad.
Raziel's smile was large as he passed the datapad around.

(what happens when we get to the planet is up to you all!)

All the men were cramped up in the shuttle.  Most of the men had learned how to keep themselves busy by de-assembeling and reassembeling their guns or sharpining their knives.  No one was talking but the datapad was going around.  Everyone settled into a long trip.

.......................................................................................

A day later the ship was bouncing up and down.  Every man had a hold onto a bar above their heads to keep them from falling.  Yun leaned forward and got the first look at the planet.  It was ugly brownish from his view but he tried to keep his mind of ridicuous stuff like what the planet looks like.  Raziel stood up
" ETA is in 30 minutes, everyone get your gear I want us to get to our rendezvous area soon, got that?"
"Sir, yes sir!" came from the mouth of every man on board.  Yun grabbed all his gear and watched as the shuttle began descending very fast toward the planet.

At the rendezvous area, Argon listened as an intel agent outlined their travel plans.

They were to split up, but that was not unexpected, it was very hard to sneak and entire squad into an area all at once.

Argon listened to the relevant information:

He would be travelling alone.

He would be taken to Brodii by a VE ship first.

He would fly on a civilian transport from there as an architect enroute to the unnamed planet (the name of which would be revealed to him as he boarded his transport).

Upon arrival, he was to check into the Firmament Hotel, a place usually frequented by travelling businessmen, and go the architectural firm Maes & Roshoks.

These would be his contacts, and from there he was to reunite with his team.

He turned immediately after his dismissal and walked toward the VE transport, wondering what he could do to keep himself busy for two space trips.

Afyon listened to his instructions while attempting to stretch, his arms and legs were killing him from the flight and it seemed that this was only the beginning.  Afyon was to travel alone to Talus by means of a civilian shuttling service.  He was then to make contact with a small faction of Imperial loyalists on Talus where he would be smuggled onto one of their supply ships disguised as a smuggling ship from a group loyal to the Republic.  He would then be sent to the Bespin where he would then switch to a mining ship for the rest of his trip.  When he arrived at the un-named destination, Afyon was to use his cover as a self-employed businessman and register a room in a middle-class hotel on the outskirts of the main city.  He was then to wait there for 4 hours before leaving his hotel.  The timing was precise so that a taxi driven by his contact would be waiting outside the hotel.  All Afyon had to do was enter and he would be taken to the back of an old warehouse where he would switch to a small personal rental vehicle to travel to the same architecture firm as where Argon was supposed to go.  Afyon coded the important parts of the information into his datapad and coded it so that the wrong password would casue the info to self-destruct leaving no evidence that it had ever existed.

Raziel just wished they'd let him sleep when he got to the planet, instead he was made to walk around the cities centre for a short time. Nothing on the datapad that Fury had managed to give to him could have prepared him for the true diversity of this place. Although now alligned with The Rupublic this planet had always remained fairly independant. It was a trade centre for a vast area of space and there were literally thousands of different cultures walking around the streets, the particular atmosphere was also comfortable for a great range of species. Aliens Raziel had never even heard of before, wearing clothes that ranged from elegant to bizzarre walked these streets. Then again being an imperial soldier for many of his recent years meant that he rarely saw aliens of any kind.
As he walked around Raziel was vigilante though, when he spotted a human lurking behind him several times he wasn't suprised to recognise him as one of the agents on Fury's disk. As he walked around the centre the Rebuplican present became more and more visible, lightly armed guards were transported around on speeders, the population barely even noticed them.
Raziel decided he had had enough of exploring the city as a tourist and headed back to the "base of operations." although he was tempted to see the vast market where it was advertised "Everything from this side of the galaxy sold for a bargain". From what Raziel had seen he wouldn't be suprised if the first part of the advert was true. He was looking forward to seeing his squad again.

Argon looked around after arriving on the planet.

It wasn't an odd place, just like any major spaceport in the galaxy, Grodat was teeming with many different forms of life.

He headed instantly for the architectural firm, his grounding in explosives gave him enough knowledge about buildings to act knowledgable even to a real architect.

He thought back to the chess games he had played on board the last transport.

Most of them had been no challenge, but there was that one kid who had done quite well.

Argon arrived and reported in.

Now all that was left was to wait for his squad.

Afyon sighed a big sigh of relief after passing through the inspection point at Talus.  The inspectors had decided not to search him down when he set off the detector, perhaps they were tired of finding nothing on people that day.  BUt anyway, Afyon had managed to get into the spaceport with his pistol still on him and this was a very good thing.

Afyon quickly collected his bag of clothing that he had brought, his other bag containing weapons and equipment had been smuggled abaord a freighter bound for Talus and was to arrive shortly after his commerical shuttle.  The Imperial underground movement on Talus was reponsible for collecting his equipment bag and smuggling it and him onto a freighter outbound.

Afyon quickly made his way out of the spaceport and looked at the row of taxis outside.  He contemplated taking one until he saw six soldiers patrolling up and down the line, searching passengers before they entered.  Security was tight outside the port today it seemed.  Afyon decided that he had to avoid the Republic soldiers and make his way out of the spaceport on foot, perhaps entering a taxi as it left the building and proceeded to the entrance checkpoint.

As Afyon made his way towards the checkpoint on foot, he saw that passengers were also being serached there too.  Afyon wondered for a second if that had recieved word somehow that an Imperial special forces soldier was being smuggled into and out of the planet.  He quickly dismissed that as an unlikely thought as he realised that the Republic would probably not care very much about one soldier, unless they were interrested in burning the underground ring on Talus.  Afyon decided to be more cautious when meeting wiht the ring in case one of them was a spy for the Republic.

As Afyon neared the gates, a taxi approched as well, there was one occupant and the driver inside.  Afyon signalled for it and it stopped to let him in.  Afyon sat back in his seat but had his hand lying on his chest near where his pistol was in his shoulder holster.  IF necessary, he was prepared to gun his way through the checkpoint.  As the taxi reached the checkpoint, it was ordered to stop and two soldiers approched, one at the drivers window and one to the window behind the driver.

"Get out, we are searching all leaving vehicles and occupants."  The soldier growled as he reared his head inside the vehicle.  The other passenger and driver nodded and as the soldiers pulled their heads back, the passenger made a suddenly movement followed by two quiet whisps and the flinching of his shoulder.  The taxi lurched forward and through the gate throwing Afyon against the side of the vehicle.  The passenger had shot the two soldiers...

OOC: Bare with my guys, I am going off of what Afyon wrote and it may not make much sense but here I go!

Lukas looked at Afyon with an determined look on his face when he saw the two soldiers get shot.

Lukas: "Afyon...I will go and get the driver out of the car..you stay here and I will drive it"

Lukas then got out of the car and looked around seeing more officers heading his way, he knew this was a risky chance but open the drivers door and shoved the driver out.

Lukas got in and closed the door and hit the pedal to the floor driving off at a high speed and he then turned into an alleyway.

He peered back at Afyon and grinned and nodded.

Lukas: "So Afyon..were should we head off to?, I missed the mission briefing..so I don't know what is going on.."

He continued to drive on for about 15 more minutes and then stopped when the coast was clear and got out.

Afyon got out as well and they both walked into a nearby abandoned building on Talus.

Lukas: Alright Afyon...I need the briefing on what is happening and the objectives...then we can be on our way"

"I'm afriad it looks like two of your men will not be joining you soon."
Raziel looked around at Kuroishi, Argon and Yun. He then looked this strange officer up and down before fixing him with a cold hard stare.
"What happened to them? Do you know?" Raziel said quietly.
"Afyon has not reported in to our loyalist friends on Talus and we are unsure of Yun's whereabouts."
"Can we complete the mission without them?" Raziel hoped that maybe they could be done with this and go and find the other two. There was something annoying Raziel though. This officer had not been in Tucker's report, intelligence that came from him was rarely wrong, so why was the officer supposedly in charge of operations here not present. Raziel silently contemplating revealing some of his knowledge in a bid to find out exactly what was going on here.
"The men present have the necessary skills to complete the mission. We only need to surveillance men, someone to cause a distraction and someone to infiltrate the republic embassy here. We believe them to be held there which is good, it will make your job easier than if they were being held at the garrison."
"Are they being held prisoners?" Argon asked.
"We believe they are being interrogated yes. We also believe they have let valuable information slip into enemy hands." Raziel realised that argon was onto something here and wasn't about to give in.
"Why would they be held at the embassy then? And how would recon pilots know valuable information? I thought they just intercepted transmissions, not decode them?" Argon asked? Raziel looked at the officer out of the corner of his eye. He wasn't surprised to see the officer remain completely calm. Excellent training.
"We don't know why they're held at the embassy, but recon pilots often pick up uncoded transmissions deep in republic space." Argon looked down for a second, thinking. Before he could press things any further the officer continued.
"Argon and Kuroishi will be acting surveillance. we happen to own property with that affords an excellent view of the embassy. Yun will need to cause a distraction, possibly shooting someone in public, if the embassy guards here it they'll probably react to it rather than wait for the local police force.
"Raziel you will find a way into the embassy, we'll cause a small power loss that should help you. We know roughly where the pilots are kept so you shouldn't have any problem finding them." The agent looked around the squad as if that explained everything.
"Won't this method make getting the pilots out of there difficult?" Raziel asked.
"I'm afraid so, but if it isn't possible then stopping them from divulging information is of primary concern."
That was it Raziel's mind was made up. There was so much more here than they were being told and this agent had something to do with it he was sure.
"Why isn't officer Ryak here?" Raziel asked suddenly. He took great pleasure in the look that passed across the officer's face. He sharply replied:
"I don't know how you knew about him, but Ryak was dismissed to work elsewhere. It is important I'm here to oversee this mission! Important to us all!"
Raziel refrained from smiling. This whole thing stank of a cover-up and it had something to do with this agent.
"What do you have to do with the pilots?" but it was too late the agent had already regained his calm.
"Yes I suspected between you all you would be able to enquire some information. You all have very interesting backgrounds. It was my recommendation that a better drilled squad would be assigned to me, but I was ignored. Anyway Raziel you've done this enough times I hope you can get on with it." With that the agent strode from the room, leaving the four of them slightly confused, but all the more determined to get to the bottom of this cover-up.
Raziel quietly contemplated the implications of the empire knowing about his background.

Afyon stared silently at Yun for a second after Yun had asked for the briefing.

"What the hell are you doing here?"  Afyon finally asked after staring intently into the eyes of the man who was supposed to be on a transport bound for Selonia.

"Um, I was late to the briefing, saw you getting aboard a civilian shuttle, and followed you on."  Yun replied in a confused manner not sure as to what he had done to piss off Afyon.

"Ok fine, this operation was only planned for one person so it is going to be hard as hell explaining all of this but I am sure I can work out a way for you to get where I am going as well."  Afyon replied after a moment of thought.

"And where is that?"  Asked Yun still waiting for an explanation of what the hell the two of them were supposed to do deep in the heart of Republic territory.

"Need to know Private, now where is that weapon of yours?"  Afyon demanded as he pulled out his pistol.  Yun pulled out the gun he had used to shoot the two soldiers.  "Ok fine, we have probably arroused the Republic security force so you might need that thing in order to compelte the mission.  Now, you will come with me to a bar in the main downtown section of the main city.  There I will enter and sit down in the booth I was supposed to sit in.  You enter ten minutes later and sit on the other side of the bar, do not ever make eye contact with me.  Head directly to the middle of the left-side, sit down, and keep out of trouble.  Fifteen minutes after I enter the bar, I am supposed to order a Corellian Ale and then make a fuss with the waiter.  After shouts are exchanged, a fight will break out between us and two men will identify themselves as plain clothes members of the Republic security force.  They will lead both of us out and down the street to a meeting place, I do not know where this is.  At the meeting I will explain to them the situation and then we will move from there.  Twenty minutes after we leave the bar, you leave the bar and head for the hotel next door.  Go to the bar there and sit in a booth in the corner.  You will most likely be approached by one the men who arrested me.  When he pulls his pistol and orders you to rise and come with him, be semi-resistive but eventually cooperate and he will lead you to the hideout.  Do you understand?"  Afyon asked.  Yun sat back and absorbed the information for a second.

"Yes ok, I will do exactly that.  And Afyon?"  Afyon turned back to face Yun.  "Sorry for screwing up."

"Don't worry about it."  Afyon replied as he got up to leave the warehouse.

Afyon quickly scanned outside the back entrance of the warehouse and once he was sure all was clear, he and Yun proceed out.  They needed some form of transportation to get downtown as walking for too long a distance would expose them to the observation of many Republican forces who may or may not have gotten word of their presence.

Eventually, it was decided that taking a taxi was about the best option and after walking three blocks, Afyon and Yun managed to find one waiting outside a bar.  After a small argument and AFyon offering 20 credits to the driver to drive them instead of who he was supposed to be giving a ride too, the driver accepted.  Five blocks from the bar, the two got out of the cab and made their way slowly towards the building as they still had forty minutes before Afyon was supposed to enter.

After making several detours to ensure they were not being followed, the two split up and AFyon entered the bar as instructed and found the designated booth empty.  Yun meanwhile walked another detour and entered five minutes later sitting on the opposite side of the room.  So far everything was go well.

Argon sat in the room that the intelligence group owned with Kuroishi.

The people in the next room probably hated their guts by now, they had spent the entire time rotating shifts and throwing knives at the wall when it wasn't their shift.

"See anything yet?" asked Argon from the chair where he waited, wondering if it was worth getting up when he ran out of knives.

"Not yet," replied Kuroishi, "and it's your turn in two minutes."

'Ah good,' thought Argon, 'that solves the problem of the knives.'

"Wait a second," said Kuroishi, "Yun's distraction has started."

Argon got up and looked out the window just as a landspeeder crashed through the front gates of the embassy, only to be blasted by eight automated blaster cannons almost instantly, stopping it flat and dropping it to the ground to land with a ground shaking explosion.

The guards, for their part, started to wearily get up from where they had thrown themselves as the speeder bore down on them.

As they tried to shake their hearing back, another racket began to sound from the other side of the embassy.

An explosion lit the sky as another landspeeder crashed, this time into the embassy wall.

Argon turned back to the room, impressed at Yun's distraction and noticed the newspaper.

The newspaper with the headline "Rash of Speeder Thefts!!" on it.

Out the window he heard another explosion and a smile grew on his face.

"You're clear whenever you're ready Raz," he said into the room's comm, "I think Yun's got them occupied for the next while."

"Roger," came the reply.

Argon turned off the comm and returned to watch the window.

On another part of the embassy wall, another bright explosion lit the night.

(OOC: my bad, realized my last two posts I typed in Yun instead of Yuy for the person Im with, I apologize if I caused any confusion)

Afyon looked at his watch, another two minutes and then he was supposed to order his Ale.  He noticed that Yuy had walked into the bar exactly on time and had walked to a booth on the left hand-side.  Afyon was impressed to see Yuy followed orders and did not look any near his direction the entire time.  Afyon looked back down at his watch again and saw it was time.

"Waiter, a corellian ale make it fast please."  Afyon called to the waiter at the booth in front of him.  A minute later, the waiter brought his mug of ale on a tray and set the mug down infront of Afyon.  "Oh come on man what the hell you trying to pull?"  Afyon exclaimed as he took a look at the glass.  "You should learn how to actually pour a full glass you cheap bastard!"  Afyon exclaimed as he rose to his feet.

"Now just a minute sir you shut up and enjoy your ale or get the hell out!"  The waiter growled as he turned to leave the table.  Afyon reached out with his hand and grabbed the back of the waiter's collar spinning him around towards Afyon.  As the waiter's face came around, AFyon reached back with his right arm and let a punch fly right into the right side jaw of the waiter.  The waiter when flying backwards as Afyon felt a crunch go through his hand.

"Dammit!"  AFyon exclaimed as he rubbed his most likely broken hand.  The waiter got up and charged at Afyon and the two began to wrestle each other around, bumping into a few tables.  Quickly, two men jumped into the fray and pulled Afyon and the waiter apart.

"Republic Security Forces!"  One of the men identified himself and pulled out his identification.  "You," pointing to Afyon, "Come with us now, you have caused enough problems here."  He ordered as his colleague took out a pair of binders and clasped them on the arms of Afyon who was struggling to get free.  "Alright take him out.  The show is ovver folks, enjoy yourselves."  One of the RSF imposters said as he and his partner led Afyon out of the bar.  Ten minutes later, they had reached the meeting place and they took the binders off of Afyon.

Raziel lifted his head just above the edge of the window and peered in. No sign of any guards. He looked along the edge of the window frame carefully. He then pulled a small black object from his pocket and held it up to the window and then around the frame.
Looking down and the small scanner he smiled, in truth he was suprised to see such an old system installed. He had accounted for ten minutes to get inside, he deftly ran his fingers up one side of the window as he inserted a small tool under the window. He felt the tiniest vibration and lifted the window. Ten spare minutes to find them.

Argon was smiling as he watched guards flood out of the building to aprehend whoever was causing the trouble. He stopped smiling when they didn't stop flooding out.
"Christ there are hundreds of them, what the hell is this?"
Kuroishi was already speeking into his comm unit to no avail.
"Can't get a hold of Raziel, Yun's safe out of the area though."
"Damnit" Argon opened up a case on the floor and started assembling a rifle.

The lights started flickering from the speeder collisions, Raziel made his way through the complete chaos almost unhindered. All he heard was shouting and occasionally groups of soldier's would flick by. Then the power went completely out as promised. Before the backup generator was online Raziel had made it to the recommended room. He pulled a pistol from under his clothing and checked the door over. He gently pressed the pad and the door slid gently open.
In the half dark he quickly made out three faces, in a split second he recognised the two pilots and fired on the unknown. His supressed pistol barely made a sound and the guard fell to the floor.
The lights came back on suddenly. The two pilots were sat talking at a table and hadnt even noticed Raziel entering. Now there guard was dead and a small mad dressed in black was aiming a pistol their way.
"I'm here to get you out, come with me!" Raziel said and he turned to shut the door
"Trust me no matter what you're intentions are we're safer here than we are with you!"
    "What?" Raziel replied.
"I'm guessing intelligence wants you to get us out of here dead or alive, he failed last time, he won't this time."
Raziel just looked at them for a moment.
"I'm not taking you to them, you're coming with me. And you're going to tell me what this is about!" He levelled his pitol at them for effect and they were quick to get on their feet.
He turned and opened the door, only to be face to face with a republic officer. Raziel grasped the man by the back of the neck and pulled him into the room, his knife slid under his rib cage as the officer stumbled forwards.
    "Sir?" Raziel heard someone calling.
    "*^$&" Raziel said.

    "There he is!" Argon shouted.
"Where?" asked kuroishi, quickly scanning each of the windows. Then he felt Argon push his binoculars upwards untill he was looking at the roof.
He saw Raziel through a grenade down through the open hatch and then close it. The two pilots were backing away from Raziel and the hatchway as Raziel frantically looked for something to seal it with. He blasted the opening mechanism in the hope of keeping the guards away for a bit longer.
Then Argons comm unit beeped and Raziel was talking to him: "I need help, any kind of help"
"I see you, i suppose i could get the guards attention and then at least you might have a chance, there's a way down the building behind you but there's too many guards down below you."
"Damnit why are there so many of them?" Raziel asked, but before Argon could reply the comm unit beeped once more.
"This is officer Khall i see that you have two clear shots of the pilots. It is obvious that there is no way they can get out alive. Take them out and your squad leader may have a chance."
Argon looked to kuroishi, but he was already informing Yun of the situation.
He picked up his rilfe and looked to the embassy, unsure of what to do. He looked down at the guards outside the embassy and then at the pilots....

Then, before he could make a choice, Kuroishi tapped Argon on the shoulder.

"He's in there," he said, pointing to an abandoned building just barely visible from their room.

One of the windows showed a small speck of light.

Smoothly and without hesitation, Argon swiveled his rifle in that direction and fired one shot.

He had no need to worry about the guards noticing, his rifle was a projectile weapon, and it was silenced.

Over the comm, they heard a splattering sound, then a thudding sound, and then silence.

Khall was no longer able to pull the strings.

"Raz," said Argon as Kuroishi began to unpack their heavy baggage that they had managed to acquire through Kuroishi's contacts rather than Khall, "we're ready to help blast a way out if you can hold on for another thirty seconds."

"Blast a way out?" asked Raz, "Look, I know you're good with explosives, and it's not that I don't trust you, but..."

"Relax," interrupted Argon, "this isn't explosives, it's much more fun."

He looked behind him at the nearly fully assembled E-web heavy blaster cannon that Kuroishi had nearly finished assembling.

"We're just about ready," continued Argon, "just run where we tell you to."

The affirmative reply from Raziel was cut off by a yelp as the Republic troops burst through the hatch.

Suddenly, the E-web opened up in full, ripping through the troops at the top of the stairway and sending the stairway itself collapsing down on the rest.

At the same time, Argon let loose a shot at the Republic sniper who had been setting up in a nearby tree.

The rather rude arrival of his body rather disturbed the complacency of the troops under the tree.

"Run to your 2 o'clock," said Argon, "Afyon's coming from that direction, and I'll be he has something planned.  We'll cover you."

Behind him, the E-web kept up its' continuous stream of fire, wreaking havoc among the completely unprepared Republic troops...

"We are under attack i repeat we are under attack!" the guard was beginning to rally his men around the other side of the embassy from the repeater. The initial confusion was dying down and he had called for more men and some heavy weapons.

"Raziel this is Argon, the republic troops are cowering," he smiled wickedly. "You're all clear, but we have two problems. One, the troops will be rallying soon and coming back. Two, we're getting bored cos they're all hiding."
"Understood," Raziel looked at the two pilots, obviously not happy with the sudden turn of events. "Down there!" he shouted, motioning with a small holdout blaster that had appeared from no-where.
As they climbed down the side of the building Raziel heard the sound of Kuroishi's repeater opening up again, looking over his shoulder raziel saw that the guards were returning fire again. The battle lasted only as long as it took for Argon to line up a shot with the officer's head.
Then as the guards turned to flee they spotted Raziel and the pilots coming down the wall. Raziel turned to look at them and saw a wall of blasters pointed there way.
"Down!" shouted a low ranking officer. Then Raziel caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of his eye.
"I was going that way anyway!" Raziel shouted.
"I tell you what you can start moving or i'll make you come down a lot faster!" replied the officer.
"To tell the truth i could use a hand!" The officer raised his rifle, but only in time for his squad to be run over by a speeder carrying Afyon and Lukas.

"This place is crawling with republicans! come on!" Raziel forced the pilots into the speeder. Afyon turned the speeder in a slow graceful arc and accelerated before any of the guards could retaliate.
"Argon get out of there, you know where to meet us!"
Argon and kuroishi packed up there stuff and left the room. Just after they left the heavy weapons had arrived and a guided rocket anhihlated the room.

Raziel looked at the two guards and smiled. "Don't worry we're not taking you to intelligence. You tell me what this is all about and we'll get along just fine." Afyon turned to Raziel:
"This is going to be interesting, we're gonna have to abandon this speeder and go on foot, too many of them around."
"Afyon, it's night and we're Wraiths remember?"

[afyon you can carry on with telling how you got here if you want]
